Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Democrat Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin: We Must Relentlessly Prosecute Trump Personnel So That Young People Are Too Scared to Join the Conservative MovementAs with many bloodthirsty leftist authoritarian operatives lately, she says the quiet part out loud. She's another degenerate CIA authoritarian now attempting a color revolution in the US.Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin publicly called on Democrats to intimidate young conservatives who want to work for the Trump administration by prosecuting the president's staffers. Slotkin (D-Mich.), a former CIA analyst, contended that Democrats must "go after" and make examples out of officials in President Trump's orbit who engage in corruption to send a message to young people who may want to join the administration. "I want young people coming out of school to say, 'Should I go work for the Trump administration? That sounds fun, I might get an opportunity,'" Slotkin mused at a University of Chicago event last week that has since gone viral. "I want them to be like, 'Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems I don't want, and so let me avoid participating in that,'" the senator went on. "I want that deterrence message sent." ... Slotkin reflected that despite her voting to impeach Trump twice, he's still in the White House and seemingly alluded to how he survived the four criminal cases against him. "The people around Donald Trump who are doing his bidding and enabling this have no such immunity. They have no immunity the way the president does," she added. "And to me, he couldn't do any of this stuff without all of those people saluting and supporting it. So you go after the people who do his bidding." Slotkin's remarks ignited a firestorm on social media from conservatives. "Sen. Slotkin, a self-avowed 'defender of democracy,' told me and other conservative students that we should live in fear of political persecution if we dare serve our country in the Trump administration," University of Chicago student Michael Bicksel posted on X. "Sadly for her, we will never be intimidated by her Bolshevik-style tactics." ... Last week, Trump openly mused about going on a massive pardon spree, including a self-pardon near the end of his time in the White House. "I don't want to see people that work for me go through years of nonsense, hire lawyers and everything else, all for nothing," the president told Newsmax host Rob Finnerty.I'll take a pardon, if he's handing them out. Miranda Divine: This CIA communist whore is another fake "moderate."

A throaty fuck you to Elissa Slotkin. Come at me, fatty. See if you can reweaponize the government to come and get us, because it sure won’t be your flabby, cottage cheese ass, fat face doing it. You’re doing nothing but motivating people, especially young men to oppose the Democrats and side with individual liberty. You motherfuckers used the government to come after everyone last time you were in power without cause. You jailed a bunch of people for nothing but disagreeing with your party. Blow me. Second thought. No thanks, balloon face.

BTW they want to immediately roll back all the Second Amendment gains. Anti gun groups are funding the key 8 house races. I posted this earlier: Slotkin knows exactly what she's doing. She establishing the Dems as the Strong Horse -- nobody wants the risk of being outside of the party that's willing to use violence to advance its program.
I observed this here in 2016 after that goofy MP was shot just prior to the Brexist vote. Some folks were worried that this would galvanize the Remain vote (most of us here were pro-Brexit). I correctly observed that in being seen as using violence, the Exit vote demonstrated raw political power which probably swung the vote toward Brexit (never to be implemented unfortunately). Trump has gotten better at this in his second term but still has a long way to go toward Machiavellianism. He should never have tolerated Jack Smith continuing to live on this planet. Posted by: 18-1 Court system and selection effects on lawyers are a barrier to doing what the Dems do. GOP judges are not that ideological and tend toward GOPe behavior on the bench. Lawyers, ditto. Best way to fight then is to defund the left and we can do that albeit a lot of people here will be moaning and groaning about it. Well for one this is not a presidential election year. For two they are way way ahead here. Their plan may not be to duplicate 2020 but to totally out-fag it. Whatever you think the Left has coming it is generally worse. And you don't get to know when until they do it. I would not put much stock in "well there's no riots this year" as any sort of salve. Also there is riots, they are replaying 2020 as we speak, just not here. There is much more going on, including the supposed rise of the DSA. Never deal with what you can see the Left doing or not doing. It won't get you far. For all anyone knows it may be as simple as they are concerned Trump has a plan to deal with a repeat of 2020. So this movement - which is not a majority - is winning open primaries with multiple candidates running. El-Sayed would have lost against a single frumpy woman, but two of them split the vote. GA and NC look better for Democrats, but they did just start and both states only had Dem heavy precincts open over the weekend. So, we'll see if they follow similar patterns as OH where Dem turnout seems really good early and dies out faster than the last couple of cycles. Watching a France 24 "debate" about the Communist/Islamic insurrection. The panel uniformly is seeing the insurrection as exuberant social unrest and a need for France to do better towards its "immigrants". Geezh.
JD Vance's European speech and Marco Rubio's Athens speech which outlined what is at stake for Western Civilization completely went over the heads of the Europeans. Perversely, it seems the enemies of Western Civilization got the message clearly and are using the content of those speeches as a how to guide to tear apart Europe. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, precisely framed and deadpan with Wes Anderson at October 19, 2026 02:10 PM (+B3Bm) ________ Yup. And nobody including Obama wanted Biden to run. It was Hillary's "turn." Plus, what is any chance that he's not running based on? Some offhand comment he made in an interview (see my comment above) that's been misleadingly reported? I mean, come on now. 282 Rare but does happen. And Biden did not run because Obama indicated he would support Hillary over him. That is the wild card floating around here and may also be part of Vance's thinking.
Posted by: whig at October 19, 2026 02:13 PM (E4rtv) ========= 99/100, you're going to be right saying, "This person who is an obvious front runner is going to run." Could Vance be the 1/100? Sure. i would be ok with this: vance succeeds trump as pres, keeps marco as sec of state and has desantis as atty gen. marco succeeds vance as pres, keeps desantis as atty gen or maybe sec of war. good to have a line up for the future

That is the problem. Democrats tend to run everywhere and not be strategic candidates, GOP candidates have traditionally run when they have a good chance so the average GOP candidate usually has a better resume than a Democrat on average. Selection bias.
Posted by: whig at October 19, 2026 02:10 PM (E4rtv) --- The Dems were very good at candidate selection in 2018, choosing lots of military veterans without any sort of voting record and winning swing districts. But they then voted like maniacs, and many got bounced. Now the DSA has short-circuited the selection process, while the GOP has cleaned up its act. The first-wave MAGA types were often clownishly bad, and we suffered. The GOPe also worked to undermine them, but those guys are mostly gone now, and so we're getting better quality candidates. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd ====== I am talking beyond a particular election cycle. Used to do research on congressional primaries regarding candidate efficiency at converting resources into votes. Part of that was candidate quality which you used either the jacobson measure which was dichotomous and the Krasno Greene measure which had a ordinal point scale. The Jacobson measure is just whether they held prior political office or not. The Krasno Greene got into what type of office, etc. Quality GOP candidates would also not run when the tide was against their party except in safe seats. Don't see the same behavior by Dems. In fact, I think some of the eternal Dem candidates rely on that for a 'job' and winning is just a bonus. Posted by: whig at October 19, 2026 02:19 PM (E4rtv) 306
