Polls: Trump Winning Latinos 49-38%, Has Historic 29% Share of Black Vote

One big caveat: When a poll of, let's say, 1000 people claims a margin-of-error rate of 3%, that's for the whole 1000 people.

When you start digging into sub-groups, the margin of error get much bigger because the fewer people you poll, the worse the margin of error. If you ask 1000 people about voting intentions, you might wind up with 130 black voters. The margin of error for that is big.

Indeed, the margin of error shown below for Latinos is 9%. And that mean that Kamala's share of Latino voters could be as high as 47%, and Trump's as low as 40%.

But that's still nearly even! And the poll on black voters is from Fox, who uses a notoriously Democrat-skewing pollster!

The poll on Latinexexes comes via Suffolk.

Someone on Twitter made the point that it's even worse for Kamala because very liberal, Democrat-voting Hispanics tend to be in blue states like California, while Hispanics in swing-states are more pro-Trump.

And the 29% figure for black voters? Huge, obviously. That will help offset all the AWFLs in the suburbs voting with their vaginas.

A Democrat panelist on Crooked CNN is wondering, Hey, maybe we should lay off calling Hispanics "Latinx" as if they're majority-transgender. They don't seem to like that.

And apparently Kamala Harris agrees. She "copy-pasted her plan for black men and changed "black" to "Latino."" But she is suddenly saying "Latino" instead of "Latinx."

But forget all that. Now that people are voting, Halperin say that the polls are less important than early voters' partisan identification, and based on what we know of the early vote so far, Trump will win:

I saw someone post that in Nevada, 37% of Republicans casting early votes voted in all four of the past four elections, whereas 44% of Democrats casting early votes voted in all four past election. This are very likely voters. This means that 63% of Republicans voting early are less-likely voter, compared to 56% of Democrats.

It doesn't matter much if high likelihood voters vote early or on election day. They'll almost all vote. The trick is get less-likely voters to vote early, and at least in Nevada, the GOP seems to leading.

The gender gap in the black vote in GA is the biggest it's ever been. It's about 23%. It's pretty much the sole source of the gender gap in the entire state.

Meaning that, more than likely, black women are turning out to vote for Kamala but black men are just...not voting.

Now, that is not going to have effects on machine states and cities like Philly who will just make up the gap with fake ballots, but in places where voters actually matter, which may include GA this year, we'll see, it will have a material affect.

That's always been a key data point (or, polling result, polls aren't data).

There are heavy indications that 90% of Republicans, 40% of Indies, and 33% of Democrats think 2020 was stolen.

That's not a healthy place to be in as a nation, and it's a dangerous place to be in as the party that stole the 2020 election going into 2024.

I wonder about the mechanics of this. As Robert Barnes has stated, you can’t stuff the ballot boxes without ballots, and the ballots aren’t there as in 2020 when everyone was mailed a ballot even though unrequested. That has largely stopped if he’s correct. He makes a good case that fraud will be tougher this time and must be much larger as Dave in Fla has said, but I keep wondering what other type of fraud the swamp has in store.

I have seen absolutely no effort to counter the false information from the Harris campaign that Trump will invoke a National Sales Tax. Additionally, I have seen no counter to the more recent false campaigning from the Harris camp that Trump is planning to cut Social Security.

The latter is even more egregious since Trump HAS announced that he plans to remove all taxes from SS benefits.

Both these issues resonate to some extent based on what I've been hearing from acquaintances and employees.

We had a bond issue on the ballot here in NoVA, which stipulated that the spouses of service members who died in the line of duty get tax free status. I voted no. If someone gets run over by a truck while on duty, that's not at all the same thing as killed in combat. Those folks should get the tax free status.

I'll maintain a quiet composure until I hear more, but my reaction is "Oh, HELL no". It's a job. Do it or don't, based on the salary on offer.

We had a bond issue on the ballot here in NoVA, which stipulated that the spouses of service members who died in the line of duty get tax free status. I voted no. If someone gets run over by a truck while on duty, that's not at all the same thing as killed in combat. Those folks should get the tax free status.

Yeah, my first though was similar - how do you pick and choose which professions become exempt? It seems a lot bigger than no tax on tips. But adding that to no tax on tips or social security, well, then it does make me wonder if he's thinking about making some drastic changes whether or not it's getting rid of *all* feralgov income tax. He did say the assassination attempts have reinforced his focus on what he wants to accomplish.

Her dad is a conservative businessman, who probably taught her a thing or two and helped her get her start. Because she may preach socialism on her social media and at her concerts, but her business is run on 100% capitalism, baby.

Realignment elections have a changed electorate. We have not seen one since the 1932. Before that is was 1896. (see Walter Dean Burnham).

Arguably Reagan's 1980 election was more a dealignment elections where the the New Deal coalition finally ran out of gas. GOP did not really get parity in legislative races and statehouses until the 90's is part of that argument and lagged the Dems in party id for almost all those years. It depended on low turnout negative races by and large which is where the GOPe consultants are still stuck on.

We really have not seen massive turnout in an election for various reasons until you get to the 1890's before voter registration laws and secret ballots. 2020 on the part of Trump was such. No one disputes that Trump gained about 13 million votes from his 2016 total. Biden, not so much.

She craves adulation from Hollywood and wants an Oscar. That's why she cozies up to them. Not endorsing Hillary! cost her in 2016. But I kind of love that endorsing Kamala now is costing her in a different way: the goodwill with fans that she also craves.

Like most popstars, all of them have a limited shelf life due to their audience getting older and the young rejecting them as not relevant.

I don't think TayTay's political stance will really hurt her with the young below 18 because they don't care that much really about politics. But rampant politicization by Tay Tay very well might piss off a lot of customers in her 18-40 that can afford to buy swag and pay nosebleed prices for tickets.

Its happened to other artists and no reason to assume Tay Tay is any different to them.

444 I just can't get past the dread in my heart regarding the illegal vote. If just half of them are able to get ballots in, it could swing it. Also, I do believe, as others have commented, that if Trump beats the cheat, they (DS) will find a way to declare Marshall law or something similar in magnitude.
