In '17 some of his worst detractors during the campaign did the same and suddenly it was Bestest Friends (McConnell flipped, got Trump's endorsement, the Grahamnesty, etc, etc, etc)

16 Not news, but this is one my schedule for today. I am going to write a letter to the President of the school which my son graduated from and tell him that I liked
the graduation ceremony, was glad there were no protests, that I appreciated the students speaking instead of an "imported" speaker, and that maybe next time in the interest of DEi they could have a white male speak since the majority of their students or pretty close to it ( there may be more women than men) are white males and golly gee, white men are capable of doing good and great things.

Posted by: I am the Shadout Mapes, the Housekeeper at May 23, 2024 06:19 AM (PiwSw)

22 White men are responsible for the bulk of everything good and that people want and need is absolutely forbidden to be noticed, much less discussed.

It's literally the point of DEI.

Wow, indeed!
And I had no idea Kraft was now Mondelez International.
The company has its origins as Kraft Foods Inc., which was founded in Chicago in 1923. The present enterprise was established in 2012 when Kraft Foods was renamed Mondelez and retained its snack food business, while its grocery business was spun off to a new company called Kraft Foods Group. The name is derived from the Latin word mundus ("world") and delez, a fanciful modification of the word "delicious.

That's what they did, ( and that's probably a better way of phrasing it) but since white men seemed to be overlooked I think they should be included too.
This is not just a concern for me. I know somebody who works there ( white male) and has for about 30 years who is somewhat concerned about his job because he yelled at a woman of color because of some stupid decision she made without consulting people in the dept who actually should have the imput. White men are expected to do these things without fanfare or celebration. Matter of fact, if white men CAN'T do these things with apparent ease then they're viewed as failures or less-thans. They're white men so they're capable and it's just a given.

166 Harrison Butker said nothing remotely controversial unless you are a rabid feminist, and woke lunatic without any ability to comprehend obvious truths.

Butker's speech did nothing except challenge the pagan practices of western society.

Pagans often sacrificed their babies to appeal for greater wealth and prosperity to their pagan gods. This is at the root of feminism. Forego having a family in favor of a "career".

Most other leftist movements are rooted similarly. Environmentalists similarly call for humans to sacrifice their children for better weather. Abortionists take feminism even further, sacrificing actual babies for prosperity.

But Christ asked us to do something different, to lay down our own lives in favor of our brother.

I remember when Java was getting all of the Hot & New press in the IT trade magazines and the Charlie level people at JCPenney made the executive decision to abandon all of the years of combine experience of their entire IT staff in C, VB and RPG to use Java.

Problem, the tools, libraries all sucked; Microsoft was trying to take-over that market with J++ (which led to C#) and the entire staff had a cumulative development experience in this language/platform of zero years.

All this while attempting to prevent a Y2K disaster.

233 The biggest political obstacle in Texas is that the Bush Family Machine has still been throwing around lots of money and influence, and the Chamber of Commerce Republicans (who are the same people as the C of C democrats 40 years ago) don't care for actual conservative politics at all. This was what the impeachment fight with Ken Paxton was all about; but Paxton won, and his enemies lost.
On that note, watch - the runoff primary election for Dade Phelan, Speaker of the Texas House and Paxton's most vocal enemy, is in a couple of days. If he loses (and I hope he does!) that will be a huge blow for the GOP-e in Texas. I don't know if a sitting Speaker has ever been tossed out of office by his constituents.

I helped assemble that pier off the coast of Moorehead City, NC in 1993. It's been around a while.
Posted by: Reforger at May 23, 2024 08:18 AM (B705c)

The problem isn't the physical structure of the pier (although it is little more than a glorified fishing dock) The problem is that Biden and Blinken promised No Boots on the Ground in Gaza, so there are no armed personell to defend the offloading point. The IDF offered to secure it, but they didn't want that either. And nobody else will send their troops to Gaza (haven't checked to see whether Iran offered to send troops in to help out Biden.)

so what happens is that loaded trucks are driven off the pier into the hands of local thugs who are waiting for them (Hamas, of course) and everything going through is stolen instantly. And the Biden admin says "too bad so sad, our hands are tied."

281 I was just remarking to a coworker the other day that Lou Reed was a horrible musician. He was also a total piece of shit as a human being, too.

Lou Reed lucked out, big time. There was a moment when anyone who was remotely connected to Andy Warhol was automatically blessed by the A&R men, and everyone in the biz was required to "like" them, on pain of being thought unsophisticated - and Lou Reed was there for that moment.

Absent Warhol, record companies would have sold Lou Reed to a circus before signing him (or the Velvet Underground) to a record deal.

Here are 2 big lies mainstream media has pushed this week:

Red Lobster didn’t go bankrupt because of “endless shrimp”. It went bankrupt b/c a hedge fund bought and sold all its real estate and leased it back at exorbitant prices.

The “unified reich” hoax is just that - a hoax. The actual image is a mock newspaper clipping from the WW1 era.

Did you fall for any of these?

350 Is Oreo About to Be the Next Bud Light?

I doubt it. From the article, Oreo has been radical woke since at least 2020 and has faced zero consequences.

They went all-in supporting BLM in 2020. They have gone all-in supporting PFLAG (Parents, Families, & Friends of Lesbians and Gays network) and gender dysphoria child sexual mutilation since 2021. They have gone all-in supporting porn in libraries and schools. They even support Hamas through their partnership with the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner. And they push for Net Zero policies.

This is basically a microcosm of everything going on in western civilization. Oreo's parent organization is Mondelez International. Mondelez is a member of the WEF. Everything goes back to the WEF and their control over corporations. And the corporations' control over numerous products and businesses.

Oreo has been radical woke for at least 4 years now, with zero consequences. What makes anyone think it will suddenly get the Bud Light treatment? People gave up Bud Light, because they said it was lousy beer. No one will be giving up Oreos.

The parent company that owns Oreo is a member of the WEF. The WEF is demanding these actions from the companies with which they work and the companies then force every business they control to push these things as well.

The WEF and ESG and CRT and all these powerful corporations destroying businesses need to be destroyed. First, people need to realize they are the ones behind it. Instead, people seem to blame the businesses like Oreo and such instead of blaming the corporations and WEF which control them and force them to support radical policies.

As with everything else, they don't care about the product. They are using it only to spread their agenda. If they succeed, great. But instead of being defeated, they started their own company Sunshine Biscuits to go against Nabisco and created the first sandwich cookie, which they named Hydrox.

And Paxton is about to show what real political power is - it's not what you say, it's not even about what you do in office (too much). Yep, I get that. I don't know what the answer is.

But I don't think the answer is to continuously boycott these foreign-controlled American businesses that have no choice in the matter of their policies. They are slaves to the WEF, Vanguard, Blackrock, etc. I don't think the boycotts achieve anything in stopping the agenda. All they do is put formerly good American businesses out of business. Which is what these foreign conglomerates want.

They are really in a no-lose situation. They either get to use the American businesses they control to push their agenda or they get to destroy an American business because Americans boycott it.

WXYZ Detroit (ABC), May 19. 🤷‍

Aside from the messy historical dinner, and the White House fixing FJB's public boo-boos in the official speech prior to posting, most important is this: NAACP dot org: Black American Policy Recommendations for Biden-Harris Administration.

BTW: During the war, Zaluzhnyi (General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, then the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces) became the second most popular person in Ukraine, and some Ukrainian experts suggested that Zaluzhnyi could pose serious competition to Zelensky if he decided to run for office. On February 8, amidst these discussions, Zaluzhnyi was dismissed from his post as Ukraine’s top commander. On May 9, Zelensky appointed him as ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Of course, that's our Z! Note that the Ukrainians are also displeased over the new Ukraine Mobilization Law 'that just went into effect." Why should its conscription age go from 27 to 25 & have penalties for noncompliance? Russia has a lack of administrative workers thanks to war. Z saves those in Ukraine and the US supports them. Not to worry, sooner or later, Z will have the West doing every single thing.

The American soldiers in the Blackhawk wanted to intervene to help, but their orders were to not intervene unless they were shot at themselves.

516 The leftists clamor for "15-minute cities." We had tons of them, once upon a time. But the Leftist aren't interested in helping them out -- because they are mostly in rural flyover America.

Admittedly, these towns were initially destroyed by the Chamber of Commerce Republicans who were clamoring for offshoring manufacturing for the cheap labor: Textiles, lightbulbs, car parts, et al, et al, et al....

But the tree-hugging leftists helped them: Better to destroy the environment ENTIRELY in China and third world countries, than to carefully screw it up here. Shut down mining and steel mills!

And now the open border idiots are helping flood the small rural flyover towns with fentanyl and other drugs.

I recently visited the small town in which I grew up in the rural midwest. You could shop there without leaving town when I was a kid. Now your option is pretty much Dollar General. But it really was a "15-minute city."

The same people who who helped destroy sorts of towns in the Central Valley -- are building their "ideal 15-minute city" in the Central Valley. Why not just help FIX the dead and dying towns with their billions of dollars?

And please don't quote the Insurrection act, since when do Democrats care about laws or the Constitution? What are you going to do write a letter of Reprimand for Joe Biden's permanent record, or put him on double secret probation?
