Currently I'm in Texas at the wonderful TexasMoMe. Sponge wanted to tell us Kelli is recovering nicely from her bout with cancer and both are thankful for the prayers.
AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update. Prayer Requests: 8/23 – Grumpy and Recalcitrant requested continued prayers for J.J. Sefton. J.J. is feeling “not too bad, all things considered”. His post-radiation/chemo MRI is scheduled for the first week of Sept, and this is when he will find out where things are at, concerning his cancer. Please keep praying for complete remission, recovery, and a return to good health.
9/24 Update – J.J. posted that his last MRI was negative, which means that he is essentially cancer-free. He has just started a 6-week course of chemo maintenance with regular MRIs to monitor for any recurrence, presumably for the rest of his life. All things considered, his doctors are very upbeat that this could be longer than the standard prognosis. He sends his thanks again to everyone for their prayers and messages of support.
9/28 Update – J.J. said he just finished the first month of maintenance. It is amazing that it’s just a pill that he takes at bedtime, 5 straight days per month, for 6 months. Now he has 3 weeks until the next round, and an MRI in the coming weeks. 8/31 – Jewells45 sent an update. She started on Cyremza 2 weeks ago, and the only side effects are really bad headaches and fatigue. She is praying this works.
9/7 Update – Jewells and her husband had a tough weekend. Jewells had a lesion on her leg that hurt so bad she couldn’t walk, and her husband had to drive himself to the ER. He was unable to urinate, and in terrible pain. The problem was related to his prostate.
9/21 Update – Jewells’ husband got another catheter put back in on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he was very lethargic and barely responsive, so she called 911. It turned out his sodium was dangerously low. If she’d waited, he probably would have had a seizure or slipped into a coma. He stayed at the hospital overnight.
10/12 Update – Jewells’ husband is waiting on a date for surgery that will hopefully let him pee on his own again. Jewells is not doing very well. She is in a lot of pain most days and exhausted. She is getting a CT scan this week and a visit with the doctor, and then starting on reduced chemo. 9/19 – Erebus asked for prayers for mom, whose years of suffering from Alzheimer’s are almost over. 9/21 – Commissioner Hrothgar offered prayers up for former (and hopefully future) President Trump, to keep him safe from harm and that the forces of evil arrayed against him and our country be made ineffective and come to naught. 9/21 – Tonypete asked for prayers for the owner of a local diner, Michelle, and her family at the death of her son due to addiction-related ailments. 9/21 – Matthew Kant Cipher asked for prayers for the soul of Alex and Alex’ surviving family. Alex was a fine young man who coached MKC’s son’s youth baseball team for a few years. Alex died in a single vehicle crash this week, leaving behind a pregnant wife and two stepchildren. 9/21 – FenelonSpoke requested prayers for her son, K, to get a job related to his major, which was horticulture. He has been diligently sending out resumes from searches online, but hasn’t heard anything yet. Also, prayers for other morons and ‘ettes looking for jobs. 9/21 – vmom stabby stabby stabby asked for prayers for a young mom who works at her dentist’s office, who is battling a stage 3 brain tumor. 9/21 – RedMindBlueState requested prayers for C, a the two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter of a friend and fellow parishioner, who recently had a tumor removed from her spine. 9/23 – Lady in Black asked for prayers for her dad. He is 89 and has upcoming cataract surgery. The cataracts are so bad, he is now legally blind. His surgery is 10/1 and he is very afraid and worried. Prayers for his peace of mind, safety, and well-being during the surgery would be greatly appreciated. 9/27 – Joe Kidd would appreciate prayers for God’s tender mercies toward the soul of Joe’s older brother Mike, who passed away on 9/26 from stomach cancer. Prayers for comfort toward his widow Irene and adjust son Michael are also appreciated. 9/27 – Coelacanth asked for prayers for his son. In the last year, his son has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and another connective tissue disorder that can be severely limiting, and his most recent job has a terribly toxic work environment. Despite this, the son has been pushing through. He has been praying, but feels that God has abandoned him. The Horde’s prayers helped this son the last time; please pray for him again. 9/28 – “Perfessor” Squirrel asked for prayers for a family of missionaries from his church, currently on their way to Kenya to begin training Kenyans on how to engage in Christian missionary work in Africa. The family includes the son-in-law, wife, and three small daughters of the pastor at the “Perfessor’s” church. Prayers for their safety and success in their missionary work are appreciated. 9/28 – J.J. Sefton offered prayers for safety and a return to normalcy ASAP for those in and around the area affected by Hurricane Helene. 9/28 – Tonypete requested prayers for his wife’s best buddy, Mike. Mike is on death’s door as a result of bone cancer.
10/7 – Mike is on hospice care and will be going on to his reward very soon. 9/28 – mindful webworker welcomes prayers for minor surgery on his eyelid - for a successful snippage and a quick recovery. 9/28 – Tacitus asked for prayers at the start of a new job. It’s a big step up. 9/30 – It’s me donna asked for prayers for her daughter. She has to have her thyroid removed because of nodules. She is praying it’s not cancer. 10/5 – tbodie Lurker asked for prayers. During surgery for an ablation, they found an external source of afib on an outer wall of the heart. There will be a second procedure done soon. 10/7 – Piper requested prayers for her stepfather, who fell and broke his wrist. He will need surgery to put a plate in. He is in a lot of pain. 10/7 – NR Pax sent an update and thanks for the prayers – mother-in-law’s masses in her chest turned out to be non-cancerous. 10/7 – 496 asked for prayers for the people suffering from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 496 is on his third bout of pneumonia in a month, so he could use some prayers, too. His doctors have not figured out yet what is going on. 10/7 – Eromero posted a prayer. “Dear God, Please grant comfort to families suffering worry and despair over relatives missing after the hurricane damage. Give the searchers and rescuers sharp eyes and gentle hands, guide them to any victims’ location. Supply survivors with medical treatment and nourishment, place them in safe shelters. Return them to their loved ones. In Christ’s name. Amen.” 10/7 – Marcus T posted the good news that a family member’s cancer is gone. Marcus T’s cancer is gone, as well, so he says to never lose hope, He will show you the way. 10/7 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her church’s rummage sale, and that the township which has purchased land from the church would complete the transaction and pay for the land. 10/12 – Just call me Bill asked for prayers for his 14 year old granddaughter. She is being evaluated by a rheumatologist and her mother is afraid she has lupus. Just call me Bill is asking for prayers for a better diagnosis. 10/16 – FeatherBlade posted a prayer request for his/her stepdad. He was having heart problems, went to the hospital, and they admitted him. He had a stent put in. 10/17 – Annie’s Stew asks for the blessings of safe travel and a wonderful event, for people going to the Texas MoMe. Will pray for your granddaughter. I was diagnosed with lupus nearly 50 years ago, and treatment has come a long way. I've been in remission for several years now. There is hope, even if the diagnosis seems awful. Prayers up.

Other than her toxic personality, her biggest problem is that she's completely incoherent on what she wants to do. She never settled on a message other than "I grew up in a middle class family."
She tries to do the folky "Joy campaign" and then starts shrieking like a banshee about defying Trump. Your average non-affiliated voter is repelled by that sort of thing.
The one opening she had - her best chance at winning - was to convince the Right to Lifers to sit this one out over Trump's alleged betrayal. It was working, Catholics were really fighting over it and then Big Gretch rallied them together and the Pervert Catholic Schoolgirl sealed the deal.

CT scan showed growth of 3 tumors on my right lung. Left lung didn't look too bad. New bone lesions on spine, lower back and ribcage. Fluid around both lungs which will need to be drained. I also have lesions on bones of both upper arms. They will have to scan those separately but I know they there. Not great news but what I expected after being off chemo since April.

Back in the day, a Dentist office had a very strong medicinal disinfectant smell. What was that? I have heard Clove oil suggested, it wasn’t that I don’t believe, at least it smelled nothing like a Clove. Almost metallic, whatever it was I bet it killed germs good. Probably banned by now.

There's no point worrying about things we can't control.
The fact is, Harris is a total clownshow and it's fun to watch. If I put on my battered, discredited pundit hat, I'd have to admit that Harris is losing, probably worse than we know. She's stumbling, desperate, clueless and the historic trend lines are heavily against her. The "wrong track" number is horrible.
We also know that trend lines rarely shift this late in the race. This is typically when a candidate pulls away, especially when you have someone like Trump who is so well known. They could try to pull an "October Surprise" in 2016, because there was still dirt people hadn't seen, but it's been nothing but dirt dumps on the man since then.
Harris and Walz are still unknown due to the brevity of the campaign, and they're both knuckleheads, so more can emerge.

Some excitement at Rancho Webworker last night. A couple of ambulances pulled in, for the neighbors.
Although the ranch is ours, the neighbors live here in the house down nearer the gate. They've lived here for many decades, raised their kids here. Bob has taken good care of the yard. He used to raise his cattle here, now his daughter's family do. Bob was, as my late brother Larry put it, one of the strongest people, but a truly gentle soul.
Living to 90 comes with costs. It was startling to see a couple of paramedics carry him out of the house to the stretcher, he's lost so much weight in recent years. They took him to the hospital, where he got treated for what ailed him, and he should be back soon if not already (haven't checked with his daughter yet this morning).
So, top of my prayer list is Bob's recovery, and the Lord's strength for his wonderful wife.

We’re still grateful to all of that offered prayers for my mother as she faded. She’s buried next to Dad now, and in a better place.

I saw a Harris sign yesterday. It was almost like seeing someone's lawn covered in Christmas decorations in September.
People just don't DO that around here.
Which is a good illustration, I think, of the difference between what impacts one's life, at the local level versus the national level. While we all have to deal with whatever comes out of DC, so much of the day to day can be, and for me, is influenced by the people living around me.
I chose to live here, and feel bad for those of you who can't move away from your third world shithole cities.

I will cite two data points that support the idea that Kamala is losing bigly:
1) the recent lipreading incident between Obama and Biden at the Kennedy funeral. They both acknowledge that Kamala is a weak candidate.
2) The reported chewing-out delivered by Kamala to her CoS. She is said to have blamed her impending loss on that hapless woman.

We've all heard a lot about authenticity during this campaign, and I think ultimately that's the most devastating failure for Cummala. People know she's a phony, everything about her screams it.
Walz isn't really a phony, he just has to hide some of the darker aspects of his character.
Contrast that with both Trump and Vance, who come off to everyone who is open to seeing it, as authentic, true to themselves guys, who don't bullshit people. You might not agree with them, but you don't get the sense they are something other than what they show you.
