Israel Confirms That Yahya Sinwar, Architecht of the 10/7 Terror Attacks, Is Dead Due to the IDF Blowing Up "Muh Mentions" and Also Blowing Up "Muh Molecules"

Apparently they stumbled across him when fighting Hamas. It doesn't seem like they were targeting him in a raid or that kind of thing.
Israeli forces in Gaza killed Hamas' top leader Yahya Sinwar, a chief architect of last year's attack on Israel that sparked the war, the military said Thursday. Troops appeared to have run across him in a battle, only to discover afterwards that a body in the rubble was the man Israel has hunted for more than a year. Sinwar has topped Israel's most wanted list since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war just over a year ago, and his killing strikes a powerful blow to the militant group. There was no immediate confirmation from Hamas of his death. The military confirmed Sinwar's death after conducting DNA and other tests on a body that it said was among three militants killed Wednesday during operations in Gaza. Foreign Minister Katz called Sinwar's killing a "military and moral achievement for the Israeli army," saying it would "create the possibility to immediately release the hostages."

According to WindowsLatest, the issue is that WD's SSDs are requesting a 200MB HMB [(NVME SSD Host Memory Buffer (HMB) feature)], and Windows isn't handling that gracefully. In Windows 11 23H2, HMBs were limited to just 64MB globally, masking the problem. So, in the city where I work there is this group of elderly people who assemble usually once a week with signs saying stop the genocide/killing in Palastine, etc.
I always shake my head, and have even yelled "Way to support terrorists!" once or twice. But I don't think they can hear very well anyway. They may be Amish but I'm not certain.
I think maybe they're finally starting to get a clue though because lately I've noticed some of the signs now at least say stuff like "Stop the killing in Palastine and Israel".

I prefer Crucial for my M2 SSDs but have used Hynix for a M2 Gen 3 that is quite nice for a build of a Coffee Lake SFF unit that is for document and photo scanning only.

Interesting. I find the mini forms fascinating and space savings but haven't bought one yet. Good to know that Mint works fine with Coffee Lake as I am toying dual booting the imaging computer which is currently Windows 10 with 32 gig in Ram. Bought the refurb Lenovo case and i3 processor for about $100 which is enough for running basic Snapscan and a photo imaging one. Has a DVD burner for dissemination of family photos which I am scanning and distributing to family members that are not hi tech in orientation.
Have used Ubuntu in dual boot configurations with various flavors of Windows for over a decade simply from inertia as it was at the time easier to get printers, scanners, etc. to run on it.

Yeah, printers scanners support is not where it is in Windows, and that includes the bad, which is all the bloat that comes with the Win driver software. If your machine will support it (mostly RAM capacity to run a VM), run Windows in Virtual Machine Guest on Ubuntu/Mint. Virtual Box has been solid in my last four-ish years working with Windows in the VM. I even have a Win 10 VM that runs alongside the Win 11 VM for when I want to use my old Topo and ballistics software.

Vance will probably have all the Trump support, including money from donors. The GOPe donors trying to regain something like relevance in the party post-Trump will back someone. They may even let that someone say pro-immigration enforcement things unlike how they stifled Walker in 2016. They'll be pretty desperate with what looks like their first chance to regain the chalice in over a decade.
No idea how it'll play out, but I'd put money on the Vance candidacy if forced to now.

I mean resign, but either way Vance needs a real portfolio. He's a lame duck once he gets to 1600 again anyway, so this will keep Congress on their toes and not allow them to slow walk or run out the clock on the necessary changes to dismantle the Deep State. Several downsides to this of course. I don't think DJT is in the retiring mood, but it helps unify the party going into 2028. An incumbent Vance will be the best thing to help the GOP against Wes Moore, who I think will be the nominee on the Dem side.

I think he's Obama 2.0. He already has a bio out there (The Other Wes Moore), and he's accumulated a resume that would set him up nicely. He headed the Robin Hood Foundation for a nanosecond, so he'd have the support of Paul Tudor Jones (RINO) to credibly tout himself as bipartisan. Rhodes Scholar as well.
He's shot himself in the foot with his own Stolen Valor story, but there's enough time for him to clean that up before 2028.

My previous experience with Gigabyte boards was bad but the newer ones come with a 5yr guarantee on paper and not bad specs.
I demand bombproof VRM is part of it even though I don't game nor really give any computer a hard time with workloads on a consistent basis.

Trinitrotoluene is still effective, cheap and due to it's low melting point it's versatile. Navy SEAL cooks/akido fighters melt it down out of artillery shells with steam for all kinds of uses.

I think Trump learned in 2020 that the courts and his own party were against him challenging results and has rebuilt his campaign on the Big Turnout model. I think he has done that by breaking the old GOP model of only going after reliable base voters. Even the Dems are now worried apparently about low propensity voters turning out for Trump and swamping their urban cheat machines.
We shall see what happens Nov. 5 because the other side (Dems) always gets a say in what happens.

If he had stepped aside earlier, she would have had the time to build a coalition, or whatever excuse her handlers can come up with.

ASUS/MSI/GB - I went GB for my last board after being an ASUS fanboi and getting disappointed.
VRM is crucial with today's highspeed memory and CPUs. I once had a glitchy new PSU that caused me endless BSODs until I finally (literally last component swapped out) eliminated the BSODs by replacing the PSU.
I forgot, re minis. I bought a Protectli mini as an Opensense router after my last router died. Pretty impressive and stable.
