Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 2/6/24![]() McConnell cited the overwhelming number of Senate Republicans planning to vote against the measure either on substance or because they wanted more time, according to Punchbowl News. The longtime Republican leader has spoken in favor of the deal and did not express any personal hesitations about the legislation to his colleagues. . . Leaked details of the secretive deal, which McConnell’s chosen Republican lead negotiator Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) and other allies denied, were confirmed Sunday upon the bill’s release. The overwhelming opposition led to McConnell altering his plan Monday night. Even Lankford, who continued championing the deal leading up to Monday night’s Senate Republican Conference meeting, would not say after the meeting if he would vote to move forward Wednesday on the deal he negotiated, according to the Huffington Post.A word of caution thinking McCocksucker is surrendering. Think of the many instances during WW2 in the Pacific of cornered Jap soldiers emerging from a cave with a white flag who suddenly raise their arms high – and let two live grenades drop. This is not so much a surrender as it is a tactical retreat on the part of the sputtering, bejoweled globalist fraud. An unrelenting push for amnesty and citizenship for illegal aliens has been going on for decades. I always thought it was a minor miracle that in the waning days of the Dubya debacle, his drive for amnesty was effectively thwarted by a surprisingly effective mass public outcry. The Democrats obviously want this so they can have a permanent electoral majority; an insurance policy on top of the insurance policy of stealing the elections they can't outright win, as well as the ideological garbage of destroying our culture and national identity from within. All they have to do is turn Texas blue and its really lights out forever. That's not so farfetched a possibility as it once was. The RINO CoC-suckers want cheap labor and don't care about how they get it. That is until they are ultimately lined up in front of a wall by the same people they thought were the "loyal opposition across the aisle." Fools. That mythical aisle will be erased soon after the border goes, and them along with it once we turn into the Democratic Peoples Republic of . . . not America since that word connotes white people, colonialism, imperialism and every other "ism" including the one beginning with "j." I assume McChao is trying to figure out who can either be bribed or threatened via the giving or withholding of campaign funding, patronage, etc. As stated yesterday, he needed 9 RINOs to end the filibuster/debate phase, and I counted 7 definites and quite a number of probables that would've put him over the line. But with even Skanford retreating, and my perception that they are losing the messaging/propaganda battle on this, and that Speaker Johnson has called it DOA in the House, we can at least breathe a sigh of relief. For now. The disaster inflicted on all of us is far and away the #1 with a bullet, pun fully intended, issue on everyone's mind. Taylor Strumpet can flash her pierced mons veneris and endorse Biden to her heart-shaped merkin's delight. But being thin, attractive and whiter than Maris Crane in a blizzard is not going to endear her to throngs of woke racialist BLMsters, and certainly not the majority of normal blacks and others enraged at the crime, disease and economic dislocations 8 million more foreign peasants (with more than a soupçon of military-aged male Chi-Coms and Religion of Peace peaceniks™ ![]() The Islamic Republic of Iran now has enough weapons grade uranium to produce a nuclear weapon within a week, according to a new report. The Institute for Science and International Security said that the threat level with respect to Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon had entered into its “extreme danger” rating, the first time the threat level has ever gone that high, according to a report obtained by the Free Beacon. The report said that the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program has “increased dramatically” since May 2023, in part due to the series of events that have unfolded in the wake of the Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack on Israel. “The volatile situation in the region is providing Iran with a unique opportunity and increased internal justification for building nuclear weapons while the United States and Israel’s resources to detect and deter Iran from succeeding are stretched thin,” the report said. “The ongoing conflicts are leading to the neglect of the Iranian nuclear threat at a time when Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities have never been greater.” . . . The most alarming area of concern that the report identified was the nuclear breakout time for Iran, which refers to the amount of time that it would take the country to develop a nuclear weapon given its current capabilities. “If Iran wanted to further enrich its 60 percent enriched uranium up to 90 percent weapon-grade uranium (WGU), used in Iran’s known nuclear weapons designs from the Amad Plan, it could do so quickly,” the report said. “It can break out and produce enough weapon-grade enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon in a week, using only a fraction of its 60 percent enriched uranium. This breakout could be difficult for inspectors to detect promptly, if Iran took steps to delay inspectors’ access.” . . . Rebeccah Heinrichs, senior fellow at Hudson Institute and the director of its Keystone Defense Initiative, highlighted how [the] notion [that] the Obama-Biden Iran nuclear [deal] was supposed to “moderate” the Iranians was a farce. “Instead it flushed it with cash and Iran invested in its terrorism missions and its military,” she said. “Now it’s exporting weapons across the world, driving the proxy attacks against US forces, and advancing its nuclear program. Biden’s attempts to resurrect the disastrous deal and placate the Iran regime by waiving sanctions has resulted in a more capable, violent, and defiant regime.”Four years ago, Iran was on the ropes thanks to the policies of President Trump. Four years later, Iran is perhaps weeks or even days away now of a nuclear breakout. And Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants has to both pretend to confront Iran over its de facto blockade of the Suez Canal/Red Sea trade route and attacks on our troops in the region while fellating the mullahs because they are doing all they can to make them the regional power in the Middle East. Israel be damned. Literally. Israel has vowed that Iran will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. So is Biden going to have to assist Israel (along with the Saudis and GCC) in a potential first strike, especially now that he's been forced to militarily confront them in retaliation for killing US servicemen (which is funny since he or the Muslim plants all over the DoD and CIA are tipping them off either with or without his approval!), or will he tip off the Iranians should he be privy to their plans? That might be a moot point. Remember: Venezuela is one of Iran's closest allies. Iran for decades has caused trouble in Latin America. Think back to the terror bombing of the Buenos Aires AMIA Jewish Community Center. Turns out that none other than Qassem Soleimani, who Trump vaporized four years ago, was the mastermind behind that bombing. In any case, with a wide open border for the past three years, Iran might decide to test the lethality of its uranium not on Tel Aviv, but somewhere here with a radiological dirty bomb. But Trump said "pussy."

Victory (for now). @LeaderMcConnell is now telling Republicans to block the Lankford-Schumer Borderless Bill. Kudos to him for recognizing that Republicans in the Senate and grassroots patriots across the country are totally against it. This bill would make the open border the law of the land. Major win for America and the MAGA movement. Major loss for Biden, RINOs, and the Far-Left who want to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who are invading our country. Thank you to the Republicans Senators who did the right thing and said NO to this America Last catastrophe. 8:40 PM · Feb 5, 2024 · 173.4K Views Posted by: andycanuck (2yu8s) at February 06, 2024 07:43 AM (2yu8s) 7

Is it really that cheap. The current (2020 numbers) real cost of illegals is >$430 Billion per year. Walmarts Wages 7,654 and Self-insurance 4,652 are $12 Billion total so that cost of cheap labor is about 35 Walmarts. So now add another 9 Million since 2020. --- That ain't far-fetched at all. Iran could strike us with some form of nuclear weapon *FIRST* knowing that it would kneecap our ability to aid Israel. There is nothing to celebrate; the monster will eat you before you kill it, there is no example of bravery or aggression to argue the point. The entire point of this fake immigration bill is to try and take away support for Trump. The bill is designed to allow mass illegal immigration and in the text it specifically states that nothing in it can be overridden until 2029, which happens to be after the next presidential term. The goal is to prevent any action that would actually stop illegals.

This is as good a time to as any to have this fight.
Everyone in the GOP knows that open borders policy isn't just unpopular - it's radioactive with three quarters of the public. Only the hardest core NPCs still want the Aztecs here anymore. Normally, their nominal fear of enraging the public is overcome by carrot-and-stick internal discipline from the GOP leadership, whose bribes, blackmail, and election machinery keep them """"loyal.""" But, right now? McCarthy was just ousted, and McConnell is fading fast. He's done soon, whether through retirement or the reaper, and succession to the Cuck King's throne of dicks is still uncertain. Their Democrat overlords are in disarray over their own senile leader, and their bête noire has emerged from his Florida swamp, slain their flaccid champions, and harasses their citadel once again. They are leaderless, confused, and frightened little cucklings at the moment. Might actually be good for something, for once. Being harangued into submission is something, I suppose. Joseph Nye Claims Trump Supporters Are a Greater Threat Than China
Penultimate paragraph: Americans have more to fear from the rise of populist nationalism at home than they do from the rise of China. Populist policies, such as refusing to support Ukraine or withdrawing from NATO, would do great damage to US soft power. If Trump wins the presidency in November, this year could be a turning point for American power. Finally, the sense of decline might be justified. If you want to know how far the Left will go for XYZ, there's not really an answer to that besides "as far as they have to." Nothing's ever going to be enough for them, and they can't silence the voice in their heads spurring them on for MOAR POWER.
They'd always prefer to gain it the easy way, through schemes and backroom deals and cheesy parliamentary parlor tricks, but nothing is ever off the table. They view Trump's voters as a potentially fatal threat to their power. If they can't publicly emasculate him in the institutions once more, they'll try to jail him, and failing that, then sure, of course they'll kill him. It's a solution. The whole Oct 7th operation was to get the Israelis distracted. As long as the Iranians limit the attack to Israel, the Russians and China will not pressure them. The big question is where the the Saudis and Pakistan stand in a nuclear Iran world.
This issue has always been pushed to the back burner by the West. It's way past time to have some serious discussions about this. Border Bill Truth Test.
One week ago the southern USA border was secure according to the Kolorama Krew. Today, if this cocked up mess of a border bill is not immediately passed into law the border will not be secure. Both cannot be true. But both can be false. Of course both are false. 370 pages to secure the border is nonsense. A one page law covers it. If you come over the border illegally and are caught at the border you are immediately deported without a hearing. It was very telling when Obama got involved in the fight to say Gay at Harvard. They've been turning our universities into hotbeds of anti-American agitation for years, now with the added twist of rampant anti-Semitism. This is where our future "leaders" are created, where a lot of public policy emanates from. They are fully onboard with the retarded woke agenda and openly pro open borders and pro-terrorist. The Republicans have never said what their starting positions were going into the border bill negotiations, so one can't be sure whether they got what they wanted or not.
I suspect they did, which makes the bill even worse, as it shows that the American people are lower than 3rd on their list of concerns. 1. We must defend Ukraine's border 2. Israel must be able to defend their border. 3 The rest of the world has more right to American soil than American citizens do. 4. At the same time Sen Lankford wants to give DC federal judges control over our immigration system, the courthouse is bracing for a major sh*tshow--in fact, it already is--if SCOTUS reverses an appellate court decision on DOJ's application of 1512c2, obstruction of an official proceeding.
Every judge except one (Nichols) refused to dismiss the post-Enron law DOJ slapped against 320+ J6ers and Donald Trump. But since SCOTUS granted cert in December, some judges have released a few from prison, delayed sentencing and trials for others, and urged DOJ to seek plea deals on other counts. (This is Judge Beryl Howell, former chief judge, during a hearing a few days after SCOTUS took the case.) It is impossible to overstate just what a black eye this will be for the entire DC district court, the DC US attorney's office, and the entire DOJ if SCOTUS overturns how DOJ used the statute. These are the same judges Lankford and others want to empower in deciding the "constitutionality" of his alleged immigration bill. Posted by: SMOD at February 06, 2024 08:38 AM (RHGPo) 190

Because they are favored-status, their faces were blurred in the photo of the arrest, so we don't know if poster-boy-two-fingers is caught. I'm going with no. Deport? Prison here? Where could any be tried without risk of jury nullification? Every single city is deep blue, so there's no pool of jurors from which to find twelve willing to convict. Earl Hindman, who played Wilson, appeared in every season of the series, starting with the pilot in 1991 and ending with the final episode in 1999. While technically an episode, the final edition of "Home Improvement" was actually a behind-the-scenes special titled "Backstage Pass" that aired immediately after the final story-based episode. After a half hour of cast interviews and tours of the studio, the cast all gets together for a final bow before the live audience. It is here, for the first time, that viewers got to see Wilson's face. Sadly, it would be one of the last times. The longtime film and TV star died of lung cancer in 2003. Recall that McCarthy regularly negotiated with these Democrats and never denied them their asks.
And when it came time to cash in the "favors" he was sure he amassed? Of course they stabbed him in the face. And of course he blames .... Republicans. "Negotiating" with Republicans on amnesty is a win-win-win for Dems. They get all of what they wanted. Or most of what they wanted. Or Republicans suiciding by betraying their base. Posted by: Smell the Glove at February 06, 2024 08:41 AM (4ETP4) The bill serves two purposes: 1. It provides a propaganda tool in that Trump opposes the "Super Duper Ultra Impregnable Border" bill. 2. Assuming that fails, like all their other stratagems, it prevents Trump from doing anything about the border. Decisions on the border are put in the hands of the Secretary of DHS, not the President, and are unreviewable. And, as many people forget, the Secretary of DHS must be confirmed by the Senate and they won't permit a border hawk in the role. While Q4 GDP rose by $329 billion to $27.939 trillion, a respectable if made-up number, what is much more disturbing is that over the same time period, the U.S. budget deficit rose by more than 50%, or $510 billion. And the cherry on top: The increase in public U.S. debt in the same three-month period was a stunning $834 billion, or 154% more than the increase in GDP. In other words, it now takes $1.55 in budget deficit to generate $1 of growth… and it takes over $2.50 in new debt to generate $1 of GDP growth!

In Huge Reversal, GOP Poised To Kill The Border-Ukraine Package It Demanded.
The do nothing party. All the blame should be piled onto Trump. Every day of Biden’s presidency all we hear about is Trump. I don’t remember this happening with any other President and I’ll be 72 years old soon. He ruins everything. The very overt way in which McConnell is hanging Lankford out to dry is so public and just horrendous. Even I can't be happy about a very RW Senator from Oklahoma being treated this way. The question is, will he fight back? They have left him very vulnerable in his own state--whose R party has apparently filed a resolution AGAINST him. Mcconnell's strategy in action. Remember when his said his plan was to make Obama a one term president? Vote against something you campaigned for in the past and will do again if Presidential candidate wins this year’s election. All the more reason to support Dems. Not that we needed it, but should increase the enthusiasm for Biden. Wonder what caused Moscow Mitch's reversal? But even if we got a 4-year re-run of his first three years last time that’d be great (no one wants to re-live 2020… the worst year of my life… not personally but in the nation as a whole). US thermal coal exporters recorded more than $5 billion in overseas sales in 2023, shipping upwards of 32.5 million metric tons of the high-polluting power fuel, according to Reuters, citing data from ship-tracking firm Kpler. These coal export earnings were the second highest since 2017, trailing only behind 2022's $5.7 billion. This comes as US utility coal usage for electricity generation tumbles to the lowest in this century.

Trump did nothing?
His slashing of regulations alone was enough to commend. He put China on its heels for the first time in modern history through Bob Lighthizer's savvy and tough trade negotiations. Manufacturers were abandoning China and Mexico to return to US -- reversing a terrible trend. Scrapped the Paris Accords, made Middle East inroads not seen before, moved US embassy to Jerusalem, brought back hostages from all over. Economic growth and workforce stats were best in generations. Yes, there were reforms he didn't make, but to say he "did nothing" is ridiculous. Posted by: Ordinary American at February 06, 2024 09:10 AM (8kx2K) 314

After the initial screaming from the left when it was announced it got lost in the election coverage. Posted by: SMOD at February 06, 2024 09:03 AM (RHGPo) ++++ One of the key logical failures of how GDP (and GNP) is calculated is that deficit spending still counts as accretive rather than decremental. There is an argument - and one I increasingly subscribe to - that government spending should not be included in economic product *at all* because it is at best neutral spending and usually inefficient spending and so the addition to production is lower than it would be had someone who is *not* the government spent the same money. But that aside - there are sound arguments on both sides of that one - government deficit spending should *never* be included in GDP. It is always either synthetically pulled-forward demand or it is inflationary. There is no other option. You goosed the numbers by faking current demand at the expense of the future, or you goosed the numbers by degrading the currency. Neither should count as production. Posted by: Lizzy at February 06, 2024 09:17 AM (RXyKO) ++++ Whoever is in dominant control is the subject of the rebellion. No point at all in rebelling against the powerless. Back when the Left was laying the groundwork for its revolution, the Left was not in control. The system against which they were rebelling was not authoritarian, but the one they were building was. Yet that doesn't matter. There's a dominant power system and those who hate it and want to topple it so as to replace it with one its own. The Left achieved that. They toppled the dominant power system and took it over. *They* are the dominant power system now. It was built and is controlled by them. They're the bosses. Any rebellion - of whatever sort, whether you're an anarchist or a conservative or a monarchist or whatever - is by definition against *them.* The Left is not counterculture anymore. It's the culture, and the counterculture (and there will *always* be one) is now arrayed against them. They just *believe* that they are still the "counterculture." Continuous revolution. -- Blinkens backhanded congrats to Nayib Bukele WTF is a Root Causes Strategy? Just after we took office, President Joe Biden outlined our Administration’s vision to reform our immigration system by creating a pathway to citizenship for the nearly 11 million undocumented migrants in our country, modernizing our immigration process, and effectively managing our border. Shortly after that, the President asked me to lead our nation’s efforts to address the root causes of that migration. That is because migration to our border is also a symptom of much larger issues in the region. >>How is it that the STILL insist that there are only 11 million illegals here, after using that # for 40+ years?!? As has been noted, there were more amnesties than just the 86 amnesties, all of the amnesty deals had mechanisms that would regularize illegal aliens, individually and in bulk. Take the monstrosity of a border bill they are trying to force down our throats. There is a provision to accelerate asylum claims at the border, circumventing courts, which means essentially, everybody who makes across the border is granted asylum and a green card. A dirty little secret about asylum is that after five years, you automatically become a US citizen. There is also all kinds of other nonsense built into all of these amnesties that simply wave a wand and make aliens, citizens. So at any point in time, the statement, "We Only Have 10-11 Million Illegals," could be true. Posted by: Thomas Bender at February 06, 2024 09:36 AM (XV/Pl) 401

The thing to remember is, if this bill is dead or even delayed since it is political kryptonite to the Democrats in the run-up to November, the border remains wide open and there is literally zero enforcement of who and what is coming into this country.
This makes it sound like the bill has anything to do with the border being open - it doesn't. the Border can be closed at any time. Laws can be enforced. Don't fall for the lies that said this bill is necessary to close the border or get control of the border - this bill is meaningless.
