The Morning Report — 1/30/24

joyfbombiran.jpg

Good morning, kids. I didn't intend to lead off with Joy Reid, the shrieking knockwurst with more ghastly repurposed merkins on her head than Sy Sperling and the Istanbul rug bazaar combined, dropping an F-bomb on her nightly 30 minutes of hate on MSNSDAP, but my muse takes me where it wants to go.

Reid was trying to blame Republicans for the border crisis when she played a video of Biden saying he would shut the border down.

“Congressional Republicans love to latch on to [fraudulent] President Biden and Democrats’ successful policies and take credit for things they didn’t do, while tying themselves into pretzels to do nothing for the American people for the sake of Donald Trump,” Reid began. “Case in point, fixing what they say is a crisis at the border with congressional negotiators continuing work on a bipartisan deal to tie border policy changes to funding for Ukraine. Over the weekend, [fraudulent] President Biden said he’s ready to take action if Congress is serious about solving the border issue.”

Reid then played two clips of Biden, one in which he said he would shut down the border immediately if the proposed legislation were law today.

“And Congress needs to get it done,” Biden added when suddenly Reid was caught off camera saying “starting another f*cking war.”

The audio was then quickly cut, with Reid’s sentence audibly cut off before she went on to blame Trump for the legislation not yet passing. . . Reid’s “war” comment is likely a reference to the White House saying the nation would respond to the drone attack in Jordan that killed three service members and injured dozens more.

Let's face it. Statistically speaking, Joy Reid has virtually no audience. In point of fact it's the blogosphere that gives her the lion's share of exposure. Usually, I avoid her like plague since highlighting anything that emanates from her small exhaust port is a waste of pixels. But in this case, her accidental dig at Biden is quite revealing. In fact, disregarding where she's coming from she sounded positively America First.

With everything he's doing, or more accurately being directed to do by Obama/Rice/Jarrett, collapsing in on them and more importantly everyone, they are desperate for one big ass wag of the dog (if they can keep it away from Obama's chef, and the odds are good since he drowned in three feet of water just offshore of the Obama Martha's Vineyard compound). Looks like Ukraine is a bust on that one, so just before they put him in the ground, heeeeere's Johnny! — McCain that is with his #1 chart busting smash "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran!"

Joy Reid notwithstanding, this is now the battlecry from the propagandists, surprise-surprise, since their job is the dissemination of the junta's desires to the masses.

Iran, allegedly, via proxy, attacked U.S. installments in Jordan yesterday. The corporate state media and the national security state have seized on the opportunity to promote instigating a full-scale war with Iran.

Make no mistake: attacking Iran, which would be no cakewalk even on its own, would almost certainly result in China and Russia jumping in on the other side, at which point we’d have World War III with nuclear powers.

The geopolitical reality — insulated as these technocrats are from it — is that the U.S. and the broader neoliberal world order have a three-front war brewing, nearly entirely of its own making: in Eurasia, the Middle East, and East Asia. Only a fool, hopped up on hubris and war contractor talking points, would believe it is capable of waging and winning even one of these without incurring nuclear annihilation, let alone all three at once.

This is the stuff of crumbled empires.

As I averred yesterday, all of this would not be happening with Trump in the White House, or at the very least nowhere near the breadth, depth and danger levels that have us on the brink of catastrophe. If elections have consequences, stolen elections have it out the freaking wahzoo.

That's why Joy Reid's outburst rings true. Before we go hoisting her, presumably with a crane, on our shoulders and proclaiming her as the next Fetterman, it should be noted that she said this off camera and only apologized for dropping the F-bomb, and not the truth nuke. It's likely her attitude is heavily shaded by hatred of Israel. Also, the prime directive is to protect Biden at all costs while sliming and smearing Republicans, especially Donald Trump. So it's all run of the mill immediate political calculus.

As we have observed over the past few years, it's interesting to compare and contrast the positions of the hardcore anti-war Left in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 with their attitude towards Ukraine. If I'm correct, and you don't have to be Kreskin to read these tea leaves since the above link clearly shows what's about to happen, the Code Pink pinkos are going to be doing a Hallelujah Chorus of John McCain's big hit any moment now.

Regardless of why Reid is disgusted by Biden looking to wag the dog, you have to believe that a very large swathe of the citizenry are equally disgusted. But not for the same reasons as she. It's the open borders on top of and exacerbating the crashing economy, stupid. We see it and now traditional Democrats see it, especially blacks and Latinos of the legitimate citizen variety. Joy Reid's outburst in that regard is for sure a tell that Biden and his party are facing an ass-kicking of tremendous proportions.

And that segues quite nicely into this semi-alarming and infuriating bit of news:

The numbers, which Turning Point Action provided to Breitbart News exclusively, are stunning. Across ten battleground states, the group identified 4,571,210 disengaged GOP voters who did not vote in 2016 or 2020. The ten states counted are Florida, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada. While Trump won Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and North Carolina in 2020, Democrat President Joe Biden took the other six states—and in each one, the disengaged GOP voters total was more than the margin of Biden’s victory over Trump.

For instance, in Pennsylvania, the margin between Trump and Biden was 80,555. The number of disengaged GOP voters was, per Turning Point Action’s analysis, 589,350—more than seven times the margin. In Michigan, the margin was 154,188 votes by which Biden beat Trump. Turning Point Action found 490,630 disengaged GOP voters there, more than three times the margin.

It was even more profound in places like Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia. In Georgia, the margin was 11,779—and the number of disengaged GOP voters was, per Turning Point Action, 539,480—more than 45 times the margin. In Arizona, the margin between Trump and Biden was 10,457—and Turning Point Action identified 286,440 disengaged GOP voters there, more than 27 times the margin. In Wisconsin, 20,682 votes separated Trump and Biden—and Turning Point identified 542,720 disengaged GOP voters there. That is more than 26 times the margin. . .

. . . Turning Point Action is doing a major “ballot chasing” program across those three states—Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia—designed to get these people to vote.

“It’s a little wonky, but we can’t touch the ballot,” Kirk said when asked to explain what ballot chasing is. “Ballot harvesting is illegal in these states. We actually honor the law. We follow the law—the bad guys, they break the law. That’s actually ballot harvesting, but we don’t touch the ballot. We understand there’s voting month, and then we find the people who are low-propensity voters—we’re not interested in the people showing up anyway. That’s one of the problems with the RNC—the RNC is focused on moving people who already vote on election day into the category of early voting. That’s not a new vote; it’s just the same votes being transferred into a different column. So we try to go out there and find these low-propensity voters and try to get them to submit their ballot in that 30-day period, and we do that through a variety of ways. We’ll have 300 full-time people in Arizona and Wisconsin. It will be, to be my knowledge, the largest deployment of full-time field staff in the history of modern conservative politics.”

Two things: first, to hell with being worried about breaking the law vis a vis ballot harvesting. The Left are doing it and in point of fact the laws were completely bastardized and eviscerated with the cover of the lockdowns and fake-demic to do exactly that. So do what they do. Then again, with the justice system being what it is, it's us who'll be prosecuted for election fraud, right?

Second, and most importantly, Charlie Kirk and company neither ask nor answer the rather cromulent question of WHY. Why didn't voters show up? Could it be that they were sick and tired of merely voting against the slightly, and now ever so slightly lesser of two evils, the Grifting Oleaginous Potemkin Party that is the GOP instead of having a reason to vote for a true opposition party? One that actually puts forth pro-American and anti-globalist/Democrat policies?

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, here – as if we didn't know this ages ago – is what open borders and the equally horrendous policies of Hart-Celler gets us:

It seems like a no-brainer that the men and women elected to lead the U.S. would put America’s interest above all else, and yet, there are daily reminders that not only are they not doing that, but their allegiances are to foreign nations wanting to destroy the country.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported exclusively Monday that federal authorities caught a Somali terrorist from the al-Shabaab terror group at the California border and released him into the interior United States, where he stayed for almost a year before eventually being arrested again in Minnesota. . .

. . . It’s hard to explain what it does to the psyche of a country’s citizens when they realize national safety is a myth and even worse when one of its elected officials is telling crowds of people in a foreign language that her allegiances lie with Somalia first.

Democrat Minn. Rep. Ilhan Omar told Somalis at a recent event that although there are “areas of friction” among their people, Somalis know “they are Somalians first, Muslims second.”

“Many Somalians have personally called me to encourage me to speak to the U.S. government and help Somalia. They wanted to know what the U.S. government could do for Somalia to ensure the MoU [Memorandum of Agreement] never turns into a full bilateral agreement. My answer to Somalians was that the U.S. government will only do what Somalians in the U.S. tell them to do. They will do what we want and nothing else,” Omar told the crowd according to a translation on X, formally Twitter. “They must follow our orders, and that is how we will safeguard the interest of Somalia. We Somalians must have that confidence in ourselves that we call for the shots in the U.S.”

“We live in the U.S., pay taxes in the U.S., and have a real voice. The U.S. is a country where one of your daughters is in Congress to represent your interests,” she continued.

“For as long as I am in the U.S. Congress, Somalia will never be in danger. Its waters will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others. The U.S. would not dare to support anyone against Somalia to steal our land or oceans. Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system,” Omar promised. “The woman you sent to Congress is working day and night to protect your interests. She knows your plight and that of Somalia. I am as concerned about Somalia as you guys are. Together we will protect the interests of Somalia.”

She is not the only official accused of subverting U.S. interests for those of a foreign country. The Daily Caller reported in Oct. 2023 that the Biden Administration quietly revoked its special envoy to Iran, Rober Malley’s security clearance, after he was found allegedly “mishandling classified information.”

Malley was the lead negotiator for the U.S. on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) under former President Barack Obama, which saw Iran receive the now infamous billions of dollars in sanctions relief. Malley called the Hamas terrorist group a “charity organization” in a 2008 interview, according to the New York Post.

While the Biden [junta] would love for the American people to focus on Taylor Swift and abortion as the topics that will lead the 2024 presidential election, it’s a tall order, considering the drums of war get louder every day. If the country goes to war with Iran or Hamas, how are American parents supposed to willingly send their children to die in the desert, knowing the people running war games are helping the enemy?

Let's face it; Bro-Fo Omar, who should be ejected the hell out of this country, let alone Congress, for lying about her multiple marriages and literal incestuous relationships to get here, is now openly boasting that her aims and goals and allegiance is not to the United States but Somalia. She should be expelled from Congress, her citizenship stripped and then deported the hell back to her dark age shit hole where her joy buzzer can be re-attached to her nose and then she can be decapitated for failing to taqqiya sunrise us to death.

Meh, as sick as she is, she's merely a symptom. The fish stinks from the head; Joe Biden's 50 years of selling us out to every bad actor around the globe is bad enough but the deliberate opening of the borders and erasure of even the barest minimum of immigration controls is intentionally with malice aforethought endangering the lives of every citizen and an existential threat to our national security. Ergo . . .

T R E A S O N

I don't think I can spell it out any louder or clearer. But Grahamnesty, Cornyn, Cotton et al would rather help open the borders and wag the dog over Tehran.

Meh, what does citizenship or treason even mean in a nation that no longer really exists?

19 I now use Kentucky as a proxy to see analyze voting.

The maximum GOP in Kentucky is Donald Trump's 1.3M vote haul in 2020. In fact his vote totals for 2020 election should be used as max level GOP vote potential.

The maximum Donk vote in Kentucky is in the 700k range.

In the recent Governors race Batsh*t got the usual donk vote of approx 700k, but Cameron got roughly 600k votes, which is 200k less than he got when he ran for AG in 2019.

Somehow Cameron lost 200k votes for some reason.

So every election, the GOP is leaving hundreds of thousands of votes on the table by offering up dog shit candidates.

29 There is no case where America will win a conventional war abroad. It lacks the political leadership and public will for it.

Eventually, one of our misadventures *will* provoke a response from a real power led by serious people. Not the JV team. When that happens, the US will be unable to meet that response, and will face the choice of nuclear escalation, or the permanent loss of its ability to bully the rest of the world into putting up with its constant bullshit anymore.

Neither one of those scenarios ends well for us. Every new blood-soaked international cash grab our feckless, reckless leaders lunge into could be our last.

There's protests...and then there's protests. Ones that pop up, out of the blue, get major media coverage immediately as a conservative protest (when the media didn't even cover the March for Life this month), and have interesting names and places to go (like CA at the end?) - just sayin...

Attend March for Life. Attend other pre-established yearly protests.

The ten states counted are Florida, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada. While Trump won Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and North Carolina in 2020, Democrat President Joe Biden took the other six states—and in each one, the disengaged GOP voters total was more than the margin of Biden’s victory over Trump."

So which was it, Trump lost because of millions of disengaged GOP voters? Or Trump lost because of Democrat mail-in ballot crimes? We can't have it both ways.

They’re not gonna vote for any other GOP candidate but they’ll enthusiastically vote for Trump. It’s millions of votes across the country. People complain Trump is also hated by millions (Karens and wine moms etc) but that crowd is probably not gonna vote for any Republican candidate anyway. The game of arithmetic with Trump is does he draw more disaffected voters to him than he repels? There is both addition and subtraction but to me it’s obvious that he’s a net gainer of votes in that dynamic… it’s why he won the “blue wall” rust belt states in 2016

Their objective? No.

Their duty? Yes. The Fed's "dual mandate" is, after all, "full employment" and "stable prices." This is impossible, of course, but that's the requirement. The Fed has never, ever been fond of that "stable prices" part of their charter, and has been ignoring it for a century. 2% inflation - the normal Fed target - is *not* "stability."

So by their duty, they should be pushing for deflation to get prices back to stability. But they won't. They never do. They push inflation at all times.

Yup. I talked about this on the Podcast a few weeks back. The Administration has done themselves no favors by setting the wrong expectation on this topic when it comes to the public. The Administration and the Fed have been perfectly happy to let the press arm of the Party run with, "inflation is down and happy days are here again and everything will get better and you'll be able to afford stuff again and for now on."

The press has been out there for months pushing this message with full Party backing, and then people still get gut-punched when they go to the store, and then they get confused and resentful because while they don't know the mechanisms underneath it, they *do* know they have been lied to.

It depends what is driving it, from large scale productivity increases it wouldn't be an issue.

As a psychological price expectations thing it is an issue because what it means is that people are avoiding trade (buying things) because they expect the thing to be cheaper in the future, which in turn causes the price to fall from lower demand. The eventual thing that'd fix this is supply falling faster than demand which isn't ideal, over the long run you want supply to expand.

It's the reverse of the positive price spiral where people's expectations of higher prices cause them to spend immediately further pushing prices higher.

Generally the more high visibility the office the more people that vote for it and more people vote overall in presidential election years.

So, you would expect 820K votes for AG in an off year election would lead to far more votes in an on year election for governor.

Harvard University's chief diversity and inclusion officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, appears to have plagiarized extensively in her academic work, lifting large portions of text without quotation marks and even taking credit for a study done by another scholar—her own husband—according to a complaint filed with the university on Monday.

This should no longer be surprising to anyone. Folks have known it in their personal dealings for decades, and we're now seeing the glorious maturing of it. It's neat in a way because it's like an experiment where you allow a cargo cult group of natives to reach the highest levels of society in order to see how they handle it and what happens to the society with them in charge.

Related, JackStraw posted this yesterday. The feds are giving out codewords for black applicants to put in their applications/resumes in specific places so that they are recognized, set aside, and get moved to the front of the line in hiring.

273 253 The numbers, which Turning Point Action provided to Breitbart News exclusively, are stunning. Across ten battleground states, the group identified 4,571,210 disengaged GOP voters who did not vote in 2016 or 2020...For instance, in Pennsylvania, the margin between Trump and Biden was 80,555.

If you extrapolate their numbers it suggests roughly 13 million former GOP voters that could be reached. This doesn't account for former D or independent voters.

There were only 168 million registered voters in 2020, 158 million voted.

The voter pool can't be as large as they're saying it is or fraud in 2020 had to be upwards of 30 million.

Worse yet, complete subversion of the Bible itself.
Just one example of hundreds.
Read Matthew 17:21 in your KJV. Hopefully you have one.
Kind of important, yes?
Now read it in your NIV.

Is the blood of Christ important?
How many times is mention thereof removed from your ESV?

Those Alexandrian texts that were used for the "new age" "Bible" versions were written by heretics. Found in trash cans and being used for starting fires.

But, but, but, the KJV is so hard to read.
Puh-lease.

That's my understanding as well.

In a deflationary market you gain more purchasing power by NOT spending your money before you have to, whereas in an inflationary one you gain more purchasing power by spending right now.

I suspect that this is NOT as bad as claimed, but would change the sort of society we have - a lot of the frivolous and status spending would go away and people would spend more money on real things of last value.

For example...if you can get a fancy dinner for $50 now or $60 next year...why not buy it now when it is "cheaper". OTOH people are still going to invest money and buy things with a real return on investment in a deflationary atmosphere. Do I buy this company making $100K a year now for $200K or next year for $180K?

Practically speaking Trump had relatively high in-party support in 2020. In 2016 he had some losses of conventional GOP. If you go through things bottom-up, Trump got regular GOP voters(as much as might reasonably be expected for any R candidate in the last 40 years) and added a bunch of independents and crossover voters to reach his total in 2020. 2016 was more of a swap so he got pretty normal R vote totals.

There's not much of an argument that Trump didn't add a lot of voters vs what an R candidate would normally have in 2020. Numerically one might argue that Biden added a massive amount of D voters relative to what one would normally have.

347 Donors sue No Labels over possible third-party presidential ticket, alleging ‘bait and switch’
Donors “should not have to stand idly by while their dollars are used to threaten democracy,” Douglas and Jonathan Durst allege in the lawsuit.
By KELLY GARRITY; Politico; 01/23/2024 02:08 PM EST

Two prominent No Labels donors are suing the centrist political group for pulling a “bait and switch” by preparing to back a possible third-party presidential bid in 2024, after soliciting donations to support “bipartisan activism.”

No Labels “has lost its way, abandoned its original mission, and fundamentally betrayed its donors’ trust in the process,” the plaintiffs, Douglas and Jonathan Durst, allege in the lawsuit, filed with the New York State Supreme Court Tuesday.

The Durst cousins, part of a powerful New York real estate family, are suing No Labels for the $145,000 that members of the Durst family have donated to the organization since 2016, accusing No Labels of a breach of contract and “unjust enrichment,” according to the lawsuit.

350 That is a fundamental difference, I did not change, Mr. Short, they changed.

Most of what the left calls common sense reasonable policy in 2024 was stuff that in 2004 they claimed no one would ever want and that only a right wing extremist would ever even dream up.

And the amazing part of this to me is people like Maher basically going along with it.

If you publicly claim to believe the things the 2004 Kerry platform claimed, or hell even the 2012 Obama platform claimed you are now a far right wing extremist...

CBS News, Jan 29: Iran has denied it was behind a drone strike that killed three U.S. troops at a military base in northeast Jordan on Sunday, but an Iran-backed militia based in Iraq said it had carried out four attacks in the area. "But," CBS isn't a true believer either?

Oct. 26, 2023, Task & Purpose article, "19 US troops have Traumatic Brain Injury after drone attacks in Iraq and Syria. Fifteen of the troops diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury were based in Syria. The other four were in Iraq."

CNBC, World Politics, 01/28/24: In part, "“While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq,” Biden said in a statement.

(In addition to 3 dead) "At least 34 personnel were being evaluated for possible traumatic brain injury, a U.S. official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity. Two different officials said some wounded U.S. forces were medically evacuated from the base for further treatment."

393 What can be said more than you've already stated this morning, JJ? Little else I think, save that Charlie Kirk - having good intentions - completely misses the point of 2020, 2024 and U.S. elections in general now.
President Trump DID NOT legally lose the last contest. In fact, he legally won by the most votes ever received by a White House incumbent. And yet, here's Kirk buying into the utter BS thinking that America is a 50-50 Nation politically (we are not) and that the reason 2020 went the way it did is because our side just couldn't rally enough votes in key counties. I swear, I am damn sick to my core of so-called conservative commentators who push these falsehoods, probably for the sake of "comity" or to keep their cushy consulting jobs!
And the whole 50-50 Nation talking point was created by the GOPe to cover for their constant betrayals, a convenient excuse and nothing more. We have ALWAYS been a center-right nation, more like 60-40 or 65-35 but then the GOPe has never let a hard truth get in the way of good governance (i.e. - grifting).
Meh. Let Charlie Kirk and Conservative Inc. piss up the voter canvas tree. That effort is meaningless when our elections are stolen!
