Elderly Fabulist and Clainmed Frequent Rape VictimE. Jean Carroll, Who Has Accused Seven Men of Raping Her, Celebrates Her Outrageous Jury Award By Promising to Buy Rachel Maddow Dresses
Nikki Haley Says the Jury Got It Right

ABC "News," headed by Clinton spin room leader George Stephanopolous:

Three days after a jury awarded her over $83 million for Donald Trump's repeated defamatory statements, columnist E. Jean Carroll vowed to use the money on "something Donald Trump hates."

"If it'll cause him pain for me to give money to certain things, that's my intent," Carroll told George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America," suggesting she would create a "fund for the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump."

After a two-week trial, a jury took less than three hours on Friday to return a verdict that Trump should pay Carroll over $83 million in damages to compensate her for two defamatory statements made by the former president in 2019 after she alleged Trump sexually assaulted her in 1996.

E. Jean Carroll was awarded $5 million for the "sexual assault" the civil jury claimed occurred. (Not the rape, note: They did not find that.)

But this new jury awarded $83 million for Trump calling her a "wack job," which she plainly is.

She went on Rachel Maddow to celebrate because Rachel Maddow is a real journalist and of course real journalists celebrate partisan court victories with their interview subjects:

Megyn Kelly discussed it on yesterday's show.

Nikki Haley, who is trying to win back the donations of leftwing billionaires like Reid Hoffman, says the jury got it right.

Related: The AP admits that the NYS fraud prosecution against Trump -- in which "Tish" James is seeking $400 million+ in non-damages because Trump evaluated his assets and "Tish" James disagrees with those evaluations -- is entirely unprecedented, and no person has ever before been prosecuted for what the state claims is mis-evaluating their assets where no one was defrauded or even lost any money at all.

Within days, Donald Trump could potentially have his sprawling real estate business empire ordered "dissolved" for repeated misrepresentations on financial statements to lenders, adding him to a short list of scam marketers, con artists and others who have been hit with the ultimate punishment for violating New York's powerful anti-fraud law.

An Associated Press analysis of nearly 70 years of civil cases under the law showed that such a penalty has only been imposed a dozen previous times, and Trump's case stands apart in a significant way: It's the only big business found that was threatened with a shutdown without a showing of obvious victims and major losses.

Lawyers for the state in Trump's monthslong civil trial have argued that the principles of fair play in business alone are enough to justify a harsh penalty, but even they aren't calling for the prospect of liquidation of his businesses and properties raised by a judge.

37 >>The worst thing leftists have done to this country is to destroy the judicial system. This wasn't a trial, it was a planned execution.

Carroll had no evidence, had to get the NY law changed to even bring the case, the judge and Carroll worked together previously at the same law firm and never declared their conflict and the jury found Trump innocent of rape anyway. The judge didn't even let him put up a defense and they still didn't convict him of rape because it didn't happen.

Yet they still give this crazy bitch $83 million. It will likely get tossed on appeal over any of a number of issues but this is a disgrace.

Posted by: JackStraw at January 31, 2024 04:32 PM (ZLI7S)

38 I mean, people do realize that in both the original civil trial and the subsequent defamation trials that the judge didn't allow the defendant/lawyers to make any arguments in his own defense and essentially mandated directed guilty verdicts?

And I won't even get started on NYS literally changing the law to allow for this nut bag to sue as the statute of limitations had already run out.

There really is only one system of justice and it's mission is to get Trump by any means necessary.

Seven-time rape dreamer gets law changed to give her ex post right to sue, sues with no evidence, no police report, and cashes in thanks to TDS sweeping through the court house.

Crazy Tush James sues for complete non-crime of estimating value of real estate on loan application, on loans fully repaid and on which no one lost money, and for which non-crime the jury is presently contemplating stealing private property.

Fani Willis, future spokesmodel for Carnival Cruise lines, filed a RICO case using a law never before interpreted to include political speech, and (assuming her own crimes don't nail her first) wants to bar Georgia voters from voting for PDJT.

Foreign-Resident Smith is plenty big mad at PDJT and accuses him of "bad stuff, but the courts are presently contemplating how bad the stuff really is (and if it is actually even against the law). We'll get back to you, but National Review doesn't like Trump, so he must be guilty of something.

The Courts give greater leeway in State Civil Courts and even more in State Family Courts.

Like I said, they are most definitely playing it close to the margins, but the Courts have allowed this type of shit.

Should they? Of course not. But you play under the rules that are set. And NY found a workaround here that would need to go all the way up the chain to the Supremes to get any sort of Rule Change.

169 It really is worse than most people think.

The state of New York passed the Adult Survivors Act (ASA) in May 2022 which amends state law to allow alleged victims of sexual offenses for which the statute of limitations has lapsed to file civil suits for a one-year period, from November 24, 2022, to November 24, 2023. The entire purpose of the act was to target Donald Trump. On the day the law took effect she sued Trump.

184 New York courts are lawless. They've pretty much ignored federal precedent. Look what they've done with the Bruen Decision. They've basically buried it in the docket and played keep away. They're trying to make sure it will take years to get back to SCOTUS, who has denied every injunction in support of the 2A. The New York courts simply took that as confirmation their scheme would work. It's really empowered them and made SCOTUS look weak. Meanwhile, the NY legislature keeps passing whatever they want when it's clear what they are doing is unconstitutional.

196 Adult Survivors Act (ASA) is clearly an ex post facto law, designed to make illegal what the state had previous determined could not be prosecuted.

the reason we have statutes of limitations is to prevent wrongful convictions - after many years evidence evaporates, memories get fuzzy. Accusations can never be proven or disproven. So, we limit the window in which charges can be made. It's 10 YEARS for cases like this. She waited 30 years.

It's also a civil trial, so you only need a majority of the jury to agree.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨

The White House is REFUSING to hand over early drafts of President Biden’s 2015 Ukraine speech where he called for the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.

These drafts are important as it is believed, based on public reporting, that the then-VP “called an audible” and changed U.S. policy toward Ukraine to benefit his son on the plane ride to Ukraine.

Joe Biden later bragged about withholding a U.S. loan guarantee if Ukraine did not fire the prosecutor.

If the White House does not permit the production of these documents, our committee will consider the use of compulsory process.

260 Meanwhile, the NY legislature keeps passing whatever they want when it's clear what they are doing is unconstitutional.

The real solution to all of this is to file 42 USC 1983 deprivation of constitutional rights under color of law - lawsuits against the law makers and governor while asserting that there is no "Sovereign Immunity" for an unconstitutional act. “An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” Norton vs Shelby County, 118 U.S. 425, p. 442. The "affords no protection" of that SCOTUS decision means no "Sovereign Immunity". The Constitution is written in plain English, there is no excuse for writing unconstitutional laws. Make gov officials financially liable and this will all end.

Because such a civil suit would be quickly dismissed at the trial court, and at the appellate court level, on the basis of "Sovereign Immunity" it could appear on the SCOTUS docket very quickly, so that it could end gun control in short order.

Paul's too sophisticated to let a mere word here or there inconvenience him!

Besides,

1. Trump was talking about *kissing* women.
2. Bush is incredulous that he can "get away with that"
3. Trump expanded it to what stars can get away with.

It also must be noted that even on the subject of stealing kisses, he mentions that he tried to close in a woman but could not. Why couldn't he get it done, if he simply forced himself on women?

But that requires context, and not a simple surface tension of directed sympathy people like Paul walk around feeling "sophisticated" about.

303 Just a few years ago, we would have said that this level of insanity, collusion and outright denial of faced facts would not have been possible. Well, here we are. . . . .what to do. . . . . .walk away or grab a piece of cold steel. . . .which?

304 What I don't get is the average Dem voter. They have almost nothing to lose, plus the economy gets better for them. Take a chill pill, folks.

They do what they are told, basically. Sadly they are ripe for the panic among the elite, and they are used to following where they lead.

306 >>>300 295 I can understand the desparation if Trump somehow gets in for the folks responsible for the Ukranian bio-labs, Wuhan, vaccine lies, FBI entrapments, CIA bunglers, Epstien enablers, etc. They have something to lose, or at least a lot more work to do to keep things hidden. What I don't get is the average Dem voter. They have almost nothing to lose, plus the economy gets better for them. Take a chill pill, folks.

He asked the Blacks and Hispanics, 'what have you got to lose?', last time and increased voter percentage to Republican by both races. It will be more this time. They know he's a man of his word.

307 He also told the Christians, 'I won't let you down.', and he didn't.
They remember too.

308 Feds didn't raise interest rates.
---------
Shouldn't that make it go up ?

They also said something that was received as "...and don't expect a rate drop real soon." So that sort of "explains" it.

But really, the market moves like a flock of birds or a school of baitfish. They're all going along in what looks like a deliberate direction and then suddenly for some reason or no reason at all, one near the edge twitches and the rest all turn with it.

309 "...with liberty and justice for all'

Well, that's been debunked.

311 And THAT'S what the pathetic MeAgain Kelly is afraid of.

Not that it shows that women lie about rape. Not that this lunatic makes a joke of our justice system. Not that it exposes that the left will do ANYTHING to try and destroy its political opponents.

No, she hates the fact that it's helping Trump get re-elected.

And people are confused why these 'conservative' pundits no longer have any influence.

315 I haven't defended her nor examined whether her work was well done on the case. Neither has Minnfidel.

The appeal is mostly irrelevant, unless it is particularly timely.

I find it doubtful that the original case would've had different results though, the point of rigging things is that they are rigged.

Yea, I don't get where he's coming from where anyone was either attacking or defending her FFS. The point was the rigging. Not sure why Runner has some hard on that we were defending her. SMDH.

317 Makes you wonder what kind of character can vote for Biden. I believe it is the type of individual who aspires to man the ovens. Just as we see the insane running throughout our cities we also see those who are truly evil.

318 bonhomme (#237):
The "grab 'em by the pussy" remark isn't even really about women. The fact is that every man or woman, straight or gay, can get all the pussy/dick/butthole/mouth/whatever-orifice-they-like from young attractive partners of whichever gender they prefer: all you need is to be (a) rich enough, or (b) famous enough, and groupies will be throwing themselves at you. Billionaires, actors and actresses, musicians, and professional sports stars all qualify. Probably some other categories, too.

What this tells us about human nature, and moral standards, is sad, but (to repeat) not particularly gender-related. Have you ever seen pictures of Mae West in her old age? She was 80+ and looked it, and the members (heh!) of her household staff were all handsome muscular 20-something men wearing nothing but swimming trunks, not just around the swimming pool but in the living room.
