This is obvious from the text of the positive reviews. They all use VERY similar if not identical language, and often in ways that don't really apply in context. I have no explanation for this other than they are AI bots or real people who have been given a script.

I usually don't read any reviews before watching a movie. I don't want to pre-judge, and I'm convinced most reviews are bought and paid for anyway. Plus, too many reviews stupidly contain spoilers.

After I watch the movie, I'll then read reviews. I can smell the fake reviews and bots a mile away. Read RT for Dune 2. I thought the movie sucked donkey balls. At best it was mediocre. But read the effusively praising reviews on RT and most are so similar they're almost identical. Yea ok. Pull this leg and I shit on you.

It wasn't a great interview, but I was struck by how down to earth DJT can appear in a non-hostile environment. It wasn't a great interview, but I was struck by how down to earth DJT can appear in a non-hostile environment. What the Vulture article focused on was a small, Sundance movie that wasn't received well upon its festival launch (half of the 13 reviews were negative), followed by a steady effort over time to change that dynamic until it was over 60% positive, at which time it got a distribution deal.

Something like Borderlands, which was such a messed up production that they fired the original director, replaced him with Tim Miller, and then just kind of threw up their hands, got a PG-13 rating, and leaned into Guardians of the Galaxy vibes for trailers was probably just not worth the effort or money anymore.

Also, they might have done it. It was at 0% on opening day. That 10% might be at least partially bought.

Carnegie Deli closed years ago, before Covid. There's a version still operating in Madison Square Garden, but I don't think it's more than just the name. I personally thought Carnegie was way overrated and a lame tourist trap, but that's my opinion of the other famous delis and most restaurants in NYC.

285 Off topic, but getting things together. I am trying something new this year with the kiddo. A hybrid of virtual school and home school. She will log into a (private, not public) virtual school for 1 hour each day with other students in her learning pod with a teacher for rotating lessons. We will then work together on projects and assignments a few more hours each day. If it goes well, next year we will do a virtual classroom 3 hours a day. I won’t do public school and she has some sensory issues where in person private may not be great I don’t want undo the amazing progress we have made. Wish us luck!

We home school, and we are able to enroll ours in band and extracurricular activities. I think that as more people embrace home schooling, an entire ecosystem will build around providing the services you describe.

Rather than kill DoEd, Trump should embrace vouchers or tax credits for home schoolers, which could have the same effect.

Low carb worked better when there were nearly zero low carb options for treats. Now you can buy low carb desserts that are several hundred calories.

My advice is get a food scale and use a calorie tracker app. Eat foods that are not calorie dense and rank high in satiety. Don't eat foods that spike your blood sugar. Get some moderate exercise to level out your mood. Be very careful about how many calories you think you're burning when exercising. I usually only log 45-55% of the calories exercise calorie trackers claim. Drink a good amount of water. Eat a good amount of protein. Keep low calorie snacks with you for when you can't eat at home and you're starting to get ravenous.

I do this with a food scale and Excel. A scale is cheap and makes things a lot easier, and there are websites with pretty comprehensive calorie information. It will always and *only* ever be an estimate, but it's more than good enough.

Oh I can't do strict low carb but it got me back nearly to my fighting weight after medication and not going outside screwed me up in 2020.

Alabama just passed a choice law with an ESA, it doesn’t kick in until next year. It will help with going to the more expensive blend I wanted to start this year. But maybe easing from total homeschool into that will be a better transition anyway. She is on the spectrum, and in a lot of ways very high functioning, but it’s there for sure. We do Girlscouts, too, and luckily our troop is very conservative. They don’t do any of the woke stuff. The cookie sales were hysterical with my little blunt autistic child telling people she doesn’t know which are best “because we don’t really eat cookies. They have a lot of sugar”. 😂
