Even CNN's Liberal Freak Jake Tapper Knocks Kamala Harris For Refusing to Answer Questions In the Debate

Ed Morrissey notes that Tapper, of course, "both sides" the question-dodging, claiming Trump also failed to be specific when answering some questions.

But we've already seen four years of President Trump -- we have a pretty firm idea not just what his policies are in the abstract, but in real-world practice. Kamala Harris continues to be a red diaper baby Manchurian Candidate cipher that climbed the political ladder on her back and on her knees.

However, any recognition in the mainstream media of Harris' evasiveness may qualify as a "shocking moment of journalism." Harris evaded all policy questions, including one example Tapper never mentions: tariffs. Trump certainly answered that policy question, and tried answering many questions with policy statements about border security and immigration control. Harris avoided all of those too, and got completely skunked on tariffs when Trump pointed out that Joe Biden and Harris continued the tariffs that Trump imposed. Harris looked like she wasn't even aware that the tariffs were still in place...

She almost certainly isn't aware. Remember, a major source of tension in her office is that her aides write her briefing books that she doesn't read, and then attacks her staff for not properly informing her when she embarrasses herself publicly with her ignorance.

Update: Yesterday I expressed caution about a CNN poll showing that Trump had gained on the number one voter concern, the economy. I said the poll might have reached more Trump supporters than Harris supporters.

However, those polls said, by 55%, that Harris won the debate.

But still Trump climbed on the economy. Probably because Harris made it clear, despite her best efforts, that she was doubling down on Bidenomics.

Now, the Catholic one is WAY more interesting b/c that includes all the CINOs, too...so you probably have hardcore Catholics 99-1 Trump with the rest 50-50...and that usually never happens...

They can tell when they are being lied to. BUT most people didn't pay attention, so they could get away with it.

Then they really screwed up people's lives and it is now COSTLY not to pay attention.

So their "we'll make everything better, somehow. Just trust us!" won't work. (BUT fraud might.)

49 I saw an interesting theory that the reason the CNN moderators were so fair, in comparison to the ABC ones, is the CNN mods were in on the coup, and were trying to give Biden room to hang himself. They wanted him to crater so they could swap him out.

Interesting if true. But that also undermines Trump's performance at the CNN debate, which was stellar for him. He got some great zingers in that resonated. And no way did the mods want Biden to say he beat Medicare.

Also, I think viewership of the Kamala debate dropped 20 points from the numbers for the Biden debate. So you had more people seeing the senile fool than the drunken brat queen.

110 "However, those polls said, by 55%, that Harris won the debate. But still Trump climbed on the economy. Probably because Harris made it clear, despite her best efforts, that she was doubling down on Bidenomics."

I have a simpler explanation: the people saying that the kasabi "won" the debate but they are more inclined to vote for Trump as a result of the debate are really saying that Trump won. They just know they can't really admit that.

It's like all the people saying "well, I don't really like Trump, but I'll vote for him because [insert X here]." It's like they have to clear their throat before admitting they'll vote for Trump.

As I have said here several times, I think the concept of "winning" or "losing" the debate lacks any real meaning, given how disparate each candidate's goals and constituencies are.

I do think that Trump improved his position more than this kasabi did. I think he pitched the debate at those few voters who are still on the fence. I think it resonated more with them than it did with more hardcore conservatives like us here.

How Trump should have made his closing statement: I knew this debate wouldn't be fair to me, I knew the moderators wouldn't treat me the same as my debate opponent, but I agreed to this debate because that's what leaders do -- face their adversaries, not hide from tough question or hide from political opponents.

Maybe CNN is trying to offset the damage ABC did to Trump because they want him in for the bucks.

The media seems to have much more power now than they did in 2016.

Trump had social media working then.

We wouldnt be talking about this if Trump prepared for the fucking debate. Is he trying to lose? Is he feeling old and still affected by almost having his head blown off and no one seeming to care?

Something seems off.

What a change from the typical political blather. If Trump wins big which I think is actually possible, it could give him the mandate needed to actually implement Elon's government efficiency plan.

231 The Dems did okay in 2022, but they lost the House popular vote by 3 points. People are often overstating what happened in 2022. In 2002, the GOP retained House control, won the House popular vote, and gained House seats despite holding the Presidency. None of that happened in 2022. The Democrats just lost by less than expected.

The Senate is different, of course, but that was also true in 2018. The map matters a great deal there. And Trump-related issues have played a large role in the GOP going from 4/4 to 0/4 Senate seats in GA and AZ.

245 I find it disturbing that the illegals seem to be popping up and causing trouble in traditionally rural, red locations lately. I know the blue shit hole cities are infested with them, but now the unwashed heathens are showing up elsewhere.

It's not like they drove themselves either. They were 'planted' in those spots. For a reason. The populations there don't seem to want them, yet the local governments do. So I have to wonder how much it takes to payoff a small town government to allow tens of thousands of illegals to be dumped on them?

And when will the locals have had enough and take matters into their own hands?

It apparently took (according to rumor) Roberts literally begging and pleading to not take the cases to kill it, promising that things would return to normal without Trump. I don't know what to expect. What I have heard is that Cummala wasn't terrible, in other words she wasn't Joe Biden, but that there were some real whoppers coming out of her mouth (as opposed to going in).

So that's the question: Do the LiV's hear her say the economy is great, there's no border problem, nobody's eating ducks out of community ponds... and Trump is a nazi... do people who don't follow this stuff daily, do they hear that and think "this woman is full of shit," or do they think "wow, she strings sentences together."

For example, when Trump was asked about the weaponization of the legal system, couldnt he have spent some time crafting a better answer to what he's been through over the last 4 years?

Debates dont determine who wins, just ask Mitt Romney, but it just showcased the Trump many get frustrated with. Instead of a Kamala that never gives straight answers, we got a Trump that just sort of fumbled his way through every answer.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison, going full throttle with Tony Scott at September 12, 2024 12:38 PM (GBKbO)
________

Keep it simple. Start with the biggest shrimp you can get. I find that anything smaller than 16-20 is good for dipping or snacks, but not great for dinner.

Then pan-sear the shrimp in olive oil. Don't overcook. Maybe 45 seconds a side. Then remove and douse with melted butter, sprinkle on some pepper and salt, and a splash of lemon or lime. I usually also add some za'atar. Done.

Shrimp has a delicate flavor. Too much -- or too many -- spices overwhelms the flavor.

A good example is Michigan in 2020. The local law enforcement investigated (as well as Mich. State Police). They had incontrovertible evidence of massive fraud. The FBI stepped in, took over the "investigation" and buried it.

311 245 I find it disturbing that the illegals seem to be popping up and causing trouble in traditionally rural, red locations lately.

380 Since we're talking spices, I have a strong recommendation.

Slap Ya Mama Cajun spice mix. I like both original and hot. Original has salt in it. Don't add any salt if you use original. You can add salt if you use hot.

383 >>> Why on Earth would she want to even mention "cat lady" at a time when it's helpful to Trump, including at the very time swarthy gentlemen are Afl-ing cats in Ohio?

Because she is one, and it's a way to make her childless cat lady fans connect to her, even if they will never look like her, be as wealthy and connected as her, date hot men like her, or get within a million miles of her within their lifetimes.

Her press/marketing team couldn't have planned on the Haitian cat eating memes dropping the same time she posted a photo with her cat, it was bad timing. (Well, hilarious timing, the best timing for us, but you know what I mean.)

She named one of her cats Olivia and one Meredith, because she loved the Olivia character on Law and Order: SVU and the Meredith character on Grey's Anatomy. Talk about telling me you're a lib without telling me you're a lib...

392 >>There are NGOs who are responsible for a lot of the chaos in the small towns. Cornering the market on employment and placing only migrants.

Can you say Color Revolution? Sure you can.

The Biden/Harris administration has been funneling millions, at this point it's likely in the billions, to NGOs across the spectrum to aid and abet their plan to flood the country with illegals.

The groups all have noble sounding names, Catholic Charities looking at you, but they are helping destroy this country by actively working to bring millions of illegals into this country and replacing Americans in jobs and influence.

That's how color revolutions work, NGOs.

There is also the fact that most post debate interviews of people who watched it say they are more likely to vote for Trump.

So it's literally a mystery to me how people can say Kamblabla won the debate when fewer people want to vote her.

406 NY has a lot of important House seats. The strong top-of-the-ticket in 2022 (Zeldin) helped with that. Hopefully, a strong top of the ticket in 2024 will do the same in PA (which was not the case in 2022).

On a related note, there is probably going to be a big shift of House seats toward red states following the 2030 Census. I think the projections are that red/purple states with GOP legislatures (TX, FL, TN, NC, GA, AZ, ID, among others) will gain something like 10-15 seats. CA, NY, and IL, among other states, will lose several seats each. This should help the GOP in the House. It will also mean that the GOP only needs 2/5 of the major 'swing' states (GA, AZ, PA, MI, WI) instead of 3/5.

HIAS - A Hebrew organization, was very much involved in moving migrants from the Darien Gap through Mexico into the USA. It's not just Catholic Charities. A lot of NGO's drank from the well.

It appears that perhaps HIAS has removed its support of the effort at the Darien Gap once some light was shone upon them.

Rasmussen has been saying for a while the "Harris is new" bump was fading and Trump was gaining strength.
