NYC Firemen Forced to Take Down Flag Honoring Their Six Brothers Killed on 9/11 Because the American Flag is Fascist or Something

For those of you too young to remember -- 9/11 was the January 6th of the 2000s. Some people did some things.

And progressives have been fighting for 9/11 Erasure ever since. They've been fighting for a 9/11 Day of No Visibility.

This decision was reversed after considerable backlash.

Fire Department brass ordered an East Village ladder company to remove its "red line" American flag honoring the squad's six brothers killed on 9/11 -- after a neighborhood resident complained it was "fascist" and a local lefty pol questioned whether it was a "politically charged symbol."

thinredline.jpg
The color red is fascist except when a leftist uses it
in which case it stands for freedom from want

The shocking order came March 22 after a man claiming he was a staffer for Democratic Manhattan Councilwoman Carlina Rivera confronted firefighters at Ladder Co. 11, sources said.

The man pedaled up to the East 2nd Street firehouse on a bicycle and told firefighters he worked for Rivera and that the councilwoman's office "complained" to the FDNY three days earlier about the flag -- which features a red stripe in tribute of firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty.

He called it a "fascist symbol" and demanded to know why it was still up, sources said.

In a March 19 email to FDNY Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator Madison Hernandez, Rivera staffer Lisander Rosario said the councilwoman's office was contacted by the "constituent" twice about the ladder company's flag and asked if it's violating department rules.

NeverTrump just began agitating for Lisander Rosario to move to Florida and run against the evil fascist Ron DeSantis.

"[FDNY staff] claimed it was to honor deceased firefighters, however, [the constituent] brought up that they could've used an FDNY flag rather than a politically charged symbol," Rosario wrote.

"It is to both his and our understanding that private political symbols aren't permitted to be displayed on public vehicles."

"Can you confirm if there are any violating flags/symbols on Ladder 11?" added the email, which was obtained by The Post.

Apparently New York City passed a rule during the BLM riots that no city employee was permitted to fly an "altered" US flag -- because, I assume, BLM demanded that the pro-cop "thin blue line" flags be outlawed.

So cowards did what cowards do and bent the knee.

Now you have them demanding a thin red line flag be taken down.

This order has been reversed. But that's no victory.

We are ruled by two groups: fanatically aggressive mentally-ill freaks filled with omnidirectional hate based on how inadequate and stupid they are, and incompetent, ignorant cowards who obey and implement every order given to them by the first group.

Update: I forgot to mention -- NY Governess Batty Katty Hochul was jeered and heckled and demanded to leave a wake for the most recent slain NYC police officer.

It wouldn't surprise me if support for Democraps in the FDNY and NYPD were much lower than that. I don't think the Democrap political machine in NYC relies on police or firemen, or at least not the rank and file. Given that there were rules in place about altered US flags, the leftist freak has a point - follow the rules and take it down. Or repeal the rule.

77 Apparently New York City passed a rule during the BLM riots that no city employee was permitted to fly an "altered" US flag -- because, I assume, BLM demanded that the pro-cop "thin blue line" flags be outlawed.

This is exactly right. A significant faction of leftists believe "All Cops are Bad" (ACAB). It's common for cops to be of the belief that they are the "thin blue line" between order and chaos. ACABers often will say any pro-police sentiment is fascist. The thin blue line and its symbol, according to them, is fascist.

This line of "thinking" then bleeds over into other variants of the thin blue line flag. There are several I'm aware of. Green = military, orange = search and rescue, yellow = dispatch, red = fire fighters, white = EMS.

It's insane, but that's how a pro-Firefighter flag flown on 9/11 becomes "fascist" in the minds of these lunatics.

You did a poll? You do a lot of those. Actually, firefighters tend to be a little more conservative grou,p and as with the NYC police protesting the actions leading to the death of the young policeman and being obviously not happy with Hochul trying to attend the funeral or earlier booing Letiia James, I wouldn't assume numbers on how they vote.

Given that there were rules in place about altered US flags, the leftist freak has a point - follow the rules and take it down. Or repeal the rule.

When did these red lines and blue lines start appearing in the flag? I don't remember them on September 12th.

Having clean elections isn't hard. The US used to have them and hell, Iraq has had cleaner elections then the US did in 2020.

The government doesn't want clean elections. And...there is only reason as to why.

Remember in 2000 when the FNM and Democrats claimed the election was stolen? And how they were given full access to audit the ballots? Now, imagine if Shrub had responded to their stolen election claims like Biden has by imprisoning and cancelling people...what would that have meant?

In the 90s I had a coworker from South Africa who told everyone that he was South African the way vegans and Crossfitters tell you they're vegans and Crossfitters. He had a South African flag hanging at all times. There was also a lesbian in a nearby office with a gay flag. Naturally several of us would steal the gay flag every night and put it up in place of the South African flag. This went on for months until it stopped making people laugh.

Nowadays we'd be fired if not jailed for that. Ahh, progress.

She blathered for several seconds about how this is a local problem, and that owners and renters need to feel their families are safe, that people must feel safe in their communities. No mention of property owner or landlord rights, of course.

I think the message from the White House to current and protective squatters is clear. Squatters should have a child or two with them if possible, and with or without kids in the scam, tell police you live in constant fear for your life from people who used or threatened violence to unlawfully evict you.

Good Grief.

238 Nazarene is a title used to describe people from the city of Nazareth in the New Testament (there is no mention of either Nazareth or Nazarene in the Old Testament), and is a title applied to Jesus, who, according to the New Testament, grew up in Nazareth, a town in Galilee, now in northern Israel. (Wikipedia,

Nazareth is a city in Israel with biblical history. In the old city, the domed Basilica of the Annunciation is, some believe, where the angel Gabriel told Mary she would bear a child. St. Joseph’s Church is said to be the site of Joseph’s carpentry workshop. The underground Synagogue Church is reputedly where Jesus studied and prayed. There are a lot of stories about DP, some apocryphal. The tale goes that her friends were worried about her drinking, so she went to an AA meeting and came back full of praise for the organization and its methods. Robt. Benchley asked if she were going to join.

"Certainly not," came the answer. "They want me to stop *now*!"

A great story . . . but her biographers all put that around the time of the very early Depression, ca. 1930-32. AA wasn't founded until 1935.

288 241 Oh, I bet his annoying ass would try to force everyone to call it "Sudafrica", too.

Sudafrica eh. So he was an Afrikaner and not an Englishman.
Yes, we are backward by not having an electric kettle like everywhere else. We have some now but they still are inefficient as the element is not in the water. Unless we have finally caught up.

302 1. Because science is so successful, it sometimes attracts people who are interested in success, not science.
2. At some point such people realize they have no patience or talent for science and go into administrative careers. Especially in laboratory sciences, being a good administrator may count for a lot.
