I'm posting this picture not to make fun of a plain woman with a weight problem, but to make fun of the Democrat belief that qualifications for a position don't mean anything, that we must always look to Alternative Ways of Thinking or Being.

Americans are increasingly skeptical about the value and cost of college, with most saying they feel the U.S. higher education system is headed in the "wrong direction," according to a new poll.
Overall, only 36% of adults say they have a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in higher education, according to the report released Monday by Gallup and the Lumina Foundation. That confidence level has declined steadily from 57% in 2015.
Some of the same opinions have been reflected in declining enrollment as colleges contend with the effects of the student debt crisis, concerns about the high cost of tuition and political debates over how they teach about race and other topics.
The dimming view of whether college is worth the time and money cuts across all demographics -- including gender, age, political affiliation. Among Republicans, the number of respondents with high confidence in higher education has dropped 36 percentage points over the last decade -- far more than it dropped for Democrats or independents.
"It's so expensive, and I don't think colleges are teaching people what they need to get a job," says Randy Hill, 59, a registered Republican in Connecticut and a driver for a car service. His nephew plans to do a welding apprenticeship after graduating high school. "You graduate out of college, you're up to eyeballs in debt, you can't get a job, then you can't pay it off. What's the point?"

42 I get they are trying to get the young voters to turnout because historically they suck at actually getting out and voting. They only broke 50% voting rates in 2008 when it was cool to vote for the first black guy. But this kind of stuff is ridiculous.

All other ages groups vote at 60+ percent or more with the over 65 crowd consistently voting at rates in excess of 70%.

I'm not a lawyer, but my reading of it was someone related to one of the people involved turned in some ammunition to the police department that they "found" and the police determined it was not related to the case, so it was filed and basically set aside. But the defense argued it was withholding evidence.

when I was in high school I had a 69 Triumph Trophy and my older brother had an AMF era Harley Sportster. The parts falling off my bike were of the finest British quality. Why cities suck:
- Johnson decided to pay people to be poor.
- Poor people decided that it is best to be paid to be poor in a city where they can also do crime.
- whites left cities
- cities realized that their constituency was no longer working class, but more and more was gov. worker and dependent class.
- feds keep bailing out cities that fail, along with grants, subsidies, etc.
- Now feds even supply the poor (immigrants) and criminals too.

Cities now depend on school industry (they love slow and stupid and foreign people since that means more workers and more fed. money), criminal justice system (police, lawyers, courts, and prisons), social services, etc. and a bit of retail.

It is all a giant eco-structure built on the dependent class. That is the modern US city now that the working class and industry have been pushed out by crime and regulations.
