I doubt that.

But then, these guys are always announcing "I've finally decided to drop my Republican identification" or "This is the first time I'm declaring for a Democrat." They've been selling nothing but these "nows" and "first times" for the past ten f***ing years.

Is this Kennedy thing real?

He'll be in Phoenix to discuss "the path forward." I assume he won't say, like Kamala Harris would, that the path forward is the path we're already taking, and the key to taking that path is to just keep taking that path.

Kennedy's vice presidential pick, some leftwinger, is raging in anger at the Democrats for blocking their ballot access.

She added: "The extent of the sabotage they have unleashed upon us--it's mind-blowing."

Tean Kamala promises to solve inflation, the border crisis, America's foreign policy, and more. But how do you sell a candidate as Hope and Change when she's been part of the status quo for nearly four years?

The gap that I still see in all these speeches, as good as they were, is that she's in the White House right now. Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years. And for all of the talk about division and the problems in the country and people are hurting, Democrats have mostly controlled this country.
Trump had it for four. The Obamas and Biden had it for the rest of the time. And somehow, it's still all Trump's fault, and somehow she hasn't been at the center of it. So to me, that's still the glaring hole in this campaign that hasn't yet been solved at the convention. How do you explain all of the problems that will be solved by the person who is currently in there for the last three and a half years who is supposed to already be working on solving it?

I've spent a little time in a middle school classroom. A student does not have to be exceptionally bright to sabotage a class. It takes almost no effort to derail learning and a whole lot of constant effort to maintain a productive environment. The student just needs to be bored and also interested in entertaining himself with breaking functional things and frustrating functional processes.

I have a mini PC running Windows 11. At night when I turn it off I disconnect wifi, and then power down the entire rig from the source at the power adapter, which shuts down the monitor, and any peripherals.
I get up next morning boot it all up, and it has widgets displaying telling me the outside temperature, the stock market conditions, local traffic, and some headlines.

The only problem is I haven't connected to the wifi yet.

I connect to wifi internet and nothing changes, all the info is up to date.

My question is, how do the widgets know?

I have a bunch of software engineers that work for me. Those ignorant sons of bitches will randomly change fielded code, push it out without testing, and break shit with no 2nd thoughts.

I pick one every three weeks, make that shit head get admin. certified, then force him/her to be the elevated privileges asshole that has to approve all the other asshole's VM integration in the test sandbox. The instant they eff up, I use my root admin to set the, back as a basic user, and then punish the next asshole in line. It's made a world of difference in their work quality. Especially when they KNOW I'm going to publish the fuck ups on a wall of shame where we murder board the fucked up code, and the dickhead that approved it to go into the VM sandbox.

I lurve being the bad cop at work. It's extremely stress relieving and entertaining as hell.

In grad school at the lab I worked at one of the guys there was the network dude and they were tying all the files onto the server. The IT guy kept adding tons of goofy joke of the day and other info into the login.

I used to only use the server stuff every so often but was tired of the nonsense so I asked him to make a flag so I wouldn't see the nonsense. He added a 'picky mode'.

A few weeks after he put something in there that crashed the login. I was the only person who could log in, and I didn't have the rights to do much. I finally managed to rename a safe exe and put it in the root directory so that it would execute instead of the buggy program and got them running again.

My sister a year older was in a lot of those "influential" clubs (Debate, etc) and put in an application to Harvard. I urged my mom to have her apply to the nearby liberal arts college too.....because Harvard wasn't gonna accept her for Debate club. She didn't get to Harvard.
