NYC Firemen Forced to Take Down Flag Honoring Their Six Brothers Killed on 9/11 Because the American Flag is Fascist or Something

For those of you too young to remember -- 9/11 was the January 6th of the 2000s. Some people did some things.

And progressives have been fighting for 9/11 Erasure ever since. They've been fighting for a 9/11 Day of No Visibility.

This decision was reversed after considerable backlash.

Fire Department brass ordered an East Village ladder company to remove its "red line" American flag honoring the squad's six brothers killed on 9/11 -- after a neighborhood resident complained it was "fascist" and a local lefty pol questioned whether it was a "politically charged symbol."

The color red is fascist except when a leftist uses it
in which case it stands for freedom from want

The shocking order came March 22 after a man claiming he was a staffer for Democratic Manhattan Councilwoman Carlina Rivera confronted firefighters at Ladder Co. 11, sources said.
The man pedaled up to the East 2nd Street firehouse on a bicycle and told firefighters he worked for Rivera and that the councilwoman's office "complained" to the FDNY three days earlier about the flag -- which features a red stripe in tribute of firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty.
He called it a "fascist symbol" and demanded to know why it was still up, sources said.
In a March 19 email to FDNY Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator Madison Hernandez, Rivera staffer Lisander Rosario said the councilwoman's office was contacted by the "constituent" twice about the ladder company's flag and asked if it's violating department rules.

"[FDNY staff] claimed it was to honor deceased firefighters, however, [the constituent] brought up that they could've used an FDNY flag rather than a politically charged symbol," Rosario wrote.
"It is to both his and our understanding that private political symbols aren't permitted to be displayed on public vehicles."
"Can you confirm if there are any violating flags/symbols on Ladder 11?" added the email, which was obtained by The Post.

Apparently New York City passed a rule during the BLM riots that no city employee was permitted to fly an "altered" US flag -- because, I assume, BLM demanded that the pro-cop "thin blue line" flags be outlawed.

So cowards did what cowards do and bent the knee.

Now you have them demanding a thin red line flag be taken down.

This order has been reversed. But that's no victory.

I don't think the Democrap political machine in NYC relies on police or firemen, or at least not the rank and file. This is exactly right. A significant faction of leftists believe "All Cops are Bad" (ACAB). It's common for cops to be of the belief that they are the "thin blue line" between order and chaos. ACABers often will say any pro-police sentiment is fascist. The thin blue line and its symbol, according to them, is fascist.

This line of "thinking" then bleeds over into other variants of the thin blue line flag. There are several I'm aware of. Green = military, orange = search and rescue, yellow = dispatch, red = fire fighters, white = EMS.

It's insane, but that's how a pro-Firefighter flag flown on 9/11 becomes "fascist" in the minds of these lunatics.

Yes, we are backward by not having an electric kettle like everywhere else. We have some now but they still are inefficient as the element is not in the water. Unless we have finally caught up.
