Trump says he'll ask Congress to codify his DOGE cuts to make them legislatively-endorsed cuts. Which a district court cannot undo with an injunction.

President Trump is reportedly preparing to send Congress a $9.4 billion rescissions package on Tuesday, formally requesting lawmakers to back spending cuts identified by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Key Details:

The proposal would eliminate $1.1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and cut $8.3 billion in foreign assistance--primarily through USAID and the African Development Foundation.

DOGE officials are highlighting grants such as $882,000 for "social media mentorship" in Serbia and Belarus, and $1 million for a voter ID program in Haiti to justify broader reductions.

On May 1st, Trump signed an executive order ending federal support for NPR and PBS, calling it the end of "taxpayer subsidization of biased media." NPR responded by filing a lawsuit, while PBS vowed to fight back.

Speaker Johnson says Congress will do that. (So why do I not believe him?)

Eric Daugherty
@EricLDaugh

BREAKING: SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON promises DOGE cuts, clarifies when and how they will come.

"When the White House sends its rescissions package to the House, we will act quickly by passing legislation to codify the cuts."

"The House will use the appropriations process to swiftly implement President Trump's 2026 budget."

"DOGE found savings in discretionary spending (such as funding agencies), while our One Big Beautiful Bill secured over $1.6 trillion in savings in mandatory spending (such as Medicaid). Both are HISTORIC and take HUGE steps toward addressing our debt and deficit."

"The House is eager and ready to act on DOGE's findings so we can deliver even more cuts to big government that President Trump wants and the American people demand."

Steven Miller and Kristin Noem demand that ICE triple the rate of deportations.

In a high-stakes meeting in Washington, Trump officials Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem ordered ICE agents to ramp up daily arrests to 3,000 -- tripling early Trump-era levels -- as the administration accelerates plans for mass deportations across the U.S.

CBS "News" hacktivist and wretched spinster Lesley Stahl is very very sad.

I am not hopeful. I look at all our institutions, all of which have lost the respect of the American people. I worry about the future of democracy, obviously. And, I don't see a path out. So, I'm kind of down.

She made these remarks during a taxpayer-funded PBS propaganda piece wondering if the President has too much power. Weird how they only ask this question when it's a Republican in the White House. When it's Obama in the White House, they cheer him threatening banks by saying "I'm the only one standing between you and the pitchforks."

And of course PBS had no concerns about the White House being controlled by an unelected cabal of DNC hangers-on who called themselves "the Politburo."

A watchdog group says they can find no evidence that POTATUS was even apprised of the executive orders he was "signing" by autopen.

"Power The Future remains concerned that key policies of major economic and national security significance directed by the White House during the Biden administration may have been undertaken without presidential awareness and approval, but perhaps instead by a small coterie of staff," the letter reads, according to Fox News Digital.

The group analyzed multiple executive orders involving climate policy dating back to 2021 and, according to Executive Director Daniel Turner, found "no evidence that Biden ordered it, directed it, or was even aware it was happening in his name."

"This autopen scandal is evidence that these green EOs are invalid, and the instigators should be thoroughly investigated by the DOJ for violating the trust of the American people and perpetuating a great fraud on the nation," asserted Turner.

14 NPR responded by filing a lawsuit, while PBS vowed to fight back.

It's crazy that these government agencies can sue the government.

Congress should create a separate administrative court that only hears cases of inter-governmental squabbling & whining. The only appeals process is to one three-judge panel and no SCOTUS review.

It will still be taken over by the left but at least things will be a little more efficient.

44 King Charles III in Canada: "I would like to acknowledge that we are gathered on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. This land acknowledgement is a recognition of shared history as a nation."

In all fairness to Charles, this throne speech was entirely ceremonial on his part, as it is back home in the UK.

He, nor his staff, actually write the speeches.
They are written by the Prime Minister's office and their party to basically highlight their legislative and governing goals in the new parliament, and the monarch only comes in to to read it for the ceremony.

This was an unusual speech in that the only other times this has happened was when Elizabeth II delivered two throne speeches in Ottawa while she was there in 1957 and 1977.

Usually the monarch's representative, the Governor-General, makes the throne speech in their place.

But Mark Carney wanted Charles there to show Trump that their king had no intentions to give up one of his dominions to the Yanks.

More than a quibble, not just a pet-peeve - the term "mass deportations".

We don't do "mass deportations". We do individual deportations. Just as there is no such thing as "mass incarceration" - a very similar misleading distortion used by racist demagogues to incite their dumb racist audiences who pretend to believe that the complexion of inmate populations is a result of anything other than aggregated individual crimes and convictions.

Ah, but you note - what about the Alien Enemy Act? Not really different. Individuals determined to be part of a designated enemy class can be deported on that basis (well, under the law and our history, not under the laughable lawless anarchy the legal cult and its collapsed institutions have inflicted on the country). Membership in that "enemy" category is the one aspect subject to review and confirmation.

Another hopeless cause, another wild distortion fixed in public usage, with the usual benefit to the bad guys.

The first lesson: Learn the media is not about democracy. They are the propaganda arm of the rich and entitled. Stop depending on them to be honest and impartial. They have not been working for our country since they crapped on Jimmy Carter because he was not a Washington insider.

When oligarchs own the media, what do you expect? The MSM is Reich wing. They will never give Democrats fair reporting. Since Ronnie Raygun took away the Fairness Doctrine, the media took a hard right turn.

Biden also OBVIOUSLY isn't as frail as the Tapper book and press tour is making out. "They wanted to put him in a wheelchair!" Oh yeah? Then where the fuck is the wheel chair now?

I think the estimates are something along the lines of $200 billion dollars in savings. Also, looks like tariffs are going to add billions to the treasury.

'Black farmers worry new approach on 'race neutral' lending leaves them in the shadows,' February 26, 2023

In part, "Now, USDA is in the process of rolling out a second, newer program passed by Congress as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act. But the $3.1 billion now appropriated as payments toward loans don't just go to racial and ethnic minorities. They also go to some white farmers under a new category: "economically distressed." (Reading all suggested.)

Gotta love the American Rescue Program! Bailing out & adding to union pensions; backstopping the multi employer program under Pensions and Benefits, (U.S. Department of Labor); the USDA using race AND ethnicity to forgive 'famer' loans, and so on.

The M4 with the 75mm was excellent for infantry support, they kept them in service as long as they could for that reason. 200 The Democrats agenda has failed largely because it is anti-human and antithetical to existential prolongation of our species. Almost every single objective has some critical failure due to its inability to realize, or its deliberate subversion, of some well established social norm or fact of nature. It’s ultimately rooted in an attack on God himself, and is meant to prove their alleged superiority over Him. It’s futile in its ends and reckless in its application- never stopping to realize or admit failure. In the process lives are lost, futures are trampled and souls are stained with their insidious pursuits. It’s an attack on life itself and the fundamental knowledge obtained over centuries of existence, which they ignore, corrupt or lie about in their unnatural pursuits. Democrats should never be in power again, along with those too cowardly or dishonest to expose their evil, and rip it out root and branch. There are reasons that societies in the past have not survived things like child sacrifice, polytheism or unnatural practices. Because they are doomed for spectacular failure- just like the current political party who disguises their iniquity with a distracting moniker.

As objectionable as her political views are as was her rant at Trump at a prayer gathering, there in evidence that she is a lesbian . I expect I know more Episcopal women ministers than you probably do, and yes, there are heterosexual women Episcopal priests.

Yeah, but the larger surface area on the grill distributes the force of an impact over more of the pedestrian's body, which makes it safer!

US tanks travelled in units of 5. If they knew there were tanks already in the area they sent 3 platoons - 15 tanks.

It has been demostrated by wiki 86 being ltered that Comey has a mob of beach friends willing to take his cues.
He should have been bagged and held incommunicado to prevent him from sending out any more terroristic threat cues.

By the way, are the tariffs supposed to replace the IRS, re-shore manufacturing, or be a means to lower overall tariffs on both sides?

240 Stealth Tanks

Like, a cross between a star wars battle chicken and a ninja that can swing on ropes and silently sneak through laser barricades.

Silent. Deadly. Two stories tall. All chrome for concealment; it reflects the dark.

We'll talk about where to put the cannon later.
