I wondered if Trump was safe from another attempt since if they succeed now, his ticket is sure to win and that means JD Vance is President. But, this is their last chance to get him since in two weeks he gets full USSS coverage so it will be harder and they may not have thought it through.
Or, maybe they think a successful attempt would justify martial law and nix the election totally.
But I settled on the idea that they plan an outrageous cheat and they expect Trump and his supporters to resist. They plan martial law (like Brazil, doncha know) and then just a mass destruction of evidence and persecution of anyone who stands in their way.

That is a big deal too. Not just because of the VA, but because it was a sue-and-settle strategy to insure that it is impossible to fire gov. employees. This was not done to save those jobs but to make sure that any efficiency attempts by Trump would be thwarted by the courts in ANY department, of ANY gov. employee. They have no-work-jobs for life.

I thinkOregon would go with it. The biggest problem would be the amount of imports that go through California. Just to stay afloat, California would almost be forced to add some sort of transmission fee on all goods traveling through it for sale to the US.

So, that leaves Insurrection Act invocation which Section 253 is the most vague. Courts have allowed the prezzie power to invoke it but any actions taken are subject to after the fact oversight by courts, prosecutors, etc. and Congress.

You forgot mags and cleaning kits. 5-10 mags plus some means of cleaning it.
Easier for lube, just buy a quart of Mobil One synthetic motor oil and good to go for most firearms.
Unless you are firing corrosive ammo (look up homebrew formula of Ed's Red for that). You need a nitro/gun powder solvent and perhaps a copper or lead solvent. If you reload, there are basically reloading rifle powders treated with an anti coppering agent (usually a tin compound) that greatly reduces it. Seldom needed for std 9mm, 45 ACP, or even 40 S&W. Those firing very high velocity fmj copper rounds might need it.
Lead fouling is only an issue mainly if you shoot lead bullets at pressures higher than their deformation limit. Tailor your handload pressures to the bullet alloy used and that problem usually disappears.
But, a Lewis Lead Removal kit does wonders if you have an old pitted handgun bore that leads or a Ruger double action revolver. These were cut with shallow throat angles to the bore and thus fine for jacketed, less good for lead.

Honest to goodness, how much is too much? My vehicle can barely transport what I have. If I have to hold off a platoon or two of irregulars, I'm good. But since no heavy weapons capability, I'm screwed against a company sized action.

Sometimes and more usual, these same bolt parts are also lost like springs and pins when disassembling the bolt in the field for cleaning.
The hardest part of the AR bolt to fix is the ejector (not extractor) as the ejector is under high spring pressure and when relieved will launch the pin and often the spring into orbit. A bolt disassembly tool helps there to contain the ejector for removal.

Kept his mouf shut. My guess is that Bush and Co are still clinging to a state GOP faction in Texas that aids and abets them. Bush endorsing Kamala publicly is likely to destroy that faction or put a wedge in it where the Phelans etc. have to denounce GWB. More likely his spawn or even Laura might do it but it would probably have the reverse effect nowadays. No one misses the Bushes much other than their courtier class.

At a certain point, one needs to consider other necessary stuff like a med trauma kit and how to use it, ensuring water, food, and heat during the winter, etc.
Hopefully, you have already made friends with your neighbors and know who might have your back to watch the neighborhood to maintain order and who does not.

When it comes to anything with small parts under a lot of spring pressure, hold the part inside a 1 gallon freezer bag while you work on it. You can see through the plastic and when the part inevitably launches, it just bounces around in the bag.
