I have a slightly different take on this. This story about modern tech destroying a primitive tribe smacks of the type of snobbish paternalism that also laments how things like electricity and clean water spoil the spirit and culture of naked primitives living under crushing poverty.

The internet does a lot of things. You check your bank account. You book airline tickets and make hotel reservations. You shop. You get directions. You collaborate with colleagues and peers on tasks. You make phone calls. The companies with which you do business use it for intra-company communications, to manage the supply chain, to maintain inventory, etc. Yes, you can even look up porno and radical literature. But that's the internet.
Social media is the all-consuming, attention-span-destroying, norm-shattering, radicalizing walled garden of psychogenic cancer. The internet has its pluses and minuses and can probably be managed. I am increasingly of the opinion that social media cannot be managed. It's simply destructive to the human condition, especially when addiction sets in when young.

I could be wrong but I assume "AI operation" is just another name for "data center." Which is just a big building full of servers and air conditioners. Once it's built, there's not much need for live humans.

"His life is better than mine, because I see it on social media, and now I'm depressed and miserable because my life is awful. These guys never have constipation or water heater failures or a car repair they can't afford." Or the opposite condition of, "nobody ever has anything go right and everyone is miserable and everything is hopeless," depending on which form of delusion you end up accidentally cultivating. Corrosive regardless.
And then the reward system is bizarre, especially for women. "I get sooooo many likes and so many dudes 'sliding into my DMs'" and whatnot and now the self-perceived value is up in the stratosphere, which breeds misery in the real world where the inflation isn't there to anything like the same degree.

We, humans who know better than God, think it will bring peace and progress (because we're such good people), but it will bring more strife (because we're not as good as we imagine).
The Bible says two things about human potential of note.
1. Together we can do "anything".
2. And in the end: if God had not intervened no flesh would be left alive. (Take note, Fauci and Gates)

I used to study culture clash types of events. My favorite study was that of Capt. Cook's first visit to what is now called Hawaii. The natives couldn't believe their eyes, they thought Cook, his ships, his crew were advanced technological beings, even gods. At some point Cook had a death in his crew and asked the king for permission for a Christian burial. The natives discovered that these are mere mortals they bleed and die just like we do. It went poorly following that.

Shaming cultures can work without the need for a lot of laws but at the price of societal constipation. Islam.
Arguably, shaming people like posting bad checks or posting their pix for shoplifting is superior than engaging the legal system. If you want a libertarian society, then you have to have society control miscreants rather than government.
Humans are not blank slates but have a certain amount of 'programming' built in.

Honor/Shame cultures are interesting in that the individual takes a back seat to the culture at large. Being shamed (or perceived as being worthy of shame) does put a damper on a lot of behaviors. But it also prevents a lot of innovation from happening because no one wants to be perceived as "different."
Arguably, shaming people like posting bad checks or posting their pix for shoplifting is superior than engaging the legal system. If you want a libertarian society, then you have to have society control miscreants rather than government.

I am having trouble with this entire story. First of all from what I read this "tribe" had no written language and virtually none of them had contact with anyone from outside their tribe. How the heck did they all learn english/spanish literally overnight?

My thoughts are there were a whole bunch of random white people thrust into this project and they contaminated the sample.

But no matter what, it is all bullshit.
So Bragg's felonies cannot be used to convict Trump because they ALL rest on expired misdemeanors.
