More than 20 illegal immigrants in southern California attempted to board school buses on two separate occasions as the buses were on routes transporting children, school district officials said. Two bus routes in the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District were interrupted by groups of illegal immigrants earlier this week, forcing the school district to warn parents to "stay [vigilant]," Fox 5 San Diego reported. The first incident happened on Tuesday afternoon and involved three men walking in the middle of the road and trying to get the school bus filled with children to stop. Superintendent Liz Bystedt said that the bus had to "go around" the group to continue on its route. On Wednesday, another bus stopped at a designated pick-up spot near where the bus from Tuesday was forced to drive around illegal immigrants and was met with a group of 20 illegal immigrants who attempted to board the bus. Bystedt said that parents who were at the bus stop waiting with their children ensured that the kids made it onto the bus safely and that no illegal immigrants boarded. It is unknown if the groups are connected, the Fox report said.

The superintendent said that the district reported both bus incidents to the U.S. Border Patrol, California Highway Patrol, and San Diego County Sheriff's Department, according to Fox 5. "The San Diego Sheriff's Office was made aware of this incident today. We are conducting a follow up investigation to determine if a criminal act has occurred. The Sheriff's Office takes issues regarding student safety very seriously and are working with the school district in order to keep the students and our community safe," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
Jamul is just 25 miles from the Mexican border city of Tijuana. The San Diego sector has been a hot spot for illegal border crossing this year, with more than 37,000 arrests made by the U.S. Border Patrol in the area in April, the Associated Press reported.Is it possible these Military-Aged Men merely mistook the yellow school buses for intercity passenger buses? Well, Mexico paints its school buses yellow. So Mexicans would recognize these as school buses. Guatemala, however, buys old US school buses and repurposes them as public transport, so I guess it's possible that these large groups of men were merely attempting to catch a ride on what they thought was a public bus. Though those "chicken buses" are painted colorfully. They're not yellow. And I'm not sure how these Newcomers didn't read the word "SCHOOL" on the buses, especially because the Spanish is so similar (escuela). Unless they're also completely illiterate, not just in English but in Spanish as well. In that case, of course: we owe them an even bigger, heartier "Buenvenidos, muchachos!" But whatever. Don't worry about it, peasant. Our Newcomers are Welcome to do as they please. You need to learn their language, culture, customs, but they don't have to learn anything about yours.

There was at least one incident with New Americans surrounding a range volunteer on his way down this road. But such incidents were rare. Mostly the people were in the harmless category, mostly entire families, women with children.
A few months ago, this all stopped. Border Concierge guys confirmed this was probably a change in cartel operations. And gaps in the wall a bit east near Jacumba have received lots of attention, but it seems like mostly young males there. TX making that border section less permissive has pushed much of the traffic west to AZ and CA.

I work with many of these families in my pro-Life volunteering. A significant majority of them are families where mom and/or dad came to the US hoping to make a fortune so they can bring their two or three kids up here within a couple years. For now, they have left the kids back in the home country with friends or relatives.
In other words, they are tearing their own families apart, because they believed the propaganda of this administration's open invitation, encouraging them to pay a trafficker to bring them into the US.

Disintegration is normally what happens. It can be formal in the case of new nations forming or it can be de facto which is the preferred method where states take the lead under a new federalism understanding because the Fed Gov is broke and getting broker by the minute.
Seeing some of the same forces tearing up the national government in Germany which also has relatively strong states.
France and England, due to a long history of centralized control, less so.

The polling misses for statewide FL races over the past few years are evidence of this. The polling miss for the statewide LA governor's race last year is another.
I also think there's an element of accounting for fraud in polling. If you take previous elections in, say, FL as indicative for how FL could vote, then you operate it as though it's a baseline for how, say, the 2022 governor's race will turn out.
But, if the previous results were heavily influenced by something other than voter preferences like, say, Brenda Sykes outright cheating in Broward County, and that gets addressed, then previous elections aren't good baselines anymore. This is what's going to happen in GA and NC, I think.

Not quite that bad yet. 2 Trillion borrowing out of a 6+ trillion budget with 4 trillion in tax revenues.
Interest is now running about a trillion per year and accelerating. Plus, the Treasury has floated a lot of that debt on short term T bills instead of 10yr or 30yr bonds in order to try to depress long term rates for home buyers.
That makes the US very much at risk for sudden shocks just like a household that is borrowing 1 out of every three dollars in income and blowing it on hookers and cocaine.

All polling uses the past to predict the future in likely voting. Trump tends to bring out low propensity voters to a degree that is rare in politicians (course part of that may be desperation by a lot of ordinary folks hoping for a savior--same tendency in other countries have led to autocrats seizing power).
But, those low propensity voters are a personal constituency that cannot be easily transferred to GOP candidates at large in general elections and that fouls up typical polling screens (if honest in their work).

I've said this before, but watch her VP acceptance speech. I was surprised that I disagreed with nothing she was saying. The food system is broken, health is broken, and especially education for our kids is broken.

One thing about low propensity voters--they are hard to poll due to non-response and even non-identification and that messes up the partisan weighting. Sort of like the reverse Ed Bradley effect or the shy Tory polling in the past in the UK.
People with little insulation in jobs, economy, etc. are less likely to tell anyone how they vote, let along some voice on the phone. That circumstance includes a lot of people in the trades or submerged in deep blue industries where open partisanship can cost you money.

You see GOP governors like Charlie Baker in MA or Hogan in MD in deep blue states. That is primarily by voters to check idiocy by Dem dominated legislatures.
I think the best way forward in many of those deep blue states is to institute proportional representation schemes in the legislature via initiatives if possible and elect House critters at large using a similar scheme. Tends to benefit minority parties at the expense of the largest one (plurality or actual majority). First past the post exaggerates the majority party's actual control.
