Good morning kids. And so the breaking news this morning is that Iran and the United States have come to terms to bring hostilities to an end, just as the clock was winding down to about three hours before the latest aerial assault by the USAF was set to take off. The main hangup, according to the source, was “sequencing,” referring to the order in which the terms of the arrangement would be fulfilled. Those terms have included reopening the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the US blockade of Iranian ports, releasing frozen Iranian funds and Iran’s willingness to discuss a plan to destroy, degrade or transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium and vow to never seek a nuclear weapon. While Iran has repeatedly demanded economic incentives before it would sign an MOU, Secretary of State Marco Rubio last week told Congress that lifting sanctions would only be considered in exchange for real nuclear concessions. Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly refused to release frozen Iranian assets to begin the talks. The apparent breakthrough happened after US forces pounded Iran’s coasts overnight, targeting missile and radar systems in retaliation for the Islamic Republic downing an American Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz Monday night, as source familiar with the operation told The Post. The strikes lasted approximately four hours and ended shortly before dawn broke across Iran, targeting the theocratic regime’s “military surveillance capabilities, communication systems and air defense sites,” according to US Central Command. Trump announced the agreement hours after threatening to strike Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT” in a Thursday morning post to Truth Social, adding that the US would also soon invade Kharg Island, a hub of Iranian oil refinement. “At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela,” Trump wrote on Truth Social after 8 a.m. For me, the fly in the ointment as it were is that the Iranian regime and its ability to terrorize the world and its own citizenry as it has done ever since Jimmy Carter pig-piss be upon him allowed them to take over the country 47 years ago and metastasize into the sharp edge of the Islamic sword that has shed oceans of blood, quite a bit of it American, in that time. So color me highly skeptical... If (the Houthis) and Iran’s other proxies now watch the United States reach for the familiar off-ramp — sanctions relief and a deal that lets its terror network survive intact — they’ll read it as confirmation that pain pays, just as Tehran taught them. And a presidential administration that has shown its readiness to act would be squandering its own leverage if it trades pressure for the illusion of calm. The key point is this: The Islamic Republic is not Venezuela. Rodriguez and her cronies are corrupt autocrats who want to survive; pressure can change their calculus. Iran’s rulers are corrupt too, but the regime’s true believers also see themselves as participants in a religious struggle for jihad. And lest we forget, the Regime is propelled not merely by the personal venality and egomania of its leadership but primarily by Islam and its eternal quest for the subjugation of humanity, or its destruction should that goal be unobtainable. And bear in mind that with Shia Twelverism, unleashing Armageddon in the quest for global conquest is a prerequisite! Another Taqqiya sunrise?! It sure seems that way. Can the Mullahs outlast Trump's final two years or so and are they counting on perhaps a Democrat and RINO/isolationist assisted Congress coming to power via the midterms to keep them in power, just as Congress betrayed the South Vietnamese in 1975 and unleashed the Killing Fields on southeast Asia? We'll have to wait and see as the President is wont to say... Just as I'm posting this, I'm hearing news that the Iranian foreign ministry is now denying that any deal at all has been reached. Have a great weekend,

The thing to remember is that we really don't know WHY. But you look at the details )if you have the patience), and when it gets to how they haven't worked out about handing over the uranium you know there's really no deal. The disturbing possibility is that the US missile shortage could be somewhat real, I think. But they could just be taking some time to assess what damage they did and update the target list. 57 No misdirection. Trump thought he would bomb the islamic regime out of existence, and be home in a month. It hasn't worked out that way, so he needs an exit through one of his 'deals'. The regime is still in place, still murdering Iranian citizens. Their nuclear weapons program will start up again.

This is an 80-20 issue, with the 20 represented here. No one wants American soldiers to die for Iranians that want to stay in their death to America country. They didn't rise up, so rather than give them more reasons to hate us (by bombing them to the stone ages), it's time to head out. Can is kicked...we can reset in another decade. For perspective, the United States military lost in Vietnam almost 10,000 aircraft (3,744 planes, 5,607 helicopters and about 1,000 UAVs). Out of 5.25 million sorties in the war. Our very low loss rate in Iran is a testament to our prowess in the air, and well-maintained aircraft. We've lost ~20 UAVs, 6 fighters, one KC-135. A C-130, 4 little bird helos and I think 2 Apache helos total. Well, and some ground losses. The E-3 Sentry was the one that hurt. Don't have a lot of them. The press badge becomes a kind of moral shield. Editors at the upper level are obstacles to truth rather than supervisors with authority. >>I fail to grasp the brilliant strategy of a "deal" with them.
What would be the alternative? Do you think we should level Iran and then be on the hook to rebuild it and run it? There aren't always easily achieved perfect outcomes. Sometimes you take the one that sucks the least. You know what nobody talks about anymore? Venezuela. Trump made a deal there too, got control of the oil, got the Panama Canal back in western hands and we didn't have to rebuild a failed country. And there was no regime change. I was told that would be impossible as well. Apparently, all of the Middle Eastern countries are onboard with the deal at least for now, including Israel. And unlike us they aren't hearing the details of the deal from the media. Trump has earned my trust when it comes to issues like this. Posted by: JackStraw at June 12, 2026 08:59 AM (viF8m) 225
this is the supposed draft that will be signed in Geneva over the weekend :
- Iran gets $24 billion, out of which $12 billion at the signing - Iran doesn't give up anything, just promises to "talk" about nuclear issues - Iran won't even have to talk about limiting its long range ballistic missiles Totaly not like Obama! Allegedly , t's not an agreement it's a MOU (lol) and ...it's spectacular!
"A permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon. A U.S. commitment not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and to respect the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Full lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days. A U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from areas surrounding Iran. Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under arrangements determined by Iran. Suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products, and related derivatives, along with full Iranian access to the resulting financial revenues. The United States and its allies would be required to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion. A 60-day negotiation period aimed at reaching a final agreement covering nuclear issues and the complete removal of U.S. primary and secondary sanctions, as well as the repeal of relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors. Reaffirmation by Iran of its commitment under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) not to produce nuclear weapons. During the negotiation period, the United States Posted by: runner at June 12, 2026 09:03 AM (GD0B3) 236
would commit not to deploy additional forces to the region and not to impose any new sanctions.
The release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets during the 60-day final negotiation period. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before negotiations begin. Establishment of a monitoring mechanism to oversee implementation of the agreement. The final agreement would be approved through a UN Security Council resolution. Final negotiations would not begin before the release of half of Iran’s frozen assets, the suspension of oil sanctions, and the lifting of the naval blockade. The final agreement would focus exclusively on the future of enriched nuclear material and uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and a program for rebuilding Iran’s economy. Discussion of Iran’s missile program and its support for resistance groups would be definitively excluded from the agenda. Posted by: runner at June 12, 2026 09:03 AM (GD0B3) 237

@dcopechatter 🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Tens of thousands of Spencer Pratt voters are now receiving rejection letters from the county clerk saying that their ballots were not counted due to signature irregularities. Yet, Governor Gavin Newsom just passed legislation that would make it illegal for anyone conducting oversight, to contest signatures that they deemed fraudulent. Democrats allow ballots to be signed with an X, a -, or a 🙂 to pass and count, but all of a sudden, only Republican signatures are being flagged for irregularities, rejected, and not counted. 🤔 One of these California Republican voters said that his signature has been on file for over 20 years and there has never been an issue until he voted for Spencer Pratt. Nithya Ramen has beaten Spencer Pratt by less than 3000 votes. There are at least 18,000 Pratt voters who received this letter saying their votes were rejected. I don't think the administration really thinks Iran will adhere to any "MOU" or whatever. There will be fighting in Lebanon by this time next week and multiple drone attacks or missiles launched by rabid IRGC "commanders" in the field as well.
Iran has at most a dysfunctional "government" right now. We're not dealing with one or two or even several Iranian mullahs. We're dealing with a mash-up of Islamic nutjobs, all with their own agendas. If, by chance they all agree to cool their jets for a while I'd be pleasantly surprised.
