Good Morning Kids. So the Obama's have now officially endorsed Kamala. I assume this means she's either agreed to become their puppet or else her staff is now comprised mostly of Obama loyalists, and not Clintonistas, nor Klainsmen. Or is there something else going on since this endorsement flies in the face (pun intended as you'll recall Obama's face being a fly magnet) of reports that Obama fears or feared Trump wiping the floor with her.

Whatever's going on, I think it's a fair bet that there is still quite a bit of Machiavellian maneuvering behind the scenes of Dems sensing an opportunity to get a shot at the top slot. Despite the propaganda hype machine going into overdrive, she has never been all that popular with most rank and file lefties. She had the correct melanin and was an anatomically correct female. Right now, her polling against Trump is not good.

SO the messaging is she's a prosecutor and Trump a convicted felon. Not mentioned is the fact that the cases against Trump are spurious. And his conviction in that E Jean Carrol debasement of justice was not for rape but for defamation. Because he had the audacity to accurately call her a liar in public. And her record as a prosecutor includes incarcerating black men on dubious grounds while setting violent hardened criminals loose.

She did such a great job as Border Czar that now the propagandists are in overdrive with the lie that she was merely a point person. As if that matters with over 8 million illegal alien foreigners now on our soil, likely forever. In her defense, her job was merely as window dressing to pretend the junta was doing something to seal the border as opposed to actively working to erase it.

Her Jew-hatred, as was on full display with her remarks to Israeli PM Netanyahu as well as her refusal to condemn the violent protests just outside the White House grounds and all over DC, as well as her equivocation between Israel and the terrorists who attacked her on 10/7 and those who continue to cheer that on.

No way she picks Josh Shapiro as veep, lest she lose the Jew-hating base of the Democrat Party. And what kind of Jew is Shapiro for not even acknowledging this let alone continue to be in that party. He's an apostate leftist, that's what kind of Jew.

It's hilarious that Kamala is trying to push the narrative that Donald Trump is backpedalling when he very quickly made it clear he wants to debate her. What Kamala doesn't want to do, clearly, is debate Trump more than just the one time Trump already did with Joe Biden. Personally, I don't think she want to debate Trump, but she can't back out of the September 10 debate without looking like she's retreating, and by agreeing to that she can claim she's just fulfilling what the campaign previously promised. But make no mistake, she doesn't want to debate Trump -- and she doesn't want to be in a position where she refuses to debate him either. So, acting like the September 10 debate was agreed to between the Trump and Harris campaigns rather than the Trump and Biden campaigns is her best play.

1:Kamala Harris is a brilliant prosecutor and a natural leader who is the best choice to lead this country for the next 8 years.

The X left/MSM are touting the ones showing Harris with a small lead, but these are the same pills that showed Biden tied. Also sample sizes are suspect for some. For example the YouGov poll is D+9.

You also have Rasmussen and Basham dropping Trump +7 and +8 polls.

Overall, this is likely response bias, much like polling after Romney beat Obama in the first debate. This is the best polling Harris will get, and she gains about 1 point on average against Trump, turning a 3 point Trump lead into 2 points. Recall in 2020 the offical results were Biden +3 and he only squeaked out a 40K win in 6 battlegrounds, despite all the cheating.

Harris does better with core Dem voters, they move out of the undecided camp, but Trump's ceiling also increases, and with leaners moves from 51ish to 53ish in head to head.

Harris does better with young, but at the cost of support with seniors. It is a wash and seniors are higher propensity voters. Also the devastating cross tab is her result with white non college, which is worse than Biden.

65 Bottom line is she gets more support in blue areas and does shore up weaknesses in places like Virginia and New Hampshire. Her vote share in California and New York will increase. But at the cost of the rust belt states. She won't do as well as Scranton Joe in Erie and Wayne, key counties that the Dems must win to win the rust belt.

So this means from a real vote perspective, Harris is worse off than Biden.

I've seen a couple reports that the Harris strategy will be to write off MI and WI, where public polling shows her losing by 1 or 2, to try to win the Sunbelt. Her plan would be to win Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada. That would put her at 257 EVs. Then if she can get PA, she is at 277. She wouldn't need Nevada, so the key states would be AZ, GA, and PA.

The problem is that Trump leads in those states by a lot. They must be counting on the mother of all drop box stuffing and ballot harvesting, along with a complaint election operations effort in Maricopa and Fulton. Add in illegals voting (which the 9th circuit just made harder in AZ), and they are hoping to recreate the 2020 6 city strategy.

I happened to watch LBJ’s last interview (with Walter Cronkite) yesterday…. Only 10 days before he died in 1973. He was 64 years old and, my word, did he look haggard; more like 85 is what he looked. I’m not quite 64 but close enough…. I don’t think I look that rickety but Vietnam wore him down I guess

392 From out here in the cheap seats however, it sure looks like the Courts, in particular, had the "degradation" part fairly well covered in the 1960s as a result of liberal justices. This was laid out by FDR to some degree, and was rolling along in the 1960s.

A lot of the chaos we are experiencing now is the fruition of stupid rulings set forth back then, and only finally paying off. "One man one vote" effectively killed the states in a lot of ways by reducing the political power to a single large city or region.

The courts killed what was the state equivalent to the electoral college, the Electoral College is next, along with the 2 Senators per state provision of the constitution. Leftists hate that almost as much as the Electoral College.

They've been knocking down all the support beams that make for a functioning society. They aren't about to stop now. If you look forward to beating out your laundry with a stick down by the river, these are the folks for you.

I don't hate Vance at all. Don't know enough about him to know if I think he's a great pick but I don't hate him. What I hate is people holding one office and then spending their time running for a different office. I complained about DeSantis doing it. I complained about all the other Senators doing it. I only added Vance at the end to preempt the question of would I apply that rule to the GOP as well as to the Dems.

I don't think he actively petitioned Trump to be considered. Some people in the party, or in Trump's circle may have considered him a candidate but there's no evidence he was actively campaigning for the slot, at least not that I'm aware of.

I grew up in a military family and around military people I joined at 17. The trend started to come back when we went to war in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Troops, especially SOF were allowed to grow the beards initially as a cultural nod, and later as a means of blending into the landscape. A clean shaven man in some manner of non uniform dress was easily spotted. That eventually carried over to civilian land and became a trend (along with the proliferation of tattoos, I might add). So it came from a masculine place and migrated into the LARPers, posers and femminucia.

Mine wasn't that big and I was fortunate to have a surgeon skilled in Neurosurgery as well as vascular surgery. He is confident that he got virtually 100% of it. Took about 6 hours.

Hopefully the radiation and chemo will keep any regrowth in check for a goo long while. The pathology indicated that the treatment is expected to be quite effective in that regard.

To me shaving your face every day is one of the key standards of serving in the US military army, Marines, Air Force, etc. I find it odd that young people today think facial hair means masculine when for so many decades, we looked up to our military personnel.

I've seen a few troons here, but the majority of those were in their 60s or older.

2.8% GDP growth, 4% unemployment and 3% inflation are, normally, decent re-elect numbers. High prices in food and gas negate some of that. Record high stock market is also a factor. Will be close. VP irrelevant as ever.

I was one of those people in 2016 and I gladly admit I was wrong. I don't get the criticisms of Vance here. Of course he could turn out to be a douche, but I don't see any evidence of that thus far. None at all.

But hey, this is 2024 and the state media spin is all the rage as talking heads declare her to be the second coming! I must admit, it is kind of fun to watch these "journalists" fight back choking or laughing when they make all the Kamala claims. No matter, our side needs to stay on message and go right at her with her record. If they use the women's rights argument, Trump can counter that he understands women, especially single moms he talks to on the campaign trail who can't even afford groceries and gas, much less baby formula, all thanks to that great Biden-Harris economy.
