So, driving into work this evening, I saw a #PROTEST on a bridge crossing I395. Rush hour traffic is slow, so I noticed this. It was three people behind a sign that exclaimed, 'NO KING', and it was flanked by the flags of Canada and the Ukraine. I was driving so I didn't stare to long but I've been pondering it ever since. Were they decrying #ORANGEHITLER? This was inside the Beltway in NoVA, so good bet. Yet, it could be criticism of Ukraine's and Canadas Prime Ministers. Unlikely since, as mentioned, this is NoVA. They LOVE Canada and the Ukraine.

Posted by: vmom deport deport deport at May 09, 2025 08:11 PM (rT96s) =============== vmom, don't even get me started. I don't know if you read my long article on my psychotic best friend, but it's clear we need to do something with/for the mentally ill other than let them fend for themselves. People with slow-killing physical diseases can make a decision not to prolong their lives and skip treatment, but the mentally ill don't know they're sick. And their sickness can endanger them or leave them destitute. But intervention is rife with abuse. If you really want to learn about it, read a book called The Best Minds by Jonathan Rosen. He tells the story of his childhood friend who had a schizophrenic break as a young man, along with an exhaustive review of the history of our mental health institutions. They've been successful and merciful in some iterations.
