Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Feds Admit That the Biden-Harris Miracle Economy Is Actually Terrible as Almost One Million Jobs are "Lost"I put "lost" in quotes because the federal government claimed that 818,000 new jobs were created, but now admits: Nah, we were just fooling, those jobs never existed. How hard they strained to fake the numbers so that Biden could continue insisting we weren't in a recession. If you remember, we did have a quarter of no growth. But "experts" told us there was no recession, because the great jobs numbers indicated a healthy economy. Turns out the great jobs numbers were, get this, fake jobs numbers. So surprising to see fakery from the Democrats and their ideologically-captured "expert" class. The Biden-Harris Miracle Economy is so good that the Fed may have to cut interest rates -- increasing inflation, which is already at economy-killing levels -- to juice it and keep it from falling into recession. That said-- Best Economy In History, Jack! Look it up!

The announcement of a 'cool off' came less than a day before Harris will accept the nomination and amid criticism of the Biden-Harris admin's economic record ++++ Uhhh, no. Where is the outrage from the financial journalists who were lied to over the last four years? We've consistently seen downward revisions the month after the initial unemployment numbers were released. That means that the total downward revision over the last year was at least double that. With no comment from the financial media (CNBC, Bloomberg, Reuters...and probably FOX Business as well).
This is the financial media equivalent of Biden's performance after his last debate with Trump. Total 'surprise' from the MSM that Biden was non compos mentis. Here's a question: what are the chances that this revision would have ever come out if Biden was still the nominee going into November? I'd say zero point zero. Politico: What's Driving Kamala Harris' Surge in the Polls?...In short, she has managed to do something that every candidate can only dream of: appeal to her base without turning off swing voters. (Citing gains over Biden with Dems and Independents)
Intrepid: Biden is a demented vegetable, and no one sane can now deny it. Of course Kamala, with tons of media hype, as a virtual blank slate to much of the public, who at least seems alive and cogent, will poll better than Biden My big question is why is it a dead heat when Trump can't string four coherent words together and Harris can make sense. The only policy I really care apart right off the bat is the policy where the candidate makes sense for four years and promises not to be a dictator. the swing voters myth. 70-80% of the public support progressive positions. That is the "base." Communicating to that base is short-circuited by the sort of "reporting" we see in that article. What is driving Kamala Harris' surge in the polls? Any time I hear someone say I can’t find any employees, I think, then pay more. And if you can’t make a profit with the higher pay, then your business is not sustainable or you have inefficiencies that need to be taken care of. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at August 21, 2024 02:55 PM (Ex5yw) ... **sniff** that's beautiful, man. Some of you 29 year olds may have been aware of the forced kinda-switch to metric and then switch-back when the construction industry hit Carter's doomsday date for metric. Reinforcing bar for concrete (rebar) has always had a numbering system that is roughly the number of 1/8" increments for the diameter of the bar. E.g. a #4 is 1/2" diameter. The rebar manufacturers all pointed out how devastating it would be to have to re-tool to manufacture rebar to the revised millimeter sizes. So the industry did a "soft" metric conversion where they kept all the same dies but changed the mark on the bars to a rounded millimeter rough equivalent. So number 4 became 15, iirc. I actually left the country as this was starting and when I moved back all the metric bar was gone and we're back the right way to number it. I don't know how that happened, but it's nice that we kept our sanity on that one at least. Posted by: TexasDan at August 21, 2024 03:03 PM (z/ifB) 384

It's BS. Yep. It's more accurate to say they don't want to work for certain employers. They might also check to see if they've outsourced their hiring to some "submit your application online" company. I remember a few years ago there was a problem with those companies not actually sending applications through to the hiring company. I am sure I would get used to it reasonably quickly, but man what a pain in the ass it would be. Also, centigrade is stupid because the degree is huge. I get this. You get this. But, overall, this stuff doesn't resonate with the average American. It's way to complicated and requires critical thinking to connect the dots.
We'd be better off just asking people to compare their personal finances of today with four years ago. (groceries, gas, insurance etc.) End of discussion. Posted by: Orson at August 21, 2024 03:28 PM (dIske) Posted by: wth at August 21, 2024 03:28 PM (v0R5T) 560
@453
>>But Kamala is Black and that'll pay for your groceries. That is if people actually blame her and not the amorphous "Federal Government." The story of the black Philly mom crying because she can't make ends meet, she didn't blame Biden or Harris, she blamed The Federal Government which could be those mean and nasty House Republicans standing in the way, in her mind for all we know. Which by the way, those mean old nasty GOP have rubberstamped every budget and CR for the last 3.5 years. Posted by: Thomas Bender at August 21, 2024 03:29 PM (XV/Pl) 561
0-100 in the other scale is pretty human compatible. 0 Fahrenheit is really cold but survivable. 100 Fahrenheit is really hot but survivable. It's about the survivability band for people. It's useful for human shit.

Raising pay is useless if a) Pretty much anyone can do the job roughly as well as anyone else; or b) You don't raise it enough to draw a different, and better, pool of applicants.
a) Is why it doesn't help to raise most minimum wage jobs. The difference between a "poor" employee and a "good" one is minimal. b) Is why raising teacher salaries never helps. For another $5 to $10k a year, you'll get the same Commies, perverts, and Commie perverts you get now. You're just paying them .ore money. Posted by: Wally at August 21, 2024 03:29 PM (hqVaF) 564

Posted by: Emmie at August 21, 2024 03:25 PM (Sf2cq) True. However, lots of Jewish people are concentrated in the Donk hell-hole cities and tend to be unarmed (of course, that applies to all the law-abiding citizens in those places). Wasn't Comrade Kamala just recently talking about ordering firearm confiscations (just the Scary Black Rifles, honest) on "Day One?" Turns out, instead of hiring someone new, or paying them more, they're going to try to fold the position into another role.
Ummm, that's not going to work. No one person could do that job, and now you're going to try to find some other stooge to do that one, and another, at no extra pay? Idiots. Posted by: BurtTC at August 21, 2024 03:12 PM (dGCAG) Pretty typical in corporate. This is how the college raised business guy thinks saves money at the expense of nobody knowing how to get at their files and do their business. But he got a bonus for saving that salary three years ago! In government they do the same thing then hire the retired guy to do the same thing as a consultant at huge increases in money. All this bad news is probably DOCTOR JILL getting her revenge for being pushed out. Or it’s still the plan to end the US economy next year and have Trump take the fall.

Speaking of jobs, just saw a job description that they will not fill. It must be a joke or a put-on to fill it with an H1B.
They want an IT systems engineer to admin and fix ... everything. VMware. Windows. Linux. SQL databases. Network switches and routers. Storage systems. Virtual desktop infrastructure. 24x7 on-call rotation. Public cloud integration and automation. The whole magilla. Stated salary range: $50k - $60k. For perspective, I've seen basically the job several times at various outfits with ranges starting at twice that. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at August 21, 2024 03:26 PM (HnUIn) $50-60K is entry-level code-monkey pay. For everything they say they want, yes, $100-120K is more appropriate. necessary to get jerome powell to cut interest rates and give the economy a sugar high before the election, but probably too late to matter.
i guess moe larry and curley will need to rewrite kommie kammie's acceptance speech. maybe they can blame trump. Posted by: gnats local 678 at August 21, 2024 02:24 --------------- A rate cut now will goose the stock market (the only part of the Biden economy that isn't already in the toilet) a little, but won't do anything for the real economy before the election. Posted by: Bigsmith at August 21, 2024 04:14 PM (1Au9i) 578
They knew about it the whole time, they just needed to lie about it to the public. They had to wait until after Biden had won the nomination saying that he wasn't going to quit the election, they waited until they had a chance to shoot Trump. They waited until all the delegate votes for Biden were given to someone nobody voted for. And then they get around to admitting they lied about how well the economy was doing.
But they must be telling the truth about the wars that weren't happening before they took over. Or the virus and vaccines that we'll all die from if we don't take. They burn all this fossil fuel to travel around saying it destroys the earth, how could they lie??? Posted by: ChrisW at August 21, 2024 07:22 PM (5Nl2J) Processing 0.1, elapsed 0.1061 seconds. |
