Robert F. Kennedy Jr: "MAGA" Isn't About Racism. It's About Bringing Vitality Back to America.

Hi everyone.

Some of you did not believe this day would come, but Sh3lving Phas3 Thr33 is now compl3t3d. Ch3ck!

It just took planning, hard work, and hiring a guy off Taskrabbit with an impact driver.

That was the problem. My drill just didn't have the power. I was going to buy one but then thought, damn, it's Sunday and the drill won't get here for two days, let me just hire someone who knows which way "forward" is.

I am relieved it's finally done.

Hope you are all having days as good as mine.

While Democrats continue pretending that going back to the politics and prosperity of the "Dark Ages" -- 1983-1995, or the "New Dark Ages" of 2017-2021 -- RFKJr. finds "MAGA" to be about hope and growth.

The phrase has troubled liberals who think it is a call for a return to an America before civil rights, gay rights, and women's rights. But I have a more generous interpretation, one that is truer to my experience of Donald Trump as he is today. "Make America Great Again" recalls a nation brimming with vitality, with a can-do spirit, with hope and a belief in itself. It was an America that was beginning to confront its darker shadows, could acknowledge the injustice in its past and present, yet at the same time could celebrate its successes. It was a nation of broad prosperity, the world's most vibrant middle class, and a[n] idealistic belief (though not consistently applied) in freedom, justice, and democracy. It was a nation that led the world in innovation, productivity, and technology. And it was the healthiest country in the world. I have talked to many Trump supporters. I have talked with his inner circle. I have talked to the man himself. This is the America they want to restore.

Keith Olbermann @KeithOlbermann Aug 23

To my old friend @RobertKennedyJr:
You're a fucking anti-American disaster

LOL, Keith has a lot of imaginary "old friends." He means people he saw in a green room once.

Rob Reiner @robreiner

I've known Bobby Kennedy for quite a while. Something has happened to him. Maybe it's the worm that got into his brain, but saying Trump will protect your freedoms and keep America from becoming a totalitarian state, he's out of his fucking mind.

The useless Bitter Clingers of the Kennedy clan -- those without ambition or prospects, so they cling bitterly to their mistresses and pill addictions -- of course are denouncing a family member for... murder?

Nah, they've shrugged off murders before. Michael Skakel is still a Kennedy in good standing.

Manslaughter? Nah, no big deal. You can't prove Teddy Kennedy was drunk when he drove off that bridge. And sure, the fact that he went missing for a day might suggest he just wanted to process the alcohol out of his system, but you can't prove that. Or prove that Mary Jo Kopechne was still alive when Ted Kennedy callously abandoned her to her shallow grave of water.

Adultery? Trading women like pimps? LOL.

But endorsing a Republican is a True Sin.

Multiple members of the Kennedy family denounced Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s decision to endorse former President Donald Trump, calling the move a "betrayal."

"We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride," said a statement signed by five of the former independent presidential candidate's siblings.

"We believe in Harris and Walz," the statement continued. "Our brother Bobby's decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story."
RFK Jr. suspends presidential campaign and endorses Donald Trump
02:00

The statement includes signatures from Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Courtney Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy, Chris Kennedy and Rory Kennedy.

Joe Kennedy III, a grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, reacted to the statement, sharing it on X and writing that it was "well said."

Separately, the former candidate's cousin Jack Schlossberg said that he has "never been less surprised in my life."

"Been saying it for over a year -- RFKjr is for sale, works for Trump. Bedfellows and loving it," he posted to X. "Kamala Harris is for the people -- the easiest decision of all time just got easier."

Ugh, look at these ugly people. Ticks on the belly of society.

This was when Joe Biden was still a candidate:

I know that's Saruman and he isn't speaking of the Kennedy clan, but he is still a wise man, and his words are as meaningful now as they were when they were first said in the Third Age.

who wants his endorsement? He set the blueprint for election lies, and we are dealing with his SCOTUS. He picked Roberts and Alito. He defamed Al Gore. What I want from him is an apology.

Republicans hate the bush's. I'm not sure it'd help at all. He left office as one of the least popular presidents ever.

74 JFK's slogan on the issue of civil rights was "Race has no place in American life or law." Probably written by Ted Sorenson his speechwriter or Harris Wofford, his White House political operative on civil rights. Jack himself didn't give a sh!t.
Last week, if you tried to add a plank to the Dem Platform: RESOLVED, that race has no place in American life or law, you would be given the bum's rush faster than a Kennedy running rum.

88 44 This is very interesting. There's been debate and disagreement on this site over how much of an impact RFK endorsing Trump will be. I'm not sure myself.

But then I see nervous Democraps running to the cameras to denounce RFK and assure voters that Biden (LOL) is still the Approved Candidate. This strongly suggests they think RFK's endorsement will have a real impact favoring Trump. Democraps always squeal the loudest when you're hitting the target.

Democraps seem worried about RFK's endorsement. Probably they have reason to be.

Idk about the everyday person but it's kind of unfathomable that someone in the upper echelons of not just society, but the democrat party, decides to leave the plantation so vocally.

One thing they're probably scared of? What if RFK paves the way for another high-profile defection? Not of a political dynasty or anything, but a major celeb or someone the dems were banking on as one of their own.

I think people make too much of the "they show you who they fear" line of thinking.

Democrats attack everyone not of the body. Think Cornel West is going to take a lot of votes? More than Kanye in 2020? They're still trying to remove him from every ballot.

They have a lot of money and a cult-like mentality deep enough that they can attack anyone at any time for the least amount of badthink. I don't imagine is more than that.

We have no functional president, and a bunch of Obama Marxist puppets running the show . The ten weeks until the election will be dangerous. If Trump wins the ten weeks till inauguration may be worse as you could see a lot of leftists go scorched Earth.

I think Michael Skakel was the murderer. Reminds me of a joke:
A married woman is having an affair. Whenever her lover comes over, she puts her nine year old son in the closet.
One day the woman hears a car in the driveway and puts her lover in the closet, as well.
Inside the closet, the little boy says, "It's dark in here, isn't it?"
"Yes it is," the man replies.
"You wanna buy a baseball?" the little boy asks.
"No thanks," the man replies.
"I think you do want to buy a baseball," the little extortionist continues.
"OK. How much?" the man replies after considering the position he was in.
"Twenty-five dollars," the little boy replies.
"TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?!" the man repeats. "That's awful expensive", but because of the position he was in, agreed to the price.
The following week, the lover is visiting the woman again when she hears a car in the driveway and, again, places her lover in the closet with her little boy.
"It's dark in here, isn't it?" the boy starts off.
"Yes it is," replies the man.
"Wanna buy a baseball glove?" the little boy asks.

"Fifty dollars," the boy replies and the transaction is completed.
The next weekend, the little boy's father says, "Hey, son. Go get your ball and glove and we'll play some catch."
"I can't. I sold them," replies the little boy.
"How much did you get for them?" asks the father, expecting to hear the profit in terms of lizards and candy.
"Seventy-five dollars," the little boy says.
"SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?! That's thievery! I'm taking you to the church right now. You must confess your sin and ask for forgiveness,"
the father explains as he hauls the child away.
At the church, the little boy goes into the confessional, draws the curtain, sits down, and says "It's dark in here, isn't it?"
"Don't you start that crap in here," the priest says.

Politics is the art of the possible. Social Security will remain an issue for those that now depend on it and that is the most easily fixed of all our fiscal problems by raising the age to get it and perhaps increasing the tax a bit more on individuals.

Medicare and Medicaid along with general welfare spending is what is driving the train. Medicare can technically be fixed but it will require something like an equivalent tax on employment to social security. Medicaid is pure welfare and the easiest way to trim that is to repeal a right to be treated for non citizens in emergency rooms or by doctors.

I saw a joke posted this weekend, I think I can improve on the version I saw:

A man breaks out of prison, as he's making his way to freedom he comes upon a lonely house on the road. He breaks in, finds a young couple in bed.

Being a big scary convict, once the husband and wife wake up, they realize their lives are in danger. The husband starts to say, "Honey, I think this man means to rape you. I can tell by his clothing he's an escaped convict, so it's probably been building up for some time. I'm sure he means to ravage you in the most savage way possible, and I want you to not just lay there and take it, but give him all the pleasure you've given me. I know you don't want to, but you must. Our lives depend on it."

Just then, the convict goes over to the wife, and is seen kissing her on the neck. He then retreats into the bathroom. The husband again says, "See honey? He's a sex maniac, and he is going to rape you all night. That kiss was just the beginning. You must give him the best sex he's ever had, or we die!"

To which the wife replies...

He's mentioning some 60% of children with issues - never saw that before. If true - damn straight something needs to be done about that.

250 Werner is happy that Ace's shelves have entered upon their intended purpose, yet there is also despair. Would that it were possible for the lens of my camera to capture this heroic endeavor, not least since I had selected a awesome bitchin' title: Ewok Undaunted -The Enshelfining. It sings, does it not? And the merchandising, Lucas would look upon it and despair. He would contemplate some type of legal remedy before realizing that he had opened the door to Kathleen Kennedy, she who has become Ick, the Destroyer of Franchises. Lucas would withdraw into a melancholy solitude while the Ewok and I chortled with glee.

Werner must now return the Krampus costume as well as the Lilac Point Siamese, the estimable Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, both specially precured for the documentary that shall not be. This is despair, but such is an old friend, reminding you that it can get worse. And then, of course it does, and you chide yourself for falling for it. Despair is the Victor Davis Hanson of emotions, a refined cruelty that is usually only found in European Hostels or an Amway Convention. Werner shall seek to fortify himself with a determined will. And cognac. Much cognac. Ach.

His brother Eric was introduced to Epstein through Harvard when Harvard was wining and dining Epstein. Eric said he's met many hedgefund managers, since he is a mathematician and some of his work is interesting to them, and knew out of the gate that Epstein wasn't what he claimed to be.

Since about the 1970's, the correlation between a faculty member's placement and their actual worth is probably negative. Seen plenty of dolts in high academic placement due to connections and plenty of hard working genius level types at small private colleges and the like. Even a lot of the prime STEM schools have been affected by this bullshit.

Basically, we have overproduced 'elites' in this society and granted far too many of them high places of honor as sort of a pseudo aristocracy of 'merit'.

So Weinstein may or may not be a force to be reckoned with based on his research; that says nothing about whether his experiences in academia and society are not worth listening too.

398 Research in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin revealed a link between masculine insecurity and support for aggressive political policies, including those endorsed by Trump. The study found that men who feel their masculinity is threatened are more likely to endorse aggressive policies and support leaders like Trump who project a dominant and unyielding persona. This phenomenon is partly explained by the concept of precarious manhood, where men strive to reaffirm their masculinity through aggressive political stances.

Some trolls are actually people with personality and mental disorders that do not take rejection well.

The more sane ones tend toward the drive by crap such as told ya so in the aftermath of the 2020 election but they don't persist. Persistent trolls either fixate on the rejection usually from being banned in "I will show them".

Sometimes they will fixate on a certain person essentially stalking them online. At extremes, even engaging in criminal activity to do it IRL.

One guy that appears here now and again trolls Sarah Hoyt here and at Insty on occasion after being told off and banned at her blog Fenelon gets that attention from Scoggie Doggie and some other repeatedly banned dude whose nic I forget.

436 Saw a YT vid that said he might have inadvertently turned off the radio guidance system to the destination airport and drifted off course.

Not saying it means anything, but that sounds very similar to the stories they were telling about the pilot of that Malaysian flight that disappeared.

Murder/suicide.

438 Isn't Whitford one of the actors from The West Wing? That show was very leftists wet dream
Posted by: Smell the Glove at August 26, 2024 04:11 PM (aYl1o)

My favorite wet dream movie from that period was the one where the kind leftist president was single, since his wife had died and he was getting involved with a new gal. I bet Hillary loved that angle.

439 Kitty Kitty Bang Bang > Kamala Harris

Kitty Kitty Bang Bang/Toonces 2024!
Posted by: Anna Puma

Werner is torn here. Normally I would counsel against allowing a feline to be in close proximity of the levers of power, but Kitty Kitty Bang Bang would be an awesome Chief Executive. She would brook no disrespect, and all America's enemies would look upon her and despair. Hilary Cllinton would check under her bed every night to assure herself that Kitty is not there. Until the time, of course, that Kitty Kitty Bang Bang was there. Future Franz Franon enthusiasts and Che worshippers would frighten one anither with campfire tales of the Claw Creature that all feared, and who were occasionally required to feed her. The State of the Union Address would be off the charts, beginning with energetic pursuit of a jingling cat toy that the Speaker was required to dangle before her. Then would she appear to bathe herself, but this is a deception, as all would learn too late as she launched herself into the packed audience in the Chamber. Ja, Werner is on board with this. But permit not the Toonces to drive, for that is folly.

440 By the way, dumbass troll, do you know that many proceedings are actually the lowest form of academic publications that exist.

That PNAS refers to a study published in 2017 by a guy at UC Santa Cruz (Heinlein made fun of them in his writings due to their flakiness and general academic quality btw) of "Social Psychological Perspectives on Trump Supporters" by Thomas F. Pettigrew. The actual study is not widely cited and none of the citations actually come from authoritative political science journals.

Where you cribbed this from is probably a MSNBC post which uses some of your quoted material.

You did not care enough to read the primary source and the actual study is behind a paywall that I care not to circumvent to actually read.

But the evidence is that it is a wet squib in academic publishing by a minor lefty lib at a safely lefty lib institution that liked its students going after Jews on behalf of Ham Ass.

Here endeth the lesson.

They found flight simulator plots of him charting a complex course to drop off of radar tracking at his place. The speculation is he cut the cabin air to kill everyone else and climbed high.
