Good morning Horde, boys, girls and everything in between. Before we get to the Prayer Revival just a few housekeeping items to take care of. (Rulz for those of you in Richland Center) 1. This is an open thread, please feel free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate away.
2. Be nice to one another. Let's not stop this thread.
3. Running with sharp objects is highly frowned upon. Run at your own risk.

Thank you Annie for your diligent work being our Prayer Revival Custodian. I would also like to ask for prayers for our local, state and federal officials.
AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List
Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update. Prayer Requests: 5/25 – Tonypete asked for prayers for an elderly neighborhood couple. They are in failing health and abilities. They insist on living independently, yet they can’t do it. Tonypete and his wife are torn between respecting their wishes and privacy, but there are numerous LEO wellness checks each week.
6/8 – Tonypete and R have been subpoenaed to give testimony at the competency hearing in a few weeks, called by the elderly couple’s children. The elderly couple is still fighting against going to an assisted living facility. It’s just a very sad situation. 6/1 – Polliwog the ‘Ette requested prayers for her sister C, who has surgery to remove some ovarian cysts and anything else in there that looked suspicious. Now she has to wait for the pathology report, and recover, which is complicated by her being extremely allergic to “all” opioids. Also, she is the family’s main earner, and her disability will only cover about 40% of what she brings in. 6/1 – Tonypete asked for prayers for his BIL, who is cognitively disabled. He lives alone and normally does pretty well, but recently quit his job, which has led to issues: namely money. Social services are involved, but it isn’t going well. 6/1 – G asked for prayers for healing and strength for Uncle Joe. Joe’s wife of 50 years passed earlier this year, and now Joe is having painful back problems. He is in pain and lost without Sally. 6/5 - Teresa in Fort Worth requested prayers for friends, Chris and Debby, whose 22 year-old son (Jeremy) passed away this week. Jeremy choked on food at his daytime facility. He had Down Syndrome and autism, and was non-verbal. His parents know he is in a better place and finally free of his health issues, but they still could use comfort. 6/7 – Village Idiot’s Apprentice posted that his radiation oncology follow-up went well, and he is cancer free. He will have to do surveillance bloodwork for the rest of his life, but that’s okay! 6/8 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her friend and running mate, P. She has been in the hospital in WI with bleeding ulcers. She is doing better now, but still needs additional healing. Thanks so much. 6/11 – Sponge clarified the prayers needed for his wife, “The First Lady”. She has breast cancer, and the initial prognosis is good, as it is Stage 1 and caught early. It is an aggressive form of cancer, and but it is the most common, so they’re feeling good about her full recovery. They meet with the surgeon next week and will know more after that.
6/20 Update – The meeting with the surgeon was moderately frightening, as she ‘s been declared Stage 1B ,which means it’s a relatively aggressive form and can spread quickly. Her surgery has been scheduled for the end of July, but they don’t know the severity of that surgery yet. There are more tests to do and will meet with the oncologist. Thanks for all the prayers. 6/14 – Perfessor Squirrel requests prayers for his friend from church. Jimmy has been suffering some issues with his lungs and could use prayers for healing. 6/15 – Jewells posted that she has decided to end her cancer treatments. She had 6 months to go on her 2 year palliative care program, but the chemo drug is ruining her quality of life.
6/22 Update – They are going to get a second opinion. She still doesn’t want to do any more chemo, but maybe another doctor can come up with something else. 6/15 – Grumpy and Recalcitrant asked for continued prayers for J.J. Sefton of the Morning Report. He is about to begin chemo and radiation therapy.
6/27 Update – J.J. posted: “On a personal note: for those who have been asking about me, I’m four days into treatment and mercifully not feeling any side effects so far. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.” Grumpy and Recalcitrant sends a big thank you to God for helping to keep J.J. strong at this time, and asks that we all keep J.J. in our prayers as he continues with his chemo and radiation therapy for his cancer. 6/19 – DangerGirl lost the SanityProd requests prayers for her father, who was admitted to the hospital with respiratory issues. He’s been struggling for the past year, on and off, with shortness of breath and could use prayers for both healing and a proper diagnosis. (The doctors can’t figure out what is causing it.) Thank you! 6/22 – Muldoon updated the Horde that the various criminal investigations groups will be searching the week of 6/24. He sent thanks for the previous prayers and words of support. 6/22 – Our country is screwed offered prayers of thanksgiving that their daughter, age 27, battling breast cancer, is on her last chemo treatment. She has tolerated it very well. She still will have surgery in August. 6/22 – Aetius451AD sent thanks to the Horde for the prayers, and thanks to God, for the healing of his dad after a heart attack and surgery. Dad is cleared for normal activity now. 6/22 – Tonypete requested prayers for Sandy, a friend from church who passed suddenly. 6/22 – Gushka asked for prayers for herself and for her husband’s soul. His body was found in the river. He had been missing since 12/8. The coroner is ruling it a suicide. 6/23 – Steck asked for prayers for a former co-worker named Allen. Before Allen was transferred back to his former job, Allen became cold and distant after hearing that Steck is a born again Christian. As a former atheist, Steck’s experience is that there’s often a nearby “support system” of fellow atheists. Please pray hard to bring Jesus into this fine man’s life, and into the lives of those around him and change their hearts as well. 6/25 – TP asked for prayers for JT, who is ill and in need of prayer. 6/25 – Alberta Oil Peon posted that he has a lump of some sort impinging on one of his vocal cords. He is booked for surgery on 7/31. 6/26 – VM requested prayers for 2 co-workers. Mrs. C, who is hospitalized for an unspecified illness. And Mrs L, whose teen daughter is in the hospital for a seizure. For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. If people who be so kind, please say a prayer for my son's university. They are facing financial difficulties and it would really be a shame if they went under as their enrollment has stayed steady and they were founded as "farm school" by a rabbi, and the majority of students are in agricultural or farming/diary/animal science related things. It is a small school and my son was happy there and the professors were good. Thanks.

President and my "boss" vanishing into thin air 2 or 3 times a week for hours. "we went to breakfast". Yeah, now I know you think I'm stupid.
Hiring idiots for more pay than I make who know both Jack and shit about Foundy work. Expecting me to train them.
Wasted 6 years there. Sick of being treated like shit.
Done with it. Now a new target. An AR15 manufacturer about 1/3 mile from my house.
I've got 8 years left until I can take SS and I'm retiring the minute I can.

I don't think that's what's happening. I think we won't know about a switch until it happens. I just can't see the Dems going into November with as fatally compromised a candidate as Biden. It would be electoral seppuku.

God answers all prayers, but he does not always give the answer we want.
I got a new set of glasses this week. My primary reason for getting my eyes checked was that my old pair had those awful "transitions" lenses that essentially cut me off from sunlight - even in a heavy overcast they would tint. I hated it, so even though my eyes had been stable for years, I wanted a new pair.
Turns out, they had deteriorated - go figure! Anyhow, I love how bright the world is! I had a buzz the first day I wore them. Now, however, I'm struggling to see as the change has left the muscles sore and my right eye keeps watering. This is a needed reminder to enjoy my eyesight and not take it for granted.

Hubbymayhem passed all the testing and is now a Wal-Mart truck driver! Thanks to anyone who tossed out a prayer for him. He now has a week off before beginning his "training" when he has another driver riding along making sure he does everything right. Then he is on the road again! We are really happy about this change and have high hopes that it was the right decision.
Today we are flinging fill dirt. It's hot and storms are in the forecast so we got at it early.

There would have to be an open convention and the obvious successor would be Harris, who would be a disaster. But they can't rob America of the First Women of Color President without destroying themelves and they know it. They can't push her to the back of the bus for Newsome or Whitmer.

I don't like it. The yard is a thousand times better now but that is wasted time.
Monday I start really looking. AR place is just one option. I might go make bullets at Extream bullets for a while. Been 20 years since Iv'e had Lead poisoning.
I don't want to have to go back to mechanic'n. It hurts to much on the weekends. Wish my eyes still worked good enough to weld. I could go bury my head under the hood for 8 years.

IMO, absolutely.

Reforger - in my earlier days, even just past the age of 29, I quit several jobs without having one lined up. Some days you wake up and just think "this can't go on." Probably not the biggest-brained thing I've ever done, but somehow I always managed to fall upwards. Best of luck.

Trump was supposed to be broken by being a convicted felon and not only did he refuse to do that, he mocked the justice system and rallied support to his candidacy.
Right now, they are going over all the contingency plans they had in place and so far they can't find the perfect solution that will let the forward march of progress continue unabated.

Good morning all! Goodness I seem to sleep later and later every day! I get a CT scan July 2 and will see the new doctor July 8. I'm scheduled to see my other doctor on July 11 but really don't see the point in seeing him. I'm concerned because despite my efforts I am losing weight, I think pretty rapidly. I've lost 7 pounds since I weighed myself 10 days ago.

So, while the Constitution let's states decide how they select their electors:
1) the inevitable Constitutional claim that the replacement name should appear instead of Biden will fail because the electors will have still been selected and they can cast their vote for the replacement
2) the number of votes they will lose because Biden's name will still be in the ballot will be too significant a hurdle.
But again, think of the bloodbath if Trump had dropped out after the pussy tape-- That's the carnage they're facing replacing Joe.

That hasn't happen and likely won't happen because there is no consensus. Even the most corrupt Dem secretary of state has to have a reason to add one person while keeping another off.
That's the critical hurdle - how they sort through their victim stack and pick a replacement without time for a primary election or even consensus on that. Biden isn't stepping down. Period. Neither is Harris. The only mechanism and a rebellion at the convention and then all bets are off.

Phoenix, George and Puff went up to Texas A&M yesterday to have their hearts examined. Spark's autopsy showed he died of dilated cardiomyopathy, where the heart is enlarged and the walls thin, leading to ventricular failure. The condition is thought to be genetic, so a test of the siblings was essential to determine their health and future.
All three had normal echocardiograms and three-minute EKGs. There is no restrictions on their activities.
We thank Dr. Wassinowski of the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine for including our pups in her study of DCM in Borzoi. And I'd like to thank all of you for your positive thoughts for our youngsters. This has been a stressful two weeks for HM and me.
Cost of the exams for all three: $0.00.

I was pessimistic right after the guilty verdict. But now I’m strangely optimistic…. I don’t see Merchan putting him in jail. They’ve seen the guilty verdict boomerang…. Trump’s fundraising went through the roof and his polls actually improved slightly. They must realize by now their lawfare isn’t working and putting him in prison probably guarantees him a 40 state landslide. I think it’ll be a suspended sentence with probation but nothing particularly onerous that will keep Trump off the campaign trail

I was pessimistic right after the guilty verdict. But now I’m strangely optimistic…. I don’t see Merchan putting him in jail. They’ve seen the guilty verdict boomerang…. Trump’s fundraising went through the roof and his polls actually improved slightly. They must realize by now their lawfare isn’t working and putting him in prison probably guarantees him a 40 state landslide. I think it’ll be a suspended sentence with probation but nothing particularly onerous that will keep Trump off the campaign trail

Big day for me yesterday. Bought a new vehicle.
I haven't been inside a car dealership in over three decades because I loathe and despise them that much. Part of the reason I drove the same Mazda Protege for 24 years.
So after much prayer and study I decided to use a car buying service.
It was a VERY POSITIVE experience.
I'm planning to retire and go into a lifestyle of months long camping trips to see this country slowly at my own pace. After studying It to death I settled on a 2023 4Runner Off Road as my tow vehicle.
In a matter of hours the buyer found me a cream puff at a very good price. Five and a half hours south of me, but that is just further insurance it has no rust.
I pulled out of my driveway at 7:30 in the morning in a very worn out Avalon (for which I received four Benjamins) and pulled in at 111:30 with my new lifestyle. The two men I dealt with at the dealership were friendly and even patiently taught me about four wheel drive.
I'm sure lots of you buy cars more often than you buy shoes, but I don't. I have sensed God's leading through this whole process which has been more than a year. I'm so very thankful.

Burning churches in Spain during its civil war was not an attack on the government. It clearly was an attack on society and this is what enraged the peasants. In Russia the Church was seen as the spiritual arm of the State; hence by attacking the Church there you were going against the Czar and the old order.
