Lambs have a knock-down drag-out headbutt fight.

This female African village walks through a pack of cackling hyenas like it's just another day at the office, which I guess it is.

Timothy Treadwell would be jealous.

I think I've linked this, but this video of a woman teasing her labrador by telling him they're going to the beach is cute.

"He started to feel fear about his own powers."

A cow has taken their soccer ball and won't give it back.

This horse has a firm rule on horsing around, and that rule is You Got Bit.

Duck!

Arachaphobics shouldn't watch this. Interestingly, this woman doesn't speak English, but when they see the spider, she says "Oh f**k, Oh G*d." I guess Spider is the international language.

Fun with a miniboat.

Fun with very mini motorcycles. Sound on for the full effect.

Climbing: The Dream versus The Reality.

It has always been man's highest aspiration to train rats to drive.

Oahu.

Bloodhounds on the moors.

More amazing videos at the link. You have to scroll through them sideways.

I always assist the turtles on the golf course to get to where they are going which is one of the water ponds.

And anyone who does that knows to pick the turtle up at arms length because they will evacuate whatever water they have on or in them.

100 Warai-otoko, bald eagles flap like giant crows, and have very similar proportions. It is hard to see the white heads and tails against the sky if they are far away.

Ravens are stretched, fore and aft, ospreys have extra long wings that are pointed, and turkey buzzards have broader wings at the root, have those pin feather "fingers" and don't flap much.

Birds are interesting, there is not a lot of play in the design above efficient flight, and the shapes that birds have are pretty indicative of how they make a living.

I went alligator snapper turtle hunting with a couple of Coonass boys long ago. They would locate a sunken log where a snapper might be and drag their foot to feel for the shell at the same time determining which way the ridges went so they knew where to grab when they went under to get it.

They talked me into trying to locate one but I chickened out after about 15 seconds. I was designated to help pull it in the boat if we found one, first day nothing . Second day they got I’d guess a150 pound one.

149 Handling turtles, handling penguins. There's a job in the local poultry processing operations called live hang. Guy reaches in, grabs some chickens by the feet and hangs them for the electric shock before they go down the line. Chickens know what's up and get in their last act of defiance which is really messy due to a liquid feed diet.

167 Jharles was the guy who made the GIF contrasting the faked memo with a MS Word document using the default settings, including one long word turning over to the next line when a comma was placed after it that no document typewritten by a secretary would have had happen.

Default: 12pt TNR with the exact same default page borders, etc. and the kerning [space between letters] being the same. Also, with typewriters each character [no matter how wide W or narrow I] takes up the same amount of space; while modern word processors, like true book-level typesetting, have each character take up only as much space as it needs. [The lockdowns wiped out my memory so I can't recall the fancy word for those two spacing types.] The only exception are numeric characters that all equal the width of the font and type size's lower case N [or half an M space!] so that columns of figures will all align on a page e.g. 1111 takes up the same amount of space as 0000.

Clearly not from an ancient TANG typewriter; or from a state-of-the-art Selectric [IIRC] that did have a "type ball" [whatever they were called] that did include the TNR font but cost something like $10,000 -- something massive anyway.

Back around 2005 or so I was hardcore on the lookout for a... ST3 IIRC, then a Brutale, and an Aprilia sport tourer. A Futura I think. I looked and tested and never pulled the trigger, and finally a friend of mine with a race Ducati said "Don't do it, just buy a BMW." So I bought a V-Strom. And it was maybe the best bike I ever owned. I still sort of hate that I got rid of it, but I don't have room for a lot of them and I find it easier to cycle through bikes than cars.

Yes - he never stated it explicitly - Markstein claims that Drake as Number Six was the original conception, but he and McGoohan had a falling-out, and it may be for that reason that the Prisoner's name was obscured. That, or IP reasons, or both.

McGoohan said that he cold-pitched the idea of The Prisoner to Lew Grade at ITC and Grade said, "I don't understand, but give me two seasons."

It did seem a trifle...slap-dash, I agree. The idea that Number Six was his own jailer has a certain novelty to it, but so many people when it aired and those who see it today often didn't or don't get that being the key to the plot.

On the other hand, it does have a very psychadelic aspect to it, and some of the dialogue is clever. Poor Leo McKern nearly had a stroke from the filming of the episode that precedes the finale, and McGoohan and family literally had to go off grid amidst the public outrage over the ending.
