A Trump RICO Co-Defendant Files a Motion to Recuse Fani Willis, Citing Her Inflammatory, Race-Baiting Declaration In a Black Church That "The Only Thing I'm Guilty Of Is Loving Too Moistly"

Not only did she play the race card, seeking to inflame Fulton County jurors against any defendant questioning her torrid sex affair with Darrius "Sweetdick" Honeycum, Esq., but she specifically said she was playing "the race card."

Well, she says she's playing the race card in response to the defendants playing the race card first.

This isn't just prejudiced, it's prejudicial.

Like the motion from fellow Trump co-defendant Michael Roman, which similarly aimed at the relationship between Willis and lead prosecutor Nathan Wade, Shafer says that the DA's "prejudicial" comments in January at Big Bethel A.M.E. Church in Atlanta amount to an attempt to bias future jury members.
In remarks at the church, Willis said that she was "confused" as to why Wade, who was one of three special prosecutors her office hired, was the only one facing public scrutiny.
"I appointed three special counsel, as is my right to do," she said to parishioners. "Paid them all the same hourly rate. They only attack one. I hired one white woman, a good personal friend and great lawyer. A superstar, I tell you, I hired one white man, brilliant, my friend and a great lawyer. And I hired one Black man. Another superstar a great friend and a great lawyer. Oh, Lord, they're going to be mad when I call them out on this nonsense. First thing they say. Oh, she going to play the race card now? But no. God, isn't it them who's playing the race card when they only question one?"
This, Shafer says, was an obvious attempt to affect a potential jury.
"Rather than properly addressing the accuracy of Mr. Roman's allegations, the District Attorney chose a church setting to deflect the Roman allegations by making the most offensive and incendiary allegations against her accusers -- forcing the defendants onto the lethal third rail of American politics, and in her own words, 'playing the race card,'" the motion says. "The obvious intent of her remarks was to inject and infect the jury pool in Fulton County with unfounded allegations that anyone who dares question her or Mr. Wade's conduct must have done so for racist purposes. As an attorney and, most importantly, a public prosecutor, her comments which directly affected the pending litigation were indefensible and reprehensible."

I mean, this is a bang-on. This is no stretch. She went to a black church to smear the defendant who raised this issue as a racist Klansman.

CNN analyst Elie Honig raised the same issue last week at NY Magazine. He noted that other courts had slapped Trump with gag orders to keep him from influencing jurors, and pointed out that Willis' remarks at the church was at least as bad as anything Trump might have done.

I remember when Bob Vander Plaats came to my home church (around the time of his governor run, I think). He's considered an evangelical kingmaker in Iowa, but he's from my area, so he's up here a lot. He didn't preach, he didn't do the prayer, he just got up for the special announcements and invited us to a prayer vigil (I want to say it was for Pro-Life Sunday). And that's all he thought he was allowed to do. Had my church not been lily-white, I'm sure it would have been a different story.

Currently, the law prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501(c)(3) organization as one "which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office."

The IRS has published Revenue Ruling 2007-41PDF, which outlines how churches, and all 501(c)(3) organizations, can stay within the law regarding the ban on political activity. Also, the ban by Congress is on political campaign activity regarding a candidate; churches and other 501(c)(3) organizations can engage in a limited amount of lobbying (including ballot measures) and advocate for or against issues that are in the political arena. The IRS also has provided guidance regarding the difference between advocating for a candidate and advocating for legislation. See political and lobbying activities.

Each election cycle, the IRS reminds 501(c)(3) exempt organizations to be aware of the ban on political campaign activity. The IRS published its most recent reminder in a public news release which you can read here...

We were FURIOUS. Why the fuck was this woman from ACCOUNTING fucking up everyone's Labor Day weekend plans? Why was she required to be there during this software testing effort?

we went to see "Argyle" yesterday.

The theater wasn't filled *ahem*, so it was easy to see the folks who really enjoyed the movie. No one brought their cats so I'm assuming "cat-ladies" cuz of their laughter at all of the cat humor parts. Also, at all the Extreme!!!!11111!!!! Mary Sue moments.

I didn't hate the movie, exactly. The multiple reveals that the critic complain about. They more or less lead into one another within the "logic" of the movie.

However, I'm convinced that "Argyle" was originally written as a musical comedy wherein they decided to leave the song out and more or less left in the crazy dance numbers.

somewhere in the last 1/3 to 1/4 of the movie your suspension of believe, which is already strained, will shatter as five foot nuthin' and 40 lbs heavier Bryce Dallas Howard becomes (MINOR SPOILER) the ass-kickling Mary Sue of all Time,

and in the silliest way possible.

Matthew Vaugh apparently wanted his movie to be a frothy, silly, dancing spy spoof without preparing us as an audience at all for this. You will check out of this movie hard (cont)

I've spent many holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. on the road. Hell, my mom had to get a ride from another officer to the hospital when I was being born cause the Army had other plans for my dad that day.
