Gossip Columnist Cindy Adams: Biden Is Already Laying the Groundwork to Back Out of the Debate

She also claims that Trump is reconsidering his agreement to Biden's absurd rules.

I'm filled with messages about a maybe floppola failure.

Mouths kvetch that the debate won't debate.

The Biden v. Trump bout is June 27. Smarmy Stormy's trial gets decided -- guess when?

The earliest ever for a presidential debate.

Joe's counting on cancellation if Trump's found guilty. Reading from the prompter he'll say he can't debate a felon. Slick shtick to reverse his sick poll numbers.

...

Per CNNers, both candidates want out of it. Both sides have second thoughts about agreed to rules.

...

Both camps are having second (third and fourth) thoughts about these agreed to rules.

These are "CNNers" telling her this, so it's very possible that they're claiming Trump is also considering bailing out of the debate to protect Biden, who's the real one trying to weasel out.

She says that we should expect Trump to object to Biden wearing an earpierce for the debate.

Um, YEAH. I certainly would insist upon a "no earpierce" rule. Trump is here to debate Biden, not a six-man remote war room of Obama's top propaganda writers.

In other news:

I can tell it's six months before the election because Biden is draining the Political Petroleum Reserve again.

The Biden administration announced Tuesday that it will be tapping into a gasoline stockpile meant for emergency situations to bring down prices at the pump ahead of the 2024 elections.

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it will be releasing one million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve (NGSR) with the explicit goal of bringing down gas prices. The NGSR was established in the wake of Superstorm Sandy to provide energy supply to the Northeast in the event of emergency or significant disruptions, serving as a de facto extension of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), according to the DOE.

"The Biden-Harris Administration is laser focused on lowering prices at the pump for American families, especially as drivers hit the road for summer driving season," Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said of the releases. "By strategically releasing this reserve in between Memorial Day and July 4th, we are ensuring sufficient supply flows to the tri-state and northeast at a time hardworking Americans need it the most."

Scumbag tyrant.

Meanwhile, Fake Jake Tapper the Democrat Seal-Clapper was "stunned" and "reeling" to learn that an anti-Trump witness could ever commit a crime, or that the Soros DA would ever withhold embarrassing information from their good friends in the media.

The "stunning" admission that Michael Cohen stole from the Trump Organization visibly shocked CNN's Jake Tapper on Monday.

Cohen, the lawyer who made out the $130,000 hush money to former porn actress Stormy Daniels, told defense attorney Todd Blanche that he stole $30,000 from former President Donald Trump's company to get himself bonus money he believed he deserved relating to the reimbursement deal.

"It's fascinating stuff, and I have to say, I'm still kind of reeling from the revelation that Michael Cohen stole money from the Trump Organization and that wasn't, at least to my knowledge, that the prosecution didn't get that out earlier because it's not as though the prosecution is going to be helped by further evidence that Michael Cohen is a shady character ... that was just kind of stunning," Tapper said.

Chief legal analyst Laura Coates expressed surprise that the prosecution did not point to Cohen's admission or his reputation as a liar.

"If they can establish Michael Cohen as somebody who is not to be trusted about the amount of money as well, then they might be able to suggest that Donald Trump had no idea what he was truly paying," Coates said.

...

The same CNN panel said earlier in the segment that Cohen's admission could damage Bragg's case against Trump with "reasonable doubt" given that he stole from Trump and lied about where the funds were being directed to.

"This is a bomb, this is really important. This is a bomb dropped in the middle of the prosecution's case," CNN legal analyst Elie Honig stated. "Two reasons. One, Michael Cohen was stealing from Donald Trump. He was lying to people about what he was doing with money, he pocketed at least the $30,000 by lying to Weisselberg ... $60,000, which by the way, this is crushing to the prosecution's credibility because the prosecution did not ask Michael Cohen about that on direct and they haven't made him plead guilty to larceny, which this is, so let's start with that."

"The other reason it's so important is the money that Michael Cohen stole from under Donald Trump's nose by his own admission, was part of the $420,000 that Michael Cohen was reimbursed for Stormy Daniels," Honig added. "So the heart of the prosecution's case is, that whole setup where they were going to repay Michael Cohen $420,000 to reimburse him for Stormy Daniels. That was all done to pay Stormy Daniels. Trump knew it. Trump knew every penny. That's why he's guilty. Now it turns out Trump is getting robbed by his own guy."

Old news but worth the mention: Stormy Daniels and the c*ck who holds her hand while her johns plow her promise to leave the country if Trump is found innocent at the fake trial in NY.

In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Barrett Blade, spouse of adult film star Stormy Daniels, revealed on Tuesday that they are seriously considering relocating abroad if former President Donald Trump is found not guilty in his ongoing Manhattan criminal trial.

Blade expressed concerns about the intense scrutiny and negativity directed at his wife.

"If Trump is found not guilty, I think there's a -- I mean, either way, I don't think he gets better for her. I think if it's not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance we'll probably vacate this country. If he is found guilty, she's still got to deal with all the hate that feel like she's the reason that he's guilty from all of his followers. So I don't see it as a when situation either way. I know that we would like to get on with our lives. I know that she wants to move past this. We want, we just want to do what I guess we would say normal people get to do and some aspects, but I don't know if that ever will be, you know," Blade said.

Oh no, not that. Not Stormy and her pimp/beard leaving the country.

So this idea that Trump has to agree to all of Biden's ridiculous demands or get labeled as "too scared to debate Biden" is absurd. Trump having Jake Tapper and CNN moderate the debate is just another example of how terrible a negotiator Trump really is.

It looks like to me these "whispers" are designed to get Trump to agree to anything and everything Biden's camp demands.

Again, when you’ve lost Wolf Blitzer, you’re dealing with a true implosion of the prosecutor’s case.

Here’s what should happen now in cascading order:

1) Judge Merchan should order a directed verdict in Trump’s favor.

2) Failing that, the jury should acquit.

3) Failing that, the NY Appellate Division should reverse the conviction.

4) Failing that, the New York Supreme Court should reverse the conviction.

5) Failing that, the US Supreme Court should reverse the New York courts.

No way a possible conviction survives appellate review at this point. All the Dems are playing for is having roughed up Trump enough with female swing voters to keep Biden in the White House.

Attorney-client privilege is a core right and professional obligation in America's legal system. It's one of the things that make our entire system work.

So it's a big deal that, as part of his grand jury proceedings, Jack Smith's prosecutors threatened one of Trump's former lawyers, suggesting that by refusing to waive attorney-client privilege — refusing to compromise his professional integrity — he was signaling that Trump was guilty of a crime.

“Why hasn’t your client waived privilege? Is it because he’s GUILTY?”

Jack Smith's team are out of control. They belong in prison.

119 My "conspiracy theory" is that the Deep State already has plans to replace Biden before the election. That will allow them to get away with the rigged election once again, since it would be a stretch to convince the public that Biden actually won.

I just am not sure how they would do it. My only guess is they would have a contested convention and force whoever they want to run to win the convention.

Democrat Convention is 08/19/24. 3 months away. So first debate next month. Everyone sees Biden fail. Gives Democrats excuse to say they have to get rid of him. 2 months for candidates to then campaign from June to August. Go into August Convention and select new candidate. Then go into the September debate with new candidate. Could probably dump Kamala Harris this way as well.

Deep State will work with media to push all the polling showing the new Democrat candidate beats Trump.

163 I know we all bitched about Trump accepting.

But even with the crazy rules, Biden still had the bigger risk.

We've had 4 years of the media refusing to air uncut, unedited Trump. To "not legitimize him by giving him a platform"

In that time, not only has the public (the LIV) forgotten why they were supposed to hate him, they've come to fondly remember having cash in the bank, filling their gas tank and grocery cart without worry, no new wars, etc.

Meanwhile, all Biden has is hate and rage aged like a barrel of sewage for 4 years now.

The Electors could always vote for whomever they want. Like those 3 Hillary electors who cast votes for Trump. We've never had mass "faithless electors" but doesn't mean we couldn't. Because we've never had a President Elect pass away either.

Because theoretically there are different electors for VP than President. How could someone cast a vote for Kamala as President and VP? That is actually forbidden by the Constitution at a minimum by the same state restriction.

231 Just beginning my research and I find this. And we thought last election was ridiculous with not getting the vote counting done in one day. In 1800, each state had its own election day and it took months to determine a winner.

Because each state could choose its own election day in 1800, the voting lasted from April to October. In April, Burr's mobilization of the vote in New York City succeeded in reversing the Federalist majority in the state legislature to provide decisive support for the Democratic-Republican ticket. With the two parties tied 65–65 in the Electoral College in the autumn of 1800, the last state to vote, South Carolina, chose eight Democratic-Republicans to award the election to Jefferson and Burr.

Yes there has - Franklin Pierce lost to James Buchanan, who then won.

John Tyler lost to Henry Clay, who then lost.
Millard Fillmore lost to Winfield Scott, who then lost.
Andrew Johnson lost to Horatio Seymour, who then lost.
Chester Arthur lost to James Blaine, who then lost.

On a made up excuse to raid Trump's home, personally authorized by Merrick Garland, the FBI was authorized to use weapons against not only a past President but family and employees. They ransacked his son's room. His wife's bedroom.
Contrast this to letting Biden's attorneys clean up two office spaces and getting advance notice that lhis house would be searched and completely let off the hook for having classified docs he was never allowed to have.

True, but -

The 'guy before Jack Smith:' UK Guardian, 2018: 'Kosovo: top war crimes prosecutor forced to leave amid US state department inertia
David Schwendiman said he is being made to leave the job at a critical stage of the tribunal’s work with no designated successor'
The chief prosecutor of a war crimes court for Kosovo has said he is being made to leave the job at a critical stage of the tribunal’s work with no designated successor – largely due to inertia in the US state department.

So Jack Smith got the job & title to become the future designated hitter against Trump.

Now we also have: Aljazeera Staff, May 21, '24: Who are the experts backing ICC warrants against Israel, Hamas leaders?
Amal Clooney was on the panel that advised the ICC prosecutor who applied for arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Hamas leaders. (Read)

And, AP 'Protesters against war in Gaza interrupt Blinken repeatedly in the Senate,' Matthew Lee, May 21, '24

The worm turned during the Kavanaugh hearings, the peaceful demonstrations, etc. And now it's spreading beyond borders.

A no go for Joe.

257 Want to pressure NY state judiciary to come into compliance with the US Constitution? Want to make it clear that the other states are upset by its desire to "do it the NY commie way?"
Have Congress pass a resolution that the State of NY must sign a renewed commitment to the US Constitution, like right the fuck now - an amendment to its 1789 signing...and as part of that re-signing, they must allow the SCOTUS take over the NYS judiciary system and answer only to them for five years (in receivership) or until such time as the SCOTUS deems the NYS judiciary has accepted the judicial procedures and legal protections afforded to all US citizens as set forth in the US Constitution that they have been made to recently re-affirm.

Otherwise, give the state over to Canada...

259 But I'm assured Garland knew nothing of this!
----------
"Press 'X' To Doubt," as the kids say.

After the raid, there were *days* of silence from the DoJ. It took a long time for a very, very surly Merrick Garland to come out and claim responsibility.

This one I actually don't think was Garland's doing. He's smarter than that. I think his agency did it, for sure - and someone high up in that agency - but I doubt he called the shots. Those days of silence were probably for the dealmaking behind the scenes with the rest of the politburo. They wanted Garland to take the blame, and it took time to negotiate the price.

I don't know what that price was. I suspect I really do not want to know.

This is prior to the 1817 Congressional law that allowed for ticket elections in the US...this was not Constitutionally done in my book, but has been let go for 250 years, so, okay...the fact that the VP could actually be an oppositional elected leader was a nice choice once, I think...but might have, and did, induce chaos...? Maybe?

Wait a minute. SD got $130,000 for the NDA.
$420K is about $290k more than a reimbursement. Nothing about this "case" makes sense, but these numbers don't comport with the prosecution's accusation that Cohen was *simply* laundering money from Trump.
