Good morning, kids. Hope you all had a blessed Mmoial Day holiday in remembrance and appreciation for those of our fellow citizens who paid the ultimate price for our nation and freedom. sadly now gone, by all indications on so many levels.

Can it be reborn, if not as it was at least in a way that reinstitute its essence and spirit. Probably not without sacrifices that we can barely imagine even at this point. But the memory of those who laid down their lives for it and for your children and posterity and even our own selves, it must be worth it. The thought of living in a land lorded over by the likes sho have a will to power and lust to destroy us for our beliefs and essence is intolerable to me. Better to die on our feet than exist as slaves on our knees, if even we are permitted that. The nature of Leftism and it's ally in Islam mean exactly that. We must overcome. Somehow, some way.

Death to them both.

The persecutions against Donald Trump is/are the sine qua non of evidence that the principles and concepts that undergirded the founding of this nation have been completely eviscrated. that scum and imbeciles like that of the so-called squad can become elected representatieves I guess is both a flaw in the original system, or else a nature in that we get what we vote for good and hard, or more likely look at our school systems today and you see the same lack of morality and intellect that guides leaders in and out of government in the grinding down of our culture and society into dust.

This must be stopped by any and every means necessary. And because those who lord over us will not go quietly but rather grip the reins and whip even harder means we have our work cut out for us,

30 The Princeton P-Rade, as it is called is not a Memorial Day parade. It is the annual alumni parade through campus, called the "P-Rade" because older marchers sometimes take a leak as they march (and drink more beer). Its a big deal to the alumni.

The intruders were almost certainly not Princeton students, or at least most were not.

I remember challenging a guy in soccer who put the ball in my face. I got carried up to the locker room, dropped on the bench, and abandoned. When I came to I realized I couldn't see worth a damn. Both contacts knocked far off my eyeballs. I spent a few minutes trying to get them back in position. Finally did it walked slowly back to the field where the coach said, "Ready to get back in the game?"

I did but was worthless. The guy who knocked me out went onto a successful 20 plus year career in the NFL as a kicker.

Having been born at UCLA Medical Center (as my father was attending that university) in the early 60's -- had numerous UCLA Basketball "National Championship" pennants on my bedroom wall, and John Wooden was a God.

I remember that even in college, poor Bill Walton used to have to ice his knees for hours after each game. Even though he was more of a hippie back then -- I did appreciate his lust for life and enthusiasm for the sport as both a player and commentator.

125 I've been cooking a lot lately and now whenever I make something I compare it to something pre packaged I have in stock. The last one was prepared retail meatballs and sauce I got from Costco or BJs which I always thought wasn't bad until I pit them against my own.

It's not that they weren't good, it's that they tasted so strongly of chemicals it was unreal. Had the same experience recently with some cold brew coffee I made that compared with some bottled "cold brew" from a pretty reputable brand.

Compared to the real deal, the bottled one tasted like I was drinking a science experiment. Whatever is going on with our food isn't good.

Most of these people don't win with majorities, or don't win at all. People check out, especially at the local level in big places like NYC. Why bother checking in? It's a rigged game. Tons of people - possibly even a majority - know that it's just theater. Why bother participating when nothing ever changes? We have a nicely "managed democracy" where the managers do whatever they please in any case. The vote is symbolic. It's a necessary symbol, but it isn't meaningful in many or most places. The machinery runs on its own and if someone threatens it, they'll just steal an election.

Democracy is flawed. So is every other system. None of those flaws - not of democracy, not of dictatorship, not of monarchy - are necessarily fatal. Few systems devised by man are universally fatal (socialism is a notable exception). The fundamental fatal flaws in all of them ultimately acts as the undoer for all of them: corruption and incompetence. All eventually fall to one or both.

As are we.

Yes there is. It won't happen, but it *could* be done. It would look something like:
1. Identify all non-defense discretionary spending and cut 50% of it.
2. Reduce defense spending by 50% (and surrender the empire to focus solely on domestic defense as a result)
3. Shore up the finance side of Social Security. SS is a huge chunk of the budget, but it's deficits are manageable. Increase the tax cap by 50%, bump the rate by half a point and ruthlessly crack down on SSDI. SS is saved.
4. Contain medical costs. Either fix the medical system (hard) or nationalize the whole thing and cut it down (catastrophic, but easier). Probably double the Medicare tax.

There. Now there's room in the budget to actually retire debt instead of constantly refinancing it. But too many rice bowls would be shattered, and it would likely result in double-digit unemployment and a minimum 20% hit to GDP, perhaps as high as 30% over a few years. And we'd be back on top within 10 years.

But the ruling system might not survive reform like that. So off the cliff we'll go.

We are paying more on interest on the national debt than we spend on the entire US military. And it is only going to continue to get worse as the debt increases by $3 TRILLION every year.

It's pretty much over at this point. Even if we could somehow magically cut all federal spending by 10% we are still fvcked. And it would literally take an act of God for us to cut spending by 10%.

I watched some video on YouTube over the weekend. The head of the ATF testifying in front of some congressional committee…. Some republican brought up this guy in Arkansas that was shot dead by the ATF in his home because he ran afoul of some gun dealing rules…. The bottom line with this guy was his arrogance. And they are using the money to buy real assets which will hold value when the currency fails. The real question is will they be able to retain ownership of those real assets when the currency fails? Deeds and whatnot are unlikely to be very convincing to people who've been trained to ignore little things like property rights, the law, honesty, etc..

I don't know about the total size of total retirement savings, and it's hard to calculate so I'm not going to bother trying right now. But even if the retirement funds that aren't comprised of Social Security or US Treasuries are big enough, they can't seize them.

They could pass an expropriation law and help themselves, of course, but it would be fruitless. Those savings would have no value. Retirement savings are investments and usually not directly convertible to cash. To raise cash, the investment has to be sold. Seizing retirement funds for money doesn't work, because they have to be turned into money. And if that is done en masse, the values all crash. The government would get pennies on the dollar for the holdings. And as an accounting trick to pad the asset base, it's pointless because it solves nothing.

It might help cashflow by giving the government all of your dividends, but that won't last a single quarter after the panic starts.

As a rule, we eat too much. Quality counts for a lot and better choices make for better outcomes, but quantity counts, too.

Junk food is junk and always have been. Government guidelines, however, didn't used to call for half your diet to consist of junk food. That's had a major effect.

After the breakup of Yugoslavia, they called themselves "Macendonia", but Greece was all butt-hurt because they have a northern region called "Macedonia", and there's all sorts of bickering over who has claim to Alexander The Great's legacy and such, so it was called FYROM among NATO countries (Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia).

I read some legal explanation that a second (or object) crime was needed beyond the bookkeeping misdemeanors to presto chango turn this into 34 felonies. The prosecutors haven’t yet ID’d the object crime but hinted it could be a NY election statue or maybe a federal misdemeanor. So Biden’s number 3 at DOJ (yep he left DOJ to prosecute this case) is essentially arguing that 1 misdemeanor + another misdemeanor = 36 felonies. I had the same thought at the time. And Eric Weinstein is a smart guy and I think he's being honest.

So here's what I think bridges the gap between our elites believe the world is going to die/explode/overheat/whatever AND they act as if their use of fossil fuels has no effect...

They believe it is already too late and so none of this actually matters. Remains to be seen. Civil War in a country with nuclear weapons scattered here and there is the stuff of nightmares. Indeed, the breakup of the Soviet Union went relatively peacefully in part because of loose nukes among the various departing components of the Soviet empire.

Both the Roman Republic and in later in the East, Justinian, basically slaughtered many of their elites in order to restore order without a widespread civil war. Stalin did the same to consolidate the Russian Revolution.

We've also just really had all of our suspicions confirmed in the last few years. Add to that how we're the "law and order" side and believe in working within the system - that we now know is infested and incredibly difficult to work inside of because of the infestation.

And we've been shown that unapproved speech and/or protest is not allowed.
