Another Betrayal By McConnell: The Ukraine Aid Bill He Wrote Contains an "Impeachment Time Bomb" Provision Making It Illegal for Any Future President to NOT Fund Ukraine
Surprise! Scary New Threat from RUSSIA Now Premiering on Regime TV

I missed this a couple of days ago. Let me fix this now.

Not only does this decrepit traitor want to fund Ukraine and not fund America's own border security, he wants to make it a grounds for impeachment if any future president -- like Trump, obviously -- says "no" to Ukraine funding.

But it's worse than that. Because McConnell knows he could have all the Ukraine funding he could ever want if he also funds America's border and agrees to deport most illegals.

But he doesn't want the pro-security, pro-America side to even have that leverage over him. He doesn't want to secure the American border in exchange for securing Ukraine's. He doesn't want Trump to have the power to say, "Fund my border wall and reinstate the provisions for deporting illegals, or else no more Ukraine funding."

So he's crafted a bill which secretly* demands funding for Ukraine for the next five years.

Rand Paul
@RandPaul

Republicans need to be aware that this bill, supported by Mitch McConnell and almost all of Senate GOP leadership, sets in motion the next hyper-partisan Trump impeachment (before he's even elected!)

Vivek Ramaswamy
@VivekGRamaswamy

Here's the game & many Republicans are falling for the trap:

- In 2019, they impeached Trump for withholding Ukraine funding "over the objection of career experts."

- The current Ukraine bill sends $$ to the exact same DoD fund & the same "career experts" will support spending it.

- If Trump tries to pause that funding to negotiate an end to the Ukraine war, they'll use this toxic funding bill as leverage to impeach again.

Shame on every Republican who votes for this bill, they'll be responsible for the outcome when it happens.

And isn't this a big coincidence? As the Uniparty exerts maximum pressure on Speaker Johnson to schedule a vote on this Traitor's Bill, the House Intelligence Commmittee suddenly unveils BREAKING NEWS warning of a URGENT NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT from -- get this! -- RUSSIA.

Update: It's Just One Op After Another.

* Yes I know, how "secret" is this when it's in the bill? But you know, they keep these bills' language absolutely tip-top-secret until twenty minutes before a vote. As Nancy Pelosi said about the secret Obamacare bill: "You have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

48 Seems a bit pointless. Congress can always impeach the president for not following the law. Sounds like they're setting up their smokescreen excuse for not impeaching Mayorkas. Well, the law doesn't SAY we can impeach him...

The key to not getting impeached with an uppity Congress is having a bigger stick. Which shouldn't be har... difficult... With these smooth crotches.

54 ... So he's crafted a bill which secretly* demands funding for Ukraine for the next five years.
++++
Then it's up to the future Congress to ignore that law. In a way, this is a forced inflection point that didn't need to be there.

Assume that Trump wins, that he vetoes a Ukraine funding bill because of whatever reason. This poison pill now comes into play. What happens next?

First, the House will work to impeach him. Then, it has to actually manage to impeach him. Then it has to go the Senate. Then the Senate has to actually convict him. Then the Senate has to remove him. Normal stuff.

Regardless of outcome, ii would force the issue and move the ball significantly one direction or the other. If it works and Trump is removed in this hypothetical scenario, then it finishes off the idea of executive agency. If the operation fails and Trump remains, then it finishes off the idea of impeachment as a viable strategy (and of Congress as an effective branch of government).

I don't like this, but it would at least be somewhat clarifying.

82 Tillis: "Our base cannot possibly know what's at stake at the level that any well-briefed U.S. senator should know about what's at stake if Putin wins"
++++
Okay, Tillis. I have a crazy idea for you, but hear me out. Don't just snap to judgement.

Tell us. That's right, tell us. What are the stakes? What are the risks? What are the probabilities?

You and your ilk have spend the past several decades destroying your ability to say, "this is important and I need you to trust me" and have anyone take it seriously. That's on you, and it is what it is. When there is an absence of trust in your judgement - and there *is* a widespread absence of trust in your judgement - it requires data an a supporting argument instead.

So make the argument. Support it with real information. Trust is a two-way street. If you want me to believe you that this is *the* issue at hand right now and that the risks are existential (you are implying they are), then tell me why. Trust me to judge that information for myself and then decide whether or not I concur with your exception.

But the days of "trust me, bro" are over. You ended them. Bring the data.

132 A lot of what is happening now goes back to the fall of the Wall and the belief that rather than ending NATO, which should have been done, it needed a new focus. One of the chief architects of that new focus was none other than Dick, father of Liz, Cheney.

>>The end of the Cold War, the fall of the Soviet Union, and the disintegration of the Warsaw Pact obliged the Bush administration to reevaluate NATO's purpose and makeup. How to restructure the alliance and modify its strategy to reflect changes in the military situation posed major questions for Cheney. He believed that NATO had to remain the foundation of European security relationships and that it would continue to be important to the United States in the long term. At the last NATO meeting he attended, in Brussels in December 1992, Cheney said that the alliance needed to lend more assistance to the new democracies in Eastern Europe and eventually offer them membership in NATO. Central and Eastern Europe, he told his NATO colleagues, presented the most threatening potential security problems in the years ahead. The current problem, rather than East versus West, was East and West versus instability.

They are Uniparty RINO Never Trumpers, and their position is predictable. The issue is the 10+(?) senators who are NOT reliably Uniparty RINO Never Trumpers that voted for this. Why did they? Do we really not have enough votes for a filibuster in the senate? If it was predictable for *them* to vote for this all along, nobody should be that bent out of shape about this. Mitch McConnell is the most destructive person in the US government. Period. No one else even gets close. He made it clear to President Trump that the people Trump chose to carry out his agenda would never be confirmed. He forced Trump to chose from the McConnell list so they would get confirmed thereby insuring those appointees would be loyal to McConnell rather than Trump. McConnell also refused to recess the Senate so Trump would have an opportunity for recess appointments.
Everyone complains about Trump choosing awful people but everyone also seems to forget that McConnell forced his own picks on Trump repeatedly. Trump is not perfect and some of his own choices were questionable but McConnell forced a lot of that.
Mitch the bitch deserves milady guillotine.

But the days of "trust me, bro" are over. You ended them. Bring the data.

No, they don't have guts or principles. I have heard for years that they want us beaten down and discouraged. And yes, I do get quite pessimistic about the state of just about everything, but I've given up hope. Yep, I've given up hope that anything even remotely trying to turn around this burning pile of garbage called America will ever happen. The problem is too big. The players in Washington, both the visible "representatives" of the people (HA FREAKING HA) and the deep state IC community are too entrenched. The left has all the money. They have covered every base. And now the country is flooded with illegals to permanently cement their power forever. My hope is non-existent.

223 One of the strangest smuggling stories in recent memory was a New York Times' report of a service using secret tunnels to deliver KFC from Egypt to Gaza. At an inflated $27 per 12-piece bucket, this well-traveled fast food took more than four hours to arrive in the densely populated coastal strip, where the entry and exit of many goods remain restricted.

The whole Russia collusion was about Trump's announced plan to change our bi-partisan and disastrous foreign policy that has been in place for decades and move toward a less aggressive, world cop mode and more toward America First. The DC swamp was built on the foreign policy of America everywhere and they saw Trump as a mortal threat.

Russia went from Reset Button to worse than Hitler in the blink of an eye and places like Georgia and Ukraine became one of our most important missions and if you didn't agree you were an enemy of the state and anything could be done to you.

And it's always implemented as National Socialism, and or fascism.

Marxism is how they draw it up, but it amounts to fascism--just as Mussolini predicted it would.

"Communism" is the idea that the state should wither away and we should all live in equal-share communes. That's not at all what Revolution + Dictatorship (in the name) of the Proletariat come to.

This is the political fight that the Founding Fathers had fighting a world wide empire. They fought it for ten years and even took numerous casualties before deciding enough and set sail on a skiff made of paper.

All that evidence and prep work was reflected in that document and the population by and large agreed with it. That is what is necessary and for that reason, the political spadework has to be done to wake the normies to turn them against Leviathan.

375 Not to my knowledge. Jerry Pournelle at Boeing came up with the idea in the late 50s. According to him, it would release the same energy as 11 tons of TNT. Even after it hit atmosphere, it would be moving at about 3 km per second.

"Rods from G-d" would probably work, but there's the problem of moving the mass up there. Very, very expensive to move large amounts of mass that far up. Probably cheaper to build a nuke when all is said and done.

The approach in "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" is much more reasonable: hurl heavy rocks at Earth from low-gravity catapults on the Moon where the gravity well is much easier to escape.

Of course, that presupposes the existence of a moon base.

376 Considering the Panic of the Senate Turtles, the amount of graft that has flowed through Ukraine's hands must be staggering. The Spice must flow, or else!

I guess most Senators get the spice flowing from Defense Contractors rather than Ukraine proper, tho I remember some relative of Mitt having a job out there a few years back.

There are opinion leaders but damn few experts. Experts care about getting it right regardless whether the heavens may fall. 'Experts' like Krugman care about being on the right side of the consensus and are all about issuing gaseous emissions instead of nasty cold hard facts.

As a person who saw the "Expert Class" coming decades ago, and a proud layman, I get that.

I'm just criticizing the soundness of the argument. But in most disciplines there are a lot of questions at the top.

Not just one. Multiple skeletons, with links to Biden, Romney, and I'm sure a crapload of others. Let's not forget the 2014 coup engineered by Nuland and BHO. And possible biowarfare labs.

It reeks to high Heaven.

389 WITAF IS GOING ON in Ukraine that the Deep State is so hot and horny for it???

Are they building a Death Star underground over there? Is it the junction point for all of the globalists' money flows? Is it the central Nexus of bioweapon development for the world?

Because they sure are acting like something extremely high stakes could be revealed in Ukraine. Something with their filthy fingerprints all over it.

That statement from an elected US Senator just reeks of his hubris and is evidence he should never hold another elected office. What an arrogant douchebag.
