Here's the full exchange on the insane first question at the #NABJ convention by ABC's Rachel Scott....
Scott: "I want to start by addressing elephant in the room, sir. A lot of people did not think it was appropriate for you to be here today. You have pushed false claims about some of your rivals from Nikki Haley to former President Barack Obama, saying that they were not born in the United States, which is not true. You have told four congresswoman of color who were American citizens to go back to where they came from. You have used words like animal and rabbit to describe black attorneys. You've attacked black journalists, calling them a losers, saying the questions that they asked are, "stupid and racist." You've had dinner with a white supremacist at your Mar-a-Lago resort. So my question, sir, now that you were asking black supporters to vote for you, why should black voters trust you after you have used language like that?
Trump: "Well, of all, I don't think I've ever been asked the question so -- in such a horrible manner, first question. You don't even say hello, how are you? Are you with ABC? Because I think they're a fake news network, a terrible network. And I think it's disgraceful that I came here in good spirit. I love the black population of country. I've done so much for the black population of this country, including employment, including opportunity zones with Senator Tim of South Carolina, which is one of the greatest programs ever for black workers and black entrepreneurs and done so much. And, you know, and I say this -- historically black colleges and universities were out of money. They were stone cold broke, and I saved them. And I gave them long term financing and nobody else was doing it. I think it's a very rude introduction."
Scott: "Excuse me!"
Trump: "I don't know exactly you would do something like that. And let me go a step further. I was invited here and I was told my opponent, whether it was Biden, Kamala, I was told my opponent was going to here. It turned out my opponent isn't here. You invited me under false pretense and then you said you can't do it with Zoom. Well, you know where's Zoom? She's going to do it with Zoom and she's not coming. And then you were half an hour late. Just so we understand, I have too much respect for you to be late. They couldn't get their equipment working or something was wrong."
Scott: "Mr. President, I would love you to answer the question on your rhetoric --"
Trump: "I would I think it's a very nasty question."
Scott: "-- and why you believe that black voters should trust you with another four years."
Trump: "Again why I have answered the question with another. I have been the best president for the black population since Abraham Lincoln. That's my answer. That's my answer."
Scott: "Better than -- better than President Johnson, who signed the Voting Rights Act?"
Trump: "And for you to start off the question and answer period, especially when you're 35 minutes late because you couldn't get your equipment to work in such a hostile manner, I think it's a disgrace. I really do think it's a disgrace."

Trump also pointed out that Kamala Harris has previously identified herself as Indian, until she decided to start pretending to be black.

Speaking of Kamala's "chameleon-like nature," Kamala is now lying about all of her far-left positions.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Kamala Harris is facing the delicate task of calibrating her policy pitch to American voters, a standard task for any White House hopeful but one that comes with additional challenges this year.
First, Harris is running for president while serving under President Joe Biden, meaning she's linked to anything that happened -- or will happen -- on his watch. She inherits accomplishments like limiting the cost of insulin but also the administration's struggle to prevent illegal border crossings.
Second, Harris has baggage from her own failed campaign for president before she became Biden's running mate four years ago. During that Democratic primary, she backed an array of progressive proposals that Republicans have highlighted to paint her as "dangerously liberal."
Harris has already disavowed some of her earlier positions, such as a ban on fracking and support for single-payer healthcare. And she's pledging to keep some of Biden's promises, including no tax increases on anyone making less than $400,000 a year.

Harris is claiming she's better on the border than Trump -- as she simultaneously disowns her role as Border Czar, and instructs her servile Regime Media operatives to deny she was ever Biden's "point person on immigration," as he called it when he announced he was putting her in charge of the border.

CNN's sole Republican commentator Scott Jennings wants to know, if Kamala's so good on the border, why is she running from it?

"I hope they run all their ads on immigration because it will remind the American people every time they turn on their television sets what a complete and utter failure this has all been," he said.
"I mean, if they were so proud of their record, why is [Harris] working so hard to erase all evidence from the internet that she was the border czar?" he added.

Sykes writes in Regime Newsletter "The Atlantic:"

We'll find out soon whether Never Trumpers can truly align around Harris, or if policy-related infighting will get in the way. Some Republicans may sit out the race in a cloud of above-it-all righteous irrelevance. But at least the staunchest members of the movement seem to be cohering around support for Harris. For Never Trumpers who have been in the political wilderness for nearly a decade now, this is not the time to quibble over tax rates, the Green New Deal, fracking, or pronouns.

But in the clips I've seen from later in the event, Trump had won over some portion of the crowd with his humor and standing his ground. I heard quite a few laughs and even some cheers.

That is the real story, which sadly is getting drowned out by this stupid question. Which I think Trump handled very well, btw. The key to victory in front of a hostile crowd is to stand your ground. At least if you do that, some of the crowd will respect you even if they disagree. If you roll over and play dead, none will respect you.

Correct. Trump handled that almost perfectly, and turned the discussion deftly to a fact about Kamala that black voters don't like: that she's not really black, doesn't act or even think she's black, and is only using blacks for political gain.

There are pics out there of Kamala and her family -- including what looks like her own Jamaican father -- where they are dressed up like a Bollywood dance number. Blacks ain't gonna like it. She was raised Indian/Hindu, plain and simple.

I suspect that was a rhetorical question, but the answer is that it's much more politically advantageous to run as a black Democrap than an Indian one.

It'd be interesting to know how Kamala identified herself prior to going into politics. When she was in high school, did she consider herself black? Or Indian? What about college, law school, etc.

I suspect the answer is that she considered herself Indian or at least not black. Why do I say this? Because that entire part of her life has been memory-holed. It's like it didn't exist. I very strongly suspect that's because it wouldn't be helpful to her now.

I am an unemotional stickler for political analysis. Trump could lose this thing but many of the nervous nellie types that blurt out their worries on day to day fluctuations or whatever the story of the day is makes me cranky and contrarian.

Trump has a definite hard ceiling of support which is probably at 50-51 percent of the vote. Depending on RFK's ability to get on the ballot, Trump may be in the high 40's. Kamala has the burden of the Biden administration but also has the power of urban fraud machines which currently is unknown to us mere plebes. It is also possible that apparent juicing the economy, via a Sept. rate cut and jiggering the GDP, employment, keeping gas from spiking, and other stats might cause people to evaluate the economy more favorably.

So, Kamala is working from about a 43 percent hard base or so and has an upside ceiling probably comparable to Trump's at 50 or 51 percent. But, what the swing states are is what matters--not votes in California, Oregon, or Washington.

Plus, whether RFK gets on the ballot can make a difference in swing state vote percentages.

A bit is in an no fee index fund and the rest is tied up in relatively safe annuities. Kept the money in an index fund simply as inflation protection.

The production people bobbed the hammer too, I think. The idea was that it should look like a gun an Enforcement agent could draw quickly. I think the grips were specially made too.

In the pilot film Solo uses a bog-standard Luger P.08, though he says it's an "X-38 automatic." The first four shows featured the small Mauser, then they went to the P38. Even when I was eleven, I knew there had been a change of gun.

465 The airshow used to be much lower over Lake Washington and they would close the I 90 floating bridge because people would lose focus of the road and crash in to each other. But now it's much higher altitude.

He merely has to ask people what their neighborhoods look like now compared to what they did under him. That will override whatever scuffle there is over numbers in areas where it will most affect the vote.

When my kids were still at home, they got to watch the Blue Angels practice for almost a week before a big air show that we attended. The airport is really close to our house. They sat in chairs on the front lawn and enjoyed the show.

I was working in Denver at the time. I was very jealous. But I got to see the show.

At the very least, he would have to greatly reduce the strength of the recoil springs. And I can't see how the scope would retain its zero, being slammed around like that. If I were to do that, and did not care about the historical value of the piece, I would weld brackets onto the main frame to support the scope in a fixed position above the slide.
