Oh No! Marxist "News" Outlets Are Putting Out Such Great Product and Are So Trusted by the Public That They Have to Begin Slashing Salaries of Even Their Top On-Air "Talent"

I might never recover. This is so sad.

I want you all to pray or meditate or think about your families -- whatever you need to do to find some strength. Because I know this news will be very upsetting to you. Very disorientating. How can the world be so cruel?

Let's all say a prayer for Stunning and Brave Top "News Talent" and hope they continue making the tens of millions that we know they're owed.

This sad story begins at the Paris Olympics, and CBS "News" personnel pretending to be Happy Regime Parrots.

In fact, they were sad, fretful Regime Parrots.

Because CBS "News" had just told the low-rated Norah O'Donnell that they would no longer be paying her millions for failure and would have to take a pay cut or exit the network.

O'Donnell had brokered a soft landing, of course--a long-term sinecure focusing on major cross-platform interview specials--but the veterans in Paris were savvy enough to understand the true implications: Norah's bosses had determined they could no longer justify her high-seven-figure salary while their audience was declining by double-digit percentages each quarter....

Sure, CBS News was the perennial third-place network and on the cusp of new corporate ownership, and Norah wasn't exactly a high-impact ratings driver, but it still seemed like a harbinger of a broader, long-projected belt-tightening. And, indeed, the very next month, the bean counters came for Hoda. Earlier this year, the Today star learned that her NBC bosses could no longer sustain her $20 million-plus annual salary, and that they wanted her to take a pay cut....

Inevitably, many television news talents will make similar announcements in the year ahead. As one veteran media executive put it: "Same drill, different cover story."

The great resetting of TV news contracts is now firmly underway, it seems, and most talent will be affected--at best by a smaller-than-anticipated cost-of-living raise, often by a pay cut, and, at worst, by a delicately choreographed defenestration. There may be a few exceptions to the rule--Savannah, the multitalented NBC headliner, who will become even more valuable to the brand in Hoda's absence; David Muir, whose nightly broadcast is often the most watched show on television, etcetera--but pretty much everyone else is vulnerable.

"In this stage of the deconstruction of linear television and network news, no one is safe," the media executive said.

In recent weeks, I've reported that Lester Holt, Wolf Blitzer, and other aging marquee talents are likely to exit soon. I can also report that ABC News star George Stephanopoulos is currently in negotiations over his own $25 million-plus contract, which is up early next year....

Of course, the coming cuts are not limited to megawatt, multimillion-dollar talent. In many cases, the most life-altering hits will be felt by those in the middle.

LOL. First I hear that "Savannah" -- I guess she's such a star she goes by one name, like Madonna -- is a "multitalented headliner," now I hear that George Stephanopolous is a "megawatt... talent."

Delusion isn't just a river in Egypt.

..

It's exactly these kinds of diminished expectations that have talent and their agents in such a funk. And it may also explain why there's been so much curiosity from broadcast and network insiders around Amazon's decision to test the waters of live news event programming with its forthcoming Brian Williams-helmed election special.

That's an amazing story in its own right -- the repeatedly-fired fabulist has been chosen by Amazon to "cover" election night.

Another multitalented megawatt talent. But aren't all the media swells multitalented megawatt talents?

Former MSNBC host Brian Williams is in the final stages of discussing the possibility of hosting a live election night special on Amazon Prime Video, Variety reported on Saturday.

This article is from September 28. They've since signed the serial fabulist.

...

With less than six weeks to go until Election Day, the aim of the special, according to the five people familiar with the matter, is to have a "non-partisan discussion"

F***kin' LOL

of the events of the night. Variety reported a source said that the show would focus mostly on explaining the news rather than "breaking individual pieces of it."

According to Variety, the sources said that Williams would be mostly relying on The Associated Press to determine how candidates are doing in each state in the election special.

Oh, so he's an on-air blogger. Wonderful. What a multitalented, megawatt talent.

You know who the real multitalented, megawatt talents are?

You guys.

You know the people who successfully detected Biden's Parkinson's years before the media multitalented megawatt talents would even acknowledge he was in mental decline.

123 Turnout. Turnout. Turnout.

I've posted on this before. Public polls aren't good at seeing changes in Turnout. If you didn't vote the last time they won't give you full credit this time even if you swear you will.

Trump is going to get massive Turnout from White Non-College. They're the largest cohort of all by far and they strategically skew to swing states. A 5% increase in their turnout will mean game over with momentous down ticket implications. It's why Trump picked Vance.

Trump will also pick up with Black men and Hispanics. Many traditional D voters will stay home.

Barring a Huge and Obvious Steal of course, but that's getting harder to pull off as it would require success in several states and this time everyone's looking. Being obvious about a Steal and failing is a decidedly suboptimal outcome for the Junta.

This is sinking in with our Ruling Class Betters and why the panic is rising.

206 I just did some calculations on the 2020 election.

The US population was 332,000,000. The population 18 and over was 260,000,000.
The total vote count was 158,000,000 which would reflect 61% of the 18 and over population. Seems impossible.

What seems more impossible is the site Statista says that there were 168 million people registered to vote in 2020 which would make the registered voter turnout in 2020 to be 94%.

California doesn't count mail in and military ballots if they wouldn't change the election result. So the popular vote totals are not accurate.

The point of the EC is to give extra voting power to minority states to avoid dominance by a few large ones. This country needs more of that at more levels, not less.

Posted by: Sebastian Melmoth

McConnell shit on the two GOP candidates by killing Trump's idea for the lame duck House and Senate to hand out another round of cash rebates and there was widespread ballot buying by giftcards by illegal ballot harvesting ops for the Dems.

Plus, neither Purdue nor his worthless trophy wife of the NYSE appointed senator had the spine to fight over the illegal shenanigans in the presidential race, let alone their own. Both went quietly to their demise.

McConnell and the GOP then promptly after Trump left office approved the full amount of tax rebates for Biden among other things.

The GOP in the state leg, AG, and Governor's office were in full coverup mode over the cheat in ATL and other places as well. Probably because Kemp was dirty from his 2018 election over Abrams and the Dems had the receipts. Kemp wiped all the election records (electronic only at that point) right after the election

Seats sat vacant due to infighting in the legislature, rich bought and sold senators to the extent after the massive corruption during the Gilded Age, no one considered senators as worthwhile nominees to the Presidency.

The Senate has always been problematic as far as capture by special interests because it is easier to buy 10-12 senators than 30-50 House members. Also easier to torpedo popular legislation by Senate inaction and pop in last minute spending grift due to the amendment process in the Senate.

271 From the latest Milton update:

"WSR-88D radar images from Tampa and Key West show that Milton is a sheared hurricane, with the heaviest precipitation to the north of the center, and the eye open on the south side."

This is awesome news - although the NOAA idiots won't state that in the discussion.

For a symmetrical eyewall on a storm moving east into a coastline, the storm surge will be MUCH higher south of the center of the landfall location.

Milton now has weaker winds in the south eyewall, so that will reduce the "normal" worst area of storm surge.

The winds are strongest in the northern eyewall. Storm surge WILL pile up north of the landfall location as the hurricane approaches. However, as the storm gets close enough, the strongest winds will be blowing OFFSHORE in the north, thereby reducing the previous storm surge.

Not saying that the Senate construct was invalid but that it proved more amenable to corruption during the gilded years of state legislatures choosing senators. States were often little more than corrupt machines for large economic interests in many states--So. Pac RR ran California for decades, mining in AZ and MT, and so on.

That was reflected by who got picked to be senators--they were to look out for those interests. Even now, you see the same---Senator from Boeing--Scoop Jackson, Senator from Microsoft-Cantwell, and so on. Biden was shill person for credit card banks like MNBA, Daschle, etc for banks and insurance, Dole was senator from ADM Grassley, Big Corn.

Now many of those corps are MNCs, the Senators dance for foreign powers.

Nope, full trial. Resulted in conviction. Judge to determine sentence.

Short version is a aunt with some sort of schizophrenic disorder ends up with four other family members living with her in her apartment, and using the disabled aunts disability check to pay the rent.

Aunt becomes increasingly difficult to live with, and health declines. Ultimately there is a 911 call and the police discover her emaciated and lying in her own filth, nearly dead, extensive bed sores. Doctor reports that her sulfate level which is apparently a marker for dehydration was so high he still cannot find a record in any medical journal of someone having a sulfate reading as high as this woman had. 205 (they don't do units in court).

The niece living there was, according to her own mother's testimony at the time, the primary caregiver, and she had been trained and worked as a home health care worker for like 8 years. But she wasn't caring for the woman, wasn't trying to get her help, and had stuffed clothes under the door and lit candles to try to block the smell.

Same corruption at work there. Remember IL governor selling Obama's Senate seat and going to prison for it? Same as Kemp appointing a worthless wife of a rich owner of the NYSE to be senator despite a total lack of qualifications.

Corruption and government go hand and hand and it has always been thus. What we as citizens have to do is eternal vigilance--you can't just elect folks and trust them to do the right thing. They will inevitably turn to the dark side if they do not fear losing their seats.

The GOP base has been loathe to turnout traitorous and corrupt assholes like Lindsay Graham, Mitch McConnell, McCain, Eyepatch McCain, etc. often for the most laughable of reasons.

"But the Dems might get the seat (and the spoils) is the refrain" if we voted those asses out during the primary.
