Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Polls Are Made for Strippers But Early Vote Totals Are Made For QueensThe early vote in Nevada is Stronk for Trump. Of the seven battleground states -- Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and "the other one," as Kamala Harris calls Michigan -- Nevada was taken by everyone I've read or heard as the best state for Kamala. And it's not going well for her. The early votes aren't being opened and counted-- but we do know who voted and which party they registered with. If you assume that all Democrat vote for Harris and all Republicans vote for Trump -- which isn't true, but it's close enough, with defectors cancelling each other out mostly (except to the extent defections favor Trump) -- you have a rough idea who the state is voting for. Nevada is made up of three parts: Clark County, which is Las Vegas, and the rural vote, and everywhere else. Clark County is Democratic and Democrats need a lot of turnout there to offset the very Republican rural vote. Clark County isn't turning out as much for Harris as she needs it to:Updated, 10:15 PM, 10/23/24 Good evening again, blog mates. SOS is reporting today's ballots, and I now feel like I am in the upside-down world. In past cycles, I would be telling you how the Dems were slowly building a firewall in Clark (tens of thousands more ballots than Republicans). They have successfully done this in every presidential election since 2008. But the opposite is happening: Thanks to a rural tsunami, the GOP has moved out to a substantial ballot lead: 18,500 ballots, or almost 5 points The rural firewall, the R advantage in the 15 smaller counties: 21,000 ballots, The Clark firewall is at 5,000, or just 2.5 points in a place where Dems have a nearly 7 percent registration edge. In Washoe, the swing urban county, Rs have a 4 point lead, just above their registration advantage. Nearly 400,000 people have cast ballots, or just under 20 percent of registered voters. If turnout is 1.4 million out of the 2 million registered voters, that means almost 30 percent of the vote is in. There is no good news in these numbers for Dems, who are basing their hopes on a deluge of mail ballots coming in during the final days and perhaps the day or two after the election (They can be counted for four days after Nov. 5.) and a very favorable split among indies in urban Nevada. That's insane and unconstitutional and, of course, an invitation to mass vote fraud, which is the purpose of this policy. He then updated: Mail came into the Clark file overnight, with Dems gaining 4,000 votes overall in mail Wednesday. But not nearly enough to offset GOP in-person advantage. So: Statewide GOP lead: 17,000, or 4.2 percent Ralston also said at this point in time Ds usually have a +40k ballot lead. Gop leads by 17k. Posted by: It's happeningOh, as I mentioned the other day, the GOP's early vote is made up of fewer high-propensity voters than the Democrats'. Which means the GOP is getting lower propensity voters to turn out more than the Democrats are managing. The highest propensity voters don't even really matter in early vote figures because you know that they're going to vote, either early or late or on election day. These aren't the votes you have to work to get. And the GOP is turning out more of the votes they have to work to get than the Democrats are. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Oh, and another sign:
In Florida, early voting swung from D+7 (in mail in voting) to R+8 after the start of early in person voting on...Monday. It's looking like Trump is going to win Florida by DeSantis 2022 levels. There's a greater chance that Trump wins FL by 20 than Kamala wins. And all because DeSantis fired Brenda Sykes and cleaned out 800,000 non-voters (all Democrats) from the voter rolls. Every Republican governor not doing this is in on the steal in 2020. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, finding suspense, madness, and humanity with Michael Powell at October 24, 2024 12:19 PM (GBKbO) 14
Ralston is a huge Liberal too. But he does track votes and offers honest analysis. Still, NV is uniquely rigged by the powers that be. You may see them let off the rigging if it becomes clear Trump will win no matter what and the Dem retains the senate seat.

If the answer to that is yes, then it really doesn't matter what a poll says. The. You have a short memory. The “red wave” election was not only lost through fraud and electoral subversion, but was ultimately permitted by low turnout from Republicans who admitted they thought it was in the bag. What I am also hearing is that Democrats are attempting to save down ticket races, especially in the House, because they feel that will stop Trump and Republicans from completing their agenda. They have even told some voters if they don’t like Harris to vote for Trump, but vote straight Democrat down ticket. There are also some weird things going on in California which we know will permit fraud in the House races where Republicans currently hold the seats (I think about 7). Keep your eye on that. It’s going to be a problem. Posted by: Marcus T at October 24, 2024 12:27 PM (VM1VU) 69

My prediction is 312 and I think PA is in the bag thanks to Scott Pressler's fantastic job at concentrating on that one place.
I also agree that an overwhelming win will help Trump actually change things quicker with a mandate. I'm sure the lead in NV has nothing to do with Clark County being forced to remove 102,000 ineligible voters from the rolls earlier this year ....
TJM posted earlier that, this time in 2020, Dems were up like nearly 8 million nationwide in early voting. And this year, the parties are like within 2 million. I don't think we have any clue just how massive, how extensive, and how long the Dems cheated to "win" in 2020. By 42,000 ballots across 3 states .... AZ, GA, and WI. Oh, as I mentioned the other day, the GOP's early vote is made up of fewer high-propensity voters than the Democrats'. Which means the GOP is getting lower propensity voters to turn out more than the Democrats are managing.
======== I've been following this analysis for a couple of weeks, and I'm not all that engaged by it. Not that it can't be ever, but just that this year...the numbers are very close for both parties. Comparing 16% to 17%. Is that a difference? Yes. Is it statistically significant? Probably not. There apparently was one in VA in 2023 that pushed R's earlier much more than D's, but it seems like that's an exception. Essentially, I think the voting patterns have set, there's no real change from previous elections, and both partisans for both parties are going to be showing up at similar levels in early voting until there's another massive change. Here's why R advantage matters going into election day...
If word gets out the R has a state won, b/c they always outvote Ds on election day and they are ALREADY winning, a D voter may elect to find something better to do on election day (and the reverse also applies). People HATE wasting their time, so if you convince the D party their time is wasted, not only do you win the top, but you win the down ballot races as well. She continues to deliver word salads instead of policies. The CNN town hall was a disaster as even the MSNBC and CNN panels couldn't cover for how unbelievably stupid she was. The POC troops who did the deed back in 2020 have lost out their benefits to illegals so even they want them gone. Even BLM portesters have to go to the grocery store. I just don;t think they have the will to overcome the huge change in how people feel about Trump. He is cool. He is relatable. Harris is dull, boring and has no empathy at all.

Posted by: Stephen Price Blair A bit of both. Musk has taken the lead on GOTV in at least some states with his superpac. Traditionally, the GOP has sucked at GOTV because it wanted to and the old way was to only turn out base voters that would be sure to vote for Team Red. They neither wanted nor tried to turn out people that might not favor the corporatist agenda but opposed the Dems on social grounds like trannies and gay marriage. Plus campaign staffs got a lot less moolah as far as GOTV commissions versus ad placement and robocalls. A Christian Science Monitor article recently laid out the grousing of the GOP campaign consultants (most likely sidelined) by Trump in not doing the ad blitzes and concentrating on GOTV instead. The most under-covered story of the many under-covered stories of ridiculous election shenanigans in 2020, which is saying something. Trump of course has distinctive and powerful traction with a key part of the Clark Dem electorate - Hispanics. Same reason he is the only GOP prez candidate in history to win two border counties in TX. Matt Braynard found around 15K ineligible votes counted in NV in a few days just sitting at his computer using public records. A Vegas TV reporter got 5 of 7 fraudulent ballots counted (and did a TV news story on it at the time). A national election should have national rules... every state must produce the ballot tallies by midnight. No more of this mail-in shit a week after the election.
Conversely, if states are going to allow ballots to be received and counted days or weeks after the election then nobody reports totals until those mail-in, fake ballots are in. Either way it's going to be obvious when someone starts to cheat. Posted by: Martini Farmer at October 24, 2024 12:49 PM (Q4IgG) 222

NPR reported today on the Southern Florida-based child detention center, Homestead, a for-profit facility run by Comprehensive Health Services (CHS). Public Accountability Initiative Director Kevin Connor spoke to NPR about the SEC disclosures of CHS’s parent company, Caliburn, which is in the process of going public:
In March 2018, the Alexandria, Virginia-based private equity firm DC Capital Partners purchased CHS and bundled the company with three other acquisitions to create a new conglomerate, Caliburn International. DC Capital Partners has an advisory board stacked with former top military and intelligence officials with revolving door ties to the NSA, CIA, and Department of Defense. Trump’s former Chief of Staff, John Kelly, was a paid advisor before he joined the administration. His former U.S. Envoy to Qatar, Anthony Zinni, currently sits on the advisory board and sits on the board of Caliburn. Another notable advisor, former CIA Director Michael Hayden, actually said that family separation policies shared “commonality” with Nazi Germany. I seriously doubt a 'winner' will be announced on election night, or possibly for days after. 3 states have said they may not have results for a week or more.
So, this is where I think the remaining states should just sit on their results and wait until those lollygaggers get their shit together. Otherwise the resulting shit show is going to be filled with public violence on an unmitigated scale, lengthy legal challenges and all sorts of "unpleasantness" for a long time after. Whether Democrats win or not has always depended on their ground game, that's why if it rains or thee's bad weather, it tends to hurt dems. But early voting changed all that and gave Dems several weeks to harvest ballots.
But if the early ballots dont come in, it points to low turnout for dems on election day. My gut tells me minorities aren't nearly as invested in "Trump is Hitler" as white college educated women and have genuinely suffered the most under Biden/Kamala. Tragically the judiciary has failed catastrophically to perform their duties re : ballot fraud. Early, middle, late voting analysis is the the stuff of bygone political times. Concentrate on yard signs, not those on the public right of way. Often individuals have to pay for those and they risk damage to their house, etc. by deranged leftist loons (and to be fair, a few Dem homeowners face the occasional rightie loon)
___ I admire people that put up Trump yard signs, and the WSJ did an analysis in AZ and said Trump is winning the sign game. But it's the same with bumper stickers. I feel it does nothing to the votes a candidate gets (at least on a Presidential level) and just puts my property in the tiger's eye. Not worth getting my car keyed. I've never understood the fascination with lesbians.
Posted by: Dr Pork Chops & Bacons Me neither. It was once explained to me that you don't have to look at some guy's schlong, but what's the problem with just having the lady by herself doing sexy things? Homosexuality is homosexuality, and never a turn on. Posted by: Bulgaroctonus at October 24, 2024 01:22 PM (v6JzV) 389
I am convinced that the GOPe has been engaged in rigging and stealing primary elections for awhile.
Rigging primaries is how the Uni-Party ensures that nothing untoward happens. It backfired a little when Hillary's people thought Trump would be the best opponent, but they've been mostly very successful at keeping the freedom contagion contained. Allegedly some big bomb shell is to drop today that will sideline Harris/Walz for good. We'll see.

It takes an upset on the primary outside the uniparty to clean it up - that was Youngkin in VA (and his AG)...
Posted by: Nova Local ======= I hope they did. Ohio ,due to the unappreciated Ken Blackwell, fixed their elections for a decade due to concentrating on cleaning up voting rolls. DeSantis followed that and upped it by getting rid of notorious Brenda Snipes for her continuing criminal enterprise going back decades in Florida as election supervisor. The path is clear but I think the donors and the GOPe establishment want to be able to 'cross the aisles' to consort with the Dems in order to do shit like elect Phelan as House Speaker to support grifting and state funded special deals for donors. That is ultimately why I am not a big fan of business class types running for office. By and large, they go along to get along in office and they often value acquiring more wealth in office instead of benefiting their voters. Posted by: whig at October 24, 2024 01:24 PM (ctrM5) 393
Obviously, the biggest factor in vote fraud, today, is mail-in ballots. In-person voting, with ID, whether in early voting or day-of voting, would solve most of these fraud issues, or at least make it much more difficult.

I've never understood the fascination with lesbians. I guess it's the latent homosexuality in some men.
Posted by: Dr Pork Chops & Bacons Same reason that some straight women go after gay guys thinking that their magic hoohaa will convert them. Coupling though had a hysterically funny NFSW episode revolving around one of the male protagonist's description of why he liked watching lesbian porn (Lesbian Spank Inferno to be exact). Amazon Prime has Coupling and perhaps it is available at FreeVee. Posted by: whig at October 24, 2024 01:27 PM (ctrM5) 395

If mail and ballots are going to be counted up to four entire days after " " election day then election day is going to be November fucking 9th and all the in-person voters will get to vote after the mail-in frauds have been counted. This is complete fucking unconstitutional bullshit. This is what they do every time. And COVID is fucking over so mail-in ballots should not be a large percentage anymore.

378 Not a fan of advertising how much the GOP is ahead in early voting. Tips our hand. JMO.
Posted by: thathalfrican ========== The people in the presidential campaign and even in most state party organizations have that info already plus more. Those are the campaign people you rarely see on camera because they are analytical types, not messaging types. Posted by: whig at October 24, 2024 01:30 PM (ctrM5) 398
I remember back when there was an actual deadline for receiving absentee ballots, Dems would purposely mail out the ballots late to service members. Too bad the service members, who skewed conservative, couldn't get their ballots back in time!

As a Washoe County voter, it was pretty interesting voting yesterday. It was a steady stream -and where I vote, it’s more R’s than D’s.
The Dems are panicking for sure. But Clark always cheats, so I have to wonder if they will be doing the same stuff they did in 2020. No ID needed to vote, but the worker checked my signature and I had to sign an affidavit that I would not vote twice. A lot of the Californicators who have moved here are probably not voting for Dems. They left Cali because of the craziness. I am hopeful we can overcome the steal. I think the independents probably favor the R’s. Lots of bed wetting by Dems. I think they know she is toast but are holding on to fantasies like “ independents will vote 2-1 for Kamala”. I just don’t see that as realistic. Posted by: Czech Chick at October 24, 2024 01:42 PM (fpVC1) 401
But there are 4 million people from Nevada living in Iceland who are going to vote for the Kneepad Queen.
