The Elites Begin to Starve Middle Class Joe of Campaign Funds

Happy Friday, everyone! As LauraW. used to say, it's F*** It All Friday.

What that means, I don't know.

$90 million already pledged to the biggest pro-Biden SuperPAC has been frozen and will not be given. At least as long as Biden remains the candidate.

NYT:

Some major Democratic donors have told the largest pro-Biden super PAC, Future Forward, that roughly $90 million in pledged donations is now on hold if President Biden remains atop the ticket, according to two people who have been briefed on the conversations.

The frozen contributions include multiple eight-figure commitments, according to the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the situation. The decision to withhold such enormous sums of money is one of the most concrete examples of the fallout from Mr. Biden's poor debate performance at the end of June.

Ed Morrissey's post notes that just three more Democrats have submitted calls for Biden to step aside. That's a win for Scranton Joe -- ABC "News" was talking about 20-25 House Democrats all with press releases ready, all demanding Scranton Joe withdraw, and those were to be released no matter what the outcome of the Big Boy Press Conference.

So maybe his almost-not-a-complete-disaster performance helped him?

Chris Matthews predicts that Biden will stay in the race, because the "poor" and "the blacks" are with him, and he's used to "the elites" denigrating and disrespecting him. He points out Obama's shabby treatment of Biden -- the first time I've heard a lefty acknowledge Obama as an elite and not as an oppressed minority.

He claims that people will rally to Middle Class Joe when they see all these elites picking on him.

Are "the blacks" really with Casually Racist Joe?

Not only is the White House demanding that black radio stations only ask the questions that Biden's staff prepares for them, but they're also demanding these stations edit out his more embarrassing gaffes.

Of course the media bowed to these demands. This was before the media called a Code Red on Middle Class Joe.

Milwaukee-based Civic Media has admitted to editing an interview with President Joe Biden at the behest of his campaign, raising questions about journalistic integrity and media influence in politics. The edits were made to a July 3 interview conducted by host Earl Ingram, which aired the next day following a notably shaky debate performance by Biden.

The two specific edits involved a claim by Biden about the racial diversity of his administration and his reference to Donald Trump's comments regarding the Central Park Five. Specifically, the edits were:

At time 5:20, the removal of "...and in addition to that, I have more Blacks in my administration than any other president, all other presidents combined, and in major positions, cabinet positions."

At time 14:15, in reference to Donald Trump's call for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, the removal of "I don't know if they even call for their hanging or not, but he--but they said [...] convicted of murder."

Civic Media's statement explained that the decision was made in good faith but acknowledged a mistake had been made. "With a high-profile interview comes a listener expectation that journalistic interview standards will be applied, even for non-news programming. We did not meet those expectations. Civic Media disagrees with the team's judgments in the moment, both with respect to the handling of the interview questions and the decision to edit the interview audio," their statement read. The station has decided to make the full, unedited interview available online.

The NYT has another scoop: Crazy conservatives had a "conspiracy theory" that the Democrat Party Elites were scheming to replace Biden.

Although this was a crazy, racist, Without Evidence conspiracy theory, it has somehow "collided with reality" and become correct, even though it was always a crazy and racist conspiracy theory offered Without Evidence.

As Jack Walsh said in Midnight Run: "I don't even know what the f*** this guy's talking about."

2. He is sufficiently conventionally attractive to make some segment of the female population swoon guaranteeing box office.
3. He can act well enough that, put into favorable roles, will at least not hinder box office.

Supposition:

1. Having been an "actor" his whole life, he is sufficiently corrupted to aid the lefty/pervert cabal that runs entertainment.
2. Using his "sufficiently conventionally attractive"-ness, he can bring some number of women into the fold who might be resistant to "the couch".

The people who run the blog have come up with a solution to the Democrats' problem:

2) The Democratic Party should therefore demand that Joe be tested for Parkinson's Disease. Joe will be found to have Parkinson's Disease.

234 The machinations have to be viewed threw the filter of what move benefits which center of gravity in the Democrat constellation.

Start with The House of Biden. Being in place puts him in the strong position, but after Jill, and Hunter his bench is weak.

Then there is Obama. Biden is his Monster that's gotten out of control. He has to find the right time and method to extricate himself from the impending trainwreck.

Hillary is still sitting on the sidelines salivating over what may be her big break FINALLY!

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are eager to maintain what they have and are putting on a precarious balancing act.

Kamela Harris may be the one with the strongest hand. If she likes, all she has to do is wait.

Warner and the Deep State are going to take the path that minimizes damage to their position.

The Cabinet and Staff will play things close until given the signal to jump ship.

China and Ukraine want a return on their investment, as do the donors.

And all Trump has to do is keep out of splatter radius when the feces strikes the fan.

Having so many hidden levers makes the game exponentially treacherous.

The guys at the top are realizing two things right now:
1) Kamala is just as bad a candidate as Joe
2) doing what would be needed to get rid of both of them would start an internal party war that would destroy everything for them.

The best option now for them is just to kick back, let both Joe and Kamala flame out in a Thelma and Louise ending, and start over fresh in 2028.

My Dad also made me wait until my hair was in bad need of a haircut before we went to the barber.

271 Biden delivers strong, insightful performance in closely watched press conference. Biden was asked questions about both the war in Ukraine and the involvement of China. He provided long, complex answers, detailing how China and North Korea were involved in Ukraine and the threat that China represents in the Pacific. His knowledge of the military aspects and economic implications was clear, and he maintains a full grasp on a very complex situation.

In general, he spoke with the kind of authority and broad knowledge that Trump could never match. He also talked about what he still wants to do with such passion and obvious desire that it is clear he has no interest in stepping away from this fight.

There were moments in which he misspoke, and others in which he paused or stumbled, but there were none in which Biden seemed to lose the thread or demonstrate less than authoritative knowledge on a series of complex topics. If anything, his issue was the same as through his career in the White House and Senate: a mind bursting with knowledge and a mouth that sometimes can’t keep up with his desire to share what he knows.

I've thought about that a lot too. It's interesting how in real life the truth often has to be broadcast by many people for a long time before gaining traction. Even then a significant number of people will reject it no matter what.

One of the most mind blowing moments in my memory is after months of "You can't get COVID if you get the clot shot" we were suddenly told that "No one ever claimed the clot shot stops you from getting COVID, it just stops you from getting as sick" and...no one cared.

And all the "safety" measures based on the clot shot stopping the spread of COVID stayed in place.

The truth came out and had no effect on anything.

The problem is that there would not be any consensus candidate to take Shithead's place. So the delegates decide to go off the reservation and not nominate Joe. Who do they nominate? There will be at least six different shitmongers nominated, all depending on which faction that particular delegate is partial to.

They will never reach a consensus because there are at least three candidates -- and their supporters -- who will go to the mat on this. This is their only chance.

Because of her, Clooney has become the front man for a group that can literally move billions of dollars of dark money around the world with little oversight. Not to mention the supposed Trump revenge orgy if he wins is exactly what the commies do to their defeated foes. Case in point is the fate of the Romanovs. The Czar got off light. Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna was murdered by the Bolsheviks by being beaten, thrown down a mine shaft, followed by grenades, and when that didn't kill her and her entourage, the Bolsheviks stuffed the mine shaft with brush and wood to suffocate/burn them all. The bodies were left where they laid for the next 3 months.

No one's going to have any sympathy for this career-long bullying punk.

Mainly, because no one wants a senile retard for Preezy.

513 In Utah, does anyone say "Hold my beer."?

Probably. SLC is less than 50% LDS now. Retirement areas like St George have lots of non-LDS. Park City has a bunch of non-LDS rich people from all over. Even the "good" Mormons are slipping. My sister in law has LDS girlfriends who are dating who tell her that even LDS guys are openly pressuring women for sex. Apparently even bold questions like, "How many dates do I have to take you on before we have sex?" are not uncommon.

I've "dated" some LDS. They are very similar to the Japanese girls in Tokyo when I lived there. Ladies in the street and also in bed . . . in front of the native Japanese guys. But for a gaijin like me who they knew was only there temporarily? They were total freaks. It was never easier to meet girls and have sex than when I lived in Japan.

Sadly, dating is transactional now. Men are realizing lots of women - especially desirable women - are using dates with also-rans for meals but have no intention of pursuing relationships.

That's a slander on BYU kids made by greasy, danger haired U of U landwhales and femboys. I know a LOT of former BYU people (I am one) and combined we know a lot of current BYU people. Everyone I've talked to says it's a myth. Nobody heard a peep about it until suddenly it was everywhere online. Even afterward, nobody knows anyone who knows anyone who did it.

Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at July 12, 2024 01:15 PM (ynpvh)

If you can believe it, I'm actually watching this scenario go down right before my eyes. I know this young couple. They've been dating for just about 4 years. She just graduated college, he has one year remaining.

They'd planned on getting married in the fall of '25, but are moving in together (with 2 more roommates) for this, his last year of college.

They have abstained throughout their time together. But recently I think he started questioning whether it was right to even live together without being married (or, maybe he's starting to wonder if he can continue restraining himself if they're actually living together). So he asked his pastor.

Pastor tossed a wrench. Told them they would not set a good example by doing so - that God would likely be displeased.

So now they want to get married in just a few weeks, but keep it on the down low until they actually have a wedding in the fall of '25. And then reveal their choice to their friends and family at that time.

I'm still processing it . . .

I don't think the GOP is nearly as compliant as it used to be, especially at the state level. Machine GOP states that have been red for decades are another issue, of course.
