Dan Bongino: We're Discovering Lots of Evidence Deliberately Hidden by James Comey
Updated

Bongino says the FBI is "closing in" on at least one of the criminals who committed one of three deliberately-unsolved crimes: who planted the DNC/RNC "pipe bombs," who leaked the Dodds decision, and who smuggled Hunter Biden's cocaine into the White House.

The FBI is ramping up its investigation into pipe bombs planted in Washington, D.C. on the eve of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots in 2021.

One top official is now suggesting that after four years, the bureau is getting close to a major break in the case.

"I want answers on this, and I'm pretty confident that we're closing in on some suspects," FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told "Fox & Friends" Thursday, noting the case is a top priority.

The FBI renewed its focus on the unsolved case earlier this year. In January, investigators released new video footage showing the person who planted the bombs outside the headquarters of both the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C.

Bongino criticized what he described as a lack of attention to the case during the Biden administration, despite the broader focus on the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, for which over 1,000 people were arrested and convicted.

"We were told by partisan actors out there, this was the insurrection, the world was [going to] fall apart, and no one seemed to show any interest in this case," he argued, adding that he and FBI Director Kash Patel have made the pipe bomb investigation a priority for their department.

Besides the video footage, in January the FBI also released more details about the suspect's physical characteristics. They believe the individual to be about 5-foot, 7-inches and to have worn a grey hoodie, face mask, black gloves and Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes.

Investigators claim they've followed hundreds of leads, reviewed thousands of video files, and conducted over 1,000 interviews in the case. Bongino emphasized the importance of public involvement and said social media is a vital tool for generating new case leads.

"Every time I put a tweet out, we get tips. We got a fascinating tip on one of these cases. One of the three," Bongino said, referring to three high-profile cases: the 2021 pipe bombs, the 2022 leak of the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision on abortion and the cocaine discovered in the White House in 2023.

"I don't [want to] say which one, but I'm pretty confident that we're going to close out one of them, hopefully, soon."

Fox says he's saying that he'll close the pipe bomb case, but as I see it, he's saying he's about to close "one of the three," either the pipe bomb case, the Dodds decision leak, and Who Placed Hunter Biden's Cocaine in the White House?

Bongino also says that Comey has forced the FBI to track down dozens of copycat "8647" death-threat makers. "He's a child," Bongino says.

"I've got to tell you, of all the things that have surprised me in the close to now three months I've been here is the depravity of Jim Comey," Bongino said. "This man is a disgrace to the badge, the FBI and the country. What he's doing right now, one, going out and taking mean shots at Kash [by saying he] doesn't belong. Kash was the chief of staff, Kash is a patriot. Kash has served in numerous high-level roles. Taking personal shots while you're on the beach implying a threat towards the president and you're blaming your wife about it." (RELATED: James Comey Deletes '8647' Post After Online Backlash Sparks Call For Investigation)

"And let me just add about James Comey, the same Comey who walks around demoralizing to everyone about what a wonderful human being he is. What you said is absolutely accurate," Bongino continued. "We have wasted countless man hours now running out tips to our tip line about people putting '8647' because of Jim Comey, because he cannot control himself and his emotions. He is a child. He is a big child."

He also says that as they're investigating the "bad actors" of the last regime, they're finding a lot of evidence "lost" or deliberately hidden by Comey and Wray:

What kind of hidden evidence are they finding?

If you remember Nellie Ohr -- she was a key FusionGPS employee and part of the RussiaGate hoax. It just so happens to turn out that her husband was a leftwing employee of the Department of Justice who pushed FusionGPS's lies to the DOJ.

Evidence proving she lied to Congress just happened to be hidden in an unsearchable file, this guy says:

Update: The NY Post reports:

The wife of a former Justice Department official gave "demonstrably false" testimony to Congress about her involvement in drafting and disseminating since-debunked dossiers about Donald Trump's purported collusion with Russia in 2016, according to a bombshell trove of internal FBI records released Wednesday by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

Nellie Ohr worked for research firm Fusion GPS when it was hired in the lead-up to the 2016 election to dig up dirt on the Trump campaign's alleged links to Russian organized crime -- but later told a House panel she did not know about the DOJ's parallel investigation into the matter.

The Fusion GPS research repeated errors or included information similar to that discovered later in the Steele dossier.

Ohr also sent emails -- some of which she later deleted -- directly to DOJ prosecutors, not all of whom she admitted to interacting with in subsequent congressional testimony.

Ohr's husband Bruce, then a deputy associate attorney general, received more emails as well as a thumb drive from Nellie containing Fusion GPS research that was passed on to the FBI.

The couple personally met Steele at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington on July 30, 2016, and discussed allegations -- later relayed to the bureau -- that Trump campaign aide Carter Page had met with Russian officials and that Kremlin intelligence had the Republican candidate "over a barrel."

While the Ohrs invoked spousal privilege before Congress on the question of whether they discussed the Trump-Russia probe, the declassified FBI files put out by Grassley reveal the bureau determined there was "little distinction" between the couple's professional and personal lives.

"There is probable cause to believe that Bruce and Nellie did communicate with each other about their respective activity in furtherance of the Russia-collusion investigations and/or narrative," the 43-page FBI document written in September of 2019 states.

The records were compiled in response to a criminal referral made that year by then-Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) that claimed Nellie Ohr knowingly gave false testimony about her involvement with the collusion investigation to the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees in October 2018.

The Justice Department never prosecuted Ohr. In November 2019, the department did secure the conviction of Trump ally Roger Stone for lying to congressional investigators amid their probe.

"Ohr never suffered consequences for advancing the phony Trump-Russia narrative and attempting to cover up her involvement in the hoax," Grassley said in a statement. "Yet time and again, the American justice system has been weaponized against President Trump and his associates with reckless abandon."

47 We know that Comey either lied under oath in a Court or to Congress.

Unless you believe that he can release "his notes" only to his lawyer, and get Mueller appointed.

For both of this statements to be true, it would HAVE to the case that by releasing "his notes" only to his personal lawyer, Mueller could be appointed special counsel.

Did he think his lawyer could appoint a special counsel?

Comey is an undeniable perjurer.

Posted by: Axeman at May 29, 2025 01:23 PM (Q4cxx)

48 Heard an interesting analysis. Why didn't Patel and Bongino do a thorough walk-through of the entire FBI building and other facilities the first couple of weeks of being appointed? Why was an employee bringing files to their attention? Could the employee bring files to create a cover, i.e., mole? Problem with the way that this is proceeding, is what if there are other files on the fourth floor being moved to the fifth or to another building?

In hostile takeovers, it was suggested that you need to acquire the domain, i.e., walk through the entire property with helpers, record what you see, document who you talk to, etc. It was also suggested doing a full audit afterwards.

Patel and Bongino may be doing this backwards.

Its useful to break things down into segments for description of time passing and to note events. Without months, Independence day would be the 183rd of 2025. So even without specific lunar events, it would be useful to have weeks and months. With really slowly rotating or non-rotating planets, a year would have to be redefined, though.

I don't think that why we have months though. We have those because the cycle of the moon impacts things like tides and whether you can see at night - those are important things to keep track of.

I don't doubt that a species living on a gas giant would come up with convenient time units, but probably not related to their moons which they likely wouldn't even be able to see.

This is the kind of stuff that is interesting to me in sci fi. How do you decide the calendar on another planet? How do you define time in space? I like to think about that stuff in fantasy as well. How do you describe distances in a world that never had Romans to define a mile? Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at May 29, 2025 01:24 PM (2VST1)

There are pretty commonly measures used to mark off plots of land. For travel itself you have miles = 1000 steps, or the league which is in the same ballpark in size but not precisely defined. The other measure that could have been useful was a 'day's march or travel' unit which I don't know has ever been formalized.

I'm no astrophysicist but wouldn't it take some amount of time for Earth to begin to drift from orbit due to inertia? Orbit would probably start to degrade immediately because you've eliminated the main gravitational force involved in establishing that orbit but lurching into an immediate straight line doesn't seem right.

My own internet searching finds differing answers as to whether if the sun disappeared that the effect of its gravity would end immediately or after 8 minutes (the time for light to reach earth from the sun)

Also a large number of people that don't want to answer the question because "it can't happen" which isn't even true per quantum mechanics....yes yes the odds of the sun disappearing are so low it will probably never happen for an object of the sun's mass anywhere in the universe for as long as it will last...but its not a 100% never...

Posted by: Spitballing based on 6th grade earth science at May 29, 2025 01:40 PM (TbWk/)

It's exactly right. Inertia is exactly what makes it go in a straight line. The only thing making it curve is the force of gravity accelerating it constantly out of that straight path. Stop the force, stop the acceleration, velocity (as a vector) stays constant. There's no transient when the force is released, there's no "lurch", because the velocity vector at the moment the force is removed just remains what it is, smoothly and constantly.

There are theories still getting grants that have been disproved many times since I was in grad school. They jugger the theory so the predictions are beyond our ability to test and keep getting grants. Axions, Supersymmetry. I was suspicious when they decided there should be twice as many particles as we have because 'its prettier', but somehow all the other ones we don't see had their mass jerked up so we can't detect them. Always thought it was nonsense, even before the repeated failures came to light.

Not stretching and rebounding. It is just stretched by the presence of the mass, just as your golf ball on a course will bend by a rise in the green. There isn't anything pulling on the particle, it just responds to the curve.

The index of refraction does slow light. That's why it bends in the lens.

The math answer is that to reach the speed of light using Special Relativity the mass of the particle becomes infinite. Thus you can't make it go faster. And there are plenty of experiments validating that.

352 It isn't so much that there's nothing allowed to go faster than light, it's that there's no such physical thing in reality as going faster than the speed of light. It's a hard limit. The structure of reality doesn't allow anything to translate faster than that. The faster you go, the heavier you get, which is why only things that have zero rest mass can actually go the speed of light (like light, or any other boson). Not only that, light itself can't -not- go the speed of light. If you "slowed light down", somehow, it would cease to exist. Which is essentially what inelastic scattering is, and why solar panels work.

Waves propagating from spiraling black holes eating each other propagate out at some finite rate. I don't know that says about the speed of the effect of mass on space-time curvature wrt "e" but it sounds a little naughty doesn't it? 437 352 It isn't so much that there's nothing allowed to go faster than light, it's that there's no such physical thing in reality as going faster than the speed of light.

So God, angels, the "future paradise" can exist and overlap. Though paradise seems to refer to a place on earth ... but all that math is beyond me anyway.

442 The Creation seems to be all about springy limits and wobbly, bendy metrics. The real structure of reality, if there's any poetry in the world, is probably something like a Klein bottle or mobius strip, bending back in on itself and not really having any kind of topological outer bound, or least upper limit, or whatever you want to call it, and yet it can still "expand" in that Hilbert's Hotel sense. Perhaps it just looks like a fuzzy edge to us (CBR) due to some artifact in how things behave at that scale. We know there is conservation of energy, but no one has ever worried about a conservation of space law. Maybe there is one. Maybe it's tied in with matter and energy conservation in some goofy way no one has ever thought of. Whatever it is, the answer is probably some form of "it's complicated", because Creation is weird and wooly and wonderful.

455 It isn't so much that there's nothing allowed to go faster than light, it's that there's no such physical thing in reality as going faster than the speed of light.

If there is nothing faster than light, then there is no aliens, since they would have to have FTL travel to travel hundreds or more light years.

457 The Creation seems to be all about springy limits and wobbly, bendy metrics.

And yet as I hear it, the "edges" of our universe are expanding away from us faster than the speed of light ... so the universe outer limits are some 28B light years away (while universe is only 13B years old) ... or some such thang.

Maybe they divided by zero somewhere, idk.

473 Regarding the Florida Panthers' coach Paul Maurice limiting the postgame handshakes to the players: I think Maurice is wrong here. He says that coaches just hang around on the bench and the spotlight should be on the players. But it is a tradition and rejecting it could be seen as an attempt to signal what a wonderful player-friendly humble guy Maurice is.

Michel de Montaigne rejected a non-traditional, ultra-humble funeral because “To forbid weeping, lamenting, ceremonies, and funerals… is to be proud even in humility.”

in QM, forces are driven by 'exchange particles'. If they have rest mass of 0 then these travel at the speed of light and have infinite range. If the exchange particle has mass, then the force has a limited range.

If you define the universe as 'all that exists' then this question makes no sense. If you define it as something else then you have the problem that by definition you can get no information from this are since the photons from that area can not reach us so we have left science behind.

The same is true with this new furor over 'inside a black hole' idea. The coincidence of the radius of a black hole the size of the universe having the density of the universe has been known a long time.

Most of the astronomers have been goofballing around postulating "dark matter" "dark energy" without having any theory of what they are and why something that is 90 percent of all matter isn't able to be found anywhere we can see in detail.

Now we see all kinds of stuff that they are having trouble shoveling under the rug or twisting theories to explain.

Note that Universe in this context is short for "Observable Universe" which is much less scary sounding. If the real universe was 10x larger than the OU, then nothing too extreme needs to be evaluated. I've already seen someone rejigger the numbers to make a better fit, not that that makes me feel better.
