Just back from the movie "Reagan" with my running mate and my son. Excellent film-long but good, I recommend everbody that can, go to it to stick attendance in the eye of doltish left wing reviewers. I was touched by how imporant his faith was to Reagan nd what a strong, positive influence Reagan's mother had in his life.

23 The usual weight of a fine goose is fifteen or sixteen pounds, but it is scarcely credible how far this weight may be increased, by cramming the birds with bean-meal, and other fattening diet. It some places it is customary to nail them to the floor by the webs of the feet, to prevent any possibility of action, and thus to fatten them the more readily.

In Vienna the livers of geese are esteemed a great delicacy. They are eaten stewed, and some of the German poulterers have a method of making them grow to an enormous size. This poses a hazard, as entire villages have been destroyed by rampaging giant geese.

24 I've had the pleasure of being in the water with a pod of humpbacks. The place was off of Capt. Cook monument on the Big Island. We were snorkeling and the water depth went from 20 feet to 40 to 60 and then to a mile or more. The whales were away and just looked like a blue blob the size of a bus. THEN one of them "pinged" us with a sonic query which made our internal organs vibrate.
At that point the little minnows headed back to the shallows.

51 Werner warns that the owls are not what they seem. I learned this from children's entertainer David Lynch. What then are they, I inquired. Lynch broke into a rare but warm smile. Yes, he said. Ja, what? I queried. Exactly, Lynch replied while waving at the numerous bats that populated his sumptuous townhouse. That one, he said, is Lorraine.

Ja, was my rejoinder, but what are the owls, exactly. David patted me on the shoulder, saying Vern (ja, that), you get it. Mein Fruend, I told him, do I look like Lou Costello? If Who is on first and What is on second, then shall Werner go medieval on your pseudo-Buddhist ass. Vern, he told me, here is a surprise. To the tune of industrial music, Kinski came forth, dancing in a manner most unsettling. Lynch wanted him as the Man From Another Place in his upcoming TV series. Nein, I told him, go with a little person instead. What, he asked me? Second base, I said. It was a different time. Ach.

I think they like cooling off just as much as humans do. The ones that come from southern climes, India and Indonesia, probably heat up quite a bit. Siberian tigers, well, there is some summer there and no doubt it gets extreme in the heat department.

My boyhood cat Rusty jumped into the bathtub when there were a couple of inches of water in it. He was clearly shocked, leaped back out, and never went near the bathtub again unless he peered in to check if it was dry.

His expression was priceless too when he put a paw down on a garden lizard in the patio, and the lizard *left its tail behind*, as they do, and scurried away. Dogs and cats don't have the *range* of expressions that people do, but they communicate their emotions with their faces quite well.

Exxon still uses the tiger as part of its logo, though I don't think they actually say "tiger in your tank" any more.

I seem to recall from before I was a driver that Esso gas stations, in the days when stations were "service" and had giveaways, would give you an orange-and-black tiger tail to display from your gas filler door when you filled up. (A fillup then being 20 ga. x .30 = $6.00.)

This will involve the most senior goose shall have to attend a christening service for his goddaughter, while the carnage takes place in a montage-like fashion.

Also, the culinary quality of the goose is far below that of a swan. Before the Danes decided to scrub Hans Christian Anderson of any controversy, this was an important plot element. They could not face the truth that Hans was gangsta. Ja, that.

In Burroughs' novels, Jane learned an enormous amount of jungle survival lore from her husband Tarzan. There's a late novel from the '30s where she is on a plane that crash lands in the African bush (sort of a Stagecoach story on a plane). She teaches the others how to survive.

True -- though that was before my time as a driver. An hour's work then, let's say $1.00/hr., bought ca. 3 gallons of gas and 30 miles of driving at 10 mpg. Now, if you earn $9/hr., it's the same -- but you can drive 75-90 miles on those 3 gallons at 25-30 mpg.

Ha. I'm betting the "her money" phenomenon scales up, and you'd still be expected to pay for dates.

I'd also suspect the Pareto principle would show itself fairly quickly, and 80% or so of all men polled would choose whichever was prettier.

One of the funniest things is taking someone to NYC for the first time and showing them around. The geography of the area is a lot different than most imagine.

This is appalling and extremely racist. It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA.

This does not represent President Trump.

This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever.

@LauraLoomer
should take this down.

wins, the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center and the American people will only be able to convey their feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that nobody will understand.

This kid has a TikTok channel where he tries to sell a fake PS5 to blacks in the ghetto.

Literally every single one just steals it from him.

One even took his flip flops too. 🩴

NEW: Singer Jon Bon Jovi saves a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee while filming a music video.

Good man.

Bon Jovi was seen approaching a 62-year-old woman on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The musician leaned over the railing before hoisting the woman to safety and embracing her.

"It takes all of us to help keep each other safe," the Nashville PD said.

262 The morning of 911 for me.

I was still asleep, having come home from a mid-shift in the ER around 1 AM. and my wife and kids had left early for daycare and work.

Then the phone rang. It brought me ever so slightly awake but I was not going to get up and answer it as the phone was down the hall in the kitchen and I thought to just let the answering machine get it.....what I heard next after the BEEP was an elderly family friend "Frank" who was a WWII vet and fought in Italy with Clark's 3rd Army, was wounded, captured, finally rescued and sent home.

He was very agitated and in a high pitched voice..."RICHARD...RICHARD" "Get your wife and your kids and get DOWN IN YOUR BASEMENT!!!"

"THEY'RE BOMBING EVERYTHING!!!"...BEEP....

And that is how 911 started for me. I woke up completely confused then walked down to the kitchen...replayed his message and then turned on my TV.

5 mins later my Dad called from LAX "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON??" I just brought your mom down for her plane flight back to Maine and now they are dumping her out on the tarmac but I can't meet her??? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON RICHARD???"

Dad I don't know, something about planes flying into some buildings.
