Bidenflation Rises to 3.2% Sparking Media to Coin the Terms "Miracle Inflation" and "Sexyflation"

The rising inflation rate is just due to the economy reopening three f***ing years ago.

Oh, and supply lines. Curse those confounded supply lines! They all have stutters!

Amid the Biden Administration's latest claims that "Bidenomics" is curbing rising prices, the latest economic data reveals inflation unexpectedly rose to 3.2% last month, underscoring the ongoing challenge of controlling living costs for Americans.

Key Details:

Unexpected Increase: The latest Labor Department figures showed a 3.2% year-over-year increase in consumer prices for February, exceeding economists' forecasts.

"Economic forecasters" are not forecasters, they are wischcasters. They constantly "estimate" the economic news will be better under Democrats, and likewise constantly "predict" that the economy will be worse under Republicans.

But trust your partisan, gaslighting "experts."

Core Inflation Concerns: Core prices, excluding volatile food and energy costs, rose by 3.8%, signaling persistent inflationary pressures.

Federal Reserve's Dilemma: With inflation rates surpassing expectations, the Federal Reserve faces tough decisions on interest rate adjustments amid efforts to stabilize the economy.

In other words, the Fed wants to lower interest rates to spark a fake period of artificially-stimulated growth in order to help Biden win steal another election with sufficient cover.

But if inflation is rising, they can't cut rates -- in fact, they should probably raise them, which will slow the economy.

In a recent and surprising twist, inflation in the United States has taken an upward turn, registering a 3.2% increase in February from a year earlier, according to the Labor Department. This rise surpasses the anticipated 3.1% increase predicted by economists, igniting concerns over the effectiveness of measures promised by President Joe Biden to rein in surging prices that continue to burden American households.

Wait, Biden's highly inflation spend-a-thon bill dishonestly named the Inflation Reduction Act didn't reduce inflation?!

Well I'll be a Biden's uncle. (A Biden uncle will certainly pull $5-10 mil a year from China, so Easy Street, here I come!)

Oh, and into the gnawing maw of rising inflation, Biden wants to toss $7.3 TRILLION in chum.

House Republican leaders have criticized President Biden's proposed budget for fiscal year 2025, citing concerns over increased spending and tax hikes. The budget, which is largely symbolic and unlikely to pass the Republican-controlled House, is part of Biden's pitch to voters as he seeks re-election.

Key Details

President Biden's proposed budget for fiscal year 2025 totals $7.3 trillion, with plans to increase taxes on corporations and high-income households.

The budget includes funding for progressive policies such as the American Climate Corps and the Green Climate Fund, as well as development programs in the STEM fields with an emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

The Inflation "Reduction" Act spent billions on these programs, and somehow it didn't reduce inflation.

House Republicans have proposed their own budget, led by Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, which aims to cut $14 trillion in federal spending over 10 years by slashing federal benefits and social programs, among other areas.

Issue with gold is that it has to grow with the economy or you end up with panics periodically due to deflation (or occasionally if a new source of gold comes online then inflation).

Prefer currency backed by something more modern--energy--pretty hard to devalue a kwh and gross energy use grows naturally with an economy in good shape.

1.0% grocery inflation over the last 12 months. Food prices are barely creeping up at all anymore, but eating at restaurants is still rising quite quickly.

Excluding volatile food and energy prices. What garbage. They keep the worst two things out of it.

Except food prices remain flat with a much lower increase overall. Literally the exact opposite of being the worst lmao

This shows an easing of inflation, but it's stubborn, next month is an important report. But as always, no CPI report should be discussed without including wage growth. Prices went up 3.2% over the last year, but wages went up 4.3% over the same time period.

Food and rent should be NFP across the board. Eliminate profit from these two basic human necessities!

One home owner mentioned if the tax increase goes through she'll have to sell her house and move and asked maybe the town could cut things like their new "sustainability officer". The response? If you don't want progress we don't want you in our town sell and leave!

@KobeissiLetter
The January jobs report number was just revised LOWER from showing 353,000 jobs added to 229,000.

This means 129,000 LESS jobs were added in January than initially reported.

It also means 10 of the last 12 months have seen downward revisions in their jobs number.

Posted by: weft cut-loop

If you dig into the details of the jobs report, you will find that full time employment has actually decreased over the last 18 months. Fewer full time jobs now than the fall of 2022. The entire 'job growth' is second and third jobs, and they deceitfully pretend that unemployment is low, because they don't tie the jobs to the family measurement.

Worse than that, if you exclude illegal aliens and H1Bs from the jobs number, you will see that American full time employment is lower now than in 2018.

274 Let's print more money, to make more money! Bidenomics in a nutshell. Everything will work out just fine? The Fed needs to raise interest rates into the double-digit range, to stomp out the inflation, ala Paul Volcker. Can't do it, because the $35+ trillion in debt, and about $200 trillion in unfunded mandates. The US of A treasury is having a hard enough time printing enough money to pay just the current interest on the current debt. Good times.

Well we are spending more on servicing the interest on the national debt than we are on the entire defense department so we have that going for us.

Basically federal deficit spending each year covers the interest on the debt and we have created a self sustaining monster that will continue to grow in size consuming more and more of the federal tax dollars. Kind of like that monster in the 1950s SF movie Forbidden Planet.

Thus the very implementers of Marxism demonstrate that you get "according to ability" with extra helpings of award.

Think how much it would cost you to have some person that offended you killed.

Now think of how many people Stalin could have killed.

Think of what it would cost you to have someone "disappear".

Then think of how many people Xi had just disappear.

Power and wealth are roughly equivalent. A man can go in and pay for the top luxury car because he has excess cash. Another man can levy such a vehicle because he has the power to.

Ownership is the free market indicator of *control*. You remove the free market, you remove private property, *control* doesn't get distributed.

They also have to buy the rest of Hulu for 10b, another 1.5b in Epic Games, and promised 60b for parks over the next decade.

Peltz needs those two boards seats to help turn the fucking Mouse around.

402 Had someone tell me that he always fills up when he is only half empty so the gas prices aren’t so bad that way… I suspect a Democrat…

That is not the first time I've heard this. It's similar to Old Folks now who insist on keeping a full tank of gas to keep the top of the tank from rusting out, even though I am unaware of any car being made with a steel gas tank since what 1982.

Food prices have roughly doubled in the 3+ years Joe Stolen has been occupying the White House.

Sadly that "shrinkflation" bull$h!t works on the ignorant. They don't understand that the Federal government's irresponsible fiscal policy has seriously devalued the dollar: this increases the costs of raw materials. Of course, then the manufacturer has to pass-on the costs to the consumers.

With Joe's magic touch, the Donk's are probably thinking about nationalizing food production.

404 When's the last time DC had a budget?

... either 12 or 13 years ago
Posted by: SMOD at March 12, 2024 03:03 PM (RHGPo)

It was when W Bush was on his way out in 2008. TARP was added at the tail end of that years budget. That TARP funding was then added to the next CR in 2009 and every CR every year since. So its now more than a decade and a half of TARP spending. Likewise with all of the 'emergency' appropriations. That is how next year's CRs will total over $7 trilion.

They can't 'afford' to return to normal budgeting.
