Kamala Harris, the Most Accomplished and Dynamic Democrat Politician in History Since the Last One, Finally Agrees to One Pre-Taped, Edited Interview with CNN Democrat Dana Bash.

She's so strong and empowered she needs a man to copy her homework off of, even when she'll be asked the easiest, softest questions by CNN's second-most biased "journalist" (after Jim Acosta, natch).
Naturally, you assumed that the interview would take place on a left-leaning network. Of course, you were right. CNN gets the honor of holding the first interview, and chief political correspondent and anchor Dana Bash will be the one to conduct it. Because of course. But that's not the catch. Despite all the criticism Harris has received, even from her allies in the media, for not doing any sit-down interviews or press conferences, her first interview won't be solo. Believe it or not, her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), will be her babysitter for the interview.I guess she's trying to reach out to Generation Z by, like them, also bringing along her dad to a job interview:
After 37 days as the candidate, Harris is giving a joint interview. Could it be any more clear that Harris and her team don't believe she's up to standing on her own? She needs Walz there as a backup in case she goes off the rails. ... She's been Vice President for 3 1/2 years. At what point do we take the training wheels off her bike? ... Even CNN, in the article announcing the interview, points out that Harris has a track record of failure in this department.
Previous major interviews have presented a challenge for Harris. During a 2021 sit-down with NBC's Lester Holt, Harris responded with annoyance when asked why she had not visited the US-Mexico border as part of her assignment to investigate root causes of migration from Central and South America. "At some point, you know, we are going to the border," Harris said in the interview. "We've been to the border. So, this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border. We've been to the border. We've been to the border." Holt responded: "You haven't been to the border."

I think this is wrong.
The media and their paid pollsters allowed the reality of the situation to come through after the debate because the powers that be within the Democrat Party were trying to get rid of Biden.
The actual fundamentals didn't change. The media just...weighted polls differently for about 4-6 weeks until Biden resigned from his own campaign...with a fake signature.

By no means do I agree with these things. But Biden handed out a ton of freebies. Increased child tax credit, student loan forgiveness, EV tax credits, etc. He sent billions and billions to state governments which were then fed to govt employees. Bash didn't carry herself very well during the Trump and Biden debate. Saw nothing that led me to believe she had Democratic leanings, or even an unbiased bent.
Many on camera have overcompensated opposite their beliefs. She is not a conservative. She's okay, but not an outstanding interviewer.
Harris/Walz could have chosen anyone for an interview. I suspect they had their reasons for going with CNN and Bash.
Interviews don't matter. Debates don't matter. The only thing that matters is turnout. The majority of people who watch the debates and interviews have already made up their minds about who they will vote for.
Hard to say debates don't matter after what happened in June. If debates didn't matter, Biden would still be the nominee.

I didn't watch the debate. I was out of town and didn't care. But a friend of mine with very weird politics - he's essentially a "burn it down and fuck 'em all" guy, but one who is also hardcore anti-Trump (full on "Trump's a fascist nightmare" and all the rest of the talking points) and the hardcore Prog variety of the phenomenon - texted me in a panic about the debate.
We don't talk politics much and I didn't know he was anti-Trump until the night of the debate. He did watch it, and his text was along the lines of, "of, fuck. Trump just won this election. There's no way back for Biden. He screwed this up so badly that he handed the country to a fascist monster."

It's too late now. They are stuck with the Airhead the way they got stuck with the Potato last time. And even more so, because another switch at this time wouldn't leave enough time to effectively campaign (they have little enough), the base would throw its hands up in despair, and the independents would head to Trump.
I am now remembering the home stretch of the Hildabeast campaign when she was in cruise mode, admired her high poll numbers, and only appeared in safe venues, while party hacks in the Midwest, South, and Plains states pleaded with her to appear. The October surprise was the sudden realization that Trump was NOT 20 points down, he was margin of error in many states, with the Great Plains, Texas, and the South in his pocket. And Trump has acknowledged closer numbers on Harris already, just after the (very late) Convention.
