The Morning Report — 8/27/24

3RINOstooges.jpg

Good morning kids. Over a few months now, leading up to RFK Jr's announcement of withdrawing from the race and then his endorsement of Donald Ttrump, much has been written about what it means not just in terms of the election but what it says about a diehard Democrat and hardcore liberal (if not leftist) especially given his lineage and what the Kennedy name means to generational Democrat voters.

Had he just withdrawn, his Democrat Left bona fides would have remained intact. But to endorse Trump as well as serve as a hard to ignore megaphone to present ideas and arguments that run contra to Democrat dogma and propaganda in their eyes is an unforgivable sin, to say the least. But does the name Kennedy still carry enough weight and momentum of history/mythology to crack the thick skulls of today's average Democrat?

Yet on top of this, remember that the Democrats have spent much time and effort in trying to sabotage the candidacies of two other notable independent candidates, Cornel West and. . . Jill Stein. And compared to RFK Jr., the both of them make him look like Barry Goldwater in comparison! It looks as if both West and Stein are going to remain on the ballots in the two crucial swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin respectively. Perhaps this is one reason why the Harris and Biden as well as the party openly cheered on the anti-Semites and now are going full Soviet takeover of the economy; to appease their insane base into not seeking alternatives like West or Stein, or RFK.

I cannot see Stein or West openly blasting the Democrat Party for attempting to derail their campaigns, let alone the anti-Semitism (Stein proudly wears the terror towel in public!), and all the other criminality that RFK has railed against, and certainly not endorsing Trump. If the Democrat Party is not now openly bust-out anti-American and not just nod and a wink on the sly to fool the rubes in flyover country, it will be very soon now. And both Stein and West know it, so they are biding their time, Within our lifetimes, they may very well be mainstream Democrats. Meh, between Bernie Sanders and Bro-Fo Omar, they are. Cynthia McKinney's timing was off by a few decades, I guess.

As I've stated a few times, I cannot read RFK Jr's mind nor know what's in his heart, but to go against his own family's history and mythology to me is kind of a big deal, electorally in the short term and hopefully culturally in the long run.

And for whatever it's worth, Harris' old nemesis Tulsi Gabbard has now endorsed Trump.

But with all that said, the story that really underscores the state of play in this nation is not neessarily who endorsed Trump, but see who endorses Harris/Walz?

Hundreds of former aides who served under Republican lawmakers endorsed Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that “another four years” of a Trump administration would “hurt real, everyday” Americans.

In a letter that USA Today obtained, a group of more than 200 former aides for former President George W. Bush, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), and former Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) write that they are reuniting and joining with former staffers for former President George H.W. Bush to endorse Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).

“We reunite today, joined by new George H.W. Bush alumni, to reinforce our 2020 statements and, for the first time, jointly declare that we’re voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this November,” the letter states. . .

. . . Among other people who have also issued support for Harris is former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger. Kinzinger spoke at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and noted that the Republican Party was “no longer conservative.”

War-mongers, grifters and frauds the lot of them, who made fortunes out of pretending to oppose the dismantling of our constitutional order in service to creating a massive, centralized, oppressive all powerful bureaucracy.

Bitterly ironic that on the third anniversary of the Biden Afghanistan bug-out, which left 3,000 Americans butchered for no good reason in Afghanistan and Iraq (hello Dubya!), these same frauds who are itching to see more of our blood and treasure wasted in Ukraine, among other places have the gall to do this.

Trump warned them all that he was going to drain the swamp, and of course they were not going to allow that. In stark contrast was his paying respects at Arlington Cemetery to the 13 servicemen killed in an Islamikaze suicide bombing at the Kabul Airport. While Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants, Harris and Walz stayed away. and the usual suspects called Trump's genuine compassion a political stunt.

Warts, brian worms and all, I'll take RFK Jr. any day of the week over the likes of the human vermin from the Bush/Romney/McCain camps.

72 I like how the class of people farthest away from "real, everyday people"--not just geographically but economically and socially--have ventured into the courtyard to royally pronounce what is best for real, everyday people.

The RFJ Jr and Tulsi endorsements are nearly the final nails in the coffin of the GOPe--even if they eliminate Trump, there's no one left to follow them in the Republican Party.

The final nail is November 5th--either the GOPe is dead or America is.

Congress can pass a law, POTUS can sign, and SCOTUS can uphold. There's nothing in the way except intransigence.“

What’s potentially in the way is SCOTUS. The only reason there might be a need for an amendment is to override SCOTUS if they decide not to go along.

86 I posted this late yesterday and thought it would fit for the morning crowd.

About the RFK Jr. connection to Trump.

Who knows who gave the order to kill JFK. My working theory for the most plausible explanation used to be the Soviets/Castro. Oswald's having spent time in the USSR fit with his being a Manchurian Candidate assassin. But now it's my #2.

I've now got the CIA as #1. Someone took the shot from the Book Depository but it wasn't Oswald, who served as a useful idiot to be the patsy.

Trump's now telling RFK he'll open up all the files, including what was held back in 2017 that should already have been released.

95 Hundreds of former aides who served under Republican lawmakers endorsed Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that “another four years” of a Trump administration would “hurt real, everyday” Americans.

I'm trying to parse that last phrase, particularly since it is demonstrable in numerous ways that We The People flourished under Trump's brief appearance.

The use of euphemisms and platitudes is the clear, unambiguous signal that the speaker is lying, spreading fear and almost always in the form of a smear.

I'm going to go with they have a new definition of "real, everyday" to mean literally fake and special-interest. Fake as in that the Unhumans are as American as anchor babies, and "everyday" as in trannies, ped0s, traitors, human traffickers, junkies, criminals and low-lifes, or collectively known as "Democrats".

Once understood that these Orwellian vermin have hijacked yet another set of words and twisted them in the usual demonic and self-serving ways, then I suppose that their deception, in some circles is seen as "truth".

The DNC was dumping cash into the Libertarian Party during that cycle, until their polling showed that Johnson was skimming far more Democrat votes than Republican votes. Then they closed the taps.

I have known Bobby Kennedy Jr. for decades. We were friends. I loved his politics. His speeches inspired me. We were neighbors. Our kids were friends. We carpooled the kids to school for a few years.

Now, in 2024 at 70 years old, with the window of opportunity for his presidential aspirations closing, Bobby decides it's now or never. He takes some conspiratorial positions on COVID, vaccinations and Dr. Fauci which tapped into MAGA's frustration and anger with the pandemic, the economy, establishment politics, and the white majority sunsetting into the minority... which leads him to get into bed with Roger Stone, Mike Flynn, Steve Bannon... and ultimately Trump.

212 Billy Baldwin @BillyBaldwin Aug 25
At 70 years old, running for President was the desperate move of a man who had presidential ambitions but saw the door rapidly closing on the opportunity for him to hold any political office. It was a Hail Mary. For him to end his pursuit of the presidency and endorse Trump is not only a betrayal of the values and traditions of the Kennedy family but it is also a cynical, hypocritical betrayal of his own political beliefs and personal feelings about Trump which have been publicly documented for years and years.

His endorsement of Trump demonstrates his political cowardice. He has sold his political soul and desecrated the historic work and legacy of his father Robert and his uncle President John Kennedy.

The Kennedy family issued a statement:
"Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story.”

230 212 Billy Baldwin @BillyBaldwin Aug 25

That's where the vote fraud hides.
Not just in those being used to manufacture ballots.
But also, the 100% turnout looks like a high but acceptable 70% if there's an extra 150k phantom voters on the rolls.

Clarke Co. NV removed 102k unconfirmed voters from their rolls; they can't vote absentee.
GA has cleaned up the rolls.
PA can't count absentee ballots without dates or lacking security envelopes
WI can't send absentee ballots to all voters

The last 4 years have *objectively* been the worst 4 years of nominal peace in American history. From hyperinflation to clot shot mandates to the southern invasion to the normalization of child grooming real every day Americans faced one outrage after another.

I missed that but thanks. I did hear RFK's speech when he spoke about Ukraine and some of the history. He was spot on.

One of the major reasons the deep state, aligned politicians on both sides of the aisle and our own oligarchs in private industry hate Trump so much is his unwillingness to go along with the attempted power grab in Eurasia. Ukraine is a key piece of that strategy which is why they worked to pry it out of Russia's orbit with the 2014 coup.

It should come as no surprise that they used Russia as the bad guy to try and take down Trump and Ukraine was the source of much of the dirt on Trump.

🧵Thread🧵
I was struck by the number of dubious statements and flat-out lies at the DNC.

It appears the mainstream media isn’t much interested in them, amid their jubilant, joy-full coverage. So I decided to do some fact-checking, focused on Biden’s speech.

There’s a lot.

1. The first thing that jumped out to me was Trump’s alleged “very fine people on both sides” description of Charlottesville.

Haven’t we been over this, time and again? The context makes clear Trump didn’t mean the neo-Nazis. Even @snopes admitted it!

Yet Biden trotted it out.

2. Biden claimed he and his admin “demonizes no one.”

What, then, about Biden’s remarks about Trump supporters? That they are “determined to destroy democracy,” practitioners of “semi-fascism,” and “a threat to the very soul of this nation.”

Is that not demonizing?

3. Biden said he rebuilt “the middle class.”

He should take that claim up with the middle class, who aren’t exactly thrilled about Bidenomics and its corresponding inflation.

Posted by: andycanuck (c39uV) at August 27, 2024 08:41 AM (c39uV)

321 Drew Holden @DrewHolden360 14h
4. One quote really stopped me cold. Biden said he had created “60 million new jobs.”

Even assuming (charitably) that he meant 16, his numbers are off by a couple million after the Labor Dept corrected their numbers.

And those figures are dubious, @zhalaschak explains:

5. Biden claimed inflation was “down, way down.”

Put simply, this is a bald-faced lie. Inflation may be down since the 40-year record Biden increase it to. But it’s still higher than when Trump left office.

6. Biden claimed seniors would go from paying “$400 a month” for insulin down to $35 a month.

His first number is how much seniors currently pay *per year.* But saying “they’ll save a couple bucks” doesn’t have the same ring to it.

The @nytimes said the claim “needs context”

6. Cont. Apparently that “context” was just “the actual numbers” which Biden had instead made up.

What are we doing here, guys?

This was one of only 5 Biden claims the Times deigned to revisit.

Needless to say, I’ve got more.

Posted by: andycanuck (c39uV) at August 27, 2024 08:41 AM (c39uV)

322 Drew Holden @DrewHolden360 14h
7. Biden claimed he was providing high speed internet for everyone, no matter where they lived.

He isn’t. One in five Americans still lack reliable internet access. Promising to do something—it should go without saying—doesn’t mean doing it.

8. Biden said the U.S. is “cutting carbon emissions in half by 2030.”

Again, you can’t simply say something and have that declaration make it true.

The U.S. is meaningfully off-track from Biden’s goal, before accounting for uptick of EVs and renewable energy lagging.

9. Speaking of EVs, Biden said the U.S. is “installing 500,000 charging stations.”

After 2 years and $7 billion, you know how many are operational?

7. Not 700. Or 7,000. 7. Total.

Again, saying you’re going to do something doesn’t mean it’s done. (H/t @washingtonpost)

10. Biden said his admin “kept our commitment” on student loan debt relief.

Perhaps he forgot what he had promised as a candidate, but the internet is forever. He said he’d deliver $10,000 in debt relief.

That didn’t survive contact with the Constitution.

I suspect the "defectors" from the left aligning themselves with Trump are really just reading the proverbial tea leaves and think this will keep them politically relevant.

I guess it's also possible they've been threatened by the movers and shakers to adopt the mantra the left is now pushing; 'get in line or die.' Maybe they feel a bit uncomfortable with that?

I've always said that the drift into Authoritarianism, Fascism, Totalitarianism, Communism or whatever flavor the left is moving towards would continue apace until certain people were uncomfortable.

I don't think the 'right people' are uncomfortable yet, but we are getting mighty close.

344 Saint of the Day:

St. Monica (322-387 A.D.) was born in Tagaste, North Africa. Early in life she struggled with alcoholism, before overcoming the habit. She was later given in marriage to an ill-tempered and adulterous pagan Roman official. She suffered greatly on account of her husband, and that of her unkind mother-in-law , and she fervently prayed for their conversion. Her patience and kindness became a source of encouragement to other unhappy housewives. Monica had 3 children, and she was grieved that her husband would not allow them to be baptized. Her eldest son, Augustine, was a wayward child and she prayed fervently for decades for him to become a Christian. Through her prayer, her husband was converted shortly before his death. When Augustine became entrenched in heretical sects. Monica befriended the Bishop of Milan, who consoled her by saying, "The child of those tears shall never perish." Augustine was eventually brought into the Church by St. Ambrose. Everything we know of St. Monica's heroic virtue is from her son, who became St. Augustine. St. Monica is patron of housewives, difficult marriages, alcoholism, mothers, widows, and disappointing children.

What I have taken to calling the "Convergence Era" is drawing to a close. Ever since the fall of the USSR, the parties have been converging on policy and practice. There's no daylight between the "two parties'" positions on major, fundamental things.
Trade? The same.
War? The same.
State power? The same.
Industrial policy? Mostly the same.
Immigration? The same.
Education? Mostly the same (more because the GOP just doesn't care).

The only major distinction left is on finance. Borrow or tax.

The convergence is more or less complete, which means a deconvergence is pending. It could take many forms from political reform to actual revolution, but it will happen because it has to. Single-Party systems don't work. They can't adapt.

Can't be done. Trust takes a lifetime to build and a moment to destroy.

I favor something like this, but to "restore trust" is impossible unless it means "destroy and/or replace the system." The "public health" apparatus needs to be fully dismantled and rebuilt with new people - and the people who done did what they did need to be in prison - if "restoring trust" is to be possible. Trust cannot be "restored," but it likely *could* be rebuilt from scratch.

Everyone at GS-13 or higher, including the SES.

The rank and file will fall into line. If they don't the new bosses just taking a ruthless approach to insubordination will deal with the problem quickly. The rank and file won't like it - Hammond Egger doesn't actually exist - but they'll comply with it to keep the paycheck and the pension. Probably 5% or less will have to be fired for stepping off the path before the rest get the message.

But to get those terminations for cause, the entire management and executive rank needs to be turned over.

367 There's an old saying that personnel is policy. The converse is also true, policy is personnel. The problem with going into the swamp and trying to pick off people one by one is that it would take forever and many are basically untouchable, they won't leave unless they want to leave. And they often get replaced by people with the same goals.

A better strategy is to go after the policy and make it unattractive for those who don't believe in it to stay. The policy of the American empire is overseas expansion by any means necessary. That is the defining characteristic of our deep state and the politicians and oligarchs who support it. New territory, new markets, new conflicts.

Nationalism, America First, using our own resources and developing our own assets is the opposite of imperial expansion. That's why they hate Trump. He is opposed to the globalist expansion, bullshit like global warming and open borders.

Embed the policy. Make it the mission and bring in the right people to lead each part of that mission. It will then be much easier to get rid of those who don't go along.

The interesting thing is that RFK is NOT going against his past interests and principles.

I don't recall his family denouncing him over all the many years he has railed against Bill Gates, Fauci, and their vaccine testing in 3rd world countries. They didn't disown him for that, they didn't put out joint statements about him betraying the family values.

He didn't change all that much, he just sided with the non-Democrat candidate.

408 JFK and RFK were big supporters of civil rights. That was contrary to what almost all Democrats and their party supported at the time. In fact some speculate it is what got them murdered. They also were believers in lower taxes, a strong military and The Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment.

People forget they actually had wanted posters of JFK plastered all over the place in Dallas the day he was assassinated. There were also a lot of ugly people mad at RFK for his support of the civil rights act.

Democrats have successfully co-opted Republicans early support for the Civil Rights Act, which was a continuation of Lincoln’s legacy, and falsely turned it into something they always supported and authored. But history shows not only isn’t that true, but they used the Kennedy’s popularity to help peddle that lie.

Today’s Kennedy clan are largely nothing but a bunch of useful Democrat Party idiots. Conversely the true passion that both JFK and RFK possessed is seen in the spirit of RFK jr, and it’s genuine. I may not agree with many things he has said or believes. But his concerns about our children isn’t one of them.

Well sure. They are trying to not only elicit support from other globalists who were the Republican cover along with justifying their own actions as the real defenders of the Republican cause.

Look at Biden. He was always an idiot but during his time in the Senate he was a fairly moderate traditional Democrat. Once he teamed up with Obama he still claimed to be a Democrat but he started supporting policies that bore no resemblance to his years in the Senate.

Where we are today is not where we were in the 70s or 80s. The party names are meaningless. MAGA is nationalist, the other side is globalist. That's the fight.

The "Joe" becoming "Joy" cartoon is the best of the bunch. I don't think the illustrator understands what he's implying with that: "Joe is misery."

I won't even direct it specifically to the 19th Amendment (which is another clear discussion), but this sums up so much so well.

The movement of abortion back to the states was the biggest pro-citizen action in regards to freedom that has occurred in decades.

Women don't understand it, actively hate it, hate people who DO understand it, and demand that the feds pass a law requiring everyone everywhere abide by their wishes that they can freely and entirely implement at the highest levels in their own states
