Senior Hamas Commander Dies of Covid-Related Israeli Airstrike
He died with covid but not of covid.
According to a report by the New York Post, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Tehran early Wednesday. Haniyeh was in Iran to attend the inauguration of the new Iranian president when the airstrike occurred. The Revolutionary Guard confirmed his death but did not provide details on who was responsible or the method of the assassination. Hamas, however, pointed the finger at Israel, stating Haniyeh was killed in a "Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran." In a brief statement, Hamas declared, "Hamas declares to the great Palestinian people and the people of the Arab and Islamic nations and all the free people of the world, brother leader Ismail Haniyeh a martyr." The Revolutionary Guard corroborated that Haniyeh was killed at his Tehran residence, adding that the cause was under investigation. No group has officially claimed responsibility for the assassination. Still, it comes in the wake of Israel's commitment to targeting Hamas leadership following the group's brutal October 7th attack on Israel. This assault resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and the abduction of 250 individuals.Iran claims that Israel's attack on a terrorist child-killer who was hiding in another country so that he did not expose himself to counter-fire was "cowardly." A diversity of definitions of "cowardly" is our strength. Haniyeh is the Austere Religious Scholar who admitted that Hamas deliberately traps civilians near Hamas bases to use their Hamas-caused deaths as propaganda against Israel.
Children die in all wars. Hamas deliberately seeks to maximise civilian death. Even so, civilian casualty rate is extremely low in this conflict.

The fact they even CHECKED what Talcum X said is telling, but they were actually mocking him. For the most part, DU is old white Dems, and they've been pretty supportive of Israel. At worst, they'll say Netanyahu is a bad guy, and there needs to be a ceasefire to help Palestinians resettle, but they don't like Hamas or much of the Hamas-led US protests.
Every thread will have a few activists pop-up to try and denounce Israel, apologize for Hamas, etc, but they get drowned out pretty quickly. They ARE very aware their party has an issue with Muslim voters potentially sitting out, which is why they're happy Kamala is running (and why some are hesitant to endorse Shapiro, even if he helps win PA).

There are some amazing electronic systems inside the F-35 (also known as Fat Amy, so I am told), when they are actually working.
The USAF F-35A's have an availability rate of about 40%.
Their ability to network, have 360 degree situational awareness, the software that helps reduce pilot workload in combat space, to be able to remotely target for other platforms.

I'm no expert but my understanding is that the two craft have different roles. The F-22 is more of a dog-fighter/air dominance platform, while the Lightning is more of a dual air/ground striker. In head to head, the F-22 is superior, I think.

Look at what it does not do.
Protect privacy.
As someone yesterday pointed out, a simple robust privacy bill would kill all social media.
Because their entire business model is harvesting and selling personal information without the users knowledge or consent.
Just a simple opt-in requirement with mandatory disclosure of
what is sold and who buys it would kill them.
It'll never happen, not just because of the millions in bribes, but because the deep state would lose huge power.

I'm no expert but my understanding is that the two craft have different roles. The F-22 is more of a dog-fighter/air dominance platform, while the Lightning is more of a dual air/ground striker. In head to head, the F-22 is superior, I think.

The F-35 (A,B and C) can definitely do "air to air", but not as well as the F-22. The F-22 is faster and more manueverable, but still. The US theory of "air to air" is generally standing off and shooting with longer range missiles (like the AIM-120C). But the Russkies have the R77 hypersonic air-to-air, which has longer range and is MUCH faster.
The F-35 can target (and being stealthy) can get closer to the adversary, while a bigger, heavier F-15, can carry a lot of missiles, ala, the new F-15EX, and do the shooting.
The newest wrinkle is the AIM-174B, which is a Standard SM-6 adapted to be carried by an airplane (like an F-18 or F-15). It has REALLY long range.

It absolutely an electoral move and a sign they are desperate. Shapiro’s election was largely due to a weak opponent who ran a terrible campaign and the overall voter fundamentals in the last election. I don’t think that’s enough to bring Democrats PA in this election. The electorate has changed drastically and a lot of the honest polling reflects that. Republicans have stepped up their GOTV in places like Buck’s County substantially and in PA overall.

Polling at this stage is all about trends. Pick one pollster and keep with that over time. Trying to aggregate them simply makes a statistical mess as you lose the good info by adding bad.
Later in September, you see better polling using likely voters than registered or all individual sampling.
State polls are particularly subject to error and wild swings right now because getting a representative sample is more difficult than a nationwide poll. To get accurate state polls, you have to oversample groups . But cheap media pollsters don't do that. Instead, they use a couple of minority respondents to impute the attitude of the sampling group as a whole. Bad practice and bad results leading to wide swings.

The Presidential favorite son effect has more data to support it than the VP effect.
But even that is more prone to larger issues than a simple effect would imply. It's more an artifact of the time when elections were really won by the strength of party bosses at the state level...when elections were REAL funky.
Heck. Romney arguably had 3 home states, and he lost 2 of them.

It doesn't need to. Redistricting - combining parts of Philly with the suburbs took care of that. Just Delco alone (many blue collar, union) now feeds in huge to the Democratic numbers.

Clamp on ONE rail for a Hellfire Missile to one of the struts n' skid assemblies. Run the interface cable through an open sliding window, to the hand-held Hellfire control and display, operated by the Co-Pilot.
Fly to within 2 miles of the target, FIRE on target, observe and record impact.
Return to base, 10 miles or so. Dismount Hellfire mount, put it along with Hellfire Control & Display into Hilux, and disappear it along the dusty back roads to a designated egress point. Israel picks up the Hellfire gear, which is never seen in Iran, again.

Dem politics is essentially a black box so any guess about specifics involves information we are not privvy to including very expensive private polling in states and vast background checks looking for landmines to prevent the Eagleton or Quayle problem.
Then, there is the individual politician's decision whether or not to be anointed VP. A lot of that calculus depends on whether the pol thinks it is a promotion to future and better things or a dead end job.

I am simply predicting based on public information about the importance of PA to the Dem path. As I mention earlier, picking Shapiro might also excuse abnormal voting patterns in PA as a supposed VP effect. Political research literature indicates little state effect in modern elections for VP and some for President (probably a selection bias problem as a person has to be thought well enough by their home state to get to Presidential nominee in the first place).

Might want to take a look now at the formal Georgia Election Board findings now of the 2020 election in Fulton County. It specifically includes that the two pollworkers in Fulton caught on screen running voters through the scanners were in fact scanning the same ballots multiple times. Roughly 300k votes have no image, 150 k votes have no valid signature as well.
Multiply this in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Detroit, Phoenix, etc.
