Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | RFK Jr. Is A Dangerous Authoritarian, But Compared To The Rest Of The Kennedy Clan, He Is A Saint! Is there another American family that is as vile, entitled, politically cutthroat, and just all-around disgusting as the Kennedys? Sure, the Clinton Crime Syndicate was in the running, but thankfully there are only three of them, and Chelsea seems to be about as dumb as one can be and still function. Luckily for America, the energies of the Kennedy are largely dissipated...lost in a never-ending cascade of drug overdoses, plane crashes, murders, inbred idiocy, and hopefully an America that is less enamored of the tired but ceaseless references to a mythical Camelot. And mythical it was. JFK was far less impressive than the hagiographic histories would suggest, although anyone who bedding both Marilyn Monroe and Angie Dickinson gets a bit of credit for being an unrepentant rake. His younger brother, while still displaying the typical Kennedy clan entitlement with women, also did a good job as his brother's Attorney General. Was he a sleazy Kennedy? Of course. But he had good political instincts and actually did the job. The youngest brother might have been the worst! Ted Kennedy began by drowning Mary Joe Kopeckne, and continued in that vein for the rest of his career! Fast forward 55 years, and we have the interesting and, frankly delicious scenario of a Democrat party going after a Kennedy hammer and tongs. RFK Jr. is a crank, with insane political views, and a singular dedication to a brand of litigious environmentalism that is successful, and sadly destructive. His scientific acumen is...um...retarded, judging by his belief in the thoroughly debunked vaccine-autism link. He also holds a dim view of quaint freedoms like freedom of speech, and has publicly stated his desire for "Climate Deniers" to be jailed. But all of that is perfectly okay with the Kennedy clan, who have no beliefs other than the insatiable desire for power, prestige, and cold hard cash. And they have been successful acquiring all three, courtesy of the Democrat party. It is only when RFK Jr. attacked the Democrat Party apparatus for doing what they have always done, which is manipulating the political process for its own gain, that he became a pariah.Family means nothing. Loyalty means nothing. Fighting for one's beliefs mean nothing. Support for the Democrat party is the only thing that matters, and anyone who pushes against that monopoly is to be crushed...even if he is named Kennedy! Hopefully RFK Jr. will survive the coming onslaught of Kennedy attacks and the Democrat party sleaze machine long enough to provide Donald Trump with a few votes from the starstruck Kennedy-lovers in America. But mostly I am hoping for casualties. [Crossposted at CutJibNewsletter] Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

conundrum | kəˈnəndrəm | noun (plural conundrums | kəˈnəndrəmz |) a confusing and difficult problem or question: one of the most difficult conundrums for the experts. • a question asked for amusement, typically one with a pun in its answer; a riddle. ORIGIN late 16th century: of unknown origin, but first recorded in a work by Thomas Nashe, as a term of abuse for a crank or pedant, later coming to denote a whim or fancy, also a pun. While I strongly disagree with RFKj's political positions, I applaud his willingness to take a stand. I'm sure he knew what would happen after his speech, but he did it anyway. There are plenty of people with whom I agree politically, but who would blink and skulk away faced with a similar choice.

It is of course the rest of the Kennedy clan who has betrayed their familiy's legacy. Teddy was a pig of course, but his brothers were flawed, but as far out of step with today's Democrat Party as, for example, Tulsi Gabbard.
The bottom line with all of this is, the Democrat Party is as evil an entity as any of us have seen in our lifetimes, and as with all fascist/communist regimes, must be destroyed. I will ally with anyone who is willing to work on that. Posted by: BurtTC at August 25, 2024 12:11 PM (GtZ7X) 21

And he was true to Male Kennedy Family Values, driving his wife to suicide and vacating the conviction of his r@pist -murderer cousin Michael Skakel Did any of these bints pipe up when RFK Jr was advocating for the release of a sex crime murderer? It seems pretty clear from what Kennedy said the other day that he sees his role as working on things like children's health and cleaning up the food supply. I don't have much in common with RFK Jr. but he's largely right on these issues. You win elections by increasing your number of voters. RFK tweet "What "MAGA" really means
The phrase has troubled liberals who think it is a call for a return to an America before civil rights, gay rights, and women's rights. But I have a more generous interpretation, one that is truer to my experience of Donald Trump as he is today. "Make America Great Again" recalls a nation brimming with vitality, with a can-do spirit, with hope and a belief in itself. It was an America that was beginning to confront its darker shadows, could acknowledge the injustice in its past and present, yet at the same time could celebrate its successes. It was a nation of broad prosperity, the world's most vibrant middle class, and a idealistic belief (though not consistently applied) in freedom, justice, and democracy. It was a nation that led the world in innovation, productivity, and technology. And it was the healthiest country in the world. I have talked to many Trump supporters. I have talked with his inner circle. I have talked to the man himself. This is the America they want to restore." Posted by: Nova Local at August 25, 2024 12:14 PM (exHjb) 32

Posted by: Defenestratus at August 25, 2024 12:09 PM (E7J9X) the first thing about being a political leader is how much support can be gathered, and what sort. It is either personal, or organizational. Cornell West has about the same poll numbers as Chase Oliver, and West doesn't have a national movement behind him, but they pull about the same The second is what sort of support. Is it institutional or is it individual, both are important too. A lot of that is who expects to get what out of it. I find it interesting that Kennedy has moved towards "we will destroy those people who are hurting you" in the classic Dem fashion, but that the focus is not institutional racism or income inequality, but being poisoned, starved and mistreated by groups that have captured the administrative state. That is big. Posted by: Kindltot at August 25, 2024 12:16 PM (D7oie) 35

I think the people applauding him see his speech as an inflection point; the start of a preference cascade. The individual policy positions matter less than the willingness to call a spade a spade. And if you listen to RFK (which many people won't, except for out of context lines here or there), his position has always been about CORRELATION, not necessarily causation. There is a CLEAR line of rising rates of various childhood maladies, including autism, AFTER the government and medical industrial complex decided all these fancy new vaccines needed to be added. What we KNOW about vaccines is that they are not panaceas, they don't come without costs, and the number of people who are harmed by vaccines is always a cost/benefit question. Some people will be hurt... are people given a choice as to whether to take them or not, knowing before they do what the risks are? We've blindly trusted the Tony Faucis of this world for too long. Speaking of vaccines and the great Anthony Fauci, I've long been saying here that the most overlooked part of the story is that after 9/11 and the Patriot Act Fauci was put in charge of bioweapons research by the Bush/Cheney administration. Not just research on viruses, bioweapons. That's why he was highest paid civil servant for years, he was doing multiple jobs. It's also why the intel community protected his so fiercely and moved to destroy Trump over the virus. He was one of them.

Getting beyond the fact a notable Democrat now, nominally, backs Trump is the undiscussed treatment by the Democrats that person is on the receiving end of.

Yes. It mostly seems to be a scam run on those desperate for an explanation of the cause of their child's autism.
Posted by: naturalfake at August 25, 2024 12:14 PM (eDfFs) this could be somewhat resolved if there were a review of differences of outcomes between pediatrician practices that had the full spectrum of childhood vaccinations versus the pediatric offices that either did none, or allowed the parents to choose on their own. Or perhaps child outcomes from different countries that have different requirements. I wonder if there are some of those initial studies done, and what they show? Of course such things are not done because we know the science, and we can trust the pharma companies. Posted by: Kindltot at August 25, 2024 12:30 PM (D7oie) 73
>>I also wonder if part of the applause for RFK Jr. had to do with the speech RFK Jr. gave when he dropped out. He gave what I thought was an incredible overview of the war in Ukraine and how much responsibility for the war lies with actions taken by both Obama and Biden.
He publicly said what many of us have been saying here for years about the origin of the Ukraine war including that Obama/Biden ran a coup in Ukraine in 2014 and replaced a duly elected president who had warm ties with Russia and replaced him with a western puppet. He's got a pair, I'll give him credit for that. Posted by: JackStraw at August 25, 2024 12:31 PM (LkLld) 74
IMHO, he could have left that out entirely, and it wouldn't have changed his reception a bit. This isn't about individual issues, it's about a bona fide Democrat with solid gold credentials calling out the party and the press for the bottom feeders they are. That's what will ultimately determine how, or even if, this country survives in a form we'd recognize.

Could I be overly cautious about that? Possibly. But too many decades of BS, press manipulation, criminal shielded privilege, and more by the entire family calls for skepticism.

Everything Kennedy says in that searing assessment is true. He is also right that the media, once thought to hold power to account, have become creatures of the ruling consensus, “stenographers for the organs of power.” Kennedy noted that he and Trump were not in agreement on every issue. But, he said, they were at one about several important policies, including “ending the Forever Wars, ending the childhood disease epidemics, securing the border, protecting freedom of speech, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies, and getting the U.S. intelligence agencies out of the business of propagandizing, censoring, and surveilling Americans, as well as interfering in our elections.” That’s a good bit to be getting on with. https://tinyurl.com/57wrspzx Is there anything in that last paragraph with which most here disagree? For the record, we give too many vaccines to little children. People are too fat because they eat crap food. Big Pharma made out like bandits pushing the jab. And Obamacare incentivized doctors handing out pill and doing sometimes unnecessary surgeries.
But somehow you can't seem to find common ground on that with Kennedy supporters. I assure you, they aren't impressed with you either. But they have been knocking on doors, collecting signatures and doing what they can to get Kennedy on the ballot. They are willing to join forces with Trump. This feel good stuff looks like a step in the other direction. In short, Permanent reduction in government > 4 years of unity. You should listen to what RFK Jr. has been saying. He is as opposed to those groups as much as any red hat wearing MAGA extremist. He absolutely believes the intel community and the deep state were involved with the death of his uncle and father and he's almost unquestionably right. And he's righteously pissed that the deep state controlled by Democrats undermined his campaign and kept him from getting SS protection. 45 Yes I was kind of shocked at the thunderous ovation RFKJ got at the Trump rally. Even Trump was surprised.
I think it's that he was willing to call out by name the media and the Democrats. They've been doing their level best to destroy classic America, and have no qualms about what they have to do to achieve it. RFKj saw this first hand, and called them on it in very specific terms. I think the people applauding him see his speech as an inflection point; the start of a preference cascade. The individual policy positions matter less than the willingness to call a spade a spade. 54 I think it is because he is strong in areas Trump doesn't care about, like food and drug safety, and threats to children.
A lot of hard core Trump supporters are also against eating bugs and forced vaccinations, and Kennedy is a sign that this is also an important element in the campaign. Add to this Vance's background of poverty in the rustbelt, it sounds like a lot of the neglected areas of America are getting some real concern for a change. The Foo Fighters added a keyboardist a few years ago. Rami Jaffee, whose career began with The Wallflowers. After initial successn Jaffee beefed with The Wallflowers front man Jakob Dylan about the direction of the band. "Stadiums! Rock Stars!" said Jaffee. "Eh", said Dylan. After Jaffee sucked up to Grohl enough to be included in the band, sort of, he left The Wallflowers, kinda trashing Dylan on Howard Stern's show. Dylan waited about 5 years, then released a song, under The Wallflowers brand name, called "Roots and Wings". It's the most devastating putdown since "Positively 4th Street". "I'm off the hook, and he's on your chin"...not sure how Jaffee goes our on public afterwards. Anyway, Foo Fighters are lame. Pat Smear's thrilled the checks clear, tnough.

The initial rollout of (a) Polio vaccine was not necessarily trouble free. The difference then Polio was a horrible disease and fairly easy to contract. Parents didn't need to be browbeat into getting it. They wanted it.
I think the problem was initial live-virus versus killed or attenuated viruses. Interestingly enough one of the last places on the planet that has wild Polio virus is Afghanistan. There are all sorts of weird permutations and combinations that I do not claim to understand, but it is possible for someone who has taken the Polio vaccine - depending on the type - to spread it, because in an inoculated or herd immunized society it doesn't matter. Gives me the heebie jeebies to think of millions of unvetted illegal or foreign nationals crossing borders unmonitored. It was clear to any epidemiologist 30 years ago or more the US government had gone insane, from this metric alone. Public health used to be a huge deal. When your response to someone’s argument, is pathos pleas, personal attacks and a parade of tropes, it means you’re over the target.
RFK jr. is, if anything, passionate about the issues in which he is involved. There is a lot of common ground with a fair part of the American electorate, especially Republicans. It’s why he, rightly, received a heroes welcome at the rally. We’ve just been through a period where the CDC, FDA and NIH have throughly proven they are neither subject to the will of the people, experts in the subjects they are meant to be, or honest about any of it. They have become the tools of authoritarians and the industries they are meant to regulate. The figures on Americans health and especially children are the proof. You need to look no further. In addition, it’s about time we worked with people whom we may not always agree with to solve these issues, provided those disagreements are material and substantive. This idea liberals push to shut down the voices of people who oppose them, should define them, not us. I hope trump puts RFK jr in a position to burn the entire establishment that’s killing our children and our families with a flamethrower. Posted by: Marcus T at August 25, 2024 01:41 PM (WT51m) 297

As I recall, both indicated that one particular regimen of treatment (no longer used, I believe) had a nearly 20% greater incidence of the diagnosis in the children produced. And like I said, adults can make their own decisions. We have an epidemic of childhood obesity. We are spending a bunch of money to support low income families. That should not mean soda pop and Lunchables. And Big Mike was a flop at this but kids need to be encouraged to eat better foods. We need exercise in schools again. There's a lot here that we can work with. Calley Means, in the Tucker interview, said they have EOs ready to tackle some of this and make changes.

Posted by: Common Tater at August 25, 2024 01:55 PM I don't recall that happening when I was a kid but it has been over 60 years since I got that vaccine. Kennedy is still on the ballot in 40 out of 50 states. He did NOT drop out of the race. Now, after partnering with Trump, Kennedy is a major target. The empire is deliberately putting him in danger. “ But if you think that RFK Jr's political positions are rational, then have at it.”
I read your post. It’s a diatribe about the Kennedy family. It is argumentum ad innuendo. There isn’t a single factual point about factual things that RFK jr has said or done. It is actually an example of precisely the techniques Democrats use to smear and shut down Republicans. Trump, and many others in the party agree with some things RFK jr has said, and some they don’t. Nothing wrong with that as long as you agree to move along and focus on common ground. I understand Trump has been screwed over every time he trusts someone who leans left, but he has also learned and to believe otherwise is demonstrably wrong. Like it or not, Trump is moving to where the country is, not simply the Republican Party, and by doing that he has grown out coalition. That called vision, and it’s something very few people possess anymore. YMMV. Posted by: Marcus T at August 25, 2024 02:02 PM (RYTCQ) 357
Ah, sorry you missed the thread.
There is such a thing as naturally conferred immunity. Acquiring it via Polio is not a good way to do that. CBD,
Here in the People's Republic, We well understand the Kennedys foibles. But Trump's not bringing him on to run the national budget or Medicare, social security or policy on abortion. He's there to burn down the NIH or CDC or the excessive amount of vaccines, globalists, destroy Mr Fauci, nuke the CIA. Kennedy is like one of these college basketball coaches like Rick Pitino. You know you're inheriting a lot of baggage that comes with the individual, but he generally wins a lot of games and that's what's important in the long run. Remember when both parties would have real primaries and let their fringe types like Ron Paul for Rs, or Jesse Jackson for Ds run in the primaries and then often add the key thing that the fringers' supporters liked to the party platform? (usually ignoring it if elected but at least pretending to listen to the people)
This trend we've been on towards "shut up and let us elite folks make all the decisions" sucks and the D party is way worse. The R's have even let their voters select DJT these last 3 presidential elections; but they have also completely undercut voter choices in congressional races.
