Tensions escalated when a man attempted to save a burning American flag, resulting in him being pursued by the crowd.

In a dramatic moment, a man ran into the flames to rescue a charred American flag but was chased by the crowd, which shouted, "Get him!" and what sounded like "Get the white guy!"
During another instance of flag burning, protesters were heard shouting "Allahu Akbar" and "F**k the United States" while spraying lighter fluid on the flag.

The crickets are because they are extremely hard to catch once let loose. Then they hide very well. Then they chirp all night long. And the chirping lets everyone staying there "know" that the hotel is dirty, full of bugs and probably other vermin. Possibly the most despicable part of this whole thing. Maggots and mealworms are easily caught and dealt with but if the released enough crickets the hotel may have to call in exterminators.

EXTREMELY loud, and they're about 1/4" to 1/2" long at most, which makes them difficult to hunt down in the house. I used to get them in the house on occasion and it'd take several days to hunt down a single cricket.

The Japanese wanted the spoils of war and TR was not going to give them primacy over China, etc. which was contrary to decades of US foreign policy of the open door. Regarding WWI, people forget that TR was instrumental in defanging one crisis between France and Germany over Algeria via an international conference. As far as WWI, TR was not instrumental in creating that mess but felt letting the Germans win would in effect unbalance the world system by conquest. And in fact, Germany's aggressive behavior was to blame as the von Schiefflen plan specifically called for violating specific German treaty obligations to invade France through Belgium.

The Kaiser was someone who resembled a spoiled child and the Prussian militarists were itching for another war with France for fun and profit because the previous one against a similar idiot emperor Napoleon III went so well.

If the Germans had not invaded Belgium, the Asquith government would have had difficulty in going in with the French.

The crickets are because they are extremely hard to catch once let loose. Then they hide very well. Then they chirp all night long. And the chirping lets everyone staying there "know" that the hotel is dirty, full of bugs and probably other vermin. Possibly the most despicable part of this whole thing. Yup. Even B class you get a good seat selection. If you need to make a connection and be closer to the exit, pay the fee and move up to A class.

Since firm policy is to fly economy now, I'll be setting in the very back in the middle seat with my backpack stuffed under the seat.

Used to not be an issue until the Supreme Court embraced symbolic speech like that as protected under the First Amendment in Tinker v. Des Moines School Dist. Supreme Court continued that idiocy in Texas v. Johnson regarding the flag.

So the end result is we end up with a tragedy of the commons where the increasingly violent 'speech' of protesters protected by their Dem patrons is protected and the right is prosecuted for simply walking into the Capitol Building peacefully.
