You think you hate the media enough, but you don't ![]() ![]() The Great Revival The Tin Gods Have Failed Us Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “[M]an everywhere appears as a worshiping creature.” This applies not only to the faithful, but to the unbeliever as well. A person who rejects the divine merely redirects his worship to something else: money, politics, ideology, romantic love, knowledge. The list goes on. In a peaceful, prosperous nation, it’s easy to live that way. But what happens when the West’s centuries-long experiment with secularism proves each of these replacement faiths to be tin gods? Look to Europe, where it all began. This Easter, the Catholic Church in France baptized 10,384 adults, along with about 7,400 new members aged 11 to 17. This is the highest number of entrants in more than 20 years, and a 45% increase in adult catechumens compared to last year. Father Benoist de Sinety, a parish priest in Lille, noted that this year’s Ash Wednesday masses “shattered attendance records,” with many congregants being “young people attending for the first time.”Guess which denominations aren't seeing a rise in attendance? “Progressive” ones. Hee hee. Axis Of Evil Russia to fund construction of new nuclear plant in Iran Russia will fund the construction of a new nuclear plant in Iran, Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said at the closing ceremony of the 18th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission on Friday. The two countries will undertake "the construction of new nuclear energy facilities and the completion of phases two and three of the Bushehr power plant using Moscow's credit line," Paknejad said. Russia has helped Iran build its first nuclear reactor at Bushehr, in the south of the country. Paknejad's comments came as US and Iran officials met in Oman on Saturday for a third round of nuclear talks. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff held the talks in Muscat through Omani mediators, a week after a second round of talks took place in Rome that both sides described as constructive. Expert indirect talks took place in Muscat to design a framework for a potential nuclear day prior to the lead negotiators' meeting. That's nice. It will be good to see a nice, peaceful country like Iran prosper. How To End A Police Chase I have been told some people find the video disturbing, so I am putting it behind this link. Here's the story behind the video: Police chase leads to suicide USA! USA! 50 Totally Wild Things Basically Every Single Person In America Believes Are Completely Normal But Are Actually Very, Very, Very Strange It's so strange to see guns just casually displayed on shelves at Walmart, like they're no different from everyday groceries. It's wild how you can spend five hours on the road in America and barely notice a change in your surroundings. Meanwhile, a five-hour drive in Europe lands you somewhere where the language is completely different and they have their own unique take on cheese. Chanting 'USA!' for no apparent reason. This Is Wild
Wildlife Management High Island quits a highly endangered Amur tiger, replaced by a younger male Zoo Korkeasaari has quit the nearly 13-year-old Amur tiger Tamuri. Tamur lived in Korkeasaari for 11 years, the zoo says in a Facebook post. The decision to kill a highly endangered animal is justified by reproduction. In the summer, a junior amur tiger male from Germany is coming to Korkeasaari, chosen as the companion of Tamuri’s descendant, Odeya female. They wanted a peaceful start to a young male in Korkeasaari. In nature, a young and old male would struggle for his territory. According to Korkeasaari, organising such a competition would not be good for animals. You'll have to hit the “English” option at the top of the page. Fallout From Covid Scientists Find Measles Likely to Become Endemic in the US Over Next 20 Years With vaccination rates among US kindergarteners steadily declining in recent years and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. vowing to reexamine the childhood vaccination schedule, measles and other previously eliminated infectious diseases could become more common. A new analysis published today by epidemiologists at Stanford University attempts to quantify those impacts. Using a computer model, the authors found that with current state-level vaccination rates, measles could reestablish itself and become consistently present in the United States in the next two decades. Their model predicted this outcome in 83 percent of simulations. If current vaccination rates stay the same, the model estimated that the US could see more than 850,000 cases, 170,000 hospitalizations, and 2,500 deaths over the next 25 years. The results appear in the Journal of the American Medical Association.Calling that mRNA crap a “vaccine” is going to have years of consequences. No. Islam is not a religion it is a cult. It should and its adherents should be banned from America and banned from any intercourse (don't giggle) or commerce with us. Those here should be immediately deported, those who have, seemingly, obeyed our laws should be made whole as they depart. Almost every religion on this Earth offered something for its people. If you belong to any of these religions, you presumably think all the others are wrong overall. But at least you know that these other religions did the best they could with what they had.
Islam built off of Judaism and Near Eastern Christianity, and proceeded to miss the entire points of both. Replacing all their good points with bloodshed and raw tribalism; the exact parts of the "Old Testament" which both the New Testament and the Mishnah were trying to get past. How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. _Winston Churchill Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at May 01, 2025 10:27 PM (0duCh) 59

Catholic Church? Full, but only of older first Gen 'immigrants'... younger folks stay home and watch football...
Posted by: Romeo13 My parish has a lot of immigrants, and they tend to be young adults and middle aged, not seniors. Among the rest of us, a lot are seniors, but there are also quite a few young families. I recently went to a baptism in a parish in a farther out suburb, well to do area. Again, most of the attendees were not old, and the church was pretty full. Posted by: nerdygirl at May 01, 2025 10:52 PM (0Htd1) 105
It’s also worth remembering when the Constitution was written, “religion” had a different meaning. It basically meant Christianity, deism, vague-ish enlightenment atheism, and Judaism, kinda.
They wouldn’t have considered Buddhism or African tribal practices as anything other than paganism. Which was a major faux pas. Enlightened people did not worship nymphs and nature. Islam is sort of a heretical offshoot of Christianity, but it likely would not have been considered much more than a curiosity. Mowed the lawn today for the first time this year. Between the riding mower breaking down at an inopportune time and the weather not cooperating, the grass had a chance to get extra long in spots. It took a while, as it's a big lawn.
When I moved in almost 30 years ago, it was mid-May, and the previous owners had been busy moving and hadn't bothered to mow yet. My first Saturday in my new home, I spent all day with a walk-behind mower in foot-tall grass. Monday, I went to Sears and bought my first riding mower. Driving from College Station, Texas to Tucson, Arizona, a trek I made both ways many times when I was a younger man, there absolute nothing on I-10 from Junction to El Paso, except speed traps. I remember making the trip back in the days of 55 mph: I saw a Mustang coming up from behind me, doing better time than me. I was doing 65 mph, the road was built for it. The Mustang caught up to me, and instead of passing me, pulled me over! It was a stealth cop car. I was polite to the county fund raiser and accepted my ticket, which I duly paid. I repaired on to El Paso at 55 mph, and didn’t speed up until I had left Texas. At one time Arizona used to let you go at any speed you could handle on a deserted desert highway - not Texas! I can’t do 55! Unless I have to.

That's the reason states like Texas are still this country's bulwark. You still have a lot of rural places. Your cities are just as big garbage dumps of leftists as we have in more crowded states but you have a lot more rural areas that make up the difference. Still, your state legislate is a clown show dominated by leftists who call themselves Republicans. I see that the super conservative state of Texas just voted to make political satire a crime. Even my little leftist state hasn't gone full UK. The fight has never been east coast vs west coast. It's patriots vs leftists. They own the cities. That's entirely the point. If you can't even defeat that shit in Texas then how do expect us to defeat it in states that aren't majority Republican? I'm not sure how you are missing my point. This is the bill that is moving toward law in Texas. It is exactly what I said it was. https://tinyurl.com/5rrewkf5 This is censorship. You can pretend it's not but it is. It is antithetical to what it means to be an American. Texas is also the state that keeps electing Cornyn and Reps like Crockett. You can't keep insisting that Texas is some ruby red state when it is clearly not. I choose to live in my little town that is pretty immune to what happens at the state level but I know exactly how corrupt my state has become and I will never stop fighting against it. I'm saying that you are living in a fools paradise if you think they aren't trying to take over your state as well and you can stop it by ignoring it. Because you can't. Fight it now or Texas will be California. They didn't think it could happen either. Posted by: JackStraw at May 02, 2025 12:31 AM (viF8m) 274

Coming in late after hiking 3.6 miles again in the Portola Hills above Irvine. Very nice evening hike with cool temps (60's) and light breeze. Tons of mustard in the hills right now, the hillsides are all yellow and green. In another month or two they'll dry out to brown until winter rains. I did a 1.8 mile and 450' elevation gain in a respectable (for me) twenty five to thirty minutes. Posted by: Anonymous Rogue in Kalifornistan (ARiK) at May 02, 2025 12:52 AM (QGaXH) 290

If a fabrication is published in such a manner that the intent of the publisher is to make consumers of the "news" believe it to be fact, then that should be criminal. You are perpetrating a fraud in an effort to manipulate people. Publish it as satire, and clearly identify as such, like the Babylon Bee, no problem.
