Kamala Harris's Staff Has New Excuses for Not Appearing on Joe Rogan

They made the right call. She is an idiot with no internal life. She would have melted down after spitting out her talking points for a half an hour. She would have short-circuited like those androids on Star Trek when Kirk said, "Everything I say is a lie. Am I lying now?"

But the Kamala team can't admit that. They just keep spamming out new excuses.

A new report claims that young, progressive staffers within Kamala Harris's campaign influenced the vice president's decision to decline an appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, an opportunity her opponent, Donald Trump, seized to appeal to millions of Rogan's listeners. The Financial Times reports that a faction of Harris's staff worried about potential backlash from the vice president's progressive base, who may view Rogan's platform as a mismatch with their values.

The episode highlighted the divide within Harris's campaign, raising questions about whether the vice president's messaging is becoming captive to what some critics call "woke" influences. According to Jennifer Palmieri, a senior adviser to Harris's husband Doug Emhoff, concerns arose internally about how the optics of a Rogan appearance might alienate progressive supporters.

...

Critics have pointed out that declining the interview could reflect a broader trend of institutions increasingly dominated by progressive ideology, often foregoing engagement with audiences perceived as non-aligned with "woke" culture. As campaigns continue to navigate a polarized media environment, Harris's decision may serve as a cautionary tale about the costs of yielding to internal divisions at the expense of broader outreach.

Her other dumb bunny advisors say it was instead a scheduling conflict:

Jennifer Palmieri
@jmpalmieri

I messed this up...important background should have included here. As campaign said in real time, VP didn't appear on Rogan because of schedule (hard to get to TX twice in a 107 day campaign).

Regardless of any blowback, the campaign had made decision to pursue the interview and the Vice President was prepared to do it.

Stephanie Cutter
@stefcutter

This is 100% accurate. Decision was made to do Joe Rogan, if we could work the schedule out. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it work the one time we were in TX, and as JP says below, hard to get to TX twice in a 107 day campaign -- means a whole day outside of BG states.

John Ekdahl calls this Hillary Clinton 2.0, referring to Hillary's refusal to visit Wisconsin in 2016.

But I don't think Kamala had anything to win on Rogan.

Rogan revealed that even while they were negotiating, Kamala's team laid down a list of topics he wasn't allowed to talk about -- including her support for legalization of marijuana.

Not only is that a contentious issue that further underlines her identity as a woke warrior, Kamala didn't want to be asked about jailing thousands of people for simple marijuana position, especially given her later admission - -really a brag to connect with younger voters -- that she smokes pot her self.

You'd like to think - if you are really into your sports-ball - that the high paid guy on your sideline is making real time decisions about how to move his or her players to win.

Not how it works. Not at all, in most cases. Most political heads, and most sports-ball managers, are not playing real time chess. They learn how to do things a certain way ... and then either that shit works or it doesn't. And their career rises or falls according to that.

When you get a Nick Saban - its more than generational.

Biden got in because after four years of panic and pandemic, people thought he'd be a return to normal, but they still had to juice to vote to get him in.

The Progressives/DNC/MFM made their bed the instant Biden was "elected" in 2019. There was an encyclopedia of failure that preceded the final insult. Harris was just the cherry on top of a rancid pile.

253 > Compared to 30 seconds of one of these subhumans interviewing Trump, Rogan looked like Barbara Walters interviewing some actress.

Part of the reason is Rogan is in the moment, actually listening and asking interested questions.

The leftist mutants are so busy setting up multi-part questions, getting their speeches in, trying to shoehorn in multiple traps and talking point opportunities, AND listen to their producer, they barely have the cognitive horsepower to listen to anything the interviewee has to say.

Yes, they're dumb and boring and lizard people too.

So, the well paid elitists, young & progressive staffers screwed up royally while young Barron Trump and Bo Loudon, his best friend, put together interesting podcasts that appealed to young men (and more), and also encouraged President-Elect Trump - oh, how I love writing that title - to do the Joe Rogan podcast.

>Today, "Trump credits son Barron for urging him to do Joe Rogan podcasts." YouTube

And scores of other YouTube videos and written articles of the same nature.

No, they had all the playbooks for their conference opponents. Not just the signals, but the playbooks. It took them until 2023 to get the rest of the top tier teams.

We won't know for sure until the report is made public, but apparently in 2022 Vegas noticed the pattern and a U-M staffer came clean with the info. This may be related to Weiss. Anyhow, the decision was made to do nothing and simply "monitor the situation" (like the FBI always does), but the ostensible reason was they had to track the movement of the scouts to the games, gain positive ID, and then track the work product. That's why the story broke in mid-season: they had what they needed.

If you dig deep into the original Big Ten letter, U.S. Integrity was involved. They're the watchdog on gambling in pro and college sports. Imagine three seasons of Black Socks fixing games.

Now it might bind with calcium harder than Oxygen does and screw things up. That's how it etches glass, it just rips apart the normally unreactive surface.

I always hated this talking point. Yes, lots of bottled water plants use tap water. No, they don't bottle it straight out of the tap. Most of them have really advanced filtering systems in place, then they add just the right amount of minerals to make the water taste nice and not dehydrate you. Yes, pure water can dehydrate you.

404 which is local tap water from where the bottler is.
Yes, exactly, in many cases. But they think it's pure spring water, untouched by filthy modern processes.
There's one brand that's just plain Dallas tap water.

405 "Just as Trump "waved a magic wand" and brought manufacturing jobs back to the US, he is going to crush inflation while avoiding a recession. He's actually going to have a deflationary expansion." Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd

I'm less sanguine about all that. Markets like Trump, and "business is good". But is that really enough to overcome our incredible debt, and current inflation?

There are still rough seas ahead ... deflationary expansion? So the opposite of stagflation? Your lips to God's ear ... I hope.

It's rubbish. Tooth enamel is largely composed of hydroxyapatite (a calcium phosphate derivative), which on exposure to aqueous fluoride salts forms fluoroapatite (in which a fluoride ion replaces the hydroxyl ion of hydroxyapatite).

Fluoroapatite is harder and stronger than hydroxyapatite, and less prone to attack by acids (which protonate the hydroxyl group of hydroxyapatite.

How can you have a deflationary expansion? In deflation people tend to hang onto their money - in the expectation that it will buy more tomorrow than it does today - which would seem to militate against expansion of the economy.

Can you explain?

409 > which is local tap water from where the bottler is.

Ram's Bladder Cup: made from "fresh Cornish ram's bladder, emptied, steamed, flavoured with sesame seeds whipped into a fondant and garnished with lark's vomit"

if so then my complaint is that they advertise these under ground artesian springs from the glaciers of Canada instead of showing nice filters and telling me the minerals they put in.

Sure but if fluorine likes whatever it bumps into better than what it currently is bonded to, its gonna rip its way in and bind, and the other bits can fend for themselves.

Ingestion works for kids but at a certain age the body changes and it no longer goes to the teeth, so topical application. I would give my kid bottled water and have him brush several times with it.

419 In what reality is someone intimidated by a twenty something year old on their staff? The staffer is lucky to have the job and it's on him or her to walk on egg shells, not the other way around.
