The problem with solving problems is that once they are solved, no one needs the solver anymore. The better kinds of problems are recurring problems that ensure customer retention, employing plumbers, locksmiths and police officers, but the best kind are the completely unsolvable problems.Once again, the estimable Daniel Greenfield hits the nail on the head. Hell, maybe some people, who we thought forever lost to us, are at long last waking up.
And those are the only kinds of problems that the Left wants to solve.
Given enough human ingenuity and technological development, most problems can concievably be addressed and that is why the Left has to contrive to make them unsolvable by either causing the problem (homelessness), defining it in such a way that it is inherently unsolvable (equity), defining the inappropriate problem while obscuring the actual problem (gun violence) or inventing fake problems (global warming) that can never be solved because they don’t exist in the first place.
Why create unsolvable problems? They’re a virtually infinite source of money and power.
The Left came into being by defining inequality as its signature problem. Since inequality is a factor of human nature and every attempt to solve it involves creating more inequality, it was the perfect unsolvable problem. But the primal leftist error was defining inequality in social and economic terms. Growing technology and social mobility made both social and economic inequality managable even as leftits were building up a full head of steam, toppling governments and setting off revolutions. . .
. . .The one thing that the Left will never do is solve a problem. It however excels at creating them. If there is a problem out there, it will do everything within its power to make it worse by rejecting the obvious root causes and insisting that all the efforts must be directed at its ideological formula which very often has the added side effect of juicing whatever the root cause is. Faced with crime, it insists on freeing criminals, with homelessness, it subsidizes it, with school shootings carried out by suicidal fame-hungry teens, it talks of them endlessly and makes them as famous as they could ever hope to be.

Tawhedi’s co-conspirator is described as a juvenile who appears to be Tawheid’s brother-in-law.
We’re dealing with a terrorist family here. The Islamic family that prays and preys together stays together.
That said, are the anti-American Left and Democrat party doing anything significantly less evil by fiat, edict, law or corrupt judges than criminals, illegal aliens and terrorists are or potentially will do to us in depriving us of our lives, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Very little, IMHO. Two assassination attempts on Trump, the kangaroo courts, the imprisioning of citizens for exercising their first amendment right of free speech and protest and on and on and on - the generational sacking of the treasury to fund our own enslavement and destruction just underscores that. 8.00am is the 1942 Erroll Flynn movie Gentleman Jim, about bare-knuckle boxer "Gentleman" Jim Corbett. A really nice performance from Flynn, with Alexis Smith as the aloof love interest, Alan Hale Sr (the Skipper's dad) as Corbett's dad and William Frawley as the crusty old fight manager.
You'll also see Tor (Plan 9 From Outer Space) Johnson in a quick cameo as "The Mauler."
Well worth watching!

The grey-haired guy giving the demo is having no problem using the soft squeeze-tube to add curly hair and eyes with brows [much like a cake decorator] but the TV hostess isn't having much luck squeezing hard enough to get a good solid bead at all.
[Cake decorators not being forced to bake a fag cake at least.]

Because I'm sure it'll be "affordable apartments" to accommodate the illegals getting airdropped into the area. My NeverTrump in-laws, who started locking their doors when an apartment complex got put up down the street from them, were scoffing at their elderly parents locking their doors and the grandparents live a block from us. We got chased out of Ft. Walton Beach when hurricane Michael hit. We'd only been there for about 2 or 3 days of a planned 7 day vacation. The weather people were pretty agitated. On day 3 we made the decision to leave the following morning, early. This was about 3 days before landfall, and Michael's exact path wasn't clear. But we headed out anyway. Traffic was heavy, but not horrible. Some spots on state routs 85 and 55 were clogged. Gas prices were going up too. Hotels started to appear with "No Vacancy" signs. I-65 wasn't much of an issue, but traffic going north was definitely heavier than going south.
My takeaway... if you leave, leave early or you ain't leaving.

While attempting to land, rotor wash caused items to blow away from the local distribution set up by a group of civilians in the area. The crew immediately identified the situation, aborted the landing for safety reasons, and departed the area.

My experience says leave later to avoid the traffic jams. Every minute you idle in stop and go traffic is wasting gas you may wish you had back. Do fill your gas tank early, 4-5 days before landfall if you think you may evacuate. This coupled with leaving later will give you more evac range and some gas in evac areas where gas is sold out. If you're going, do go no later than noon today. Weather is still OK for auto travel.
It's good to have a place to go, but living in your vehicle or a school gym shelter for a day or more is better than dying by drowning or being crushed by your collapsing house or apartment building. If you stay in the most damaged area and survive you'll be hard-pressed for food and water for a couple days minimum.
I have evacuated for hurricanes twice, from Houston, due to projected storm surge. Both times it turned-out to be unnecessary. I felt a bit foolish for a time, but will evac again given similar projections.
Praying for those who will be affected by Milton.

I live in far SE Houston and was trapped in that traffic evacuating from Rita. It took me 24 hours to get to Austin, where I had a place to stay. I was running on fumes 90 miles from Austin. Thankfully gas stations still had gas in that area.
