Jarik Jongman introduces waiting rooms, data centers and film sets as a stage for ideas about reality and human behaviour in the ‘post truth’ society. More than ever, ‘truth’ seems to have become a fluid concept. Furthermore, the paradoxical situation has arisen, wherein the abundance of information available is merely contributing to our insecurity. In his current work the artist constructs new, imaginary visual spaces, departing from personal memories and associations and found imagery from newspapers, magazines and the internet Posted by: redridinghood at September 30, 2024 09:58 AM (NpAcC) 115

Leftist propaganda serves in part to make it seem that leftist views are way more popular then they are. I assume we've all seen those videos where they mash up every FNM reporter saying the same line after it becomes part of the narrative. Because they are just reading lines someone else wrote for them. And as an interesting aspect of this if you ever have a leftist friend that goes off the grid for a while you'll find even they are amazed as to whatever the hell the media is talking about once they plug in again. Jongman is an excellent artist able to capture the mood he wants in his paintings. The use of many shades of dark color and realistic detail catches the viewer's eye. The bad part is his scenes are depressing, almost nihilistic. People of a suicidal bent should avoid his work. Sheesh!

Report from watching the Vikings-Packers game (via pirate feed; all good conservatives are pirates), since it was in Green Bay, expected political ads:
Kammie - her debate clip, the one where she says she didn't ask if the crime victim (that no one can find any she ever talked to*) was D or R. 1) that was what they found to be her highest-rated moment? 2) also a reason why she's desperate for another debate 3) I'm not quite sure "America, you've been a victim of a crime" is a good message. Especially when she's the one who let the criminal in your house. * Trump - Hitting her hard over the tranny surgery for illegals and inmates. "She's for they/them; Trump is for you" is a pretty good line. Senate - It was the R ad. I didn't notice 'till he mentioned Baldwin. Hitting her liberal issues. Impression of the ad was it was a good "like me" for regular WI voters. *It's looking almost 100% that the reason there are no "Willie Horton" ads by on the criminals Harris let go is because she never tried a case. Or even a plea. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at September 30, 2024 10:15 AM (fVaTp) 165

The majority of people I know here, whose number I have, have an out of state area code. Everyone keeps their number when they move these days. Pg 342-343 are relevant. Project STORMFURY seeded three hurricanes in the 1960s - Esther(1961), Buelah(1963), and Debbie(1969). With Debbie upon the first seeding, they saw a peak winds reduction of 30%. Second seeding resulted in a further 16% reduction. Many politicians and Law Enforcement will be there. We’ll be saying hello to Franklin Graham, Burt Jones, Tyler Harper, Mike Collins, Austin Scott, Russ Goodman, Sam Watson, and the Mayor of Valdosta Scott James. They are working very hard. I was also going to stop into North Carolina, which has really been hit hard. I have a lot of supplies ready for them, but access and communication is now restricted, and we want to make sure that Local Emergency Management is able to focus on helping the people most affected, and not being concerned with me. I’ll be there shortly, but don’t like the reports that I’m getting about the Federal Government, and the Democrat Governor of the State, going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas. A rather incoherent mess, this painting, and so much use of dark tones and black. It has a sort of "TV Set" feel to the layout, and the backside and... towel wearing?... central figure does convey a "forget me" theme. Or maybe it's a bad right wig. Also, emulating a hundred year old style with his "pseudo-impressionism in black" doesn't indicate a lot of creativity here. C+.
