Disconnect From Reality, or, How To Be A Good Democrat

soccer moms driving SUV's.

Fairy Dust

A beautiful fairy appeared one day to a destitute
refugee claimant outside a Maryland immigration office.

' Good man,' the fairy said, 'I've been sent here by
President Obama and told to grant you three wishes, since
you just arrived in the United States with your wife and three children.'

The man told the fairy. 'Well, where I come from we don't have good teeth, so I want new teeth, maybe a lot of gold in them.'

The fairy looked at the man's almost toothless grin and --

I do have to give Obama credit, I have never seen anyone else more capable of speaking out of both sides of his mouth at once than he is.

There are usually only two sides to an argument...Barry seems to be able to argue at least SIX sides of any argument at the same time. I think it's a good example of the old axiom "if you don't have the facts, just dazzle them with Bull Shit".

Another Nail in the Coffin

The Senate confirmed Sonia Sotomayor Thursday as the first Hispanic justice on the Supreme Court. The vote was 68-31 for Sotomayor, President Barack Obama's first high court nominee. She becomes the 111th justice and just the third woman to serve.

Congratulations to Ms. Sotomayor and the Fiddy Two'rs that led to her selection as one of the most powerful people in the U.S.

Since she replaces Justice David Souter, her liberal activist views won't make too much difference initially in the general decisions of the Court, but since there are at least two other Justices that will most likely need to be replaced before the end of pResident Obama's first term; she is the beachhead placement that will swing the Court to be the most radically Liberal it has ever been.

My personal grudge, and I fully admit it's MY bias, is Ms. Sotomayor's cavalier attitude towards the Second Amendment, and her unswerving defense of PC affirmative action (not the TRUE AA of equal opportunity, but the mere plugging in of racial/sexual quota numbers to achieve "fairness").

We can only truly judge her performance once she's been on the Court for a few years and she's had the opportunity to show her true colors; I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt for the time being; she may surprise everyone - it has happened before. BUT I would exhort all my fellow believers in the 2Nd A. to batten down the hatches and dig in for the long difficult fight I believe is just beginning. Keep the ammo locker well stocked.

OK, so this poster has started appearing all over the Los Angles area...

So what, You say, just political satire/commentary? Right? The normal snarkyness associated with our freewheeling libertarian type of political system.

Well according to the local Dimicrat powers that be: �Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery;it is mean-spirited and dangerous.�

You know, I never heard ONE word of protest over the last eight years when President Bush was depicted as Hitler, or a big eared monkey, or any of the other 20 variations of satiric depictions that were displayed in the public media on a daily basis; it was just "blowing off some steam" when progressive pundits publicly advocated the assassination of President Bush in (according to them, unserious) tones. Yet let anyone depict their Icon in any manner other than in the most reverent, and it's suddenly a case of being beyond the pale for political discourse.

It's almost as if Hopey-Changetude were a religion with pResident OBamba as its god, and any that questioned Teh WON were committing blasphemy of the highest order...and you know what happened to blasphemers in the past.

Personally, I need to go see a guy at my local print shop and see what it would cost to print a thousand posters .... and maybe see about getting a Nomex firesuit?

Happy Birthday !

On this day in 1790 the U.S. Coast Guard was created by Congress, which authorized Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton to build a small fleet of 10 cutters to protect the coast. It now constitutes an active-duty force of just under 42,000 individuals, with 11 different types of aircraft and 34 different types of ships and boats, ranging in size from a 21' navigation assistance boat all the way to a 420' Ice Breaker. Both naval and air operations are conducted 24/7, no matter what the weather conditions. The Coast Guard's responsibilities run the gamut from interdiction of smuggling and law enforcement within our territorial waters, all the way to search and rescue operations within our territorial waters.

The Coast Guard serves a critical role under the Department of Homeland Security in the vital job of protecting our nation from all who would do her harm, and I for one would like to offer thanks and gratitude for a tough job well done.

There you have it, right from the horses mouth. The Progressives would have you believe that the Federal government is,and of a right, SHOULD be, the final "safety net" for those on the low side of the spectrum. As you can see from the quote above, that was as far from the Founders original intent as it's possible to get.

The Founders believed in the equality of OPPORTUNITY, not the equality of outcome. The Federal government has usurped powers unto itself that are far beyond what the Constitution granted it, and it's up to US to rein that out of control animal back in line.

The Founders knew that a strong Federal Government would ALWAYS lead to tyranny, and took great pains to limit that central government to prevent said tyranny; WE have been lax in guarding against the pernicious gathering of Federal authority since the days of Woodrow Wilson and all but ceded control to the Government under Franklin Roosevelt, with the natural result of ever increasing intrusions upon our personal liberties ever since.

The Federal government is like a locomotive barreling down a steep slope, gaining speed and momentum at a geometric rate, I pray that we can get the brakes to hold to bring the train to a stop, but I fear it has reached the point where only a bloody derailment will accomplish that goal.

The Other Nursing Home

Arabic family was considering putting their grandfather (Abdullah) in a nursing home. All the Arabic facilities were completely full so they had to put him in an Italian home.

After a few weeks in the Italian facility, they came to visit Grandpa. 'How do you like it here?' asks the grandson.

'It's wonderful! Everyone here is so courteous and respectful' says grandpa.

'We're so happy for you. We were worried that this was the wrong place for you. You know, since you are a little different from everyone".

''Oh, no! Let me tell you about how wonderfully they treat the residents", Abdulla says with a big smile. 'There's a musician here-- he's 85 years old. He hasn't played the violin in 20 years and everyone still calls him 'Maestro'!

� There is a judge in here -- he's 95 years old. He hasn't been on the bench in 30 years and everyone still calls him 'Your Honor'!

''There's a dentist here - 90 years old. He hasn't fixed a tooth for 25 years and everyone still calls him Doctor?!

Idiocy and the Obama Administration, but I'm being redundant

WELL, HAVE YOU?

Sure seems the Obama Administration has...last thursday they announced the nomination of two devout Muslims to be on the planning board of the Dept. of Homeland Security administration; both men have known ties to extremist groups such as Hezbollah. The Fox guarding the Hen-house analogy comes to mind... Tell me, just what person in his right mind invites the enemy into the inner circle of those planning the defenses against that enemy ?!?!

Just another example of pResident Obama's naivete and lack of real world experience that is destroying our Republic at an ever quickening pace.

God, Guns, Guts and Pick-up Trucks

A car dealer in Missouri is offering a free AK-47 with the purchase of a new vehicle from his dealership, and it has a CNN reporterette quaking in her broadcast chair.
She seemed to be most offended that the dealership motto had both the terms of God and guns within the same sentence. The twit also had the idiocy to state ' I can understand the desire to protect oneself, I grew up with weapons in my childhood rural house, but using a "semi-assault" rifle is overkill' O RLY? I'm certain that her father probably had either a 30-30, 30-06 or 12 gauge shotgun, and there is certainly no quantitative difference in lethality between those weapons and an AK-47, but as usual, GFW "reporter" doesn't know her pretty derriere from a cess pit in the ground when it comes to weaponry. That fact doesn't stop her from trying to sow fear among her viewers about the Evil Guns to be released to spread havoc on society by "gasp!" believers in a Higher Deity.

I know who I'd buy my next vehicle from, if I lived in the 'show me' state. Heck, might even be worth a road trip, I need a new truck....

Immigrant Style

The pResident wants to pay for everything else for Illegals, why not this?

An illegal immigrant picks up a hooker. 'Hey, how much you charge for one hour, sister?' he asks.

'$100,' she replies.

With a heavy accent he says 'Do you do Immigrant Style?'

'No,' she says.

'I pay you $200 to do Immigrant Style.'

'No', she says, not knowing what Immigrant Style is.

'I pay you $300.'

'No', she says.

'I pay you $400.'

'No', she says.

So finally he says, 'OK, I pay $1,000 to do Immigrant Style.'

She thinks, 'Well, I've been in the game for over 10 years now. I've had every kind of request from weirdos from every part of the world. How bad could Immigrant Style be?'' So she agrees and has sex with him.

They do it in every kind of way ... Finally, after several hours, they finish.

Exhausted, the hooker turns to him and says, 'Hey, I was expecting something perverted and disgusting. But that was good. So what exactly is 'Immigrant Style'?'

"Birther" argument #2

Funny thing about being a Nation run under the idea of The Rule of Law..would-be dictators soon run into the hard fact of life that our Law usually stymies their effort for total control. Justice may be slow, but in the end, it usually prevails.

Just for review, our Constitution states that to be eligible to run for President, one must:

1) Have reached an age of 35 or older, and,

2) Be a naturally born Citizen of the United States.

It is this second requirement that has the "Birthers" in such a state of anger. First of all, there has been no DEFINITIVE proof shown that the current occupant of the Oval Office was indeed, born in the U.S., and secondly, under our Immigration rules; even IF Barry WAS born in the U.S.; that "natural born" status was lost to him when he was adopted by a foreign national and moved to that foreign nationals home country to live. His mother's status as a Native Citizen was not enough for him to retain his Citizenship, as she was too young and had lived outside America too long for that citizenship to be naturally conferred on Barry; under the BEST of circumstances,he would have held Dual Citizenship, and Dual Citizens are barred by the Constitution from holding the Office of President, Vice President, or Speaker of the House.

The FACT that Barrack Hussein Obama was legally adopted by Lolo Soetoro is not in dispute; the FACT that BHO was taken to live in Indonesia, Mr. Soetoro's homeland is not in dispute. The FACT that BHO OFFICIALLY lived in Indonesia as an INDONESIAN CITIZEN seems to be officially ignored by the Democratic Party, the Congress, and certainly the MSM.

Somebody help me out here. If our Constitution states that dual citizens are not eligible to serve as President, HOW did Barry get around this little detail?

This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro.

It was KNOWN by BOTH the Democratic and the Republican parties that this man was NOT ELIGIBLE to run for the office he now sits in; the Democrats didn't care about a little thing like legal eligibility, all they cared about was electability, and the Republicans didn't have the spine to insist on full investigation into the matter of eligibility because they were too frightened about the charges of Racism sure to follow any such demand.

The Republican's own candidate faced the same questions of eligibility and the manner in which the the two men responded demonstrates the difference between the two sides.
Faced with the question, John McCain promptly released every document he needed to to demonstrate that he was, in fact, eligible. McCain refused to make BHO's status an issue, despite the fact that the Democrats had rabidly tried to bar him (from running) by the same reasoning with far less evidence.

Barrack Hussein Obama Soetoro, on the other hand has STILL not released ANY documents to demonstrate that eligibility; indeed, he has spent over a million dollars and employed eleven separate law firms in the court fights to prevent the release of ANY of his documents.
There is no reason to take those type of actions unless there is something in those documents that would preclude this man from even running, much less holding, the Office of President.

The old adage that "where there is smoke, there is fire" would certainly seem to apply. Do we REALLY want a man in our highest Office that can't even be honest enough to stand the scrutiny required to be involved in high political office? One who by his policies has shown his disregard for the privacy of the ordinary Citizen in matters of Health-Care, Finance,Job Security; indeed, even in the types of automobiles that will be available to them; yet still insists on TOTAL privacy for himself?

I not only say no, I say HELL NO! Unless he shows us his Bona Fides; he should be impeached, at the VERY least.

The time to lock and load and join the skirmish line is drawing nigh quickly; I hope to see you beside me rather than in my gun sights, the prospect of firing upon my fellow Citizens is abhorrent to me, but less abhorrent than allowing our Republic to slide into Fascism without at least a good fight being brought against it.
