Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Sunday Overnight Open Thread - June 1, 2025 [Doof]Zion National Park Feel good story He Traveled 10,000 Miles To Thank The Man Who Saved His Life ![]() In a powerful moment years in the making, two strangers who now share an unbreakable bond finally met face to face in the town of Preston, England—half a world away from where their story began. Luke Melling, 31, from Melbourne, Australia, had battled Hodgkin lymphoma since he was 16. After several relapses and years of grueling treatment, he was told that his only hope for survival was a stem cell transplant. With no match found in his family or even across Australia, the search went global. After six long months of uncertainty, the answer came from 10,000 miles away: Alastair Hawken, a father-of-three from Lincolnshire, UK, was a perfect match. *** Alastair, who runs a gingerbread business, sees his donation as part of his legacy. “If I achieve nothing more than just seeing that smile on your face, then I’ve achieved everything I need to achieve.” Now fully recovered, Luke has even run a marathon and is urging others to consider joining the stem cell donor registry. Alastair hopes their story inspires more people to register. “There’s nothing that makes you feel more complete as a human being—and when it’s a success story like this, it makes everything worthwhile.”Read the whole thing. ![]() Towering above the rooftops of Mulegns, a picturesque village in the Swiss Alps, the recently unveiled Tor Alva (White Tower) is the world’s tallest 3D-printed building. Mulegns, a tiny village of only 12 permanent residents nestled at the foot of the Swiss Alps, hardly seems like the perfect place to install the world’s tallest 3D-printed building, but local authorities decided that the unique installation could help revitalize the slowly fading community. Tor Alva stands 30 meters high and has a modular design featuring a total of 32 individually printed columns connected by giant screws and steel cables rather than glued with cement. No steel frame was used when printing the tower’s pieces, but its creators claim that the technological innovations showcased by the tower make it both extremely safe and easy to dismantle and move, if necessary. *** Tor Alva was unveiled on May 20, 2025, in front of a crowd of about 300 excited people who were then able to climb the 3D-printed stairs of the tower all the way to the top floor, which acts as a domed theather for various artistic performances, but also as a platform for taking in the breathtaking alpine scenery.More photos at the link. • Evening Glam: For date nights or summer soirées, go bold. Metallics and jewel tones are making waves this year. Elevate the look with statement heels and minimal jewelry to let the dress shine. • Layering for Versatility: Pair with a lightweight blazer or denim jacket for cooler evenings. A few options to consider: You know I love a good Farm Rio dress! This Off-White Palm Euroflax™ Maxi Dress screams summer and the cut outs offer a more modest approach to the trend. The fabric is breezy and the print is so fun. ![]() ![]() Another option from Farm Rio that is a more covered up version of the trend is this Off-White Richelieu Euroflax™ Maxi. The shoulder straps are adjustable. Remember, Farm Rio makes a really nice product, but their sizing is very inconsistent. Read the reviews before purchasing as you may need to size up or down. ![]() This dress is from Beyond Yoga and gives a more relaxed option to the trend without being overly revealing. I have it in navy, it’s one of those dresses you can just throw on with white or tan Superga mules and go in both comfort and style. Sandals, espadrilles, flats are all easy to wear with this dress. ![]() ![]() ![]() Interested in a higher end option? Ivanka Trump wore this Joanna Ortiz Into the Wilde dress to the Style Saves event. Style Saves is a non-profit that raises funds through fashion focused events to provide underprivileged students with new clothing, shoes and accessories. Yes, that is Rachel Sager with her. ![]() ![]() I could not go this week without highlighting our Second Lady! Usha Vance wore a gorgeous Badgley Mischka square neck floral midi dress to the Military Mothers celebration on May 8. The shoes are Stuart Weitzman Nudist Block Metallic Leather Sandals in gold. Meanwhile, in Ukraine:
1. Ukraine commandos blew up two railroad bridges inside Russia, about 50 miles inside the border, with accompanying wreckage of trains. This may affect Russian logistics for the battles now happening in the northeast for perhaps a week. 2. Using trucks carrying cargo containers with drones in hidden compartments, the Ukrainians made multiple attacks on air bases deep inside Russia, damaging or destroying numerous aircraft (40 by Ukrainian count, 10 by Russian count.) It is unknown if any more drone trucks are still in Russia. 3. Talks between Russia and Ukraine are still scheduled for Monday in Istanbul. Expect the Ukrainians to demand an immediate ceasefire, based on their "incredibly successful attack." Expect the Russians to ignore them and instead hand them their latest conditions for Ukraine's surrender. Posted by: Idaho Spudboy at June 01, 2025 10:33 PM (GM4rl) 88

Remember the story of some young Russian (?) woman, only fans "model" (so an escort) dumped at some construction site ? Found her mangled and broken, still alive. There is a creepy sub-culture of sheiks hiring these women to do unspeakable things. Dubai 20 years ago would not let an unmarried woman into the country. Now ? I realize all of it. I know you do too. The truth is there are an assload of guns in the northeast. Smith and Wesson, Ruger, others, all founded here. Might have been chased away by leftists like the ones in Austin, you aren't immune, but the legacy is still here. Lots of tasty deer and stuff too. The reality is that you aren't stopping them down there with guns anymore than the northeast you guys rip on daily. Good people will stop bad people. Guns are just a tool. Wormhole over Lawson, Missouri seen ejecting multiple objects We received the following information and witness photo on May 9, 2025 from Margie Kay, MUFON’s assistant state director in Missouri. She also is a licensed private investigator and paranormal investigator who is very thorough in confirming information before presenting anything on her KUNX Digital Broadcasting Network or in her Un-X Magazine. – The editor Jennifer Regan was the first to report a “sky show” over Lawson, Missouri in May 2025. She believes she saw a wormhole open in the sky and then she witnessed a large vertical beam of light with multiple objects ejecting from it. That was in the daytime on May 1, 2025. Then on May 3, 2025 another woman in Lawson was walking her dog at 4:40 a.m. and saw multiple objects coming down a strange, large, bright beam of light. She counted a total of 38 different objects. Like the first witness, she believes the light beam came out of a wormhole in the sky. MUFON investigators confirmed that no objects were seen on radar and no satellites were in the area at the times of the sightings. Posted by: Mister Ghost at June 01, 2025 11:58 PM (TGPs7) 251

How soon before one of these Islamic jihadi illegals goes door to door in a Jewish neighborhood or holds a Jewish school hostage? I really feel like this is going to happen. One of the founding members of the Muslim Brotherhood that spawned al Qaeda and eventually led to the worst attack on the US homeland ever was Sayyd Qutb. He was an Eqyptian Islamic retard who spent a couple of year in Colorado at some bozo college supposedly doing research and learning about the west.
He went back to Egypt and became more radical than ever and preached about the decadent west who allowed things like men and women dancing. While he was in prison in Egypt for even being too batshit crazy for them he met a doctor, also a fucking full on crazy asshole. His name was Ayman al-Zawahiri. He was bin Laden's right hand man and far crazier than even bin Laden. You probably see where this is headed. Colorado, crazy mutant Islamic psycopaths. Bad JuJu. Eyes out. I wonder if they even know who the Rolling Stones are. When I was a teen (which, granted, was...a while ago) I don't recall the girls wearing stuff with 80 year old men on it. As a mid 70s teen, I can tell you that even the Rat Pack era stuff which was 15-20 years old at the time might had been ragtime and Al Jolson to us. That Vlad guy - he was obsessed. Every single time royal protocol demanded that he be invited to Castle Orlok, I would have to ask, "Most serene and noble voivode, what would be your dining preference?" And every single time he would say "Stake!" And all of us had to laugh for an excessive amount of time because he was the Voivode of Wallachia. And you know what he did to those who ended up on his bad side. This continued until we fragged him -cough cough - that is to say, until he perished in battle at Snagov in a manner most befitting a brave voivode. Yes, that's the ticket, Vlad fell at Snagov, and was definitely not taken out by his own forces. Such a thing would be unthinkable.

Joe Kidd,
First off, my comment was about people who have regular colonoscopies. Most people do not. All mine are in the hospital as I have an ICD. My first time was, in my late 50s, when I was in the hospital with something else. Mentioned I needed one. Saw a Doc. Few days later, it's done. But I have to go to the hospital every time. Unfortunately, as a cardiac patient, I'm a big deal. So I'm not a fair criteria to judge the age by, considering my other major health issue. I was told somewhere in the early to mid 70's for people with no real polyp/issues before. If you have a polyp history, it can get extended. But the problem with the polyp history extension is if you have a certain number of polyps, 5-10, you have to have coloscopies every 3 years, instead of the normal 5. If you have more than 10 polyps, you need colonoscopies every year. Again the problem/issue my current doc tells me is the anaesthesia. Some people don't react well, and less so with age. At a certain point, do you want to keep rolling those anaesthesia dice? Posted by: RickZ at June 02, 2025 03:02 AM (gKDq2) 351
Thanks for the clarification, Rick. My family medical history puts me in the high risk category, but fortunately my screenings are done on an outpatient basis. Your situation justifies a more considered approach, obviously. Prayers for an uneventful procedure and a quick recovery.
