The Classical Saturday Morning Coffee Break & Prayer Revival

suburban-men-rise-and-shine-outdoors-camping-hiking-hunting-fishing-20230426-119.jpg

February 29 is the birthday of Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini, born in 1792. He is mostly known for his operas (both the "Lone Ranger" and "Bambi" themes are from Rossini's "William Tell" Overture), but he also wrote piano works later in life called "Sins of Old Age." Here is one piece called "Ouf! les petits pois!"

Rossini died shortly after his 18th birthday in 1868.(H/T Isophorone Blog)

When The Coffee Addiction Gets Out of Hand

Good morning World Wide Moron Horde. Before we get to the Prayer Revival, just a few housekeeping matters. (Rulz for those of you in Sanborn)

1) This is an open thread without any 100 comment requirement. You are free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate away the morning.
2) Maple Syrup may be applied to any breakfast item you wish.
3) Be considerate to others and/or nice.
4) Feel free to run with sharp objects if you must. We prefer you didn't.
5) Have a wonderful weekend.

***

Thank you Annie for today's following Prayer Revival...........

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:

2/3 -Washington Nearsider has been and remains sincerely grateful for the prayers and well-wishes of the Horde. He has withdrawn his TSP and has enough money left to get through late March – early April. He will accrue debt with the custody hearings which begin 3/6. He has 3 interviews scheduled for the week of 2/5. He is also attempting to expand his custom model building services to bring in additional income by leaning on 20 years of experience building models of all kinds: building planes, tanks, ships, etc. Please contact him through the comments or email Annie’s Stew, and she can send you his direct contact information. He sends his thanks for his daily dose of sanity in an otherwise crazy world, and for the constant stream of wonderful Fani Willis euphemisms.
2/28 Update – Washington Nearsider has learned that this coming Wednesday, he is likely to lose full custody of his two young children until he can replace the salary he lost after being removed from his federal position. While he is still pursuing a higher-level job, he has started working at the local Home Depot, more to keep his children insured than for the wages. He has several more interviews over the coming week or so and hopes that at least one of them will pan out. His savings will run out in about three weeks, and then things have the potential to become extremely difficult; however, three weeks is three weeks, and anything could happen between now and then.

1/20 – Jewells said she has spent the last 2 days recovering from the latest chemo treatment. Praise God, it has gone much better. She still had pain, but was able to manage it with oxy, but it makes her very weak.
2/15 – Jewells has an update that the PET scan showed great results, and her MRI showed no cancer!

2/3 – Teresa in Fort Worth would appreciate prayers for Leigh, the director of a school for students of all ages with Down Syndrome. Leigh has been diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma. The tumor was removed this week, and they think they got all of it. Leigh would appreciate the prayers.
2/17 Update – The mass in Leigh’s shoulder is benign, and she does NOT have soft tissue sarcoma. She thanks everyone for their prayers on her behalf.

2/3 – Reforger asked for prayers for his Coworker, “D”, a widowed mom of 4 who is having a rough time with daughter #1. The daughter is skipping school, was caught 3 times and now police and social workers are involved. “D” is beside herself. She is having to miss work (and pay) to do probation stuff and keep appointments with “therapists”.
2/10 Update – Reforger reports that Coworker “D” and her daughter are doing better. He also relayed a funny story that ended up with him being able to bless “D” with another $200!

2/3 – Polliwog the ‘Ette would appreciate prayers for Inspector’s back pain. It’s been bad enough that he’s had to admit it’s a problem. It also keeps him from sleeping or being able to do even mild exercise, both of which are important for managing his blood pressure. They’d appreciate prayers for complete healing, but also wisdom on how to prevent future problems.
2/10 Update – As soon as she asked for prayers, God brought to mind something that helped Inspector the last time, but they’d forgotten to try. His back is substantially better, and he’s become convinced that it’s the sitting, not the exercise, that causes problems, and that is also a victory.

2/3 – Fenelon Spoke asked for “P”, who needs prayers for his return to faith as a Christian. Also, prayers for Pam, who needs continued healing after a pacemaker insertion, are appreciated.
2/24 Update – Please keep praying for “P” and his faith.

2/8 – It’s me, Donna, asked for prayers after some bad lab tests. It turns out it’s not as bad as thought and easily treated. Thanks so much for the prayers.

2/10 – Sock Monkey asked for prayers for his BIL, who woke up 2/9 with no feeling in his legs and unable to walk. After a lengthy visit to the ER, a growth was discovered on his spine. Doctors were only able to remove part of it during an 8.5 hour surgery on 2/10. The mass is probably cancerous, but they don’t know what type. His prognosis for walking again is not high. The family would appreciate prayers for healing, strength, and comfort.

2/10 - Mindful webworker asked for prayers for a dear, long-time family friend, Levi, who is in a desperate, dangerous state of distress and is an immediate threat to himself and others. Please send up prayers that he can swiftly be freed from the demons that confuse his mind and torture his soul, and that his family would be protected, and that he would return to Jesus.

2/10 – Martini Farmer asked for prayers for his son, who lost his job this past week due to DEI.

2/10 – Berserker-Dragonheads Division is in the hospital. He had a cardiac cath, then was sent straight in for bypass surgery.
2/11 Update – He had 2 arteries 100% blocked, 1 that was 95%, and another that was 80%. So he had a quad. He says the hospital and staff are great.

2/17 – Muldoon humbly asks for prayers for his daughter Michele, for healing. She has suffered for years from severe debilitating migraines that have resulted in her becoming largely withdrawn from society.

2/20 – Lady in Black requested prayers for her stepmother, Bonnie. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 9 years ago. About 2 years ago, it came back and she had a mastectomy. Now she has a lump showing in her lung and is getting ready to have a biopsy. She is depressed and very worried. Any prayers for her would be greatly appreciated.

2/21 – TecumsehTea sends many thanks for the prayers for Pastor Joe. He had his post-surgical followup today. Stitches are out, no radiation or other treatments are needed. In 3 months he will have another MRI.

2/21 – Prayers for the family and friends who mourn the loss of GnuBreed.

2/24 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for Joanne, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, stage 4. Prayers are also needed for Karen, Joanne’s niece, who will have to manage things for Joanne (as the closest family member).

2/26 – Alex the Chick reported that Bandersnatch passed away last night.

2/27 – rhennigantx asked for prayers for his friend Tim, who had a stroke on Sunday.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

Happy Texas Independence Day! (3/02/1836) It’s fascinating that in my lifetime, the defining moments and phrases of the Texas Revolution have switched from the victory at San Jacinto (“Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad!” and the valor at the Alamo (“I shall never surrender or retreat.” “Victory or death!”

The Alamo was a Travis-ty. They should have abandoned the fort and regrouped. Lost alot of good men for nothing.

18 Good morning everyone. Prayers for all intentions - those asked, and those known but to God.

"In my distress I cried out to the Lord, and He answered my prayer. From the midst of the netherworld I begged for help, and You heard my voice. For You hurled me into the deep, into the midst of the sea, and the flood waters enveloped me; beneath all Your breakers and Your billows I was submerged. Then I said: “I have been exiled from Your sight. Never again will I gaze upon Your holy Temple.”
The waters swirled around me, endangering my life; I was enveloped by the abyss as seaweed clung to my body.
Down I descended to the base of the mountains; the gates of the netherworld were closing behind me forever. But You rescued my life from the pit, O Lord, my God. When my soul grew faint within me, I remembered the Lord. You heard my prayer in Your sacred Temple. Those who worship worthless idols renounce the source of their mercy. But I, with jubilant praise, will offer sacrifice to You.
The vows that I have made I will keep, for deliverance is from the Lord."
~ Jonah 2: 3-10

In the last 20 years, every single alleged principle has been inverted by the elites. History has been completely re-written in real time. George Orwell's famous formulation that "We've always been at war with Eastasia" has become a moving target, with enemies, truths and slogans changing on a time frame that Stalinists would have considered absurd.

Only God remains constant, and that is where we must turn to find peace.

40 The Washington Nearsider situation reminds me of the perilous situation this country is in. He declined to perform what his upper management asked of him because he felt it was morally wrong; presto, he is fired.

Contrast this with the FIB agents that chained a non-violent journalist in-place at a police station for hours because he had continued to report on the J6 atrocities.

Those agents ALL went home that night proud that their pensions were still intact, and slept like babies!

I took my portable solar panel and backup 2k battery outside in the brilliant sunshine yesterday. After a 12 hour plus power outage on Wednesday it was at 35%. It was about 45 degrees outside. About 2:30 pm it registered 99% charged so I stopped it there as a test.

Sure enough, after I brought it inside to a 70 degree room it registered 100% charged.

71 No ever how bad the coffee addiction is I would trade it for drinking booze. I never had the predilection for coffee but I keep pushing it down my throat every morning. I like it. But I go with the most general drip coffee maker available. The authorities say American paper filter drip coffee is the most healthy for your liver. I’ve cut down on views and don’t have any liver problems but hey by chance it? I get the coffee addiction, but no way is it capable to people addicted to booze, it is a different level.

And again, in this day and age, you see people wafting with pot smoke. I don’t get how anyone thinks this is normal. This is not the way it was supposed to be. I see someone wafting with pot smoke I immediately discount them. Then again, if someone stumbling because their booze hound of course you have to avoid those people.

It’s a meme now, but the line “go home, you’re drunk!” Hits so hard. Sure we have all been drunk at one point, but at that point you lose everything, no one takes you seriously, people should remember that and take it into account.

74 Morning. Prayer for all asking and those in need but not asking.

Update on coworker D and daughter.
They had to incarcerate her. She's gone nuts. Trashed her room, broke everything she could get her hands on, punched holes in the walls and here is why she is really fucked, kicked a cop. They are not being forgiving about that.

Wish there was more I could do. Known this little girl since she was a peppy smart 8yo. Bought every box of Thin Mints I've devoured in the last 5 years from her. Thank you all for the prayer for her. She could use a lot more.

Aside from that we got about 6 inches of snow last night. It's stopped now but the wind is howling and it's a whiteout from blowing snow. Went to let the cat out and he gave me that 'I think I'll shit in the box' look and wandered off.

81 I am a bit shocked to buy Republicans like Mark Levin and others who’ve gone all in on this idea that Democrats were the CSA and Democrats were the Confederates.

I get their point, but I think they are not nuance enough with this debate. Southerners are the core of the Republican party, and no one‘s going to question that because it’s the case. it wasn’t just a couple of decades ago when southerners took pride in their heritage and the people that fought who were there grandparents and great grandparents. I get that the CSA was in the wrong and it is good that they lost. But I find it weird that people who are hard-core Republicans now think bashing anything related to the CSA and anyone related to the CSA is a good way to rally Republicans from the South.

Again, I understand what they’re trying to do with the labeling, the Democrats as the racist party that they are, but I think they go too far and they are in front of their skis when they tell people they should be ashamed when a generation of ago they were proud.

Prayers up for those that need them but don’t know it yet; and
Prayers up for those who pray alone, asking for help in silence, and whose prayers are known but to God!

Those agents ALL went home that night proud that their pensions were still intact, and slept like babies!

These grotesque miscarriages of justice are necessary in order to accomplish sweeping change.

Those who suffer are laying up treasure in heaven, while those agents counting their pension money - indeed, they will have their reward, too.

God permits injustice because it brings about a greater good. We must never forget that, and when we face pain, disappointment, loss, we must ask "What are you telling me, God? Why is this necessary?"

It is a hard thing to do.

90 I like Mark Ville Levin, I think it’s a lot of good things to say. But not long ago he said 50,000 men died at Gettysburg, the reality is 10,000 died at Gettysburg. He has a bull horn and I do not but the differences I’m right and he’s wrong. I understand what he’s doing and what he’s trying to say, but reality is reality.

I agree the Democrats are the party of Jim Crow and LBJ‘s great society which is also racist. That is not a good reason to bash Robert Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and people that were revered, not often or always for their cause, but for their belief of the cause and how they fought.

104 92 I keep studying French. As someone who has always loved languages I keep going with French. I legitimately think I’m doing it just to spite everyone else which is a dumb reason to study a language. I’ve done some research and the reality is most people that speak French speak. Another language and one of them is English. Some more will speak French in 2050 than any other language. But if you look into that they are all Africans and French is their second or third language. The French themselves study English and are way better at it than we are at their language.

If I were going to advise anyone I would say go to Spanish, because at least there are tons of them in this country that don’t speak English and maybe you can find a way to use your language abilities to deal with them and even get paid. From what I see French is becoming a side language people do just because it’s interesting, it’s not something you need to know to communicate with others, other than just being in a club.

By the way, I’m pissed about this because I love studying French. I’m just tired of wasting my time.

149 121, at least you are consistent and I respect that about you. When relatives of mine here I like France or French they talk about how I used to call them frogs with dogs. That was my dad talking and nothing wrong with that.

I’ve had incredible experiences in France I’ve been to many countries and that wasn’t the one I expected to really love. My issue was studying French is French people don’t immigrate here. Save what you want about the French but they don’t come here. They’re not the ones crossing the border illegally. I hope everyone understands that.

Some COBs, here has told me I should write a post, if I did one, it might be about France in the French but I can’t do what they do. I wish I could but I can’t.

If all were equal, I would go with Italian, but how many times can you start over with these languages and words? My Spanish is OK but I probably have 10,000 words in French above it. Which is weird because I took Spanish in high school in college. I went crazy on French after college. It was just something I did on my own. The primary mental health intake seems to be law enforcement. One of the rural counties in Michigan built a new county jail with a mental health wing attached.

I would not worry too much about the assault charge. There is a whole matrix in place for charges to be removed in exchange for therapy and treatment. Even the involuntary commitment can be turned into voluntary with the right paperwork.

The deeper issue is what happens when they kick her out of the hospital, which they eventually will. There are vanishingly few long-term treatment facilities and the old idea of a "rest home" where people who simply could not live in their own can stay is gone. There might be a few religious homes, which seem to be enjoying a comeback.

163 Don't really pray for people but on break last night I looked up the background on that crazy-assed Kathryn Jezer-Morton lady. Seriously, that girl never had a snowball's chance of being sane. Dad is Marty Jezer, of the ultra-Commie New Left. That girl must carry around enough hatred and self-loathing to power a small city.

208 We have a local sheriff who retired after 30 years and went into public speaking, among other things - very funny and colorful guy. Was at a talk he gave to a local group and he said the biggest change he saw from 1977 to 2010 was that when he first started running the county jail, they would get a few schizophrenics and crazies but it wasn't too bad and they could handle it. He said that by the time he left, about 60% to 70% of the county jail population were diagnosed mental patients, and the jail had become the last resort to house them. if they let them go, they went out and started smashing things and assaulting people and got sent right back. He said that now his deputies had to spend most of their time coordinating medications and figuring out how to deal with a building full of screaming lunatics, it made running the place nearly impossible.

and it's because no one else will take them or even acknowledge the problem.

214 Just a reminder that the brutality and blatant injustice is the point. The Dems have given up on persuasion and want to rule by fear. They themselves are very fearful, and they assume that everyone else is as well. Watch any movie or show, and the conservative is always secretly a coward - all you have to do is frighten him and he cries and begs for mercy.

They don't understand people of faith, and martyrs terrify them. People willing to go to jail are alien to them. They think that the solution is simply to hit harder, shout louder, be meaner, and of course the other side will fold.

Another thing that they don't understand is that Western democracies don't have the necessary infrastructure for a totalitarian system. Everyone talks about Nazis, Communists, etc., but the West is built from the ground up on voluntary compliance. The people vote for representatives to makes laws that they then choose to follow. When that falls out of alignment, the law, not the population, gives way. See also speed limits, alcohol prohibition, etc. (con't)

215 I studied Spanish for three years in high school and in college got up to reading short stories. (Just as in English, some writers are clearer than others.) I'm still hopeless at constructing actual sentences. My acquaintance with Latin is about the same as evenings after a big dinner, i.e., nodding. French, very simple Poirot-style phrases, I can sometimes read or make a good guess at. Italian I might be good at, considering my background with Romance languages, but it would be pretty useless for conversation here.

217 160, I have no interest in the Quebuecois, If nothing makes you like the French I can tell you they don’t like them either. I don’t like to dislike people in general that can come off as a bit harsh. But as a daily student of French, I think about these things. Anytime I’ve seen the Québécois, they are unfriendly and unlikable. My understanding is their French is poor, but that would be the last of my complaints. I’m just not interested in Quebec, and as I understand it, the French don’t think very highly of their French. By the way, the French themselves love to use English terms such as weekend, but that is just one. The Quebecois attack all English words because well they are bitter.

I would assume a high percentage of us here (those of us over 29, at least) are on that same pill.

For me, not all of it is related to the aforementioned diet/lifestyle things, but some of it is. When I was 20, I was fit as anyone, but it was high. It was suggested I cut out caffeine. I did, but it didn't make any difference.

Great, so think that through - all the truckers are on house arrest. How do you get food? The farmers stay inside. Who enforces this? How many cops/jail cells do you have?

Because modern leftists were raised to be tattletales and teachers' pets, they think this is the real world. It isn't, and that is why their efforts will ultimately fail because they are completely impractical.

Remember that these articles are leftist copes; insulting their enemies is just a bonus. These people need to believe that their opponents are deluded hypocrites with no real belief system. David French and his pharisees are part of this effort ("oh, they're not even real Christians, just weirdos").

The truth - that people of faith can rationally decide that Trump is a better choice while retaining disdain for much of his actions and personality - is too terrifying for them to contemplate. Recall that 40 years ago, liberals wanted to understand their enemies, but now they fear knowing anything about them that might disturb their delusion.

This will not end well for them.

Yeah, and Obama was a "lightbringer." With these people, everything is projection.

A liberal woman was telling me how awful it is in west Michigan with the White Christian Nationalists in her apartment complex, telling each other "have a blessed day," praying in groups, etc.

She's talking about the Dutch Reformed, and they've been there for more than a century. Everyone knows this. Houses built there have floor drains in the garage so you can wash the car on a Sunday without the neighbors knowing.

It's been a joke as long as I've been alive, but suddenly NAZIS!! EVERYWHERE!!

The woman in question has changed her faith a half-dozen times, but she's always remained true to her true religion, The Democrat Party.

The Bulwark has what seems to be a hilarious article on Haley, but it's for "Premium" members, so I can only see the teaser: Nikki Haley Hates Her Voters and It’s Weirdm She keeps pretending that she’s the choice of True Republicans, when her coalition is made up of Dems, independents, Never Trumpers, and “the elites.”

You know the old adage about dancing with the one that brung you? Nikki Haley is living by the opposite ethos: She’s constantly dissing her actual voters and pretending that her “real” supporters are the people lining up to vote for Trump.

When you look at the exit polling you see that she does best with moderates, urbanites, and people with college or graduate degrees.

And yet Haley spends most of her time trashing this voting coalition. She’s not a Never Trumper! She hates the Democrats! She’s fighting against the elites in her high heels because it hurts more when you curb-stomp the socialists or whatever!

Haley does this weird thing where she pretends that her real support comes from True American MAGA types.

studying a language is never a waste of time. I can argue that from a number of ways, but in the end it is fun. French is good because about 1/3 of English comes from French, and there are a number of things that show in French that don't appear in English.
It is more than just Tintin (go read Tintin that is how I learned to read English in Humpty Dumpty magazine) it is also the Band Desinee which make Anime look dull and US Graphic novels look like chick tracts.
There are also online series and French movies

I go with the French movies too. It’s a good way to go. There are so many ways to look at languages. For sure in my area, there’s more demand for people who can speak Spanish, my idea is I will stand out there someone who can speak French. in the end you have to be who you are and I truly do like French and Spanish I just like French more. As someone who studied these languages a long time I come to realize in the end it has to be something that is inside you. There is a reason in French is the most studied second language on earth not Spanish. Most people who tell you, you have to learn Spanish never learn the language, nor even try.

317 In his official record, written by the scribes, Caiaphas worries that he really did kill the Messiah. Tries to reason with himself that it was prophesied to happen, and God must have chosen him to fulfill. Then called for Peter, John, and the two women Mary and Joana, who went to embalm Jesus. He records the women's story exactly as stated in the gospel. Then asks Peter and John if they can add anything else which hasn't been told by Jesus' enemies. They both relate several events, concurrent with the known gospels. Caiaphas was so taken aback that he locked himself in a room with his father in law and wife. They poured over the scrolls looking for more proof that he had not really just killed the Messiah. And while doing this, Jesus appeared to them and said that he came to forgive sinners like him, and he should repent. Caiaphas submitted his resignation as chief Priest.

This is also a lament she and Joseph shared with an interviewer years before. That he had no interest outside of hanging out with a retired priest and Lazarus talking scriptures. And if he was really the king of the jews he would be more famous.

Even in supposedly conservative Texas, the biggest battle is for conservatives to try to get control of the Texas House and take it away from the GOP-e, the Chamber of Commerce bunch, and the Bush Family org, all of which are working together to try and discredit Paxton. And now it's obvious that it's because Paxton is trying to investigate vote fraud, and they're doing anything they can to block him.
Just for the record, the Chamber of Commerce types broke with conservatives because they think they make a whole lot of money off of illegal immigration, and want to to see it continue. They're the ones building the colonias to house them.

Here in Pennsylvania there is a voters group which seems GOPish which has a goal of knocking on 500,000 doors between now and November. I think the Philadelphia cheat machine can be beat by firing up the boondocks to get out and vote. 'Likely voters' need a kick in the ass to become 'actual voters'.

All it's going to take is some horrendous rape or murder in this state of some young woman and 'Roe, Roe, Roe the vote' goes away. With all of these South and Central American countries who have opened up their jails and sent convicts north, it seems an unfortunate probability.

Even if you wanna focus on the dialect of Spain, there are so many. The one area of Spain I’ve been to the one I’m most interested in is Andulucia. That is the Spain of bullfights, Flanco dancing, And hard, right conservative views, supporting the right wing governments. It is also also the Spain where they pronounced term very similar to Latin America or Mexico.

My understanding is Indus in Spanish is most like American Spanish. We learn today. it is also very different. That is one of my issues with the Spanish., there are 10 or 12 dialects at least. The idea is a student or just fall into one for whatever reason. The thing was is everyone knows the dialect everyone wants to use it is the Parisian dialect.

384 A great unexplained secret is our military has been filled by a tiny few families in a tiny region. if you look at the US military is mostly southerners and people from states like West Virginia, Alabama, etc. It is a family business as the people that join now I had fathers that were also soldiers. Never before have we seen such a split where the majority of Americans know no one who serves or has served and they couldn’t even contemplate serving. This is not a good thing. Something is legitimately gone wrong.

But the reality is the military is in many ways of family business. There is a reason they tell teenagers we will pay you 50 or $60,000 to join and they still say no. In my day we joined for $2000 and we only got that after serving six years.

Reality is the military of family business and if they keep going with this shit, the family is going to say no more. The American does not want to serve and they don’t give a damn about this country. Let’s be honest about it. The military has historically been a southern institution, and they are trying to end it all, and they are saying the results of their warped plans.

Someone said years ago that the reason there’s so much prime beef, fit places like Walmart and Costco, etc. is not because the great steakhouse prime beef is out there but because they’re allowing other meat to be prime. Today they are slaughtering cows and female cows were prime meat, which is something they would never send to a high-end steakhouse, but they can call it prime. There’s a reason 20 years ago you could never buy prime meat at a regular store but now you can do it. it is not that the prime cattle simply became larger. It is because what we are allowing to be prime is different than it used to be.

Not exclusively southern - it's more like a series of cities around the country that are built around big bases; for example I have family in Omaha, a *very* military (mainly Air Force) town. The ironic source of the Southern location of so many big military bases is that during the 30's and 40's, Democrats still dominated Southern Politics, and demanding lots of bases be built in their home states (and thus all their friends could profit) was their price for staying loyal to FDR's coalition. FDR didn't mind, the north was still rich with industry and didn't need the bases.

No, it won't be. But we are slowly but surely gaining support in an organic way the left is powerless to stop.

The left started infiltrating all of our institutions in the 60s and 70s. It didn't all start with Obama, he was the cherry on top to "fundamentally change America" and far too many children of those years believed his bullshit. But the reality sucks and has pimp slapped many into realizing it. Trump is proof.

We can beat them. The left is throwing everything they have at Trump including the corrupt legal system and he just gets stronger. The first thing the left it was make a point of not teaching history or civics to our young and I’ll be honest with you. I also blame the parents they are not without blame.

In Mexico, going in there as an illegal immigrant is an actual crime that is punishable by prison. Sure that doesn’t happen now because they know they’re all going to America. The dimwit is in America. Don’t realize that the French, the Italians and even the Canadians don’t want them they don’t give a damn about them and they don’t want them to move there.

We have warped, young, but let’s be honest the parents of the young themselves have some blame coming to them.

I'd suggest looking for a place on VRBO (vacation rentals). When husband was in the hospital in Austin, I rented a little garage apartment within walking distance of the hospital. Much closer, cheaper, and safer than any of the Austin hotels.

Sometimes you can get a break on the rent if you're renting for a month or more, but you usually have to ask the owner for that. Also, if you are staying for a couple of months, you can rent condos that have a prohibition against short-term rentals so you will have more options.

We know San Franphyco really doesn’t like the French and that is totally normal. In Africa, the former Belgian area such as the Congo, or also French speaking. Francis, smaller than Colorado, But it makes crazy difference on the global scale. There’s a reason Americans and the French get pissed at each other. It is basically because they both think they are the model for everyone else.

I have many issues with the French, but the one thing you can’t say about them is they haven’t made in this issue of themselves over the years. There are many countries in most are just backwaters that no one ever thinks about. Some of them were former French colonies.

461 My understanding is Indus in Spanish is most like American Spanish. We learn today. it is also very different. That is one of my issues with the Spanish., there are 10 or 12 dialects at least. The idea is a student or just fall into one for whatever reason. The thing was is everyone knows the dialect everyone wants to use it is the Parisian dialect.
Posted by: Quint at March 02, 2024 10:07 AM (LX56V)

It has been argued that Spanish started out as a sort of Cajun, though they call it in Spanish a "Koine" after the vulgar Greek term, but it is a compromise language mixing Aragonese, some elements of Catalan and pronouncing it like Basque. It was more of a trade language to allow trade between southern France, the Pyrenees and Aragon, which is how Aragon became so powerful among the Christian kingdoms

Spanish is pretty unique among the various vulgate tongues in southern Europe, even against Portuguese, Catalan and Occitanian in how it is pronounced, and its rigid verb tenses does indicate "engineered" roots.
My two cents, and semi-interested philological studies

Israel is demanding that as a condition of possible short term ceasefire that they be given the names of all hostages that are alive.
From what I've been reading, they are recovering bodies that they thought were hostages but were actually killed on 10/7.
The only leverage Hamas has left is the hostages. They have lost the war but refuse to surrender. The international community refuses to ask them to surrender. They directly supporting terrorism as a technique for achieving one's goals. Or rather legitimizing it.

I would expect your BP would be rather high in a stress situation like that! Get yourself one of those little BP monitors that they sell at nearly all pharmacies now, and take your own BP readings when your are relaxed at home. Keep a log. If your BP is still in the danger range, then see a doctor and get meds. They are not hard to tolerate. Exceedingly high BP is a precursor to a stroke.

481 Whoever carries MI will be inaugurated as the next POTUS in Jan. '25.

That's what it all comes down to. Trump is flipping GA, AZ & NV well outside the MOE (and the margin of fraud).

PA & WI are well within the MOE, & Biden may well win these 2, altho he trails slightly in WI at the moment.

In addition to winning GA, AZ & NV, Trump needs to flip ONE additional state to get to the magic 270.

Hello, MI!

The RCP avg for MI has Trump +2, & more than 2 if RFK,JR & others are included.

The voters who voted "uncommitted" in the MI DEM primary are approximately equal to Biden's 2020 margin of victory. These are Arab voters, & a few Bernie Bros..
