Local Liberal Comes to Brave, Stunning Realization That Sexualizing Children Is Wrong
I try not to link Bill Maher. He's a nasty liberal. Once in a while he realizes things we've known our whole lives. Whoop-de-do.
But the below monologue is important. He says a few unsayable things, as far as liberals are concerned. He has said a few things along these lines before. He noted, before, that it is not uncommon in Hollywood for a couple to have two or even three "trans" children, and pointed out that this statistical impossibility is certainly more about parental preference than a child's realization that he was "born in the wrong body." Three times in a row you gave birth to children who were "born in the wrong body"? What are the odds?! The odds are zero. This is impossible, flat-out, no asterisk. But now he says a lot more: He says that Ron DeSantis was right to fight wokeness and the sexualization of children. He says there is a gay agenda to make heterosexuality seem like a bad choice for kids and coach them into making the right choice. He says that teachers "entrap" kids into being gay or trans by suggesting it to them. He says that if you deny this, you must not be watching TikTok, then plays a couple of clips of teachers stating that they're preaching homosexuality. He says that Hollywood has a lot of pedophiles in it and they're tolerated by liberals. He says Disney is the successor company, after Nickelodeon, as the main company sexualizing children. He points out that some liberal women are hypersexualizing their children for social media currency. He says the left would defend "child f***ing" just because the "wrong people" are against it. And he says that drag queen story hour is inappropriate, and that it is for the benefit of drag queens (and, I'd mention, leftwing white women looking to score wokeness points) and not children. Here are a couple of quotes:"A 2014 CNN report discovered that at least 35 Disney employees had been arrested for sex crimes against children. And in 2021, Disney child star Alyson Stoner confessed she only narrowly survived the toddler-to-trainwreck pipeline. The next year, child star Cole Sprouse told The New York Times that young actresses at the Disney Channel were heavily sexualized from an early age," he said. Maher pointed out that Brian Peck, the dialogue coach who sexually abused Nickelodeon star Drake Bell, went to prison for 16 months -- and upon release was hired by Disney for a children's series. "Oh, for pedophiles in Hollywood. It's a small world, after all," the comedian deadpanned. "DeSantis wasn't wrong! But we're so tribal now, the left will overlook child-f--ing if the guy from the wrong party calls it out." "I've said it before, wokeness is not an extension of liberalism anymore. It's more often taking something so far that it becomes the opposite," he said. Maher continued: "Teaching kids not to hate or judge those who are different. Great!...But at a certain point, inclusion becomes promotion. And contrary to current progressive dogma, children aren't miniature adults wise beyond their years, they're morons."

I think Maher has been pretty red-pilled. I'm not saying he's an actual conservative, he's not, but it's similar to Elon Musk.
What I can't understand is why the sexualization of children/transgender/men in girls sports issue is not hurting Dems at the ballot box. Part of it is the Stupid Party (aka GOP) seems to want to steer clear on it. Every state should have this on the ballot.
But somehow Dems are able to get abortion and weed every time and every election cycle on the ballot.

I nearly got into a fight with a fellow Knight of Columbus when I was talking about how I canceled D+ (Disney) because they kept putting in Gay couples, trans kids and Kids having same sex relationships, He did the old "I know a gay couple that have been together for years" I just said leave kids ALONE and that set him off. I don't think I have seen him at a meeting since.

I think that's Maher's most astute observation and something I've been saying is animating 90% of leftist thinking and policy at least since Trump came down the escalator: the left will oppose anything Trump or conservatives support.

I nearly got into a fight with a fellow Knight of Columbus when I was talking about how I canceled D+ (Disney) because they kept putting in Gay couples, trans kids and Kids having same sex relationships, He did the old "I know a gay couple that have been together for years" I just said leave kids ALONE and that set him off. I don't think I have seen him at a meeting since.

Another part of it is the huge and growing demographic of single, childless (one might say barren) women who don't give a damn about children, so long as they can have their birth control and their cocktails after work.

As far as social conservative issues go, I think the transgender one is about the only one that benefits our side. If you had a vote on it, almost every parent and sane individual knows its a freak show. But no one is willing to really take it head on.
I'd much rather the GOP drop the abortion issue and go after the transgender one instead.

I watched the documentary Quiet On The Set a couple of weeks ago on the ID/Discovery channel.
It is really eye-opening and I highly recommend it.

What I can't understand is why the sexualization of children/transgender/men in girls sports issue is not hurting Dems at the ballot box. Part of it is the Stupid Party (aka GOP) seems to want to steer clear on it. Every state should have this on the ballot.

I see the abortion issue getting to where gay marriage is now. Basically settled and if Republicans try and change things, will be destroyed.
Not saying I like it, but every state is going t have their say on it and my guess is a good 45 of them will have abortion on demand. AZ has a ballot issue for the state constitution that is something like 6 months. I know people on the pro-life side of the campaign are basically conceding it will pass by like 20 points. If its a "state" issue, then I guess in my state, it's over. No more abortion talk.

I watched a few episodes of Quiet on Set in a hotel room. It starts out slow, then gets weirder. I didn't see the last couple episodes where I'm sure it gets really bad. Honestly, the sexualization and grooming didn't surprise me that much. What shocked me was how many sexual "Easter eggs" were put into the shows themselves. On review they're really obvious too (and unpleasant). Nickelodeon came about a bit too late for my childhood so I can't speak to how obvious they were at the time for children watching or their parents.

I always find this fascinating among so many of the 'middle roaders' who wake up and realize they do not like the direction of things. You stand in the ruins of a civilization based on Christianity. Fucking deal with it. That civilization preached tolerance, justice and looking out for your fellow man (which were the seeds for where we are now.) It also proscribed a code of conduct in what you should aspire to. Not easy, but what is the point of a ideal if it is easy?
So, you do not want that? Ok. Then it's commies all the way down. The secular, enlightened, amoral decade lasted all of... a decade(?) before it collapsed into the slide to hell we have now. I don't have Max but some of the clips I've seen seem to be straining credulity. Out of context clips from shows all super insistent that it's sexualized.

I'll say it again. There is no middle. To stand in the middle you must first firmly mark the two points you want to bisect, and then carefully measure out the middle. It's a despicable practice and in politics it produces a lot of confusion over whether this person actually believes what they say or they're just saying it to be in that preferred middle position.
You just can't tell until some time passes and you get to know that individual. Maher is a lefty and he's not on your side, but what you see is what you get. It may appear he's moving, but he isn't, the points are shifting giving him the appearance of moving to the center.
