Good morning, kids. Q: When is an insurrection not an insurrection, or in the parlance of Whoopi Fat Albert Speer, an insurrection-insurrection? A: Well, I think you all should know the answer to that by now.

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) fired back at a group of Code Pink activists who ambushed him in a hallway on Capitol Hill and accused him of supporting “genocide” by supporting the State of Israel in its fight against Hamas terrorists.
“I will always support Israel,” Fleischmann retorted, as he rejected the activists’ claims and their false statistics.
Code Pink is a radical, left-wing, anti-war organization that has adopted an anti-Israel posture, parroting "Palestinian" propaganda and ignoring the October 7 terror attack that left 1,200 dead in Israel, plus the kidnapping of hostages.
Medea Benjamin, the co-founder and leader of Code Pink, who dressed up in a concentration camp uniform for her role in the protest, posted the footage, as Code Pink claimed that Fleischmann had backed the genocide of Palestinians.
Fleischmann said “goodbye to 'Palestine'” as he responded to the activists hounding him, not as a statement of policy.
Some pro-"Palestinian" activists online targeted Fleischmann for his Catholic faith and for his “Christian Zionism.”

Medea, as in Media-Whore. Whether it's to disrupt Congressional hearings or as in this case get up close and personal with Republican and/or conservative lawmakers, this psycho slag and her minions seem to always be inside the Capitol dome or House or Senate offices and chambers at just the right time. The salient point is that there is no way in hell they could ever have entered these buildings without being allowed in by either Democrat lawmakers, staffers or the Capitol PD.

Their presence is both intentional and absolutely coordinated with Democrats and the media (Medea) for maximum propaganda effect. There's also the added bonus of intimidation with a soupçon of a threat of violence. Remember last week when active duty Air Force member and confirmed Antifa fan-boy and Israel-hater Aaron Bushnell immolated himself in front of the Israeli embassy in DC to protest the mythical "genocide" of the equally mythical "Palestinians?" If you think that he's a one-off, you're whistling past the graveyard. Worse, he could just as easily have strapped on a PLO Islam-ikaze suicide vest, flashed his Code Pinko ID card at the Capitol door and waltzed right in to give Chuck Fleischmann, or any other pro-Israel congressman or senator a great big bear hug.

While it's a fact that the Speaker of the House, in this case Republican Mike Johnson, is supposed to be the commander-in-chief of the Capitol PD, the facts on the ground indicate otherwise. It's not that he's ineffectual or incompetent. It's just that the Capitol PD, like every other bureaucracy in Washington DC is allied to the Democrats and Leftists. That Code Pinko can directly threaten Chuck Fleischmann with impunity is merely a microcosm of what the CIA, FBI and DOJ did to Donald Trump by fabricating the Russia Collusion hoax, as well as the rank insubordination of the DoD in not carrying out his orders vis a vis troop withdrawals from Syria. And those are just two examples, albeit gigantic ones, of what undoubtedly was mass insubordination, stonewalling and sabotage of every agency and every department from the moment Trump was sworn in at noon on 1/20/17 to 11:59:59AM on 1/20/21 when Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants was wheeled into the Oval Office.

I'm sure the correlation and comparison of the actions in this incident involving Code Pinko and the reactions of the Capitol PD as well as Democrat and RINO lawmakers, to that of what happened on 1/6/21 are obvious and glaring. Two unarmed, non-violent women slaughtered by Capitol PD officers and their associates and hundreds of hapless dupes still rotting in prison for misdemeanor trespassing (at best) magically transmogrified into high treason by corrupt DAs and judges, while a former president of the United States is being railroaded for fomenting a fictitious insurrection when in point of fact he was merely exercising his First Amendment right of free speech and protest.

I do not know what the process or procedure is to have Medea Benjamin and whoever was with her that got in the face of Chuck Fleischmann arrested and then prosecuted, but it must be done. Yeah, I know the corruption is dark and deep and everywhere in DC. But for Speaker Mike Johnson to not at least make the attempt to punish these bastards is acknowledgment and acquiescence to the fact that the Left can get away with anything. And, given the political climate of this nation as it currently exists, I mean quite literally ANYTHING.

And if the fear is that by trying to seek actual justice against these criminals it will only incite them even more, then we've already lost the nation and might as well admit it.

The more Trump gains in the polls, the more the kangaroo court show trials are delayed or, please God, derailed to one extent or another, and the more it seems as if Biden and the Democrats are not going to be able to cheat large enough to ensure a victory (not without revealing it to everyone that that is what happened), the more the chance of mass political violence as November approaches.

Kneecapping Code Pinko now could send a powerful message. Or is the corruption so deep and the fear so deeply ingrained that nothing will avert the powder keg going off eight months from now?

California Law has been changed so that it is completely Legal now for Democrat party vote harvesters to go into minority neighborhoods and collect hundreds, actually thousands, of blank mail-in ballots, fill them out themselves, and turn them in in big bunches. They pay people for them if they want it, and they are paid for gathering them up. Illegals get the mailed out ballots too.

The number is likely high, but probably not by much. Lots of Haitians streaming over the border. It's a consequence, ultimately, of a combination of the earthquake and our border policy.

Loads of Haitians fled to Latin America in the wake of the earthquake in 2010 (and some after the quake a few years ago), claiming refugee status due to the disaster. The countries in which they landed - I think Brazil is a big one, but I don't remember - started to revoke refugee status a couple of years ago. Absent that status, they're illegal aliens who are being repatriated to Haiti.

*None* of them want to be repatriated to Haiti. Wherever they landed in LatAm is not as bad as where they fled. So faced with "get on the plane, you're going back to Haiti," a ton of them have moved El Norte to claim asylum - from Latin America, not from Haiti - in the United States.

In the binary worldview, they're actually correct. It all depends on how you define "rich."

If your perception of "rich" is "oligarch," then their position is more true than it isn't. The oligarchs are *great* at not paying taxes, and have tons of shelters and dodges that were put into the tax codes specifically for them to use. It costs them a fortune in accountants and other costs, but it's far less than the tax burden.

But there aren't many oligarchs. There are way, way, way more people who are "merely rich" and way more still who are "near rich." The merely rich and the near rich carry an outrageous share of the overall burden.

Yup. It's fundamentally the reason why I respect Musk. Of all the oligarchs, he is the *only* one who appears to understand that the basic and fundamental input in *all* things is people. He wants more people, not fewer. He wants them on more planets, not fewer - but even barring that, he wants more of them no matter what. He's the only oligarch who looks at global demography (outside of parts of Africa and the MidEast) as the catastrophe it is.

They are actually designed to discourage consumption and encourage saving.

And once again, “fair” is relative. They hit those with the least ability to pay. I’m dreaming of course, but I’d like to see Congress limited to an income tax of 10% of income no matter what the income is, in the Constitution. It’s what they get for abusing their power of setting tax rates and trying to control behavior via taxation.

I think the "prebate" scheme is fraught with peril and I don't like it, but combined with a 15% maximum income tax, the average tax burden would collapse and the "prebate" would be nowhere near enough to act as a UBI scheme.

I think it would still be counterproductive, but the benefits might outweigh the costs if it permitted a repeal of the entire current tax code. But of course, the "prebate" would move from "poverty line" to "$75k" inside of ten years, and the rate would move from 15% to 50% within ten years.

417 Taxes there is no “fair share” that is commie talking points. Every person poor or not is privileged above all other world peoples to live in the United States. An actual flat retail sales tax without any exceptions is the only way to go. Paying it will educate the poor and everyone else about government waste. It also becomes totally anonymous except for the point of collection so the government no longer knows who you are and what you are spending your money on. It’s much easier to focus on the few hundred thousands of businesses who will be the collectors vs proctologist exams of every working citizen we have now.
