Former Head of Biden's DOJ Immigration Division: Trump Fired Me and "Gave No Explanation!" I'm Totes Confused!

Maybe I can explain this to you: The border is wide-open and bloody and American women and children are being raped and you did nothing to stop it.

A former top Justice Department immigration official who was removed from her position by new DOJ leadership this week told ABC News that she did not receive any explanation for her removal.

Lauren Alder Reid was one of four top officials from the agency that operates the U.S. immigration courts who was removed from her post. She had been with the agency for more than 14 years.

"They did not give me any reason, other than not citing the 16 years of outstanding performance evaluation for lack of any discipline, administrative leave or reassignment in my entire career," Reid told ABC News.

The firings come as President Donald Trump has signed a flurry of immigration executive orders after vowing on the campaign trail to clamp down on immigration and undo Biden-era policies.

When asked if she's considering legal action, Reid, who was the assistant director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review's office of policy, said that she and the others are considering all options available to them.

"It's pretty hard to sit back and imagine that this could begin to happen, at will, to any employee throughout the government, especially when we're talking about public servants who have dedicated their careers to try to make our country the best," she said.

So the head of immigration at DoJ doesn't know why she was fired. She would like an explanation. Hmmm, let me think about this one real hard... what could the reason be, anything, Bueller, Bueller?

SOUTHERN BORDER!!!!

There's your freakin' explanation!

I saw on X that 538 murderers, rapists, and pedophile aliens have now been deported. Everyone knew where to find these people -- but the Biden Junta let them prey on American citizens because American citizens are the Democrats' ultimate disfavored class.

In more Mysteries of Washington, DC News:

Meanwhile:

FBI Raids Office of Immigration Lawyer, Flynn Resigns

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, FBI agents conducted a raid on the office of Joseph Molina Flynn, a prominent immigration lawyer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Following the raid, Flynn, who also served as a municipal judge in Central Falls, resigned from his judicial position. The specifics of the raid or the reasons behind it have not been disclosed by the involved agencies.

A report says the raid was ordered before Trump took office and has nothing to do with his immigration agenda, but rather for allegations that the lawyer defrauded clients.

They could make the case that, as a cog in the executive branch, they had to follow the orders of the President who directed them to ignore federal law. Prosecutorial discretion.

And then someone points out that state rules about firing people don't apply to federal employees.

And then let's start the civil service fight... so Trump can just fire all of them.

Some of the work has to do with, well, things that run counter to the President's agenda.

Just received word yesterday that all of those projects that don't tie with said agenda are to be shut down immediately. Stop work orders came in, yes, a couple of days after Inauguration. The contracting officers are now required to get sign off from a Presidentally appointed representative and justify the existence of those efforts.

175 50 I'm happy they raided the attorney. I've heard rumors that in I think Boulder CO there are dirty immigration lawyers that can somehow get you a green card. It costs a lot of money but it can be done. You just need to know who to go to.
Posted by: CaliGirl at January 24, 2025 01:14 PM (pGgJD)

They are not "dirty" lawyers. That is what immigration lawyers do. They have to zealously advocate for their clients. Which means doing everything ethically and legally permissible to get their client a visa.

The "dirty" work (fake resumes, fake reference letters) is all done by companies in their home countries.

Not too many lawyers would risk their law licenses for the small amount of money they'd make faking the documents themselves.

The problem with the immigration system is that there is no adversarial party. You have an immigration attorney who is trying to get everyone in, and DC bureaucrats looking the other way on the false paperwork and stupid chat gpt written applications and letting them in with a wink and a nod.

It's a box checking exercise for the bureaucrats.

NEW: President Trump’s DHS has given the green light to ICE to review & potentially terminate parole status for the nearly 1.5 million migrants allowed into the U.S. via Biden’s controversial parole programs (CBP One phone app & CHNV migrant flights), opening the door for their deportations.

Trump has terminated both of those programs.

Biden’s border policies and programs are evaporating in the first week of this new Trump administration.

Here is what the Catechism of the Catholic Church states about a nation’s right to control its borders.

Liberal Bishops who criticize President Trump’s immigration policies are nothing but Charlatans.

Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward the country of adoption. Immigrants are obligated to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws, and to assist in carrying civil burdens. (CCC 2241)

Couple years ago someone examined a big payout to Ukraine and found that over half never was going to Ukraine, but to US contractors. Of that that went offshore, a large chunk went to NGOs infesting the area which means stolen and vectored back to US and EU politicos. With the about 10-15 percent left going to Ukraine you have to figure at least half was stolen. And of stuff that actually bought miliary materials probably half was resold on the black market.

Judge bars Rhodes, other Oath Keepers from entering DC without court permission. A federal judge on Friday barred Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and seven other members of the right-wing extremist group from entering Washington, D.C., without the court’s permission, days after President Trump commuted their sentences as part of sweeping clemency for those charged in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

1. Voter ID is something of a sham as a fix to our electoral system. The institutional cheating doesn't happen because someone walks up to a precinct and says they're someone else. It happens in back rooms that take advantage of unclean voter rolls where Voter ID is simply not an issue.

2. It's great politics to demand it because Voter ID is wildly popular everywhere as a commonsense reform, and Trump is inviting Newsom to publicly decline it in the most egregious terms.

It's not their job to verify the accuracy of the documents, it's the government's job.

And how is a lawyer supposed to know that the three peer reviewed articles their client had published in the Hindustan Medical Journal are gibberish and the Hindustan Medical Journal is a shady company that will print and backdate anything you want and that you can buy degrees in India from many colleges and universities?

No one would put a legal expectation on the lawyer that it's their job to verify all of that information.

As far as the lawyers themselves? Immigration law is considered a lower-tier paper pushing legal job. Most of them probably don't have many other career prospects and they take on a "don't ask, don't tell" policy about the veracity of the documents.

Now, now, when Woo first got known for things like "Hard Boiled" out of Hong Kong, he was like a breath of fresh air. And everyone started imitating him like they did with Tarantino or Fincher.

Buuuuut, he was like the artist that Thurber(?) wrote a little ditty about.

The artist had great success painting pink rabbits, so he always painted pink rabbits and was very successful.

But, soon the fad ended, but all he knew how to do was paint pink rabbits and failed.

That's more or less the Story of John Woo. Not so much a hack as a victim of his own crazy but brief success.

We've got an actual President now.

President Trump went out and let regular people speak, unscripted, right there, and listened to them. And had conversations.

Contrast that with Biden, or hell any president of the modern era.

The main driving creative force of the MI series is Cruise himself, and each individual movie reflects where he was psychologically at the time.

MI: Working with interesting filmmakers.
MI2: Wanting to be an action hero.
MI3: Inner conflict about being a regular person against an absolute insane man.

I can't remember how the rest go off the top of my head. I'd have to think about it.

That's when they were going to shove through Single Payer.

And then someone died (Kennedy, I think), and they had to scramble because they couldn't get Single Payer through cloture with a unified GOP opposition (where McConnell first got most of his goodwill).

Which then turned the ACA into the insurance industry bailout we all know and love.
